7차 교육 과정에 따른 중·고등학교 과학실 구성에 관한 연구 - 교과 과정 분석을 중심으로 - (A Study on the Planning Science Laboratory of Middle and High School Considering the 7th Education Curriculum -Focusing on Analysing Educational Curriculum-)

  • This study will focus on analysing changes in subject content, teaching and learning methods, teaching model, and evaluation which have been brought about by the introduction of the 7th education curriculum, and on considering how many kinds of science labs are needed, and on proposing the desirable direction of building them. Methods for studying the goals above are as follows: First, considerations were given on how science labs must be structured and on which equipment are needed, which were done by analysing change of science education for future society, science subjects in the 7th educational curriculum, current situation of science labs, and science educational materials. Second, based on the need of students, it was examined how many science classes were needed, and through this the number of labs needed and users' requirement were analysed. Third, on the basis of the analysis above, existing conditions in planning science labs and the example of existing labs were examined.

제 6차와 제 7차 초등학교 3, 4학년 과학 교과서의 내용과 삽화의 비교ㆍ분석 (The Comparative Analysis of the Content and illustration in the 6th and 7th National Curriculum 3rd and 4th Grade Primary Science Textbooks)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine whether or not they have been revised corresponding to the purpose of revision by making a comparative analysis of the content and illustration in the 6th and 7th primary science textbooks. The analysis of content was composed of knowledge, inquiry process and attitude. The analysis of illustrations was composed of the kinds of illustrations and the role of illustrations. The findings of this research were as follows: First, as a result of content analysis of the primary science textbooks in the 6th and the 7th national curriculum, the ratio of inquiry process showed the highest frequency, next knowledge and lastly scientific attitude. And the 7th textbooks are greatly emphasized knowledge and science attitude. Second, as a results of the illustration analysis are as follows: There are conspicuous differences in that the illustration number of the 7th science textbooks Is about twice the illustration number of the 6th science textbooks and next, they place more weights on pictures and comics hard to discovery in the 6th science textbooks. Therefore, they have tried to induce the interests of students and heighten their understanding by supplementing the role of illustration presented as picture-centered and increasing its number presented as picture. In the results, although they have improved the problems of the 6th national curriculum a lot through the innovation including the interest induction of pupils through comics, the development of its content presentation method, the gradual change of subject number and the cultivation of curriculum according to the level of enrichment and supplementing types, the 7th science textbooks have fallen short of 6.3%, not around 30% in terms of the reduction in the 7th national curriculum. Accordingly, the 7th science textbooks also can be pointed out to have the problems of too much amount of studying compared to the time per week like the 6th science textbooks.

  • 본 연구의 목적은 제7차 교육과정에 의한 초등학교 과학 교과서(화학 영역)를 분석하여 6차 교육과정에 의한 교과서와 비교하는 것이다 수업 차시수, 교과서 쪽수, 학년별 학습 내용, 삭제된 내용이나 새로 도입된 내용에 대해 분석하였다. '혼합물의 분리' 단원의 일부 특징에 대해서도 분석하였다. 개정된 교육과정의 의도가 반영되었는지, 특히 학습량이 감소되었는지에 대한 교육학적' 함의를 논의하였다.

  • Problem-centered learning has many implications on teaching and learning mathematics. Students devise their solutions to solve problems and participate in the discussion with teacher and other students to share and justify their solution during the problem-centered learning. Therefore, we purposed to provide problem-centered loaming materials to be able to use in teaching and loaming the 7th mathematics curriculum in this study. First, we reviewed the 7th curriculum and its textbooks to know what and how students learn and suggested the problem-centered learning as a teaching method to perform the 7th curriculum. Next, we developed the problem-centered loaming materials for 6th grade in elementary school and taught students with these materials to amend errors. Finally, we developed evaluation criteria to evaluate students while they teamed mathematics in the problem-centered learning.

  • Now in Korea, the 7th curriculum reform is underway. The main difference of the seventh curriculum compared with former curricula is that it puts much emphasis on individual difference. It is a "differentiated" curriculum. The basic directions of the 7th mathematics curriculum are as follows: 1. Offer various mathematical subjects for "Selective Educational Period" (Grades 11 and 12). 2. 30% reduction of mathematical contents. 3. The reconciliation of domain names of school mathematics. 4. The use of computers and calculators in mathematics classrooms.

제6차와 7차 초등학교 과학 교과서에 제시된 비유 비교분석 (A Comparative Analysis of Analogies in Elementary Science Textbook by the 6th and 7th Curriculum)

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze the analogies used in elementary science textbooks. For this, the analogies were classified into the following criteria : analogy-related contents included in elementary science text-books, types of representation style, and the role of analogy. The results of this study were as follows : the total of analogies was 154 in the 6th and 166 in the 7th curriculum. Most of them were expressed in textbooks and experimental texts. More structural/functional, verbal/pictorial, concrete/concrete, concrete/abstract, simple and enriched analogies were included in the science textbooks of the 7th than those of the 6th. Most of them took the role as an aid to understanding. According to the domain of science content, energy, material, life domains were increased in the 7th than the 6th, with the exception of the earth science domain. The ratio of used analogies in the life domain was higher than the others, and in the material domain it was the lowest. From these results, it can be said that, in order to help students' understanding, further research into the application of analogies is needed.

제7차 교육과정에 나타난 과학과 수업시수 축소의 관점 (A Perspective of the Decreased Science Lessons in the Seventh Curriculum)

  • 7차 과학과 교육과정은 개발단계에서부터 줄어든 수업시수에 대한 대처방안의 마련이 매우 중요한 문제였다. 본 연구는 6차와 7차 과학과 교육과정을 분석함으로서 7차 교육과정에 나타난 수업시수 축소의 관점을 탐색하고 문제점을 밝히고자 하였다. 과학과 내용체계를 이루는 과학주제용어분석에서 첫째, 7차의 내용체계에 새로 등장한 과학주제들은 6차의 과학주제들의 세부주제를 이루었던 과학개념들로서 실질적인 변화는 거의 없었다. 둘째, 7차 교육과정에서는 과학주제들이 나타내는 과학개념을 맥락적이고 개념적으로 그 범위를 제한하는 용어수가 크게 증가하였다. 세째, 두 교육과정에서 공통으로 나오는 각 과학주제당 배당되는 수업시수, 즉 표면 시수가 과학주제 개수와 전체 교육과정 상의 시수 축소율 30%를 고려할 때 6차의 약 38.5%임이 추정되었다. 학년별 내용을 이루는 각 과학주제별 서술문장에 대한 분석에서는 개념중심으로 추출된 세부주제로부터 해진 수업시수, 즉 실질 시수는 표면 시수보다 대부분의 과학주제에서 크게 나타났다. 특히, 주제 '날씨'와 '땅'은 실질 시수가 현저하게 증가하고 있어서 개념적으로 서술된 교육과정을 현상적으로 접근하면서 수업시수를 줄이는 문제가 쉽지 않을 것을 예측케 한다.

제7차 지구과학I, II 교육과정 개선 방안 연구 (Research on Ways to Improve the 7th National Earth Science I, II Curriculum)

  • In this research we conducted a survey on the actual status of the 7th National Earth Science I & II curriculum to explore ways of revising the next Earth Science curriculum for better education. Of the 180 Earth Science teachers, 60% responded to the survey. The domains of the survey consist of (1) the necessity of Earth Science I & II curriculum revision, (2) educational goals, (3) content coverage, (4) level of difficulty and students' interest for Earth Science content, and (5) ways to overcome the crisis of Earth Science education. Majority of the respondents demanded the revision of Earth Science I, II curriculum because of overlapping and repetition of contents among 10th grade science and Earth Science I and overcrowded Earth Science II contents. Based on the survey results, recommendations on how to improve Earth Science I, II curriculum and how to adjust Earth Science contents are suggested. In addition to curriculum improvement, systematic supports are required for Earth science not to be excluded and turned down by the student and the scholastic aptitude test for university admission.

  • 본 연구는 Klopfer의 교육목표 분류를 이용하여 한국의 제7차 교육과정의 중학교 7학년 과학과의 교육목표와 제7차 교육과정에 따른 중학교 교과서에 나타난 학습 목표를 분석하여 교과서에 반영된 교육목표가 교육과정상의 요구 목표와 어느 정도 부합하는지를 알아보고 문제점을 분석하여 제시함으로써 교육과정에서 요구하는 목표와 교과서가 연계성을 가지도록 하는데 있다. 연구결과 제7차 교육과정의 과학과 교육목표는 Klopfer의 교육목표 분류5의 조작적 기능(G.0)을 제외한 전 범주에 걸쳐 그 목표를 설정하고 있으며, 정의적인 영역(범주 $H.0\~I.0$)을 더욱 강조하고 있다. 그러나 제7차 교육과정의 중학교 교과서는 NSTA의 권장 목표 비율과 비교해 볼 때 인지적 영역에 더욱 비중을 두고 출판되었으며, 교과서에 지향(범주 I.0)에 관한 목표가 전혀 언급되지 않고 있었다.

한국 환경과 교육 과정의 패러다임 변화에 대한 역사적 고찰 (A Historical Study on the Paradigm Shift of Environment Subject Curriculum in Korea)

  • The purpose of this study is to find historical paradigm shift of the environmental subject in Korean school curriculum. For the purpose, two research questions guided this study. First, we would like to find out the changes in environmental education curriculum by interpreting the Korean national curriculum. Second, we want to know about the paradigm shift of environment education in Korea. In this study, curriculum documents, teachers' guide books, textbooks, and other educational materials were used for literature review. The results are as follows: First, Robottom and Hart's frame of three paradigms in environmental education research, positivism, interpretivism and social criticism, was suitable in interpreting curriculum. Second, the curriculum of environment subject has substantially changed from 6th to 2007 revised curriculum. Third, while the 6th curriculum was strongly affected by the positivism and education 'about' the environment, the 7th curriculum had been influenced by the interpretivism and education 'in/through' the environment, and the 2007 revised curriculum is under the influence of the education 'for' the environment and social critical paradigm.
