Fast 3D reconstruction method based on UAV photography

  • 3D reconstruction of urban architecture, land, and roads is an important part of building a "digital city." Unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) are gradually replacing other platforms, such as satellites and aircraft, in geographical image collection; the reason for this is not only lower cost and higher efficiency, but also higher data accuracy and a larger amount of obtained information. Recent 3D reconstruction algorithms have a high degree of automation, but their computation time is long and the reconstruction models may have many voids. This paper decomposes the object into multiple regional parallel reconstructions using the clustering principle, to reduce the computation time and improve the model quality. It is proposed to detect the planar area under low resolution, and then reduce the number of point clouds in the complex area.

  • 3차원 국토환경의 디지털기반의 가시화는 국토계획 및 통신설비계획, 철도건설, 건축, 입체적인 도시공간정보시스템 구현, 안전 및 방재 등에서 많은 필요와 그 중요성이 크게 부각되고 있다. 현재 국가지리정보 사업으로 완성된 2차원적인 지도정보와 시설정보를 3차원의 도시공간으로 재현하기 위하여 기존의 등고선을 이용한 DEM 방식은 많은 한계를 가지고 있으며, 특히, 철도와 같은 노선 폭이 좁고 길이가 길어서 궤적 관리가 어려운 작은 구조물의 경우에는 그 고도모델이 무시되기 쉬우므로, 레이져 측량기술을 이용한 공간대상물에 대한 높은 정확도 취득이 크게 필요한 실정이다. 최근에는 레이져 측량기술과 GPS를 결합한 고밀도 고정도의 높이 값을 얻을 수 있는 LiDAR Data의 획득으로 그러한 한계를 극복하고 있는 추세이다. 비교적 LiDAR 관련 연구가 활발한 해외 선진기술을 연구하고 우리 실정에 적합한 3차원 지형 및 철도시설의 분석이 가능하도록 데이터의 생성기법 및 알고리즘을 개발하여 3차원 공간에서의 최적의 노선관리가 가능하도록 하였다. 이를 위하여 LiDAR Data를 중심으로 하는 높이 값을 DEM으로 변환하고, 디지털 영상의 매칭 및 정확도 평가 등을 통한 벡터와 래스터의 실시간 통합 및 전환으로 장거리 노선에서의 3차원 철도 모델의 생성을 통한 추적관리가 가능하도록 하였다.

G2D 침수해석 모형을 이용한 시나리오 기반 도시 침수예측 연구 (A Study on Scenario-based Urban Flood Prediction using G2D Flood Analysis Model)

  • 본 논문에서는 2차원 침수해석 모형인 G2D를 이용하여 모의 도메인을 구성하고, 전주시 전역을 대상으로 시나리오 기반 도시 침수예측을 수행하였다. 도메인 구성과 격자별 조도계수 설정은 DEM과 토지피복도를 이용하고, G2D 모형의 입력은 수위, 수심 및 유량 등을 적용하였다. 가상강우는10분당3 mm로5시간동안모든격자에부여하였고, 가상 유량을 적용하여 지표면 침수해석 모의를 진행하였다. 또한 대상 지역의 침수해석 모델 실행 여부를 판단하기 위해 GPU 가속기법을 적용하였다. 모의 결과 고해상도 침수해석 시간의 대폭 단축 및 모의 시간별 시각적인 침수 판단을 위한 침수심을 생성할 수 있음을 확인하였다.

시간별 교통량 변화에 따른 환경오염지도(대기 및 소음) 구축방안에 관한 연구 (Hourly Environmental Pollution (Air Pollution and Noise) Mapping Method by the Traffic Volume Change)

  • Air pollution and traffic noise from roads distributed near residential area has been a major social problem. In this study, an environmental pollution map for a residential area of Shihung-city was made by an expectation model based on hourly traffic volume change. Using the result from the model, a plan to reduce population in the residential area was established. The result of the modelling is summarized as follows: 1. At peak traffic hours (18 o'clock), 301-500 degree in hazardous and $d_{25}$ degree (25% of the residents are suffering extremely from the noise) in noise pollution were predicted in Jeongwang Main Road in Shihung city. 2. The calculated critical pollutant standard index, PSI showed the air pollution level, especially PM-10 high enough to require re-entrainment. 3. It was expected air pollution would extensively extend over the area distribution of each degree. However, noise pollution problem was limited to the area near roads.

음식물류폐기물 및 배출폐수의 특성 (Characteristics of the Food Waste and Wastewater Discharged from Food Waste Treatment Process)

  • Waste generation was generally expected to steadily rise due to a rapid increase in population and economic growth. However, regulations on disposable goods and a volume-based waste fee system have led to a gradual reduction in the amount of waste. In the case of food waste, separation of food waste from other waste has been put in place since direct landfilling was banned in January 2005. The predicted generation amounts of food waste and wastewater in the model city were 54 ton/d and 127.3 ton/d by year 2020, respectively. However, appropriate treatment technologies for food waste and wastewater discharged from food waste treatment processes are yet to be established. In this study, the food waste and wastewater discharged from food waste treatment process in the model city were characterized by literal and field investigation.

다차원공간정보를 이용한 실감정사영상 제작 방안 (Producing True Orthophoto Using Multi-Dimensional Spatial Information)

  • 최근 u-City, uECO-City와 같은 유비쿼터스(ubiquitous) 개념이 도입된 도시계획의 새로운 패러다임이 등장하면서 도심지역에 대한 고품질의 3차원 지형공간정보에 대한 필요성이 대두되고 있다. 정사영상(orthophoto)은 고도의 전문기술자가 아니더라도 개인용 컴퓨터를 이용하여 수치지도에 비해 손쉽게 적은 비용과 시간으로도 제작할 수 있으며, 지형지물의 상호위치관계가 지형도와 동일함에 따라 정사사진을 통해 직접적으로 거리, 각도 지형지물의 수평 및 수직위치좌표, 면적 등의 정보를 얻을 수 있다. 그리고 영상으로 표현됨으로 시각적 효과가 양호함으로 지형의 세세한 부분까지도 판독이 용이하여 수치지도에 비해 효과적으로 정보를 인식할 수 있는 장점을 가지고 있어 다양한 분야에서 제작 및 활용이 이루어지고 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 도심지역의 실감정사 사진 제작을 위한 정밀 DSM 생성 방안을 제시하고, 정사사진의 기하학적 보정과 방사적 보정시 최적 변수값을 실험을 통해 규명함으로써, 도심지역의 최적 실감정사사진 제작 방안을 제시하였다. 또한 정립된 최적 생성 방안으로 생성된 실감정사영상 및 정밀 DSM을 이용해 3차원 도시모델을 제작하여 활용성을 검토하였다.

소음지도를 이용한 도시 교통 소음 평가방법에 관한 연구 (Study on the Assessment Method of Urban Traffic Noise Using the 3D Noise mapping in Cheongju city)

  • Noise mapping is performed in the city of Cheongju which has 626,614 inhabitants on a $153.41km^2$ area. This city has 71,387 buildings and 969,274m roads. Many database sets like information of roads, topography and buildings are required for making the noise map of large area. These database sets are provided by the various departments of the regional administration in Cheongju city. Using the given database sets, 3-dimensional model of topography and buildings are made to consider the multi-reflections and diffractions. A predicted noise level is compared with measured noise level of the road traffic noise. As the tool of management and decision of urban noise policy, noise map is combined into the map of land use to make the conflict noise map. This conflict noise map is useful to assess the present urban noise and to make the better life in complicated urban life.

Prediction of chloride diffusion coefficient of concrete under flexural cyclic load

  • This paper presented the model to predict the chloride diffusion coefficient in tension zone of plain concrete under flexural cyclic load. The fictitious crack based analytical model was used together with the stress degradation law in cracked zone to predict crack growth of plain concrete beams under flexural cyclic load. Then, under cyclic load, the chloride diffusion, in the steady state and one dimensional regime, through the tension zone of the plain concrete beam, in which microcracks were formed by a large number of cycles, was simulated with assumptions of continuously straight crack and uniform-size crack. The numerical analysis in terms of the chloride diffusion coefficient, $D_{tot}$, normalized $D_{tot}$, crack width and crack length was issued as a function of the load cycle, N, and load level, SR. The nonlinear model as regarding with the chloride diffusion coefficient in tension zone and the load level was proposed. According to this model, the chloride diffusion increases with increasing load level. The predictions using model fit well with experimental data when we adopted suitable crack density and tortuosity parameter.

국내 도로 환경에 특화된 자율주행을 위한 멀티카메라 데이터 셋 구축 및 유효성 검증 (Construction and Effectiveness Evaluation of Multi Camera Dataset Specialized for Autonomous Driving in Domestic Road Environment)

  • Along with the advancement of deep learning technology, securing high-quality dataset for verification of developed technology is emerging as an important issue, and developing robust deep learning models to the domestic road environment is focused by many research groups. Especially, unlike expressways and automobile-only roads, in the complex city driving environment, various dynamic objects such as motorbikes, electric kickboards, large buses/truck, freight cars, pedestrians, and traffic lights are mixed in city road. In this paper, we built our dataset through multi camera-based processing (collection, refinement, and annotation) including the various objects in the city road and estimated quality and validity of our dataset by using YOLO-based model in object detection. Then, quantitative evaluation of our dataset is performed by comparing with the public dataset and qualitative evaluation of it is performed by comparing with experiment results using open platform. We generated our 2D dataset based on annotation rules of KITTI/COCO dataset, and compared the performance with the public dataset using the evaluation rules of KITTI/COCO dataset. As a result of comparison with public dataset, our dataset shows about 3 to 53% higher performance and thus the effectiveness of our dataset was validated.

The unicellular green alga Dunaliella salina Teod. as a model for abiotic stress tolerance: genetic advances and future perspectives

  • The physiology of the unicellular green alga Dunaliella salina in response to abiotic stress has been studied for several decades. Early D. salina research focused on its remarkable salinity tolerance and ability, upon exposure to various abiotic stresses, to accumulate high concentrations of $\beta$-carotene and other carotenoid pigments valued highly as nutraceuticals. The simple life cycle and growth requirements of D. salina make this organism one of the large-scale commercially exploited microalgae for natural carotenoids. Recent advances in genomics and proteomics now allow investigation of abiotic stress responses at the molecular level. Detailed knowledge of isoprenoid biosynthesis mechanisms and the development of molecular tools and techniques for D. salina will allow the improvement of physiological characteristics of algal strains and the use of transgenic algae in bioreactors. Here we review D. salina isoprenoid and carotenoid biosynthesis regulation, and also the biotechnological and genetic transformation procedures developed for this alga that set the stage for its future use as a production system.
