  • As IT-based technologies develop, 3D GIS applications that digitally model real environment are being increased. Although the terms related with 3D CIS are used increasingly, research efforts and applications are mostly limited to only 2D GIS or 3D modeling respectively. The reasons are viewed that there have been less research findings or software tools about integration of 2D GIS and 3B models. Thus, this study presents a method to integrate 2D GIS and 3D models by using database as the means for linkage. To illustrate the process, we developed a prototype application using C# language. Within an interface we showed how to integrate different libraries - EON Studio and MapObjects. We expect that the integration techniques we suggest here can be applied to such areas as disaster prevention, transportation and natural resources management.

  • Benzotriazole is an important synthetic auxiliary for potential clinical applications. A series of benzotriazoles as potential antiproliferative agents by inhibiting histone deacetylase (HDAC) were recently reported. Three-dimensional quantitative structure-activity relationship (3D-QSAR), including comparative molecular field analysis (CoMFA) and comparative molecular similarity indices analysis (CoMSIA), were performed to elucidate the 3D structural features required for the antiproliferative activity. The results of both ligand-based CoMFA model ($q^2=0.647$, $r^2=0.968$, ${r^2}_{pred}=0.687$) and CoMSIA model ($q^2=0.685$, $r^2=0.928$, ${r^2}_{pred}=0.555$) demonstrated the highly statistical significance and good predictive ability. The results generated from CoMFA and CoMSIA provided important information about the structural characteristics influence inhibitory potency. In addition, docking analysis was applied to clarify the binding modes between the ligands and the receptor HDAC. The information obtained from this study could provide some instructions for the further development of potent antiproliferative agents and HDAC inhibitors.

  • The aim of this study was to examine chemical and isotopic compositions of groundwater and lake water near an area contaminated by petroleum and to evaluate influence of petroleum on them during the period from March to August 2011. In dry season, $Ca^{2+}$ and $SO{_4}^{2-}$ were dominant in the groundwater and lake water and $Ca^{2+}$ and $HCO{_3}^-$ were significant in wet season. ${\delta}^{18}O$ and ${\delta}D$ of the groundwater and lake water were plotted near LMWL (${\delta}D=8.06{\delta}^{18}O+12.5$). ${\delta}^{18}O$ and ${\delta}D$ of the lake water did not show seasonal variation. However, ${\delta}^{18}O$ and ${\delta}D$ of the groundwater were enriched in wet season compared with those in dry season because of influence of small ponds around wells where evaporation losses were slightly experienced. Redox condition of most lake water was oxidation environment in contact with the atmosphere during the study period. However, redox condition of groundwater was transitional environment in dry season and oxidation environment in wet season because of influence of contaminant such as petroleum. In some groundwater, the concentrations of $NO{_3}^-$ in some groundwater were less than 1 mg/L because of denitrification. Also, $NO{_3}^-$ showed positive correlation with $SO{_4}^{2-}$ and weak negative correlation with $HCO{_3}^-$, because of influence of denitrification.

  • In studying an autonomous navigation technique of UUV(Unmaned Underwater Vehicle), one of the many fundamental techniques is to plan a 3D path to complete the mission via realtime information received by sonar showing landscapes and obstacles. The simulation system is necessary to verify the algorithm in researching and developing 3D path planning of UUV. It is because 3D path planning of UUV should consider guide control, the dynamics, ocean environment, and search sonar models on the basis of obstacle avoidance technique. The simulation system developed in this paper visualizes the UUV's movement of avoiding obstacles, arriving at the goal position via waypoints by using C++ and OpenGL. Plus, it enables the user to setup the various underwater environment and obstacles by a user interface. It also provides a generalization that can verify path planning algorithm of UUV studied in any developing environment.

  • The low price around 1000 USD makes consumer 3D printers as a new additive manufacturing platform for the personal manufacturing where consumers can make and sell their own products. To allow the consumers to design and manufacture their products, not only economic 3D printers but also supporting information systems for their design and manufacturing are essential. This study suggests an extended product data management (PDM) system that can support both the design and manufacturing of personal products with consumer 3D printing services. This extended PDM system helps consumer designers use advanced PDM technologies for their design and connected 3D printing services with Internet of Things (IoT) technology for realization of their products. As a result, the proposed system supports the consumer designers a seamless integrated product development and manufacturing environment supported by PDM and consumer 3D printing services.

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify the influences of type D personality, burnout and work environment on nurses' intention to stay at the hospitals among nurses. Methods: A cross-sectional descriptive design was used. Participants were 135 nurses working at general hospitals. Data were collected using self-report questionnaires. Data were analyzed using the SPSS/WIN 23.0 program for descriptive statistics, independent t-test, ANOVA, $Scheff{\acute{e}}$ test, Pearson's correlation, and hierarchical multiple regression. Results: The score of nurses' intention to stay was 4.78. 39.3% of participants were classified as type D personality group. The scores of burnout and work environment were 2.92 and 2.39, respectively. Intention to stay was negatively correlated with burnout and positively correlated with nurse participation in hospital affairs, nursing foundations for quality of care, nurse manager ability, leadership, and support of nurses, staffing and resource adequacy. Burnout and manager ability, leadership, and support for nurses explained 46.0% of variance of nurses' intention to stay in the hospitals. Conclusion: The results of the study indicate that nursing intervention programs for increasing intention to stay for nurses should include strategies for decreasing the burnout and increasing manager ability, leadership, and support for nurses.

  • According to public and industrial interests on mobile graphics, a preliminary implementation regarding 3D feature visualization system on cell phone was performed using M3G API, one of the de-facto standards for mobile 3D graphic API. Through this experiment, it is revealed that scene graph structure and 3D mobile file format supported from this API is useful one for 3D geo-modeling and rendering in mobile environment. It is necessary that 3D mobile graphic standards can be considered as one component of current mobile GIS services standards to provide value-added 3D GIS contents.
