  • MMORPG(Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game)에서의 게임 서버는 모든 플레이어에게 게임 정보(오브젝트, NPC, 이벤트, 다른 플레이어들의 정보 등)를 실시간으로 전송해야 한다. 그러나, MMORPG에 참여하는 플레이어의 증가로 인해 전송되는 정보의 양이 많아지면 네트워크 전송 지연과 서버의 부담으로 인해 플레이어들간 정보 전송의 문제가 발생한다. 이를 해결하기 위해 본 논문에서는 AOI(Area Of Interest, 관심영역)를 이용하여 자원 이동 및 동기화를 효율적으로 관리할 수 있는 구성요소들과 적용방안을 제시한다.

The Analysis of IDS Alarms based on AOI (AOI에 기반을 둔 침입탐지시스템의 알람 분석)

  • To analyze tens of thousands of alarms triggered by the intrusion detections systems (IDS) a day has been very time-consuming, requiring human administrators to stay alert for all time. But most of the alarms triggered by the IDS prove to be the false positives. If alarms could be correctly classified into the false positive and the false negative, then we could alleviate most of the burden of human administrators and manage the IDS far more efficiently. Therefore, we present a new approach based on attribute-oriented induction (AOI) to classify alarms into the false positive and the false negative. The experimental results show the proposed approach performs very well.

  • Massively Multiplayer Online Game (MMOG) is one of diverse applications where more than hundreds of users enjoy experiencing virtual worlds. Voronoi-based Overlay Network (VON) is proposed to reduce a bandwidth consumption in P2P MMOGs and Vorocast also is made using message forwarding in VON. We propose a dynamic area of interest (AOI) management method that solves problems such as less consistency and high latency due to sending position updates to more neighbor nodes from the message originator in forwarding scheme. Our scheme provides the higher consistency and reduces latency by combining direct connection scheme and Vorocast scheme compared to existing schemes. The proposed model is evaluated through simulations.

An Analysis of AOI(Area of Interest) based on the Eye-Tracking Experiment according to Streetscape Elements (시선추적 실험에 따른 가로공간요소의 관심영역 분석)

  • The purpose of this research is to analyze characteristics of street elements when pedestrians have a view in the street. The research was utilized eye-tracking experiment and two times survey before and after experiment. The experiment is composed as follows. The data collection was conducted two days period from March 30 to 31, 2017. There were 43 participants who were all male and undergraduate students. In the data recording, the stimulus image was presented 65 seconds on a 23-inch monitor. Prior to analyzing data, the images were represented into five elements of AOI(area of interest). The fixation rate was divided by a period such as 'fixation time' and 'fixation count' parameters. The results were additionally obtained by linking analysis with the area ratio of AOI, time series analysis, and questionnaire. First of all, both building signs and advertisement standing boards draws attentions in participants. From a comparison between fixation rate and survey, the data have negative perspective view. Second, the advertisement standing boards are more eye-catching than other elements regardless of AOI size. It shows the priority of elements what should be developed in the environment. Third, the pavement is rarely seen in the fixation rate. Fourth, the trees are not a long frequency but viewed as a positive element. People want to keep the natural site in the street. In summative research, this method of extracting eye movement data would be provided a foundation data for developing streetscape plan based on scientific factors.

An Extented Vorocast Mechanism based on VON (VON을 기반으로 확장된 Vorocast 기법)

  • Network Virtual Environments (NVEs) is a virtual world where users exchanges messages via network connection. A limited visibility sphere called area of interest (AOI) is used to reduce the load created by the interactions between users. VON-Forwarding model is proposed as an effective methods to reduce network bandwidth in P2P network environment. Vorocast and Fibocast originated from Von-forwarding resolves the problems to receive the same messages repeatly. In this paper, We proposed an Extended Volocast scheme to improve the problem not to get consistency except a limited area near to the center of AOI. The proposed scheme maintains the consistency about the broad area into AOI by adjusting geometrical series $2^X$. We perform simulation experiments to show that the proposed scheme provide better performance compared to the other schemes.

  • According to the development of IT industry, prevalence of AOI equipment is spreading, and also requiring the high resolution of the camera used in the equipment. The weight of the camera is increased to obtain a high resolution, and thus increases the vibration displacement is a problem occurring in the picturing, camera motion control also becomes difficult. In this study, using a finite element analysis program NX/NASTRAN, the transient response of the camera was analysed which is subjected to an impact force due to inertia. The finite element analysis result is correlated with laser interferometer measurement. When AOI equipment is restructuring, the correlated finite element analysis model can be used to verify the authenticity of the new design.

  • 지난 10년간 네트워크 기반의 컴퓨터 공격은 급격히 증가했으며 이에 따라 보안 기술도 발달하게 되었다. 침입탐지시스템은 컴퓨터 보안 기술로써 발전되어 왔으나 과도한 침입시도정보의 발생과 그 대부분이 긍정오류(false positive)를 발생시킴으로써 실제로 관리하는데 많은 어려움을 준다. 이러한 문제에 대안으로 여러 연구들이 진행되어 왔으며, 침입시도정보의 축약을 통한 관리적 측면에서의 효율을 높이는 연구도 진행되고 있다 그러한 연구들의 한 방법으로서 속성중심귀납법(Attribute Oriented induction, 이하 AOI)은 침입시도정보를 속성정보에 기반 하여 의미 있는 묶음으로 클러스터링 하는 방식이다 본 논문은 이 방식에서의 문제점을 분석하였으며 그 해결책으로써 본 논문에서는 위협수위 기반 AOI 클러스터링 기법을 제시하였다.

PCB Component Classification Algorithm Based on YOLO Network for PCB Inspection (PCB 검사를 위한 YOLO 네트워크 기반의 PCB 부품 분류 알고리즘)

  • AOI (Automatic Optical Inspection) of PCB (Printed Circuit Board) is a very important step to guarantee the product performance. The process of registering components called teaching mode is first perform, and AOI is then carried out in a testing mode that checks defects, such as recognizing and comparing the component mounted on the PCB to the stored components. Since most of registration of the components on the PCB is done manually, it takes a lot of time and there are many problems caused by mistakes or misjudgement. In this paper, A components classifier is proposed using YOLO (You Only Look Once) v2's object detection model that can automatically register components in teaching modes to reduce dramatically time and mistakes. The network of YOLO is modified to classify small objects, and the number of anchor boxes was increased from 9 to 15 to classify various types and sizes. Experimental results show that the proposed method has a good performance with 99.86% accuracy.

Eye Tracking Analysis for High School Students' Learning Styles in the Process of Solving on Earth Science I (지구과학 I 문제 해결 과정에서 나타난 학습유형에 따른 고등학생의 시선 추적 분석)

  • The purpose of this study is to analysis eye tracking for high school students' learning styles in the process of solving in the behavioral domains of the College Scholastic Ability Test on Earth Science I. The subjects of this study were 50 students from two classes out of 4 classes in E high school in Chungcheong province. Among them, we conducted experiments by randomly sampling 2 students of each type of learning based on the criteria that they had not encountered the problem of Earth Science I from the past two years. The findings indicate that the item correctness rate of divergers, assimilators, convergers, and accommodators were higher in the knowledge domain, application domain, knowledge-understanding domain, and understanding domain. This confirms that there is a difference among the four learning styles in the level of achievement according to the behavioral areas of the assessment questions. The latter finding was that the high eye-share of AOI 2 appeared higher than AOI 1, 3, 4 in the course of solving the problems. This is because the four types of learners pay more careful attention to the AOI 2 area, which is the cue-or-information area of problem solving, that is, the Table, Figure, and Graph area. Therefore, in order to secure the fairness and objectivity of the selection, it is necessary that an equal number of questions of each behavioral domain be selected on the Earth Science I Test of the College Scholastic Ability Test in general. Besides, it seems to be necessary that the knowledge, understanding, application, and the behavior area of the inquiry be highly correlated with the AOI 2 area in development of test questions.

Evaluation of autocorrelation characteristics of arctic oscillation and its cross-correlation to the monsoon and typhoon (북극진동의 자기상관 특성 및 우리나라 장마 및 태풍과의 교차상관 특성 평가)

  • This study investigated the effect of arctic oscillation by analyzing the cross-correlation characteristics between the arctic oscillation index (AOI) and the number of typhoons occurred in the North Pacific, the number of typhoons affecting South Korea, total rainfall amount and number of rainy days during the monsoon season in South Korea. For this analysis, the monthly AOI data were transformed into the average data about January and seasonal AOI data representing winter, spring, fall and winter. The typhoon data and monsoon data were all those collected annually. The data period for this analysis was determined to be from 1961 to 2016 by considering the data available. Based on this analysis, it was found that the arctic oscillation has a weak but statistically significant effect on the monsoon characteristics of South Korea. However, the level of effect was not consistent over the data period but varied significantly periodically. For example, the cross-correlation coefficient derived for the recent 10 years was estimated to be higher than 0.8, but was simply insignificant during the 30 years before the last decade. The overall effect of arctic oscillation on the occurrence of typhoon was found to be statistically insignificant, but was also fluctuating periodically to show somewhat significant effect. Finally, it should be mentioned that the effect of arctic oscillation on the typhoon and monsoon had been changing by turns from 1960s to 2000s. However, in the 2010s, it happened that the effect of arctic oscillation has become significant on both typhoon and monsoon in South Korea.
