Feature Extraction of 3-D Object Using Halftoning Image (Halftoning 영상을 이용한 3차원 특징 추출)

  • This paper shows 3D vision system based on halftone image analysis. Any halftone image has its own surface vector normal to surface patch. To classily the given 3D images, all the patch on 3D object are transformed to black/white halftone. First we extract the general learning patterns which represents required slopes and their attributes. And next we propose 3D segmentation by searching intensity, slope and density. Artificial neural network is found to be very suitable in this approach, because it has powerful learning quality and noise tolerant. In this study, 3D shape reconstruct using pyramidian model. Our results are evaluated to enhance the quality.

  • 현재 모바일 게임시장은 2D 위주에서 3D로 변화를 모색하고 있다. 각 이동통신사들은 3D 게임과 Network 접속형 게임의 활성화를 위해 GXG, GPANG 등의 전용 서비스 사이트를 개설하고 다양하고 저렴한 월정액 요금제를 출시하는 등의 많은 노력을 보이고 있으며, 3D 지원 단말기 역시 보급속도가 점차 높아져가고 있는 추세이다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 변화된 모바일 게임 환경에 적용 가능한 육성게임을 설계 및 구현하였다. 본 연구의 육성게임은 웹과 게임서버와 클라이언트간의 연동시스템, NF3D를 이용한 3D 아바타의 생성, 그리고 육성되는 아바타의 지능성 부여 등의 특징을 가지고 있다.

  • Many systems handle 3D-image were used. High-performance computer systems and techniques of compressing images to handle 3D-image were used. But there will be cost Problems, if GIS system is implemented, using the high-performance system. And if GIS system is implemented, using the techniques of compressing images, there will be some loss of a image. It will take a long processing time to handle 3D-images using a general PC because the size of 3D-image files are very huge. The parallel algorithm presented in the paper can improve speed to handle 3D-image using parallel computer system. The system uses the method of displacing images from nodes to screens, dividing a 3D-image into multiple sub images on multiple nodes. The performance of the presented algorithm showers improving speed by experiments.

  • 본 논문에서는 3D 콘테츠와 이를 가공하기 위한 기술로, 한 물체에 여러 방향으로 빛이 주어진 사진들을 이용하여 해당 물체의 3D shape를 재현해 낼 수 있는 Photometric Stereo에 대해 구현 및 테스트해 보고, 1개의 카메라를 사용하여 3D 콘텐츠를 구현해 낼수 있는 방안들에 대하여 살펴 본다.

Stereo Vision-Based 3D Pose Estimation of Product Labels for Bin Picking (빈피킹을 위한 스테레오 비전 기반의 제품 라벨의 3차원 자세 추정)

  • In the field of computer vision and robotics, bin picking is an important application area in which object pose estimation is necessary. Different approaches, such as 2D feature tracking and 3D surface reconstruction, have been introduced to estimate the object pose accurately. We propose a new approach where we can use both 2D image features and 3D surface information to identify the target object and estimate its pose accurately. First, we introduce a label detection technique using Maximally Stable Extremal Regions (MSERs) where the label detection results are used to identify the target objects separately. Then, the 2D image features on the detected label areas are utilized to generate 3D surface information. Finally, we calculate the 3D position and the orientation of the target objects using the information of the 3D surface.

  • Three-dimensional (3D) printing has been particularly widely adopted in medical fields. Application of the 3D printing technique has even been extended to bio-cell printing for 3D tissue/organ development, the creation of scaffolds for tissue engineering, and actual clinical application for various medical parts. Of various medical fields, craniofacial plastic surgery is one of areas that pioneered the use of the 3D printing concept. Rapid prototype technology was introduced in the 1990s to medicine via computer-aided design, computer-aided manufacturing. To investigate the current status of 3D printing technology and its clinical application, a systematic review of the literature was conducted. In addition, the benefits and possibilities of the clinical application of 3D printing in craniofacial surgery are reviewed, based on personal experiences with more than 500 craniofacial cases conducted using 3D printing tactile prototype models.

  • This paper presents a method for real-time 3D Sumi-e rendering us ing normal graphics hardware. Sumi-e is one of the traditional oriental painting styles. Most research on Sumi-e paintings has focused on 2D or :2.5D Sumi-e brushwork simulation. On these systems. complicated user's hand drawing is required to generate the image of Sumi-e effects. and it can render the 2D or 2.5D Sumi-e images only. We present an automated rendering system for 3D image of Sumi-e painting. It uses 3D common object as an input data and does not need any additional input of user brushwork. Especially for the real-time rendering. hardware-accelerated algorithm for Sumi-e rendering is newly suggested in our system. It is designed with efficiency for customer level graphics hard ware. The results of this paper show that the features of traditional Sumi-e painting are successfully modeled and that 3D Sumi-e painting is rendered in real-time effectively.

  • 게임 개발엔진인 Unity3D를 활용한 3인칭 슈팅 게임으로 쉬는 시간 등의 자투리 시간에 즐길 수 있는 짧은 플레이타임을 가지고 복잡한 3D 슈팅 게임과 달리 쉽고 간단한 조작법을 가진 게임이다. 적 객체를 공격하거나 회피하며 각 스테이지당 5분을 생존하면 클리어되며 스코어에 기반한 재화를 지급하는 방식으로 진행된다. 게임 내 그래픽은 Unity Asset Store를 통해 그래픽 Asset을 구매하여 게임 내 사용되는 비행선, 물 효과, 탄환에 활용하였으며 일부 비행선은 기존 Asset을 재조립하여 만들었다.

  • Computer vision research area, a division of computer graphics application area that creates realistic visualization in computer, conducts vigorously researches on developing realistic 3D model or virtual environment. As the popularization and development of 3D display makes common users easy to experience a solid 3D virtual reality, the demand for virtual reality contents are increasing. This paper proposes 3D panorama system using depth point location-based depth map generation method. 3D panorama using depth map gives an effect that makes users feel staying at real place and looking around nearby circumstances. Also, 3D panorama gives free sight point for both nearby object and remote one and provides solid 3D video.

  • This study defines the pipeline for digital fashion contents production using CLO 3D, a 3D fashion design software that supports virtual clothing visualization as a cutting-edge simulation technology for fashion, and vuforia, a mobile platform augmented reality (AR) development kit for creating AR applications. The proposed production pipeline is organized in a method to produce a virtual clothing model through CLO 3D software through works of patterns, sewing lines, textures, etc., and AR contents based on computer vision techniques using the functions and properties of vuforia development kits in the Unity engine development environment. In addition, we present application method that can be practically utilized from the perspective of practical users, such as fashion designers and directors, by creating a new type of AR digital fashion contents directly as a flow of the defined production pipeline.
