This paper is concerned with the development of Internet-based robot system controlled on the remote site via the Internet. In order to draw the public attention into this exciting system, we built the simple system by which a robot is moved in response to answer for the given OX quizzes. As the primary research fer Internet-based robot control, this study focuses on the development of user-friendly interface by which a beginner achieves information for a robot on the remote site from the 3D virtual simulator and the real camera image. for the compensation of Internet time delay, position prediction simulator is implemented in the user interface.

In this paperwe develop a real-time simulator for direct drive cooperative robot by using OpenGL in a Windows NT based system. This simulator is composed of 2 parts, a display part and an interface part. In the display part the robot is modelled and rendered in 3D space. To do this OpenGL, a kind of graphic library, is used for rendering and animating robots and kinematics gives the information of the current robot configuration. The control and the feedback data are sent and received via the interface part. In real time simulation interfacing part needs fast data transfer rate and good nosic immunity. In experiment we have simulated 2-link direct drive cooperative robots using the trajectory tracking algorithm proposed in reference.

Driving simulators provide engineers with a power tool in the development and modification stages of vehicle models. One of the most important factors to realistic simulations is the fidelity obtained by a motion bed and a real-time visual image generation algorithm. Virtual reality technology has been widely used to enhance the fidelity of vehicle simulators. This paper develops the virtual environment for such visual system as head-mounted display for a vehicle driving simulator. Virtual vehicle and environment models are constructed using the object-oriented analysis and design approach. Based on the object model, a three-dimensional graphic model is completed with CAD tools such as Rhino and Pro/ENGINEER. For real-time image generation, the optimized IRIS Performer 3D graphics library is embedded with the multi-thread methodology. The developed software for a virtual driving simulator offers an effective interface to virtual reality devices.

The remote handling and maintenance devices in the nuclear hot ceil should be checked prior to the hot operation in view of reliability and operability. In this study, the digital mock-up is implemented to analyze and define the process equipment maintenance processes instead of real mock-up, which is very expensive and time consuming. To do this, the parts of equipment and maintenance devices are modeled in 3-D graphics, assembled, and kinematics is assigned. Also, the virtual workcell of the spent fuel management process is implemented in the graphical environment which is the same as the real environment. This simulator has the several functions for verification such as analyses for the manipulator's working area, the collision detection, the path planning and graphic simulation of the processes etc. This graphic simulator of the maintenance devices can be effectively used in designing of the maintenance processes for the hot cell equipment and enhance the reliability of the spent fuel management.
As make a simulator including user interface functions like start & stop, load parameters, record and save, view 3D display has a real-like length and numerical value of sizes, represent real-shape of inner and outer part of robot, make the possible fast and slow selective observation as a adjust a step, receiving the images through the image device which attached in robot, so make a motion tester simulator of humanoid robot which coded by windows based GUI(Graphic User Interface) program with a MMI(Man Machine Interface) function that user can watch the environment which included robot and use a images. For implement this, we use a design data that converted data which made by use a CAD for Laser RP(Rapid Prototyping) progress into C coding for simulator programming. Using OpenGL, an API of graphic, it has a efficiency and detail of graphic operation. To make and test animation data, it has the option of save and resume in animation.

An integrated single-wafer processing tool, composed of multiple single wafer processing modules, transfer robots, and load locks, has complex routing sequences, and often has critical post-processing residency constraints. Scheduling of these tools is an intricate problem, and testing schedulers with actual tools requires too much time and cost. The Single Wafer Processor (SWP) simulator presented in this paper is to validate an on-line scheduler, and evaluate performance of integrated single-wafer processing tools before the scheduler is actually deployed into real systems. The data transfer between the scheduler and the simulator is carried out with TCP/IP communication using messages and files. The developed simulator consists of six modules, i.e., GUI (Graphic User Interface), emulators, execution system, module managers, analyzer, and 3D animator. The overall framework is built using Microsoft Visual C++, and the animator is embodied using OpenGL API (Application Programming Interface).

The former researches on earthwork automation were mainly focused on GPS and sensor application, environment modelling, equipment path planning, work information management, and remote control etc. Recently, reducing $CO_2$ emission becomes one of main focuses for an automation research. In the case of earthwork operations, many kinds of construction machines or robots are involved, which can cause high level of $CO_2$ in a construction site. An effective earthwork plan and construction machine operation can both increase productivity and safety and decrease $CO_2$ emission level. In this research, some automation concepts for green earthworks are suggested such as a 3D construction site model, a 3D earthwork distribution based on two different earthwork methods, and an earthwork package construction method. A excel-based simulator is developed to generate the 3D earthwork distribution and to estimate the level of $CO_2$ emission for the given earthwork.
Recently, increasing numbers of games and simulators are being implemented by employing the physically-based modeling techniques for better realism. In this paper, we propose the implementation techniques for overhead crane simulator based on ODE, the well-known open source dynamic engine. By comparing the dynamic behavior of the proposed system with a commercial engine based simulator, the physical plausibility and the effectiveness of the ODE based OHC simulator are verified. We expect the proposed the OHC simulator can be successfully utilized for virtual training in various educational institutes.

Nanoscale semiconductor plasma processing has become one of the most challenging issues due to the limits of physicochemical fabrication routes with its inherent complexity. The mission of future and emerging plasma processing for development of next generation semiconductor processing is to achieve the ideal nanostructures without abnormal profiles and damages, such as 3D NAND cell array with ultra-high aspect ratio, cylinder capacitors, shallow trench isolation, and 3D logic devices. In spite of significant contributions of research frontiers, these processes are still unveiled due to their inherent complexity of physicochemical behaviors, and gaps in academic research prevent their predictable simulation. To overcome these issues, a Korean plasma consortium began in 2009 with the principal aim to develop a realistic and ultrafast 3D topography simulator of semiconductor plasma processing coupled with zero-D bulk plasma models. In this work, aspects of this computational tool are introduced. The simulator was composed of a multiple 3D level-set based moving algorithm, zero-D bulk plasma module including pulsed plasma processing, a 3D ballistic transport module, and a surface reaction module. The main rate coefficients in bulk and surface reaction models were extracted by molecular simulations or fitting experimental data from several diagnostic tools in an inductively coupled fluorocarbon plasma system. Furthermore, it is well known that realistic ballistic transport is a simulation bottleneck due to the brute-force computation required. In this work, effective parallel computing using graphics processing units was applied to improve the computational performance drastically, so that computer-aided design of these processes is possible due to drastically reduced computational time. Finally, it is demonstrated that 3D feature profile simulations coupled with bulk plasma models can lead to better understanding of abnormal behaviors, such as necking, bowing, etch stops and twisting during high aspect ratio contact hole etch.

In this paper, we developed a windows 95 version Off-Line Programming system which can simulate a Robot model in 3D Graphics space. 4axes SCARA Robot (especially FARA SM5) was adopted as an objective model. Forward kinematics, inverse kinematics and robot dynamics modeling were included in the developed program. The interface between users and the OLP system in the Windows 95's GUI environment was also studied. The developing language is Microsoft Visual C++. Graphic libraries, OpenGL, by silicon Graphics, Inc. were utilized for 3D Graphics.
