Numerous studies have attempted to present converting 2D drawings to 3D. However, converting 3D shapes to exactly how a person thinks is challenging because 2D drawings include numerous variables and possibilities. This study focuses on visualizing 2D to 3D in a commonly used 3D animation software required in animation education or the 3D industry. We implemented our SketchTo3D tool to add the editing and automatic texture assigning method from the imported 2D image into the 3D software that previously had to be done manually. As a result, the SketchTo3D tool saves time to immediately visualize the composition, shape, and volume to express the 3D character, providing an opportunity to break down the barrier between 2D and 3D.
3-Lie algebras are in close relationships with many fields. In this paper we are concerned with the study of 3-Hom-Lie super algebras, the concepts of 3-Hom-Lie coalgebras and how they make a 3-Hom-Lie superbialgebras, we study the structures of such categories of algebras and the relationships between each others. We study a super twisted 3-ary version of the Yang-Baxter equation, called the super 3-Lie classical Hom-Yang-Baxter equation (3-Lie CHYBE), which is a general form of 3-Lie classical Yang-Baxter equation and prove that the superbialgebras induced by the solutions of the super 3-Lie CHYBE induce the coboundary local cocycle 3-Hom-Lie superbialgebras.
Purpose: The aim of this study was a comparative analysis of the effect of distance contrast sensitivity when wearing free-form progressive lens and conventional progressive lens. Methods: The 20 subjects who do not have any ocular diseases were participated in this study. Contrast sensitivities at 5 different levels of spatial frequency were conducted by using FACT (Stereo Optical, USA). Results: Contrast sensitivity was measured for free-form progressive lens and conventional progressive lens in the order of right eye, left eye and binocular. Right/left/binocular contrast sensitivity values of the free-form progressive lenses compared to the conventional progressive lenses were higher 16%/17%/11% at A(1.5 cpd) of spatial frequency, 11%/5%/5% at B(3 cpd) of spatial frequency, 6%/6%/9% at C(6 cpd) of spatial frequency, 19%/16%/13% at D(12 cpd) of spatial frequency, 4%/3%/18% at E(18 cpd) of spatial frequency. Conclusions: In all the area of spatial frequency, distance contrast sensitivity values were measured highly on free-form progressive lens than on conventional progressive lens.
All items from the 3d avatar system should be made to fit the avatar's physical form. However this method is not only a disadvantage in an economical perspective, but also it is difficult to satisfy the client's needs of avatar's variety form. To provide various forms of the avatars, the work load naturally increases. This research is about changing the 3d avatar's body shape based on 3d mesh morphing which allows the 3d avatar with smallest data possible. The result mesh could be generated from source and target mesh with the deformation ratio and all 3d items like hair style, pants, shoes and etc, which was made to fit to basic mesh also could be deformed automatically, to fit them to the result mesh as is. Even if the different physical avatar mesh body such as children style is added to 3d avatar system, it is not necessary to make the 3d avatar items which is fit to the new physical body, New avatar mesh body will be adopted to the 3d avatar system in real time.

The aim of this study was to develop a new efficient strategy that uses the Vector form Intrinsic Finite-element (VFIFE) method to conduct the static and dynamic analyses of marine pipes. Nonlinear problems, such as large displacement, small strain, and contact and collision, can be analyzed using a unified calculation process in the VFIFE method according to the fundamental theories of point value description, path element, and reverse motion. This method enables analysis without the need to integrate the stiffness matrix of the structure, because only motion equations of particles established according to Newton's second law are required. These characteristics of the VFIFE facilitate the modeling and computation efficiencies in analyzing the nonlinear dynamic problem of flexible pipe with large deflections. In this study, a three-dimensional (3-D) dynamical model based on 3-D beam element was established according to the VFIFE method. The deep-sea flexible pipe was described by a set of spatial mass particles linked by 3-D beam element. The motion and configuration of the pipe are determined by these spatial particles. Based on this model, a simulation procedure to predict the 3-D dynamical behavior of flexible pipe was developed and verified. It was found that the spatial configuration and static internal force of the mining pipe can be obtained by calculating the stationary state of pipe motion. Using this simulation procedure, an analysis was conducted on the static and dynamic behaviors of the flexible mining pipe based on a 1000-m sea trial system. The results of the analysis proved that the VFIFE method can be efficiently applied to the static and dynamic analyses of marine pipes.

Laser scanner are getting used for inspection and reverse engineering in industry such as motors, electronic products, dies and molds. However, due to the lack of efficient scanning technique, the tasks become limited to the low accuracy purpose. The main reasons for this limitation for usefulness are caused from the optical drawback, such as irregular reflection, scanning direction normal to measuring surface, the influence of surface integrity, and other optical disturbances. To overcome these drawback of laser scanner, this study propose the mechanism to reduce the optical trouble by using the 2 kinds of rotational movement axis and by composing the spherical coordinate to scanning the surface keeping normal direction consistently. So, it could be designed and interfaced the measuring device to realize that mechanism, and then it could acquisite the accurate 3D form cloud data. Also, these data are compared with the standard master ball and the data acquisited from the touch point sensor, to evaluate the accuracy and stability of measurement and to demonstrate the implementation of an dental tooth purpose system
The water quality in Yongil Bay is getting worse due to the sewage and the waste water from the surrounding industrial complex. The study aims to simulate the current system that is necessary to build ecosystem model for the optium water quality control and clarify the correlation of current system characteristics with water quality in Yongil Bay. To clarify the characteristics of coastal water movement system and verify the applicability of the 3-D model, the current system was simulated using 3-D model baroclinic model which considers tidal current and density effects. As the results of numerical experiments, it is proved the 3-D model is the most applicable on appearing the current system of the stratificated Yongil Bay difference of density. Form the results of simulation considered tidal current only, it can be clarified that the water body flows in the inner bay through the bottom layer and flows out the outer bay through the surface layer in Yongil Bay. And the fresh water from the Hyongsan river and the thermal discharge form POSCO have a little effect on the current system in Yongil Bay, but the diffusion of heat and salt has an important effect upon the formation of the density stratification of the water quality distribution is closely related with the current structure characteristics as well as the tidal residual current system in Yongil Bay.

The latest innovation in the field of fashion comes in the form of 3D-printed clothing. This study explores the composition and characteristics of the shapes in the architecture of Zaha Hadid, a representative architectural designer who expresses space in three dimensions. Hadid applies his aesthetic to fashion design using these distinctive geometric shapes to create design motifs as well as develop new clothing material with 3D printing technology. The research was conducted as follows. First, the lines and arrangement of the geometric shapes in Zaha Hadid's architecture were analyzed so that his design principles could be used as a theoretical basis for this study. The study also reviewed geometric fashion designs using 3D printing technology over the last ten years. Second, we developed triangular modules with rods and tongs that could be fashioned into clothing using fused deposition modeling (FDM) 3D printers. Lastly, the 3D printing fashion design was developed to explore new silhouettes, textures, and a novel way of producing clothing. This study hopes to serve as a stepping-stone for further research on innovations that combine fashion with technology.
