  • Data-Acquisition systems are widely used in Photovoltaic(PV) system application in order to analyze and optimize the performance of PV systems. In this paper, the development of a computer-based data-acquisition system and its application are described. The proposed Computer-based data-acquisition System consists of a set of sensors for measuring both environmental and electrical parameters. The collected data are first conditioned and then interfaced to PC using a data-acquisition card. The Labview program was used to further process, display on the monitor at real time and store on the hard disk. We designed and installed two stand-alone PV systems to supply different loads, which in this case a Low Pressure Sodium(LPS) 55 [W] lamp and a electrodless 55 [W] lamp. When the proposed data acquisition system is applied on the designed PV systems, Optimized system operation methods are investigated to confirm a stable load availability and extend battery life time.

  • The purpose of this paper is to suggest the methodology for the establishment of operational concept for speed-up of defense robot and improvement direction of the defense acquisition system for the defense robot. In order to achieve this goal, the current defense acquisition system was analyzed into long-term planning, mid-term programming, and project execution stages. And I suggest the methodology for the establishment of operational concept for speed-up of defense robot and direction of development of the defense robot acquisition system considering the characteristics of the robot in terms of core technologies of robot, robot ecosystem and effectiveness-based-robot-design, respectively. Based on the methodology for establishment of the operational concept of defense robot and development direction of the defense acquisition system presented in this study, it will be possible to design efficiently the defense robot in the future.

  • In this paper, we analyze the performance of double-dwell hybrid initial acquisition in a direct sequence ultra-wideband (DS-UWB) system via detection, miss, false alarm probabilities, and mean acquisition time. In the analysis, we consider the effect of the acquisition sequence as well as the deployment scenario of the abundant multipath components over small coverage of the piconet in the DS-UWB system. Based on the simulation, we obtain various performance measures for the mean acquisition time by varying parameters such as the total number of hypotheses to be searched, subgroup size, and dwell time. We thereupon suggest the optimum parameter set for the initial acquisition in the DS-UWB system.

  • 이 논문은 Rayleigh 페이딩 채널환경에서 가산 백색 가우시안 잡음 제거 필터를 적용한 직렬 탐색 동기 획득 방식에 대한 성능을 분석하고, 임계치를 페이딩 정도에 따라 변화시킬 수 있도록 참조 필터를 추가하여 페이딩 환경에서 강인하게 동기 획득이 이루어지도록 하였다. 성능 분석을 위해 사용된 채널 모델은 JAKE 모델이며 성능분석 결과, 제안된 동기 획득 방식이 기존의 직렬 탐색동기 획득 방식과 수신된 신호에 대한 칩별 연속 평균을 구해 페이딩에 의한 감쇄요소를 보상하는 가산 백색 가우시안 잡음 제거 필터만을 적용한 동기 획득 방식보다 낮은 신호대잡음비에서 평균 동기 획득 시간이 줄어듬을 알 수 있었다.

  • In this paper, we developed an outdoor augmented reality system which has remote real scences acquisition ability. The real scenes acquisition system consists of image acquisition system, tracking system, wireless data transceiver and power supply. Tracking system that consists of Tans Vector and RT-20 measures a position and attitude of the CCD camera that attached at the remote control helicopter. Wireless data transceiver system is utilized for data transmission of remote system that of attitude, position information, andreal scenes data that acquired by the CCD camera. Maximum propelling power of remote control helicopter is 15Kg, so we used 7.2V li-ion cell as a power supply for system minimize. As the results of experiment, the developing system presented application possibility of remote information acquisition system such as construction simulation & estimation, broadcasting, tour guide.

함정의 품질 제고 방법론 연구 (A Study on Quality Improvement Methodology based on SE and M&S for Navy Ship Acquisition Process)

  • Navy ship acquisition management business contributed to the korean Navy and defense exports with government suppliers in Korea for over 40 years. But due to advanced technology, development trend of Navy ship and defense export requirements, it enable to make a contribution to a better system improvement are being demanded. In this paper, an adjective Navy ship acquisition process is presented in order to improve the acquisition process takes the first step for acquisition planning process to enhance the efficiency and rationality that is based on consensus of Navy ship expert and experienced. In addition, systems engineering (SE) and quality control (QC) techniques based on Modeling and Simulation are investigated to carry out efficient project management and scientific quality control system in Navy ship acquisition process. Finally, it is suggested to apply SE/QC based on M&S for Navy ship acquisition process using civilian infrastructure and organizations in order to take advantage of the world's leading domestic industry based on considering the difficult conditions of Navy ship suppliers.

MEMS형 가속도 센서를 이용한 지진 데이터 취득 시스템의 설계 및 구현 (Design and Implementation of Seismic Data Acquisition System using MEMS Accelerometer)

  • In this paper, we design a seismic data acquisition system(SDAS) and implement it. This system is essential for development of a noble local earthquake disaster preventing system in population center. In the system, we choose a proper MEMS-type triaxial accelerometer as a sensor, and FPGA and ARM processor are used for implementing the system. In the SDAS, each module is realized by Verilog HDL and C Language. We carry out the ModelSim simulation to verify the performances of important modules. The simulation results show that the FPGA-based data acquisition module can guarantee an accurate time-synchronization for the measured data from each axis sensor. Moreover, the FPGA-ARM based embedded technology in system hardware design can reduce the system cost by the integration of data logger, communication sever, and facility control system. To evaluate the data acquisition performance of the SDAS, we perform experiments for real seismic signals with the exciter. Performances comparison between the acquired data of the SDAS and the reference sensor shows that the data acquisition performance of the SDAS is valid.

고품질 무기체계 획득을 위한 성숙도평가 방안 소개 (A Study on Readiness Assessment for The Acquisition of High Quality Weapon System)

  • Purpose: Technology readiness assessment(TRA) used as a standard readiness assessment tool in the acquisition program of weapon system has some limitations in the comprehensive understanding of the complex system. Therefore, this research is intended to suggest a holistic maturity assessment method for the acquisition of high quality weapon system. Methods: Technology readiness level(TRL), manufacturing readiness level(MRL), integration readiness level(IRL) and system readiness level(SRL) developed to assess system maturities in the various aspects are compared and analyzed to draw an improvement avenue for the current readiness assessment method. Results: TRL, MRL, IRL and SRL have large differences in their maturity targets during the acquisition life cycle: technological performance, manufacturing capability, interface between components and total system, respectively. They complement one another's shortcomings Conclusion: To achieve a successful acquisition of high quality weapon system, multi-dimensional readiness assessment is required. Therefore, comprehensive readiness assessment using TRL, MRL, IRL and SRL will contribute to the acquisition of high quality weapon system through the accurate maturity information of overall system.
