컴퓨터 게임의 트랩 유형 분석

  • 본 논문에서는 컴퓨터 게임공간의 레벨디자인을 기반으로 3D 공간에서 설계될 수 있는 트랩 유형을 제시하였다. 트랩은 게임 내의 장애물로서 3D 공간에서의 X, Y, Z 축으로의 이동방향, 고정, 운동, 회전, 스케일의 트랩 자체의 상태, 일회성, 반복, 순환의 작동타입 등의 요소를 바탕으로 표현된다. 트랩의 상태를 기준으로 작동 타입과 이동방향의 경우의 수를 조합한 결과 28가지의 트랩 유형이 도출되었다. 그리고 도출해낸 28가지의 트랩 유형이 실질적으로 게임공간에 적용되어 쓰이고 있는지 알아보기 위해 발리언트와 트라인 게임을 대상으로 트랩 유형을 살펴보았다.

A Study on Analysis and Development of Geo-Spatial Collaboration Platform (공간정보 기반의 협업지원플랫폼 분석 및 구축)

  • The fact that the limits of information recency, diversity, and usability are mainly caused by the supply oriented geospatial data and service development is commonly recognized. It is recently tried to overcome the limits by facilitating user experience and VGI(Volunteered Geographic Information) in several geospatial web services. This study suggests conceptual architecture and service scenario for geospatial collaborative platform prototype through review and examination of previous researches. The prototype, composed of 4 unit modules: 3D POI Creation Module, 3D POI Application Module, 3D POI/Event Management Module, 3D POI/Event Monitoring Module, provides the capability of collaboratively dealing with geospatial work. The suggested service scenario is demonstrated by developing prototype for the service modules.

  • Today's Digital Environment made Typography to enter into a new phase. The Type which is a principal component of Typography is no exception to this aspect. However since the existing two-dimensional space has figurative potential, Visual Communication designers are still striving to explore both X axis and Y axis. In this context, Z axis which signifies 'Depth' is often recognized as an unfamiliar mathematical concept unrelated to Design Sensibility. If Z axis is used, the figurative aspect can be acquired, which was hard to be realized in the flat space, because the additional space of depth allows the expansion of omni-directional expression of target. Most notable is the fact that Z axis provided by Digital Environment has actually long existed and is inseparable from Type. This study, therefore, focuses on the three-dimensional expression of Type in the Visual Communication Design area by taking into account the above characteristics.

Performance Improvement of 3D HDTV Transmission with Block LDPC Codes (블록 LDPC 부호를 사용한 3D HDTV 전송을 위한 성능개선 방안에 관한 연구)

  • 최근 ATSC방식의 디지털 방송에서 HD급의 3D 방송 서비스에 대한 관심이 증가 되고 있는 추세이다. HD급의 3D 방송 서비스(이하 3D HDTV)를 제공하기 위해 [2]에서는 ATSC 전송 시스템을 확장하고 BCH 부호와 IRA 타입의 LDPC를 사용하는 수정된 ATSC 전송 시스템을 제안하였다. 본 논문에서는 BCH와 IRA 타입의 LDPC 부호 대신 Reed Solomon 부호와 Block LDPC 부호를 사용하고 16QAM 변조를 사용하여 전송 용량을 증대할 수 있다는 사실을 확인하였다. AWGN 채널에서 모의 실험한 결과 BCH부호와 LDPC부호 및 4PAM을 적용한 수정된 ATSC 전송시스템의 TOV는 약 7dB로 19.33Mbps로 전송되지만[2] 본 논문에서 제안한 RS(207, 187)과 부호율 3/4인 Block LDPC 및 16QAM의 TOV는 약 5.4dB로 29Mbps로 전송되어 기존시스템에 비해 약1.5배의 전송 용량 증대가 가능한 것으로 확인되었다. 이로서 6MHz의 한정된 대역에서 HD급의 3D 방송서비스 실현이 한층 더 가까워지게 될 것으로 예상된다.

Bleaching Observation of Cosmetic Color Lenses According to Multipurpose Contact Lens Solutions (다목적 콘택트렌즈 용액에 대한 미용 칼라렌즈의 탈색 관찰)

  • Purpose: This study aims to observe bleaching resulted from multipurpose contact lens solutions used to manage lenses with the subjects of colored contact lenses being distributed in Korea. Methods: The lenses have been worn for six months, and their refraction is 0.00D. Three types of colored contact lenses of which margin has been colored with a different manufacturing method have been adopted (type 1: pigment application method, type 2: chemical bonding process, type 3: sandwich method), and multipurpose solutions used were two types containing different components. Each of the colored contact lenses was stored in the multipurpose solutions for 20 days and went through vortexing for 15 seconds per day. Their fluorescence absorbance, surface roughness, brightness index, and color coordinate index were measured before and after the vortexing to see the degree of bleaching. Results: In the two types of multipurpose solutions, every type of the color contact lenses showed no statistically significant difference in their fluorescence absorbance value before and after the vortexing. Regarding surface image, the front surface of the lenses was smooth in every type, and about the back surface, type 3 indicated less protrusion than type 1 and 2. About the difference of color on the lens surface before and after the vortexing, type 3 showed significantly less difference than type 1 and 2; however, all fell into the permissible error. Conclusions: About the bleaching of colored contact lenses resulted from multipurpose solutions for soft contact lenses, there was no difference observed in terms of fluorescence absorbance and color. According to the methods of manufacturing dyes, however, there was difference in the protrusion of the posterior surface image.

  • 전자매뉴얼은 기존의 기술 문서를 전자 문서화 한 것으로 멀티미디어 콘텐츠의 활용도가 높은 분야 중 하나이다. 전자매뉴얼은 3D 콘텐츠를 포함할 가능성이 매우 높으며 이 때 직관적이고 정교한 3D 조작 인터페이스가 요구된다. 또한 그런 3D 인터페이스에서의 조작 정보 역시 적절하게 저장하고 재생하는 방법이 존재한다면 조작 정보의 재사용을 통한 복수의 사용자간의 정보 교환을 가능하게 할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 사용자 중심의 직관적인 3D 사용자 인터페이스와 조작의 기록과 재생을 가능하게 하는 Process Annotation 기법이 적용된 전자매뉴얼의 3D 콘텐츠를 제안하고, 실제 프로토타입으로 구현하였다.

A Method of Representing Sensors in 3D Virtual Environments (3D 가상공간에서의 센서 표현 방법)

  • Applications about systems integration of sensors and virtual environments have been developed increasingly. Accordingly, there is a need for the ability to represent, control, and manage physical sensors directly in a 3D virtual environment. In this research, a method of representing physical sensor devices in a 3D virtual environment has been defined using mixed and augmented reality, including virtual and real worlds, where sensors and virtual objects co-exist. The research is intended to control and manage various physical sensors through data sharing and interchange between heterogeneous computing environments. In order to achieve this, general sensor types have been classified, and a sensor based 3D scene graph for representing the functions of sensors has been defined. In addition, a sensor data model has been defined using the scene graph. Finally, a sensor 3D viewer has been implemented based on the scene graph and the data model so as to simulate the functions of sensors in indoor and outdoor 3D environments.

Adaptive Video Watermarking based on 3D-DCT Using Image Characteristics (영상 특성을 이용한 3D-DCT 기반의 적응적인 비디오 워터마킹)

  • In this paper, we propose an adaptive video watermarking method using human visual system(HVS) and characteristics of three-dimensional cosine transform (3D-DCT) cubes. We classify 3D-DCT cubes into three patterns according to the distribution of coefficients in the 3D-DCT cube: cube with motion and textures, cube with high textures and little motion, and cube with little textures and line motion. Images are also classified into three types according to the ratio of these patterns: images with motion and textures, images with high textures and little motion, and images with little textures and little motion. The proposed watermarking method adaptivelyinserts the watermark on the coefficients of the mid-range in the 3D-DCT cube using the appropriately learned sensitivity table and the proportional constants depending on the patterns of 3D-DCT cubes and types of images. Experimental results show that the proposed method achieves better performance in terms of invisibility and robustness than the previous method.

A Study on the Stereotype of ICT SMEs' R&D: Empirical Evidence from Korea (ICT 중소기업 R&D의 스테레오타입에 대한 연구 : 한국의 사례를 중심으로)

  • The ICT industry has been the main driver of Korea's economy with international competitiveness and is expected to be the growth engine that will revitalize the currently depressed economy. A broad range of different perspectives and opinions on the industry exist in Korea and overseas. Some of these are stereotypes, not all of which are based on objective evidence. Stereotypes refer to widely-held fixed opinions on a specific group and do not necessarily have negative connotations. However, they should not be viewed lightly because they can substantially affect decision-making process. In this regard, this study sought to review the stereotypes of ICT industry and identify objective and relative stereotypes. In the study, a decision-tree analysis was conducted on a survey result of 3,300 small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in order to identify Korean ICT companies' characteristics that distinguish them from other technology companies. The decision-tree analysis, a data mining process based on machine learning, took a total of 291 variables into account in 10 subjects such as: corporate business in general, technology development activities as well as organization and people in technology development. Identifying the variables that distinguish ICT companies from other technology companies with the decision-tree analysis, the study then came up with a list of objective stereotypes of ICT companies. The findings from the stereotypes of Korean ICT companies are as follows. First, the companies are in need of technology policies that help R&D planning and market penetration. Second, policies must better support the companies working to sell new products or explore new business. Third, the companies need policies that support secure protection of development outcomes and proper management of IP rights. Fourth, the administrative procedures related to governmental support for ICT companies' R&D projects must be simplified. It is hoped that the outcome of this study will provide meaningful guidance in establishment, implementation and evaluation of technology policies for ICT SMEs, particularly to policymakers or researchers in relevant government agencies who determine R&D policies for ICT SMEs.

Evaluation of Fatigue Life and Structural Analysis for Dish-Type and Spoke-Type Automobile Wheels (승용차용 디쉬 타입과 스포크 타입 휠에 대한 구조 해석과 피로 수명 예측)

  • Prior to the experimental and production stages of goods, the strengths should be evaluated in the design stage. The introduction of commercial codes at the design stage gives benefits such as cost and time economies in the production and strength evaluation. In this study, structural analysis and fatigue analysis are carried out using ANSYS modeling of the 3D geometry of the wheel. In a comparison of dish-type and spoke-type wheels, it is shown that the deformation and maximum equivalent stress for the dish-type wheels are lower than those for spoke-type wheels. Nevertheless, spoke-type wheels are often used because they are light and have exhibit excellent cooling performance. Furthermore, according to the results of life analysis, aluminum wheels show improved resistance to fatigue compared to steel wheels.
