  • In CAI, it is very important to evaluate the grade of understanding which students reach about the scope of problem which students are studying. In this paper, to find out students' learning achievement, we make students reply to test which the system presents and then lead evaluation result using fuzzy number about answer result. Besides, we define the degree of prior knowledge of studentsd as conditioned fuzzy number and use existing fuzzy accuracy production function begore the stage of using fuzzy number, Next, we apply conditioned fuzzy number to accuracy degree of answer produces by this function. Through this, we come to the conclusion that evaluation result as to the same answer result is changed according to the degree of prior knowledge about the scope which students are studying.

  • This paper proposes an efficient remote video evaluation system that is matched well with personalized characteristics of students using information filtering based on user profile. For making a question in forms of video, a key frame extraction method based on coordinate, size and color information is proposed. And Question-mating intervals are extracted using gray-level histogram difference and time window. Also, question-making method that combined category-based system with keyword-based system is used for efficient evaluation. Therefore, students can enhance their study achievement through both supplementing their inferior area and preserving their interest area.

  • This study was designed to investigate whether applying mind mapping in a biology class had an effect on students' creativity. Participants of this study were 165 1st grade middle school students. The pretest-post test control group design was employed. A control group was instructed with a traditional method and an exerimental group was instructed using the mind-map applied method. The units "Digestion and Circulation" and "Respiration and Excretion" were selected for this study, and each group was treated for 24 class hours. To measure student creativity, the TTCT test was used. For assessing students' level of logical thinking, the compact version of GALT was used. Test results were analyzed by ANCOVA and correlation analysis by SPSS 12.0. The creativity of students in experimental group was significantly improved than the control group (p< .01). Fluency, flexibility, and originality of students in experimental group were improved (p< .01). Students did not show any differences on creativity according to their academic achievement level or gender (p> .05) in the experimental group. Students did not show any differences on creativity according to their logical thinking level (p> .05), either. However, the students of logical thinking level in the experimental group improved their flexibility (p< .05). There was no correlation between students' creativity and their achievement (p> .05), but the creativity shows a lower correlation to performance evaluation (p< .05).

  • The purpose of this study is to draw implications for improving the method of reflecting the competencies in Korea mathematics curriculum, by analyzing what competencies are reflected in foreign mathematics and curriculum. As a result of the study, foreign countries were reflecting their competencies in mathematics curriculum in various ways. In France mathematics curriculum, the achievement standards of learning competencies(compétences travaillées) that students should reach by cycle were presented, and the related common competencies(socle commun) were indicated. In Australia's mathematics curriculum, the general capabilities for achievement standards were identified, and the achievement criteria for proficiency strands to be reached by grade level were presented. British Columbia's mathematics curriculum actively reflected its competencies. In the mathematics curriculum, domains were reorganized based on the competencies, and achievement standards of the competencies were proposed. The results of this study will help in improving the ways in which were reflected competencies in mathematics curriculum.

  • In this study, the case of error became the object of learning, and the investigator applied these cases to an actual class and established three study problems in order to achieve the purpose of this study. The results of analysis of students' errors in figure based on before achievement test are shown as follows: First, the most errors occurred in the figure was the ones from deficient mastery of prerequisite concepts and definitions. Specially, the errors from deficient mastery of prerequisite concepts and definitions have the majority. it is very high ratio even if it considers an influence of an evaluation question item. so, I think it is necessary to teach concept related figure above all. Second, as the results of application 'finding errors' to a class, there is a meaningful difference in the mathematical achievement and reasoning ability within significance level 5%. This means 'finding errors' is one of the teaching method that it develops the mathematical achievement and reasoning ability.
