Using bigdata analysis procedures, the present study sought to review and explore the various aspects of self-disclosure and boundary impermeability of worldwide twitter users. A total of 415 million tweets issued by 54 million users were collected during 6 months and the users of top 10 languages were investigated. And the effect of languages of twitter users on the boundary impermeability, disclosure rate of user profile, profile image, geographical information, URL in profile and user description were analyzed in this study. The results showed that the boundary impermeability and all the self-disclosure rates of twitter users (profile, profile image, geographical information, URL in profile, user description) were significantly (p<0.001) different among language groups of users. The self-disclosure rates and the average points of Portuguese, Indonesian and Spanish users were higher than those of Arabic, Japanese, Turkish and Korean users. The results also showed a positive relationship between boundary impermeability and the number of tweets (including retweets) issued by each users.
The numerical simulations on the train entering a tunnel were performed by solving unsteady axi-symmetric problems. In the case that 5th order velocity profile is used to reduce the effects of the pressure wave generated by the train starting abruptly, the effect of the initial distance between the train and the tunnel were examined. The impulsive start gives undesired pressure disturbances to the flow field including inside the tunnel. But 5th order velocity profile with initial distance more than 80 m gives much stable pressure variance in time, and pressure distribution inside the tunnel in space. The distance to the train reaches the highest running velocity from the start should be more than 80 m when the train speed is 350 km/h.
Current exertion reports the numerical analysis of boundary layer slip flow of Casson Nano fluid along a permeable cylinder that is stretching in exponential manner. The modeled PDEs are changed into nonlinear ODEs through appropriate nonlinear transformations. Numerical results are attained using a renowned numerical scheme shooting method with Runge-Kutta procedure of 6th-order. Influential role of relevant parameters like Reynolds, suction, Casson fluid and slip parameters on velocity profile is investigated. The effect of influence of slip parameter γ on temperature profile is seen through graph. To ensure the authenticity of numerical procedure, outcomes of some special cases of present work are compared with published work and strong agreement is noticed.
The research was conducted to simulate and interpret the change of $PM_{10}$ profile by Asian dust using the CALPUFF modeling system for the period April 6 through 18, 2001. The results, which are represented a daily variation of $PM_{10}$ concentration before and after Asian dust, was located between a minimum concentration of $50{\mu}g/m^3$ and a maximum concentration of $100{\mu}g/m^3$, Most concentration peaks in the $PM_{10}$ profile were shown within a level below 500 m and had a pattern that rapidly increased up the peak and decreased after the peak to 1000 m. Even though the shapes of the vertical profile during Asian dust days were similar to non-Asian dust days, no rapid change vertically was observed. In particular, the vertical profile on 1200 LST and 1800 LST was noticeably shifted to the higher concentrations, which means $PM_{10}$ in the atmosphere was changed into a vertically and horizontally heterogeneous form under the Asian dust event. Finally, it is con-firmed that the simulation result from CALPUFF might schematically sketched atmospheric $PM_{10}$ profiles and their change by Asian dust throughout the comparison with profiles of aerosol extinction coefficients, which were acquired from Lidar measurement at KGAWO.
This study was designed to examine the effects of Allium hookeri (AH) on plasma blood glucose and fat profile levels in diabetic rats. Diabetes mellitus was induced in male Sprague-Dawley rats through injection of streptozotocin (STZ) dissolved in citrate buffer into tail veins at a dose of 45 mg/kg of body weight. Sprague-Dawley rats were then fed for 4weeks, with the experimental groups receiving a modified diet containing 5% or 10% powder derived from AH roots. The experimental groups were divided into four groups, consisting of a control group, STZ-control group, and diabetic fed with AH 5% & 10% treated groups. Rats' body weights, blood glucose, total cholesterol, HDL-cholesterol, triglyceride (TG), and free fatty acid (FFA) values in plasma were measured along with hematocrit (Hct) values and aminotransferase activities. Body weight losses were observed in the STZ-control group, whereas the STZ-AH group of diabetic rats gained weight. There was a significantly decrease in brain weight of the STZ-AH group but no significant differences in kidney and liver weights of the STZ-AH 5% & STZ-AH 10% groups compared to the STZ-control group. Blood glucose was significantly reduced in the STZ-AH 5% & STZ-AH 10% diabetic groups. There were no significant differences in total cholesterol and TG levels among the diabetic groups. HDL-cholesterol significantly increased while FFA significantly decreased in the STZ-AH 5% & STZ-AH 10% diabetic groups. The Hct level of the STZ-AH group was lower than that of the STZ-control group. Aspartate aminotransferase activity was significantly reduced in the STZ-AH 5% & STZ-AH 10% diabetic groups. These results indicate that supplementation with Allium hookeri root may have beneficial effects on diabetic complications as a potential therapeutic candidate.
Sodium butyrate is a short-chain fatty acid derivative found in foods, such as Parmesan cheese and butter and is produced by anaerobic bacteria fermentation of dietary fibers in the large intestine. There have been reports that butyrate prevented obesity, protected insulin sensitivity, and ameliorated dyslipidemia in dietary obese mice. This study investigated the effects of sodium butyrate on fasting blood glucose level and serum lipid profile in streptozotocin(STZ)-induced diabetic mice. Male C57BL/6 mice were fed AIN-93G for four weeks prior to intraperitoneal injections with STZ (100 mg/kg body weight). Diabetic mice had supplements of 5% sodium butyrate for four weeks. The 5% sodium butyrate diet significantly improved fasting blood glucose level and lipid profile in STZ-induced diabetic mice. Inflammation has been recognized to decrease beta cell insulin secretion and increase insulin resistance. Circulating cytokines can directly affect beta cell function, leading to secretory dysfunction and increased apoptosis. Thus, anti-inflammatory therapies represented a potential approach for the therapy of diabetes and its complications. In this animal study, the 5% sodium butyrate supplementation also inhibited inflammatory cytokine production in STZ-induced diabetic mice. These results suggested that sodium butyrate can be a potential candidate for the prevention of diabetes and its complications.

Experiments have been conducted to investigate mean thermal structure in unstable turbulent thermal convection between two horizontal flat plates. The upper plate was kept at a constant cold temperature and the bottom plate at a constant hot temperature. Both air and water were used as its working fluids. Chamber aspect ratios were 3.80 and 6.17, the mean temperature differences between two plates were 2.6-9.3.deg. C, whose Rayleigh numbers in a range 6.13*10$^{5}$ -1, 07*10$^{8}$ . The heat transfer correlations obtained through the experiments are Nu=0.139R $a^{0.285}$ for air and Nu=0.087 R $a^{0.319}$ for water. Profiles of the mean temperature gradient clearly show the -2 and 1 4/3 power law regions.
Background: Polycythaemia rubra vera (PV) is a Philadelphia chromosome negative myeloproliferative neoplasm characterized by increased red cell production, independent of the mechanisms that regulate normal erythropoiesis. The aim of this study was to analyze the clinico-epidemiological profile of Pakistani patients with PV. Materials and Methods: In this retrospective cross sectional study, 26 patients with PV were enrolled from January 2010 to December 2014. They were diagnosed based on WHO criteria. Results: The mean age was $53.4{\pm}9.31years$ (range 36-72) and the male to female ratio was 2:1. Overall 30.7% of patients were asymptomatic. In symptomatic patients, major complaints were headache (30.8%), abdominal discomfort (23.1%), blurred vision (15.3%), pruritus (11.5%) and vascular incidents (11.5%). Physical examination revealed plethoric face and splenomegaly as predominant findings, detected in 34.6% and 30.7%, respectively, with the mean splenic span of $15.9{\pm}2.04cm$. The mean hemoglobin was $18.1{\pm}1.9g/dl$ with the mean hematocrit of $55.6{\pm}8.3%$. The mean total leukocyte count was $12.8{\pm}7.1{\times}10^9/l$ and the platelet count $511{\pm}341.9{\times}10^9/l$. Mean erythrocyte sedimentation rate was $3.5{\pm}1.22mm/hr$. Serum lactate dehydrogenase, serum creatinine and uric acid were $552.7{\pm}309.2$, $0.8{\pm}0.17$ and $6.60{\pm}1.89$ respectively. Conclusions: PV in Pakistani patients, unlike in the West, is seen in a moderately young population. The disease is frequently seen in male gender and primarily patients present with symptoms related to hyperviscosity.
Seeds of broomrape (Orobanche cernua) were exposed to 0, 25, 50, 75, and 100 mM NaCl solutions during their preconditioning period (14 days of moisture) under laboratory conditions and induced to germinate by synthetic germination stimulant (GR24). There was significant reduction in seed germination with increased salt concentration as shown in 35.2, 32.5, 23.6, 14.3, and 9.2% germination, respectively. Exposure of Orobanche cernua seeds to 0.0, 1.0, 1.25, and 1.5 M levels of NaCl for 9 hours resulted in 29.4, 21.3, 20.5, and 17.4% germination, respectively. Water preconditioned seeds showed Heavier protein profile bands of 6.5-14.2 KDa than those of dry seeds. Seeds treated with 0.75 M NaCl showed profile similar with that of water preconditioned ones, plus an extra band at 29-36 KDa. The protein profiles of 1.0 and 1.5 M NaCl treated seeds showed weaker bands with the absence of 29-36 KDa band.
We have developed a daytime measuring rotational Raman LIDAR system for temperature measurement. To decrease the background signal from sunlight, we have designed and installed narrow band (0.5 nm) and high rejection ($10^{-6}$) rate band pass filter system using a grating and an interference filter. We calibrated our system by comparing our horizontal temperature profile and KMA (Korea Meteorological Administration) data. We have found that our temperature profile has a good correlation with KMA data within our theoretically expected variance. And we have used these calibration values in obtaining a vertical temperature distribution. To check our system, we also have compared our vertical temperature data with US standard atmospheric temperature profile. We also have compared our temperature profile with sonde data.
