This study was conducted to investigate and to improve the actual condition of food service for patients in hospitals. For this purpose, questionnaires were distributed to 283 patients admitted to a university hospital and three general hospitals between January 27 and February 15, 1997. The department participated in the study included internal medicine, surgery, obstetrics, orthopedics and so forth. For meal time, 61.1$\%$ of patients wanted to eat breakfast at 8 am, 55.8$\%$ lunch at noon, and 73.5$\%$ dinner at 6 pm. The patients complained about unsatisfactory hospital food itself by 37.8$\%$, about insufficient food amount by 19.6$\%$, about menu with no choice by 41.2$\%$ and about low variety of the meals by 32.7$\%$. Sixty two point nine percent of the subjects enjoyed snacks between meals because of poor appetite at meal time(46.1$\%$), delayed food service(39.9$\%$) and others(11.2$\%$). The types of diet were mainly regular ones(58.6$\%$) with some high protein(12.4%) and diabetic sensitive ones(7.1$\%$). As eating place, the patient's prefered bed(51.9$\%$), room-table(27.2$\%$) and dining room(17.7$\%$). Fifty-five percent of them also wanted hospital foods available to their caring relatives. Purpose: Those who access to the nuclear medicine department are classified as radiation workers, temporarily access group, and occasional access group as defined by the atomic energy law. The radiation workers and temporarily access people wear a personal radiation dosimeter for checking their own radiation absorbed dose periodically. However, because of the sanitation workers, classified as temporarily access group, who are working in the nuclear medicine department are moved in a cycle with other departments and their works are changeful, it is hard to control their radiation absorbed dose. Thus, this study is going to examine the state of the sanitation worker's radiation absorbed dose, and then make sure whether they are classified as temporarily access group or not. Materials and methods: In the first instance, the first sanitation worker who works in vitro laboratory and PET room and the second sanitation worker who works in gamma camera rooms (invivo room) wore radiation dosimeter-OSL(Optically Stimulated Luminescence)- to measure their own radiation absorbed dose during work time from May to June 2011. Secondly, this study was taken place 5 places in gamma camera rooms, 2 places in PET bed room, operating room, waiting room and cyclotron room in PET and 4 places in vitro laboratory. And then to measure the radiation space dose rate, it is measured 10 times each of places as sanitation worker's work flow by using radiation survey meter. Results: The radiation absorbed dose on OSL of the first c who works in vitro laboratory and PET room and the second one who works in gamma camera rooms are 0.04, 0.02 mSv per month respectively. That means the estimated annual radiation absorbed doses are less than 1mSv as 0.48, 0.24 mSv/yr respectively. The radiation space dose rates as sanitation worker's work flow using survey meter are 0.0037, 0.0019 mSv/day, so the estimated annual radiation absorbed dose are 0.93, 0.47 mSv/yr respectively. The weighted exposure dose of first sanitation worker of each places are 1.62% in cyclotron room, 3.88% in waiting room, 2.39% in operating room, 81.01% in bed room of PET and 11.01% in vitro laboratory. The weighted exposure dose of second sanitation worker of each places are 45.22% in radiopharmaceutical laboratory, gamma 30.64% in camera rooms, 15.65% in waiting room, 8.49% in reading room. Conclusion: The annual radiation absorbed doses on OSL of both sanitation workers are less than 1 mSv per year and the annual radiation absorbed doses by using survey meter are less than 1mSv either, but close up to 1 mSv. Thus, to clarify whether the sanitation workers are temporarily access group or not, and to be lessen their s radiation absorbed dose, they should be educated about management of radiation and modified their work flow or work time appropriately, their radiation absorbed dose would be lessen certainly.
An eipdural hematoma in an infant is a very rare entity. We report a case of an acute traumatic intracranial epidural hematoma that developed with a lucid interval in a 4-month-old infant after a fall down from a bed. The infant was admitted at the emergency room. The child had initially cried and may have had a decreased level of consciouseness due to brain injury, but then returned to normal level of consciousness for several hours prior to admission. However, the infant had vomited twice after taking milk and then was lethargic. The brain CT revealed a lentiform-shaped huge hematoma on the right parietal area with a midline shift of 8 mm. An osteoplastic craniotomy was performed, and the intracranial epidural hematoma was totally removed. Postoperatively, the infant recovered well and was dischaged.

The purpose of this study were to investigate the bed climate and the physiological responses in sleep on the traditional Korean floor heating system called Ondol. Ondol has been the most widely used heating system in Korea, yet there has been a no systematic studies examined its environmental effects on human body. Experimental room was constructed to match the typical thermal environment of Ondol. (floor surface temperature; $32\~33^{\circ}C$, air temperature; $22.5{\pm}1.0^{\circ}C$, relative humidity; $64.0{\pm}4.0\%$RH, air velocity; 0.25 m/sec.) Three different combinations of bedclothes were chosen for the experiment based on the study results showing that they were the most widely used types in Korea. Type 1 was the combination of a cotton-padded mattress with a cotton-padded Korean style blanket. Type 2 was a cotton-padded mattress with a cotton-guilted Korean style blanket. Type 3 was a cotton-padded matless with a polyacryl blanket. Thermal resistance of each of these combina-tions in the bedclothes was measured using thermal manikin. Two adult female was chosen for the seven hour sleeping experiment which was known to be the average sleeping hours of Korean adult female. The bed climate was measured with the temperature under the mattress, the surface temper-ature of the mattress, and the air temperature and the relative humidity of the space between the mattress and blanket. The skin temperature, rectal temperature of the subjects and the bed climate were measured eight times, one hour before the experiment and every hour during the experiment. The weight loss and the subjective sensation were measured for the each subjects before and after the experiment. The procedure was repeated twice with two subjects and three types of bedclothes, yielding twelve combinations of results. The results were as follows; 1. With the surface temperature of $32\~33^{\circ}C$ of Ondol, air temperature was $22.5{\pm}1.0^{\circ}C$ with $64.0{\pm}4.0\%$ RH. The bed climates were $39.2{\pm}40.8^{\circ}C$ under the mattress, $35.3\~36.2^{\circ}C$ on the mattress, and $26.9\~32.0^{\circ}C$ with $56.0\~71.3\%$ RH between the mattress and the blanket. 2. Mean skim temperature during sleep was 34.2"C with local skin temperature of $34.0\~35.5^{\circ}C$. The skin temperatures of abdomen, thigh, foot were higher than the other parts of the body. 3. The skin temperature of chest, thigh, leg and back varied significantly according to the combinations of bedclothes. With the cotton-padded blanket, the skin temperature was the highest, while with the cotton-guilted blanket showed lowest. 4. Examining the relationship between the mean skin temperature and the local skin temper-ature, the chest temperature showed the highest correlation with the former. Therefore, the chest temperature can be recommended to represent the skin temperature in measuring the bed climate. 5. The subjective bed climates were $39.0\~40.4^{\circ}C$ under the mattress, $35.2\~35.9^{\circ}C$ on the mattress, $29.8\~31.6^{\circ}C$ with $56.8\~68.4\%$ RH between the mattress and blanket. In sum, from this experiment we not only obtained the reliable value of bed climates on Ondol, but also showed that the bed climates and the physiological responses were affected differently according to the materials of bed clothes.
With rapid growths of economy and technology, structures and forms of buildings have been diversified and complicated. Buildings also have become higher and larger than ever before. As a result, more people use a building and more combustibles exist in the building. Without understanding of combustion characteristics and the establishment of a fire safety plan in case of a residential fire, it is expected great loss of lives and properties. In this study, experiments were carried out to promote an understanding of the combustion characteristics of combustibles in the building. Sofa and bed were used as combustibles in the experiment. Heat release rate of the sofa was about 1.9MW. Heat release rate of the bed was approximately 650kW.

The performance of fluidized-bed reactor with Photomedia, immobilized TiO$_2$ onto the porous ceramic ball using a sol-gel method has been studied in this work. A simple model substrate, dilute Rhodamine B (RhB), was decolorized at room temperature. For the purpose of comparison, the slurry reactor and the Inner Wall Coated Reactor (IWCR) were used. The aim of this work was to develop the photocatalytic fluidized bed reactor (PFBR) through contrasting the photodegradability of various reactors such as the TiO$_2$slurry reactor, the inner-wall coated reactor (IWCR). In this study, the RhB was decolorized in three types of reactor. Even though the reaction rate constant of PFBR was lower than that of slurry reactor, PFBR had the advantages of preventing the wash-out of photocatalyst, so it can be operated continuously.
The purpose of this study is to analysis the change of rural house type and house plans in Bonghwa province. According to definition of rural area, the scopes of the research of rural houses limited the Bonghwa rural area(1 eup, 9 myeon). The method of study is to compare and analyze about housing situation, structure of house, housing type and construction of house space etc. through the statistical data of Bongwha statistical yearbook, space syntax(convex analysis) and other various data etc. during these 10 years. As a results of the analysis 1) According to Change of family member the supply ratio of detached house is steadily decreasing and changing from a detached house to multi-household house in Bongwha areas. 2) Most of houses structure were using lightweight steel construction because of cost-cutting of construction and easy way to construct etc.. 3) The highest Integration space is living space in rural house plans 4) The highest segregation space is bathroom space of master bed room in rural house plans. Some of bed rooms are classed as segregation space regardless of Integration space 5) Traditional front yard's function is changing from the place with the various functions to the place with the specific functions.

The study verified the work capacity (job performance, perception, knowledge) and satisfaction on managing the inventory of operating room nurses working in a more than 700-bed hospital. The purpose of this study was to provide basic data of education for work capacity and satisfaction and quality insurance by analyzing the scores between the three different operating rooms and the correlation between the work capacity and satisfaction by investigating the related factors. This study presented a structured and self-administered questionnaire to 181 nurses who had been working in the operating room more than six months. The mean and standard deviation of the job performance, perception, knowledge, and satisfaction were 4.2(${\pm}0.56$), 3.4(${\pm}0.76$), 3.5(${\pm}0.40$), and 3.4(${\pm}0.55$), respectively. The work capacity and satisfaction of each group did not show a statistically significant difference. The correlations between the job performance and knowledge, knowledge and perception, perception and satisfaction were positive (r=.627, p<0.01), (r=.663, p<0.01) and (r=.485, p<0.01), respectively. Among the factors related to the general characteristics of operating room nurses, only age significantly affected their job performance. This study provides basic data on the maintenance and improvement of their competence and satisfaction by being served as a resource for sustainable human resources management and training, and efficient management of the communication channel between hospitals.
This study was performed to investigate the current status of isolation precautions of multidrug resistant organisms(MDROs) in general hospitals with more than 200bed. The questionnaires were mailed from 3rd, April 2013 to 30th, April 2013. Methicillin resistant Staphylococcus aureus:(MRSA), vancomycin resistant Staphylococcus aureus:(VRSA), vancomycin resistant Enterococcus(VRE), multidrug-resistant Acinetobacter baumannii, carbapenem-resistant Enterobacteriaceae multidrug-resistant Pseudomonas aeruginosa were enrolled. MRSA(100.0%) and VRE(98.7%) were isolated respectively. VRE(97.3%) and MRSA(64.0%) were regulated strictly respectively. VRE(91.5%) and VRSA(50.7%) were isolated in a single room respectively. Hospital being located in Seoul(p<0.001), and beds(${\geq}600$)(p=0.008) were different significantly. The isolation space limitation(71.1%) was the highest difficulty. The development of refunding the costs of the extra supplies and other hygienic materials for infection control was discovered as the most urgent strategy.
In this paper, it represents the design requirements to make apartment houses comfortable in acoustic environments and to keep a privacy between dwellers. The sound insulation performance between rooms were tested in the fields and the conditions to satisfy the design requirements were investigated. For that purpose, the sound insulation performance between living room and bed room were investigated and noise transmittance according to the difference of arrangement in rooms were tested. Several flush doors and light-weighted walls which have difference with each material and structure were tested to suggest the methods that improve the acoustic environments.
