An Air Defence M&S Architecture Design Framework for a Reusability (재사용을 위한 방공 M&S 아키텍처 설계 프레임워크)

  • In the development of the weapon systems, utilization of Modeling & Simulation is growing in every aspect of development process. For the higher utilization of M&S, reuse of the M&S resources is needed to reduce the cost of M&S. I propose the M&S architecture framework that can enhance the reusability of the M&S resources in developing surface-to-air weapon systems. This M&S architecture design framework enables interoperability between the system and sub-systems. In this paper, the advantage and the necessity of the M&S architecture design framework will be described by introducing the cases that the M&S architecture framework reused in the combat experiments, the system development tests, the system operational tests and the concept developments in real projects. These cases will show the high reusability and efficiency of the M&S architecture design framework.

  • This Paper describes our experiences with the design and implementation of a networked multimedia information management system in an object-oriented framework for distributed multimedia applications, and an integrated QoS-resource negotiation protocol which has been applied to a video server in our networked multimedia infrastructure. The salient features of our framework to support efficient multimedia streaming are explained. Next the paper explores the challenges faced in integrating the proposed QoS negotiation policy into the framework.

Suggesting an Analysis Framework for Korea STEAM Programs in the Perspective of Engineering Design (공학설계 측면에서 한국 STEAM 프로그램 분석틀 제안)

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze Korea STEAM Programs in the perspective of Engineering Design. A pilot study of analyzing 41 STEAM programs was conducted by using Guzey et al. (2014)'s STEM program analysis framework. Based on the pilot study result, we suggested specific criteria to analyze Korea STEAM program and developed an analysis framework by considering characteristics of Korea STEAM program we found. The analysis framework suggested by this study has 5 more criteria compared to the Guzey et al. (2014)'s framework. By using the suggested framework, we analyzed another 76 STEAM programs developed by the grant of Korea foundation for the Admin of Science & Creativity (KOFAC) in 2016. The analysis results show that only 28.5% of total 76 Korea STEAM programs are focused on Engineering Design and the programs categorized as 'Complete Engineering Design Lesson' were only 5.4%. More than half of the programs (62.3%) are focused on only science contents with crafting and/or concept drawing activities.

  • 멀티 에이전트 기술은 다양한 환경변화와 복잡한 문제 능에 보다 빠르고 유연하게 대처하기 위한 새로운 패러다임으로 부각되고 있다. 따라서 많은 분야에서 동적인 문제를 해결하기 위해 멀티 에이전트 시스템 구축하고자 연구가 진행중이다. 그러나, 기존의 멀티 에이전트 시스템을 개발하기 위한 Framework에 관한 연구들은 사용자를 대신하여 자율적으로 작업을 수행하는 일반적인 에이전트간의 정보 교환과 공유, 에이전트의 재활용, 이형질의 에이전트를 통합하기 위해 서로 각기 다른 에이전트간 사업 협력 구조를 제시하는 연구, 즉 멀티 에이전트가 가지는 기본적인 기능만을 제시한 Framework가 대부분이었다. 이러한 기존 멀티 에이전트 Framework의 한계점을 해결하고자 최형림 외 5명은 기본적인 멀티 에이전트 Framework의 기능뿐만 아니라 협상이라는 문제를 해결하기 위해 필요한 기능을 가지고 있는 MAFNS(Multi-Agent Framework for Negotiation Systems)를 설계하였다. 본 연구에서는 MAFNS의 구조를 이용하여 협상 메시지에 대한 평가, 협상 메시지의 관리, 협상 에이전트간의 빠르고 안정된 메시지 교환 지원 등과 같은 협상에 필요한 필수적인 요구 기능을 에이전트로 개발하고 각 에이전트 간의 유기적인 협력을 통해 자동으로 서버 판매 협상 문제를 해결할 수 있는 에이전트 시스템을 개발하였다.

Model-based Autonomic Computing Framework for Cyber-Physical Systems (CPS를 위한 모델 기반 자율 컴퓨팅 프레임워크)

  • In this paper, we present the model-based autonomic computing framework for a cyber-physical system which provides a self-management and a self-adaptation characteristics. A development process using this framework consists of two phases: a design phase in which a developer models faults, normal status constrains, and goals of the CPS, and an operational phase in which an autonomic computing engine operates monitor-analysis-plan-execute(MAPE) cycle for managed resources of the CPS. We design a hierachical architecture for autonomic computing engines and adopt the Model Reference Adaptive Control(MRAC) as a basic feedback loop model to separate goals and resource management. According to the GroundVehicle example, we demonstrate the effectiveness of the framework.

  • The present work extends the recent variational formulation to more general time-dependent problems. Thus, based upon recent works of variational formulation in dynamics and pure heat diffusion in the context of the extended framework of Hamilton's principle, formulation for fully coupled thermoelasticity is developed first, then, with thermoelasticity-poroelasticity analogy, poroelasticity formulation is provided. For each case, energy conservation and energy dissipation properties are discussed in Fourier transform domain.

  • This study proposes and demonstrates the value of user - centered design methodology based on linguistic analysis. The results of the proposed user behavioural analysis framework suggested that the syntactic structure between the sentence structure and its components could be a logical basis for explaining the user's situation and behavior. Based on this, the definitions and classifications of user interactions and user contexts were conducted in a microscopically context. User behavior has also been established to identify pattern structures of purposeful nature and constitutes a user behavior sequence that prioritizes them. Next, the User Experience Analysis Framework was derived by defining the relationship between User Behavior and User Behavior and User Context and User Context. To verify the framework of the framework, a professional assessment was conducted to conduct a review of the user's experience and conduct a study of the framework of the framework and conduct of the framework of the framework of the framework and practical utility of the framework. Through this, it was possible to identify the value of the qualitative and quantitative framework of the framework and the future direction of development.

  • This paper presents a framework for production planning for a Slim MES(Manufacturing Execution System) of module operations in TFT-LCD(Thin Film Transistor-Liquid Crystal Display) production lines. There are differences in the line configurations and functions among the module operations in the TFT-LCD production systems. This paper presents the framework for the customized MES reflecting these differences. First, a production process is figured out through the analysis of the TFT-LCD module operations. Next, a mathematical modeling is presented reflecting the constraints of shop floors and an optimal schedule is presented through a case example. And a scheduling process using the dispatching rules reflecting the status of shop floors is presented and the performances are measured and compared. Finally, a design process for the Slim MES framework is presented.

  • The performance measurement system of a company is an important tool to evaluate business result, to manage human resource and to achieve strategic management goals. Until 1990's, the performance in most of companies had been measured by financial perspectives. Recently non-financial perspectives with various and balanced view points are used. In the construction industry, the same situation is happened. However, effective tools are not developed yet. Therefore, this research proposes a framework of the comparable performance measurement in the construction industry. This framework is based on concept of the balanced scorecard(BSC) and prepared respectively for owner, contractor and architect/engineer Using this framework, it is possible to compare performance of a company with each other and to benchmark the best performance.

  • Recently, many researchers have tried to establish EC framework EC framework for automated contract and brokerage using agent technologies in electronic commerce. Traditional researches, however, often enforced the user's participations during the automated brokerage process of agents an did not supported the procedures and methodologies for satisfying various user's requirements. In this paper, we propose a brokerge framework based on multi-agent to overcome the defects of the previous researches. For the optimal brokerage, the proposed framework is divided into tow layers, which are called competition layer and constraint satisfaction layer. The Agents process behaviors of brokerage through two layers accroding to th proposed message driven communication protocol. W also apply CSP (Constraint Satisfaction Problems) techniques to brokerage process to satisfy various preferential requirements from the user. That is, e model the relationship between buyer agents and seller agents using CSP and propose efficient CSP models for the optimal brokerage as the types of brokerage. Finally, e implemented prototype systems applying the proposed framework and showed the efficiency of he proposed framwork with the experimental results.
