Purpose: The development of the dental technology industry has digitized the dental process. Definition of Digitalization of Dental Implantation Digitalization is the process of model making and prosthodontic processing using 3D CAD and CAM. Currently, it is becoming popular due to the spread of various devices. However, precision evaluation at this stage is an important factor in precision-based dental procedures. Therefore, in this study, we want to analyze the precision of the processed body made with digital dental machine. Methods: The accuracy of digital dental pore devices was evaluated. Specimens were fabricated with 5 types of 3D printers. The external shape was measured with the prepared specimen. The surface roughness was measured. Results: As a result, precision was excellent in order of EP2 specimen, EP1 specimen, and EA2 specimen. The precision of EP3 specimen and EA1 specimen is not excellent. And the precision of the specimen processed with polymer 3D printer is excellent. The accuracy of LCPS type polymer 3D printers is considered to be excellent. Conclusion : 1. Observation of the shape The 3D printer for LCPS system and the 3D printer for SLM $40{\mu}m$ system were found to be precisely processed. 2. Surface roughness results The LCPS system polymer 3D printer has been shown to have a precise surface.
In this paper, we evaluate the effectiveness of previous shading algorithms in depicting shape of 3d objects. We perform a study in which people are shown an image of one of ten 3D objects shaded with one of eight styles and asked to orient a gauge to coincide with the surface normal at many positions on the object's surface. The normal estimates are compared with each other and with ground truth data provided by a registered 3D surface model to analyze accuracy and precision. Our experiments suggest that people interpret certain shape differently depending on shading of 3d object. This paper offers substantial evidence that current computer graphics shading algorithms can effectively depict shape of 3d objects where the algorithms have the properties of lots of tone steps and uniformly distributed tone steps. This type of analysis can guide the future development of new CG shading algorithms in computer graphics for the purpose of shape perception.

The purpose of this study was to analyse craniofacial shape by 3D scanner for female adults with age groups. In this study, heads of 452 female adults were measured by 3D scanner. The obtained 25 measurements were analyzed by statistical methods. The results can be summarized as follows; 1. From the basic statistical data analysis, vertex-tragion and the length between the pupils were the longest in their twenties, and grew shorter in elderly groups. The length of nasion-subnasale and the width of mouth increased with an increased in age. 2. According to the analysis of the craniofacial proportions, the head type of female aduls was short-headed. The size of lower face increased with an increase in age. 3. The statistically noticeable differences were found in the measurement of the left and the right sides of face in the age groups of 20, 30, and 40. 4. High correlations were found in two perpendicular lengths, two horizontal lengths and two widths. 5. The order of factor analysis was as follows; the horizontal length, the perpendicular length and the width from highest.

A new merging technique is adopted for combining rectangular parallelepipes produced by 2-D rectangular code into more intuitive 30D volume elements. Rectangular parallelepiped codes (RP codes) can be used in volume-based representation of a three-dimensional object. We proposed more regularity-conserving 2-D rectangular coding scheme to merge rectangular cells represented by RP codes in three-dimensional space. After being constructed from modified 2-D rectangular code, 3-D RP codes are merged in the two orthogonal directions using new merging algorithm. The shape of merged 3-D object reconstructed by proposed algorithm is shown to be much closer to the original object shape than that of conventional RP codes. The storage requirement of merged object can be also reduced.

Recently, the interests in the 3D image, generated from the range data and CAD, have exceedingly increased, accordingly a various 3D image database is being constructed. The efficient and fast scheme to access the desired image data is the important issue in the application area of the Internet and digital library. However, it is difficult to manage the 3D image database because of its huge size. Therefore, a proper descriptor is necessary to manage the data efficiently, including the content-based search. In this paper, the proposed shape descriptor is based on the voxelization of the 3D image. The medial axis transform, stemming from the mathematical morphology, is performed on the voxelized 3D image and the graph, which is composed of node and edge, is generated from skeletons. The generated graph is adequate to the novel shape descriptor due to no loss of geometric information and the similarity of the insight of the human. Therefore the proposed shape descriptor would be useful for the recognition of 3D object, compression, and content-based search.

Recently, research and developmental direction of communication system is concurrent adopting voice data and face image in speaking to provide more higher recognition rate then in the case of only voice data. Therefore, we present a method of lipreading in speech image sequence by using the 3-D facial shape model. The method use a feature information of the face image such as the opening-level of lip, the movement of jaw, and the projection height of lip. At first, we adjust the 3-D face model to speeching face Image sequence. Then, to get a feature information we compute variance quantity from adjusted 3-D shape model of image sequence and use the variance quality of the adjusted 3-D model as recognition parameters. We use the intensity inclination values which obtaining from the variance in 3-D feature points as the separation of recognition units from the sequential image. After then, we use discrete HMM algorithm at recognition process, depending on multiple observation sequence which considers the variance of 3-D feature point fully. As a result of recognition experiment with the 8 Korean vowels and 2 Korean consonants, we have about 80% of recognition rate for the plosives md vowels.

This study presents a way to generate and manage engineering information by applying steel bridge information model with 3D shape to existing application program. ACIS solid modeling kernel is used to visualize 3D geometric shape of steel bridge on the AutoCAD program. The shape information of 3D solid model can be connected to structural design information of steel bridge by an application module based on information model. The application module for manipulating steel bridge information can be easily developed by ObjectARX programming library supporting functional expansion of AutoCAD program. End-users can use the application module without any additional environmental setup on the AutoCAD. Thus this study facilitates information management of steel bridge by using ACIS solid modeler and ISO/STEP methodology.

This paper describes the forming of fine gear housing using RP system. In order to apply 3D model formed through CAD software to RP system, it is necessary of transforming 3D model into STL file format. Besides, when the same shape is formed repetitively, we must solve the program that the shape accuracy of prototype is irregular. Therefore, we will make an experiment on influence of 3D model, file transformation and prototype on facetres, AutoCAD system value. On the basis of experimental result, we will develop an automatic file transformation program for RP. In the final process, we will manufacture on a better prototype according to the experiment result of fine gear housing.
A 3D shape optimization algorithm integrates the geometric parameterizationi 3D F.E. performance analysis, steepest descent method with design sensitivity and mesh relocation method. The design sensitivity of the surface nodal points is also systematically converted into that of the design variables for the application to parameterized optimization. The proposed algorithm is applied to the optimum design of tank shield model of transformer and the effectiveness is proved.

This paper describes a method for achieving a novel design within a class of 3D objects that would create a preferred impression on users. Physical parameters of the 3D objects that might strongly contribute to their visual impressions are sought through computational investigation of the impression ratings obtained for learning samples. "Car body" was selected as the class of 3D objects to be investigated. A morphable 3D model of car bodies that describes the variations in appearance using a smaller number of parameters was obtained. Based on each car body's rating for the impression of speediness obtained by paired comparison, the visual impression was transformed by manipulating the parameters defined in the morphable 3D model. The validity of the proposed method was confirmed by psychological experiments. A new scheme is also proposed to properly re-sample a novel object of a peculiar shape so that such an object could also be represented by the morphable 3D model.
