겨울철에 발생한 이상 남파 관측 (Observation of Abnormal Waves from South in Winter)

  • 1997년 11월 25일 겨울철에 남해안에서 이례적으로 남쪽으로부터 전파되는 높은 파고가 관측되었다. 4m 정도의 이러한 이상 파고는 시간차를 두고 마라도, 부산 그리고 울릉도 순서로 각각에 설치한 파고계에 관측되었으며 특히 서귀포항 공사 중에 발생하여 큰 피해를 입혔다. 겨울철에 발생하는 이상 남파는 저기압의 이상 발달 및 이동으로 인한 것으로 추측되며 이를 살펴보기 위하여 일기도 및 수치모델에 의한 파랑장의 분포 등을 조사하여 그 발생 가능성에 대하여 연구하였다. 앞으로도 겨울철에 발생할 수 있는 이러한 이상 남파에 대한 주의를 요한다.

  • 본 논문은 인공 지능 기술의 효과는 산업에 미치는 영향과 일상생활의 변화 등에 관한 연구이다. 또한 감성 인공 지능 개발은 차세대 3D 벡터 감응 인공 지능을 대비한다. 이것은 인공 지능의 의사 결정 권력의 주요 키워드를 제시한다. 특히 비 윤리적 학습의 중요성과 윤리적 가치 판단을 반영하는 의사 결정 시스템의 구현으로 인해 중요한 결과가 달성된다. 이것은 데이터 기반 시뮬레이션이며 (1) 사용 가능한 데이터, (2) 시뮬레이션 목표를 위한 기술을 필요로 한다. 실제 의도된 시뮬레이션 기반 연구의 일반적인 내용을 고려한다. 현재 기존 연구는 의미있는 연구 동기에 중점을 두고있느나, 본 연구는 기술의 방향성을 제시하는 결과이다. 그 결과 실증분석은 각국이 인공 지능에 대한 신기술 기업의 윤리 책임감에 대한 의사 결정력과 일치한다. 결론적으로, AI / ML의 기술적 측면에 대한 윤리적 주제에 대해 달성 할 수 있는 구체적인 기여와 해석이 필요하다. 이는 인공지능 의사 결정에서 인간의 공감의 분석력이 더욱 부각될 수 있다.

외국인 유학생의 학업적응에 대한 융합연구 (Convergence Research on Academic Adjustment of Foreign Students)

  • 본 연구는 한국에 거주하는 외국인 유학생들의 건강행태와 한류문화에 대한 의식이 학업적응에 영향을 미치는 변인들을 파악하고 향후 외국인 유학생들이 한국문화에 잘 적응하고 건강하게 학업적응을 하기 위해 시도된 융합연구이다. 연구대상자는 G대학의 외국인 유학생을 대상으로 2018년 4월2일부터 4월30일까지 조사하였다. 수집된 자료를 SPSS 통계프로그램을 사용해 분석하였다. 외국인 유학생의 건강 행태와 한류문화 의식이 학업적응에 미치는 영향을 분석하기 위해 다중회귀분석을 실시한 결과, 연령이 높을수록, 체류기간이 길수록 학업적응력이 감소하는 반면, 운동 횟수가 많을수록, 한류문화 의식이 높을수록 학업적응력이 증가하는 것으로 나타났다. 향후 유학생들을 위한 지속적인 건강교육 및 운동 프로그램과 한류문화 프로그램을 제공으로 유학생들의 학업적응력을 키우기 위한 계획과 방안이 마련되어야 할 것이다.

Age at Menarche and Brachial-ankle Pulse Wave Velocity in Women with Metabolic Syndrome

  • Early age at menarche, which is indicator of early biological maturity, has been shown to be associated with increased adult body mass index. Early menarche has also been associated with many cardiovascular disease risk factors and metabolic syndrome. To evaluate the impact of menarche to cardiovascular risk factor, we assessed by age at menarche, brachial-ankle pulse wave velocity (baPWV), which represents arterial stiffness, in women with or without metabolic syndrome. The subjects recruited for this study were three hundred one women. Relatively early menarche and relatively late menarche were classified according to less than $50^{th}$ percentile for relatively early menarche, and great than the $50^{th}$ percentile for relatively late menarche. Subject were divided four group, 1) women who had not adulthood metabolic syndrome and relatively early menarche, 2) women who had not adulthood metabolic syndrome and relatively late menarche, 3) women who had adulthood metabolic syndrome and relatively early menarche, 4) women who had adulthood metabolic syndrome and relatively late menarche. Women who had a relatively early menarche with adulthood metabolic syndrome had significantly high levels of blood pressure, triglyceride, fasting insulin and homeostatic model assessment of insulin resistance (HOMA-IR) levels than women with late menarche with adulthood metabolic syndrome, and had significantly lower HDL-cholesterol levels. And also, women who underwent a relatively early menarche with metabolic syndrome had highest level of baPWV in adult. In this study we found effect of age at menarche on adulthood metabolic risk factors for cardiovascular disease (e.g., baPWV, insulin resistance, hyperlipidemia) in Korean women.

파도중 선박의 전복 현상 해석 (Analysis of Capsizing Phenomena of a Shop in Waves)

  • In this paper, a program for the calculation of GZ curve for a ship in waves is developed and GZ curves for a ferry in the still water and in waves are calculated. And the added mass, damping, restoring forces and wave exciting forces are calculated by using the strip theory given by Salvesen, Tuck, Faltinsen. Capsizing simulations are perfoned in consideration if the nonlinear restoring forces of the ship in waves by using the Runge-Kutta 4-th method.

  • This paper deals with the scheduling problems, which are the most important subtask in High-level Synthesis. ILP(integer linear programming) formulations are used as a scheduling problem approach.For practical application to digital system design, we have concentrated our attentions on pipelined datapath scheduling. For experiment results, we choose the 5-th order digital wave filter as a benchmark and do the schedule. Finally, we can obtain better and near-optimal scheduling results.

  • Optimized high-order compact(OHOC) schemes were proposed, which have high spatial order of truncation and resolution to simulate the aeroacoustic problems due to unsteady compressible flows. Generally, numerical schemes are categorized explicit or implicit by time-marching method. In this research, OHOC differences which were developed with explicit time-marching method is used to have implicit formulation and the implicit OHOC differences result in block hepta-diagonal matrix. This paper presents the comparisons between the explicit and implicit OHOC schemes with a second order accuracy of time in the 1-d linear wave convection problem, and between the explicit OHOC scheme of 4th-order accuracy in time and the implicit OHOC scheme of 1st-order accuracy in tine for the 1-d nonlinear wave convection problem. With these comparisons, the characteristics of implicit OHOC scheme are shown in the point of CFL number.

  • In analysis of piping vibration of petrochemical plant, the forcing functions mainly depend upon the equipment working mechanism and vibration resources in the piping systems. In general, harmonic function is used for the system with rotary equipments. Mechanical driving frequencies, wave functions, and response spectrum are used for reciprocating compressors, surge vibration of long transfer piping, and seismic/wind vibration, respectively. In this study, for the spray injection case inside the pipe, forcing function was modeled, in which two different fluids are distributed uniformly. To confirm the results, the scheme used for the forcing function was applied for real piping system. The vibration mode of the real system was consistent with the 4th mode obtained by simulation using the forcing function formulated in this study.

  • In the conventional linear elasticity, ultrasonic velocity is determined by elastic modulus and density of te medium which ultrasonic wave propagates through. But, practical ultrsonic wave depends on the stress acting in the medium, and as the stress increases such dependency becomes nonlinear. This nonlinear dependencyof ultrasonic velocity on stress can be identified by using nonlinear elastic modulus up to 4th order. In thid paper, with the above background relationships between nonlinear elastic modulus and the internalstatus of materials, normal, plastic deformed or heat stressed, are discussed. For this purpose, a new type of measuring system extended from the general nondestructive UT(ultrasonic test) equipment is constructed.

2020 강원영동 공동 입체기상관측 기간 강풍 사례에 대한 관측자료와 수치모델 비교 분석 (Comparative Analysis of Observation and NWP Data of Downslope Windstorm Cases during 3-Dimensional Meteorological Observation Project in Yeongdong Region of Gangwon province, South Korea in 2020)

  • In order to investigate downslope windstorm by using more detailed observation, we observed 6 cases at 3 sites - Inje, Yongpyeong, and Bukgangneung - during "3-D Meteorological Observation Project in Yeongdong region of Gangwon province, South Korea in 2020." The results from analysis of the project data were as follows. First, AWS data showed that a subsidence inversion layer appeared in 800~700 hPa on the windward side and 900~850 hPa on the leeward side. Second, before strong wind occurred, the inversion layer had descended to about 880~800 hPa. Third, with mountain wave breaking, downslope wind was intensified at the height of 2~3 km above sea level. After the downslope wind began to descend, the subsidence inversion layer developed. When the subsidence inversion layer got close to the ground, wind peak occurred. In general, UM (Unified Model) GDAPS (Global Data Assimilation Prediction System) have had negative bias in wind speed around peak area of Taebaek mountain range, and positive bias in that of East Sea coast area. The stronger wind blew, the larger the gap between observed and predicted wind speed by GDAPS became. GDAPS predicted strong p-velocity at 0600 LST 25 Apr 2020 (4th case) and weak p-velocity at 2100 LST 01 Jun 2020 (6th case) on the lee-side of Taebaek mountain range near Yangyang. As hydraulic jump theory was proved, which is known as a mechanism of downslope windstorm in Yeongdong region, it was confirmed that there is a relationship between p-velocity of lee-side and wind speed of eastern slope of Taebaek mountain range.
