Development of the 3D simulation for disaster prevention in the downtown soil erosion (I) (도심지 토사재해 예방을 위한 3차원 시뮬레이션 개발(I))

  • The frequent regional torrential or heavy rain and typhoon mostly caused by climate change has resulted in sediment disasters particularly in mountainous or hilly areas. More than 65% of South Korea is mountainous and development and rapid urbanization has brought lots of steep sloping industrial complexes, which are adjacent to cities. Such continuous urbanization and industrialization can result in an increase in serious damage to those places. Korea has very high population density so sediment disaster could result in a tremendous loss of property and life. A recent 10-year (2001~2010) study of the average annual loss shows 68 casualties and property loss of 1.7044 trillion Won(?), which indicates a 20% and 25% decrease for both life and property, respectively, but urban areas are experiencing increasing damage. In this paper, a comprehensive simulator composed by references, analyses, and the recent technologies was applied to visualize the scale of the damaged Woomyeon-san (Mt.) and verify the performance of the simulator.

  • In this paper, we developed a windows 95 version Off-Line Programming system which can simulate a Robot model in 3D Graphics space. 4axes SCARA Robot (especially FARA SM5) was adopted as an objective model. Forward kinematics, inverse kinematics and robot dynamics modeling were included in the developed program. The interface between users and the OLP system in the Windows 95's GUI environment was also studied. The developing language is Microsoft Visual C++. Graphic libraries, OpenGL, by silicon Graphics, Inc. were utilized for 3D Graphics.

  • The purpose of this research was to propose housing estate planning that applies 3D spatial information to DAS housing estate planning program and to enhance applicability of 3D spatial analysis. In addition, this research evaluated the applicability of 3D spatial information to site planning of Korea Land and Housing Corporation and developed models for the purpose of applying the spatial information efficiently. Moreover, we tested applicability of LiDAR that can allow 3D spatial information to be more efficient and accurate. The results from cross section analysis implies that LiDAR has higher usability than existing geographic information. Additionally, this study shaded light on the suggested system development model that can simulate location or height of an apartment house by spatially analyzing difference between before-and-after site development.

  • This paper describes the procedure of implementing an articulatory speech simulator, in order to model the human articulatory organs and to synthesize speech from this model after. Images required to construct the vocal tract model were obtained from MRI, they were then used to construct 2D and 3D vocal tract shapes. In this paper 3D vocal tract shapes were constructed by spatially concatenating and interpolating sectional MRI images. 2D vocal tract shapes were constructed and analyzed automatically into a digital filter model. Following this speech sounds corresponding to the model were then synthesized from the filter. All procedures in this study were using MATLAB.

  • 본 논문에서는 3D Ray Tracing 편파특성 예측 시뮬레이터를 개발하고 초고속 옥내 무선환경에서의 원형편파 우수성을 시뮬레이션을 통하여 확인하였다. 제안된 3D Ray Tracing 기법을 이용하여 시뮬레이션 한 결과 기수회의 반사파가 수신기에서 수신되지 않는 원형판파의 특성 때문에 다중경로 페이딩을 현저히 감소시킬 수 있음을 확인하였다. 또한, 옥내 가시거리(LOS) 및 비가시거리(NLOS) 환경에서의 원형편파를 이용한 페이딩 경감효과는 수직 및 수평견파나 편파다이버시티보다 우수함을 알 수 있었고, DS-CDMA 시스템을 이용한 경우에 있어서도 원형편파가 보다 우수한 BER 성능을 나타냄을 확인하였다.

  • We propose a new high speed and low power SOI inverter with dynamic threshold voltage that can operate with efficient body-bias control and free supply voltage. The performance of the proposed circuit is evaluated by both the BSIM3SOI circuit simulator and the ATLAS device simulator, and then compared with other reported SOI circuits. The proposed circuit is shown to have excellent characteristics. At the supply voltage of 1.5V, the proposed circuit operates 27% faster than the conventional SOI circuit with the same power dissipation.

  • 강화 학습은 일반적으로 제어 로봇과 관련이 있는 순차적 의사결정을 위한 학습의 한 형태이다. 이 강화 학습은 행동에 대한 보상을 최대로 하는 정책을 학습하는 것을 목표로 한다. 하지만, 강화 학습을 실제 세계에 적용하기에는 많은 제약사항이 존재하며 실제 세계의 복잡한 환경에서 좋은 정책을 학습하는 것은 매우 어렵다. Unity는 강화 학습 시뮬레이션을 위한 전용 Toolkit을 제공한다. 이러한 이유로 Unity를 시뮬레이터로서 사용하는 것이 좋은 정책을 학습하는 훈련의 근거가 된다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 강화 학습을 실제 세계에 바로 적용시키기 전에 Unity Machine Learning Agents Toolkit을 사용하여 실제 세계와 비슷한 환경을 만들고 강화 학습을 통해 에이전트를 미리 학습시켜보는 과정을 수행해봄으로써 시뮬레이터의 필요성을 부각시킨다.
