The computer vision system was designed and constructed to measure the weight of a dairy cattle. Its development involved the functions of image capture, image preprocessing, image algorithm, and control integrated into one program. The experiments were conducted with the model dairy cattle and the real dairy cattle by two ways. First experiment with the model dairy cattle was conducted by using the indoor vision experimental system, which was built to measure the model dairy cattle in the laboratory. Second experiment with real dairy cattle was conducted by using the outdoor vision experimental system, which was built for measuring 229 heads of cows in the cattle facilities. This vision system proved to a reliable system by conducting their performance test with 15 heads of real cow in the cattle facilities. Indirect weight measuring with four methods were conducted by using the image processing system, which was the same system for measuring of body parameters. Error value of transform equation using chest girth was 30%. This error was seen as the cause of accumulated error by manually measurement. So it was not appropriate to estimate cow weight by using the transform equation, which was calculated from pixel values of the chest girth. Measurement of cow weight by multiple regression equation from top and side view images has relatively less error value, 5%. When cow weight was measured indirectly by image surface area from the pixel of top and side view images, maximum error value was 11.7%. When measured cow weight by image volume, maximum error weight was 57 kg. Generally, weight error was within 30 kg but maximum error 10.7%. Volume transform method, out of 4 measuring weight methods, was minimum error weight 21.8 kg.
This study was carried out to investigate the growth characteristics of standard chrysanthemum 'Baekma', such as fresh weight, dry weight, and leaf area and to develop prediction models for the production greenhouse based on the growth parameters and climatic elements. Sigmoid regressions models for the prediction of growth parameters in terms of dry weight and leaf area were analyzed according to the number of the day after transplanting and the accumulate temperature during this experimental period. The relative growth rate (RGR) of the chrysanthemum was 0.084 g·g-1·d-1 on average during the period. The dry weight and leaf area of 'Beakma' increased exponentially according to the number of day after transplanting and the accumulated temperature, in the case of dry weight increased by an average of 39.1% until 63 days (accumulated temperature of 1601℃), after that dry weight increased by an average of 7.4% before harvest. The leaf area increased by an average of 63.3% until the 28th day after transplanting, and by an average of 6.5% until the 84th day before flower bud differentiation occurred, and increased by an average of 10.6% before harvest. This experiment can be used as a useful data for establishing a cultivation management system and a planned year-round production system for standard chrysanthemum "Baekma". To make a more precise growth prediction model, it will need to be corrected and verified based on various weather data including accumulated irradiation.
We need water equivalent unit data of snowfall for the purpose of forecast and hydrology related research area. This study developed new method of automatic recording snowfall as weight unit. The instrument designed for measuring weight of snowfall by stain-gauge loadcell. Field test of instrument carried out at Daegwallyeong Obs. Station from 22 Jan. to 22 Feb. 2007. During observation period there is 15.3 cm snow depth and 16.0 mm of accumulated water equivalent depth at Daegwallyeong Obs. Station on 13 to 14 Feb. 2007. But the instrument of this study recorded 22.1 mm of water equivalent depth. It is not easy to explain difference between Daegwallyeong and this study. Because this study is only one case of comparison of snow measurement and there is very little amount of snow observation research. The density of snowfall calculated from 0.09 to $0.15g/cm^3$ from the observation data of 13 to 14 Feb. 2007. There is high relation between radar echo and snowfall amount measured by weight unit. It can supports forecast of snowfall and development of numerical model for forecast.
To evaluate the influence of ochratoxin A on the pharmarcokinetics of gentamicin, gentamicin concentrations in the serum, renal cortex and medulla together with parameters of the renal function and histological changes were compared between ochratoxin A-treated rats (0.1 mg of ochratoxin A/kg of body weight, ip, daily for 14 days) and normal rats. Gentamicin was given with a single intramuscular injection (10mg/kg of body weight). Ochratoxin A resulted in an increase of the half-life, the area under the concentration-time curve, the apparent volume of distribution and a decrease of the total body clearance of gentamicin, and accumulated significantly (p<0.01) more gentamicin in the kidneys.

For most of pattern recognition applications, it is required to correctly recognize patterns even if they have translation variations. In this paper, to achieve the goal of translation invariant pattern recognition, we propose a new generalized translation invariant second-order neural network using a constraint on the weights. The weight constraint is implemented using generalized translation invariant features which are accumulated sums of pixel combinations. Simulation results will be given to demonstrate that the proposed second-order neural network has the generalized translation invariant property.

The oxidation rate of krill lipids is very slow and no peroxides are accumulated even after long storage. By means of various chromatographic techniques and mass spectrophotometry, the primary antioxidant has been identified as ${\alpha}$-tocopherol. The phospholipid fractions did not show any antioxidative activity but peroxide-decomposing properties of total lipids depended upon the phospholipid contents. The peroxide-decomposing activities of phospholipids were due to the presence of polar materials generated during the storage. The most peroxide-decomposing fractions of oxidized krill lecithin by DEAE-cellulose column chromatography was low-molecule fraction (mean molecular weight: 182) and high-molecule fraction (mean molecular weight: 1942) was the next. The separation of peroxide-decomposing properties from low-molecule fraction was achieved by partitioning between chloroform and methanol/water. The methanol/water fraction showed strong peroxide-decomposing activities and main component of this fraction was assumed hydroxyamine compounds derived from choline.

Accumulation of tributyltin (TBT) in serum, liver and muscle of olive flounder (Paralichtys olivaceus) was investigated in a 60-d static renewal exposure at $0.1{\mu}g$ TBT/L. Tributyltin accumulated rapidly from 83 ng Sn/g to 2,227 ng Sn/g on a wet weight basis in the serum of the olive flounder and to a greater extent than in the other tissues. The accumulated TBT concentrations in tissues were in the order of serum>liver>muscle on wet or dry-weight basis. High concentrations of dibutyltin (DBT: 990 ng Sn/g dry wt) and monobutyltin (MBT: 141 ng Sn/g dry wt), degradation products of TBT were found in liver of olive flounder at the end of exposure. On the other hand, DBT and MBT was below the detection limits in muscle during the exposure, and only low concentration of DBT (56 ng Sn/g) were detectefd in serum. Butyltin compounds were also quantitatively determined in feral fine-spotted flounder (Pleuronichthys cornutus) collected from Gwangyang Bay as one of polluted area and Sori Island as a reference site. All three butyltin compounds were detected from the fine-spotted flounder from Gwangyang Bay up to 3,107 ng Sn/g of total butyltins in liver, while 120 ng Sn/g of total butyltin concentration was found in the liver of fish from Sori Island.
Objectives : The objectives of this study is to compare the effects of electroacupuncture(EA), warm needling(WN) and Radio Frequency warm needling(RFWN) stimulations on the acupoints at the artificially damaged ankles of Sprague-Dawley rats, which could be classified as the Grade 3. Methods : The foot weight bearing force ratio(FWBFR) of ankle sprain was measured first at 24 hours after without any other stimulations. Pain Recovery Index(PRI) represents the analgesic level, and modified Pain Recovery Index(mPRI) shows the accumulated recovery level. PRI was measured at 2 hours after each stimulus on GB34, GB39 and GB42, and mPRI was during 7 days. Results : EA stimulation of GB34 and GB39 acupoint in grade 3 ankle sprain showed a marked analgesic and recovery effect. RFWN of GB42 exhibited significant analgesic and pain recovery effect. RFWN of GB34 resulted in pain recovery effect but not analgesic effects, and RFWN of GB39 resulted in analgesic effect 2 hours after but not pain recovery. However, WN did not affect the pain recovery among three acupoints at all. Conclusions : In the Grade 3 ankle sprain model, the difference of analgesic effects were explained by the acupoints and the stimulation methods according to the accumulated recovery effects during 7 days. It is insufficient to determine that a certain acupoint has a specific analgesic effect depending on the stimulation method by the results of this study. Therefore, the effects of each stimulation on the acupoints in any other meridians at the sprained ankle should be compared and analyzed.
The administration of a regional public hospitals are expending from profit preference to publicity preference. The weight rate for a profitability and publicity of performance assessment has changed from 84:16 which was resulted by the assessment executed firstly in 1989 to 39:61 as resulted in 2004, the final assessment execution in 2005. Regional public hospitals are exerting and promoting a magnification in public sector to raise up the public-score. With comparison between publicity scores and profitability scores in original scores basis excluding weight rate, the publicity scores ranked higher than profitability scores although the latter was higher by 2002. However, for the administration performance of the regional public hospitals, the deficits increased 11 times from \92.6billion deficits with \460.3billion cost increased by 457% although income as \367.7billion increased by 394% comparing the last 2004 year to the first 1989 year for profit & loss statement of a regional public hospitals. There was analysis for the relation in yearly basis partitioning publicity and profitability for the assessment scores of the to regional public hospitals confirm the accumulated deficits of the hospitals like this attribute to the extension of public sector. The result showed that there was distinct plus relationship from 1999 although a minus relationship in general until 1997 except 1992 and there is a more plus relationship as approaching 2004. That is, it is hard to tell that the accumulated deficits increase of regional government medical center attributed to extension of public sector. On the contrary, the analysis showed the extension of public sector has a mutual relationship with uplift of profitability Meanwhile, it showed that operation cost rate and labor cost are the factors which influence a revenue & expenditure rate among the profitability index according to the results of relation analysis for the representative index of profitability and that of publicity.
Freezing-resistant plants can survive subzero temperatures by withstanding extracellular ice formation. During cold acclimation, their leaves accumulate antifreeze proteins (AFPs) that are secreted into the apoplast and have the ability to modify the normal growth of ice crystals. Three barley, two wheat and two rye cultivars were grown under two different temperature regimes (20/16$^{\circ}C$ and 5/2$^{\circ}C$, day/night). Apoplastic proteins from winter cereals were separated by SDS-PAGE and detected with antisera to AFPs from winter rye. Apoplastic proteins accumulated to much higher levels in cold-acclimated (CA) leaves compared with nonacclimated (NA) ones in winter cereals. After cold acclimation, the protein concentration of apoplastic extracts increased significantly from 0.088 $mgmL^{-1}$ to 0.448 $mgmL^{-1}$, with about 5-fold increment. Also, the apoplastic protein content per gram leaf fresh weight in CA leaves ranged from 31 $\mu\textrm{g}$$(gFW)^{-1}$ to 120 $\mu\textrm{g}$$(gFW)^{-1}$ with an averaged value of 77 $\mu\textrm{g}$$(gFW)^{-1}$, and coefficients of variation of 54.9%. The CA leaves in Musketeer (a Canadian winter rye cultivar) showed the greatest AFPs and antifreeze activity followed by 'Geurumil' (a Korean winter wheat cultivar), and 'Dongbori l' (Korean facultative barley cultivar). The proteins secreted into the wheat leaf apoplast at CA condition were more numerous than those observed in winter rye, where two $\beta$-1,3-glucanase-like proteins (GLPs), two chitinase-like proteins (CLPs) and two thaumatin-like proteins (TLPs) accumulated during cold acclimation. The proteins in barley leaf apoplast at CA conditions were a little different from those in wheat leaves. The AFPs were various among and within species. More freezing-resistant cultivars had more clear and numerous bands than less freezing-resistant ones. The high determination coefficient ($R^2$ =91 %) between freezing resistance and AFPs per gram leaf fresh weight indicated that the amount of AFPs was highly related to freezing resistance in winter cereal crops.
