The chaotic motion analysis by hardware implementation of Bonhoeffer Van der Pol oscillation model (Bonhoeffer Van der Pol 오실레이터 모델의 하드웨어 구현에 의한 카오스 운동 해석)

  • The effects of periodic and chaotic behaviour in the Bonhoeffer-Van der Pol (BVP) oscillation of the nerve membrane driven by a periodic stimulating current A1 coswtare investigated through hardware implementation.For hardware implementation of the BVP model. real element values were escaled with computer simulation results to determine the parameter real value.As the parameter A1 varied in the range 0 to 1.3, the BVP model showed an ordinary and reversed period-doubling cascade and a chaotic state. At the low driving amplitude ofa1 the period-doubling showed and at the high driving amplitude of A1 the chaotic state occured. To analyse the BVP model for chaotic behaviour Phase Plane, Time series are used to verify that properties.

Effects of Mouth Excercise on the Improvements of Oral Function in Elderly Men (노인의 구강기능 향상에 미치는 구강운동의 효과)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of a mouth excercise program on the promotion of oral function of old people. Forty seven old persons who conducted a mouth excercise exercise two times every week for 12 weeks in the experimental group were compared with the control group of 39 old persons using physical examinations. The results were as follows; In virtue of this exercise the salivary flow was increased 0.029 ml in the experimental group more than 0.046 ml in the control group. Maximum mouth opening in the experimental group was 4.12 cm and higher than 3.92 cm in the control. Also Oral diadochokinesis was 1.69 times per second in experimental group and more than 1.65 in the control group. Based on the above results, it is concluded that the mouth excercise had good effects on promoting oral health. Some movements of the mouth excercise exercise need be modified, and then the exercise should be publicized as one of the ways to improve wholistic health of the aged.

Effects of Perceptual Motor Program on Visual Motor Integration Skill and Motor Skill of a Child With Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder: Single Subject Research Design (지각운동프로그램이 주의력결핍과잉행동장애아동의 시각운동통합기술과 운동기술에 미치는 영향)

  • Objective : The purpose of this study is to explore the effectiveness of a perceptual motor program in promoting visual motor and motor control outcomes in a child with Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) who is enrolled in an elementary school. Methods : The subject is 8-year-old boy who was diagnosed with ADHD but did not receive medication. Research design is a single-subject A-B-A(follow-up). Baseline and follow-up phase were 3 sessions and intervention phase were 8 sessions. After performing 40 minutes of free play on the baseline A and follow-up A, we used the copying subtest of the Korean Development Test of Visual Perception 2 (K-DTVP-2) for evaluating visual motor integration skill and the rope jumping subtest for motor skill. After providing the perceptual motor activity in intervention phase B, copying and ropejumping were performed. Results : The standard scores of the Copying for measuring visual motor integration skill were poor at an average of 4.7 points at baseline phase A, but maintained an average of 9.6 points at intervention phase B and an below average of 7.7 points at the follow-up phase A. In the Rope jumping for the motor skill, it was increased by 4.3 times in the baseline phase A and 5.9 times in the intervention phase B, but slightly decreased by 5 times in the follow-up phase A. Conclusion : This study suggests that perceptual motor program has a positive effect on visual motor and motor function of ADHD children.

Cytochemical Study on the Cytochrome Oxidase Activity and Myocardial Adaptation to Treadmill Exercise in Rat (흰쥐에서 Treadmill 훈련에 따른 심근의 적응과 cytochrome oxidase 활성에 관한 세포화학적 연구)

  • The present study was to elucidate the cytochemical study on the cytochrome oxidase (CO) activity and myocardial adaptation to treadmill exercise in rat. The three month Sprague-Dowley male $(150{\pm}10g)$ were used in experimental animal. The experimental groups were divided into 2 groups: the normal sedentary group and the treadmill exercise group. On each 1st and 3rd day, 1st, 4th, 8th, and 12th experimental week four rats of each group were sacrificed for tests. The morphometrical measurements were used to evalute the change of heart weight, rate of myocardial fibers to capillaries, and cytochemical study of CO activities, using light and electron microscopy. The results were as follows: The heart weights were more increased in the treadmill exercise group than those of their sedentary group. The rate of myocardial fibers to capillaries were not changed in sedentary group, but those were significantly from 4th weeks in the treadmill exercise group. The CO activity was not changed in sedentary group, but increased in treadmill exercise group after 1 st week. I and III types of CO activity were increased In sedentary group, in contast to II and III types in treadmill exercise group on electron micrographic study. These results suggest that, the treadmill exercise-induced changes in CO activity and rate of myocardial fibers to capillaries appear to be related to exercise, and the adaptive response seems to occurs from 4th week of treadmill exercise.

Change of Mitochondrial Biogenesis Genes on Regular Exercise Training in Adipocytes of Ovariectomized Rats Fed on High Fat Diet (규칙적 운동이 고지방식이 난소절제흰쥐의 지방세포에서 미토콘드리아 생합성 유전자들의 변화)

  • Menopause and obesity are associated with metabolism. The purpose of this study was to examine the changes of PPAR${\gamma}$, PGC-1(${\alpha},\;{\beta}$), NRf-1 and TFAM mRNA and mitochondria biogenesis in adipocytes and investigate the effect of swimming exercise for 6weeks on ovariectomized rats. Rats were randomly assigned to 3 groups: (1) ovariectomized rats fed with a control diet (C, n=4), (2) ovariectomized rats fed with high fat diet (H, n=4), and (3) ovariectomized rats trained to exercise and fed with high fat diet (H+EX, n=4). Exercise was performed by swimming for 5 days/wk, with a progressive increase in exercise over the course of 6 weeks. Results showed that the fat tissue weight in the H group was markedly increased (p<0.01) compared to other groups, however, regular exercise significantly decreased fat weight. The PPAR-${\gamma}$ (p<0.05), PGC-$1{\alpha}$ (p<0.01), -$1{\beta}$ (p<0.05), NRf-1 (p<0.01) and TFAM (p<0.05) mRNA expression in the adipocytes of H+EX were higher than in the H group. These results suggest that regular exercise for 6 weeks might exert positive effects by increasing PPAR-${\gamma}$, PGC-1 (${\alpha},\;{\beta}$), NRf-1 and TFAM mRNA expression and mitochondria in adipocytes. Thus, regular exercise may be helpful in the improvement of mitochondria biogenesis function in obese, ovariectomized rats.

The Effect of Antioxidative Change in Cardiac Muscle of Obesity Rat by Treadmill Exercise with Intensity and Time (운동강도와 지속시간에 따른 트레드밀 운동이 비만 쥐의 심장근 내 항산화에 미치는 영향)

  • The aims of this study was to observed an effect of antioxidative in cardiac muscle of high fat diet induced obesity rat by treadmill exercise with intensity and time. Thirty-two Sprauge-Dawley rats which were divided into four group. Normal, Control(high fat diet induced obesity rat), Experimental I(high intensity intermittent exercise in high fat diet induced obesity rat), Experimental II(moderate intensity endurance exercise in high fat diet induced obesity rat). The results of this study were as follows: 1. In change of body weight, the outcome of each group significantly difference compared with control. Also, 1 to 3 weeks significantly different compared with pre valu experimental I and II(p<0.001). 2. In change of lipid profile, the outcome of each group significantly difference compared with control(p<0.001). Difference between experimental I and II is not significantly. 3. In change of antioxidative enzymes(SOD, CAT, GPx) in myocardium, there are significant difference between control and experimental II, and also between control and experimental I(p<0.001). 4. In change of antioxidative protein MCR-1, the outcome of each group significantly difference compared with control(p<0.01). Experimental II was most significantly difference than the other group(p<0.001). The above results suggest that treadmill exercise effectively reduced in fat. It would be considered that moderate intensity endurance exercise has an effects on improved antioxidative enzyme in cardiac muscle of high fat diet induced obesity rat.

Changes in Inflammatory Mediators, Immunocompetent Cells and Bone Merrow Progenitor Cells by the Magnitude of Muscle Damage and Type of the Muscle Contraction in the Elderly (고령자의 근육수축양식 및 손상정도에 따른 염증물질, 면역적격세포 및 골수유래 전구세포의 변화)

  • This study investigated the changes in inflammatory mediators, immunocompetent cells and bone merrow progenitor cells by the magnitude of muscle damage and type of the muscle contraction in the elderly. Twenty older adults who had not been involved in a resistance-training program at least 6 months prior to the present study were assigned to eccentric exercise group (ECC, n=10) and concentric exercise group (CON, n=10). All subjects performed 10 sets of 6 maximal isokinetic eccentric (ECC 1) or concentric (CON) contractions with the non-dominant arm in a randomized, with 4 wk between bouts (ECC 2). Skeletal muscle damage index (ROM, VAS, Plasma CK), inflammation mediators (TNF-α, IL-1, IL-6), immunocomperent cells (CD3+, CD4+, CD8+, CD19+), bone merrow progenitor cell (CD34+) and leukocytes were measured before, immediately after, 2, 24, 48, 72, and 96 h after exercise. Changes in ROM and VAS were greater (P<.05) after ECC 1 than CON and ECC 2. Increases in TNF-α and IL-6 were greater (P<.05) 24, 48 and 72 h after ECC 1 than CON and ECC 2. Increases in neutrophils were greater (P<.05) 2 h after ECC 1 than CON and ECC 2. It was confirmed that muscle damage was greater following eccentric than concentric contractions as well as first bout than second bout in the elderly, and suggested that TNF-α, IL-6 and neutrophils should closely correlate with magnitude of muscle damage.

Demand analysis on new Mobile Telecommunication Terminal using Conjoint analysis and Mixed logit (컨조인트 분석과 혼합 로짓 모형을 이용한 차세대 무선 이동 통신 단말기의 수요 분석)

  • 본 논문에서는 최근 통신 산업에서 중요한 쟁점으로 떠오르고 있는 단말기 무선이동 통신 단말기의 발전 방향을 소비자 선호에 기반하여 살펴보았다. 소비자 선호 정보를 얻기 위하여 컨조인트(conjoint) 분석 방법이 사용되었다. 컨조인트 방법은 가상의 대안들에 대한 응답자의 진술 선호에 기반을 두기 때문에 미래의 무선 이동통신 단말기에 대해 분석하는데 적합한 방법이다. 컨조인트 방법을 위한 설문은 대한민국 서울에서 445 명의 성인남녀를 대상으로 행해졌다. 소비자의 이질적인 선호를 알기 위해 혼합 로짓(mixed legit) 모형을 사용하였다. 추정은 최근 새로운 시뮬레이션 기법으로 떠오르고 있는 베이지안(Bayesian) 방법을 이용하였다. 선호의 분포 가정으로 기존의 일관적인 정규 분포 가정과 달리 가격 계수를 위하여 로그 정규(lognormal) 분포, 하이퀄리티 인터넷 특성과 PC 프로그램 호환 가능 여부의 계수들에 대해서 잘린 정규(censored normal) 분포를 가정 하였다. 추정 결과 무선 이동 통신 단말기의 각 속성들에 대한 응답자들간 선호가 크게 차이 나는 것을 알 수 있었다. 화면 크기의 경우에는 대부분의 소비자들이 현재 일반적인 핸드폰보다는 큰 화면을 선호한다는 것과 휴대성을 상당히 고려한다는 것을 간접적으로 알 수 있었다. 또한, 소비자들이 무선 이동 통신 단말기가 휴대 인터넷과 PC 프로그램 호환이 가능한지 여부에는 대부분 무관심하다는 것을 알 수 있었다. 본 논문의 결과는 차세대 무선 이동 통신 단말기의 속성 조합 시 고려해야 할 점과 휴대 인터넷 서비스의 방향에 대해 시사점을 줄 수 있을 것이다.각 73.44±0.87%, 72.88±0.25%의 함량이였다. 운동사육시간이 길어질수록 운동사육구에서는 수분함량이 운동5일째에는 73.56±0.22%였으며, 운동 20일에는 75.88±0.94%로 초기수분함량보다는 3%정도 증가하였다. 반면, 비운동사육구에서는 큰 변화를 나타내고 있지 않았다(p<0.05). 운동과 비운동시킨 참돔의 지질 함량의 변화는 운동시킨 참돔은 운동으로 인한 에너지 소비로 인하여 함량이 유의적으로 감소했으며(r=-0.35), 비운동사육구에서는 절식으로 인하여 지질함량이 감소하였다(r=-0.38). 파괴강도와 가장 밀접한 영향을 가지는 콜라겐은 운동과 비운동 모두 사육기간동안 큰 변화는 보이지 않았다. 초기의 파괴강도값은 1.45±0.02kg(운동사육구), 1.36±0.18kg(비운동사육구)이였으며 사육기간동안 운동사육구는 파괴강도값이 증가한 반면, 비운동수조에서는 참돔의 파괴강도는 사육기간동안 큰 유의차가 없었다. 각 성분간의 상관도를 살펴보면, 수분함량과 파괴강도는 상관성을 가졌으며, 지질함량과 파괴강도도 같은 경향은 나타내었다. 운동기간동안의 파괴강도와 콜라겐 사이에는 상관성의 거의 없었다. 이는 운동기간에 따른 파괴강도의 증가가 콜라겐의 함량의 증가보다는 지질함량의 감소와 수분함량의 증가와 같은 성분과의 상관성이 크다고 판단된다. 다음으로는, 운동횟수에 의한 영향으로써 운동시간을 1일 6시간으로 설정하여, 운동횟수를 결정하기 위하여 오전, 오후에 각 3시간씩 운동시키는 방법과 오전부터 6시간동안 운동시키는 두 방법을 이용하여 품질을 비교하였다. 각 조건에 따라 운동시킨 참돔의 수분함량을 나타낸 것으로, 2회(오전

전주지역 중학생의 음료 섭취 실태와 식생활 태도에 관한 연구

  • 본 연구는 중학생들의 음료기호와 빈도 등에 따른 음료 섭취 실태를 조사하기 위하여 실시하였다. 전주시에 재학하고 있는 중학생으로서 남학생 303명, 여학생 276명을 조사 대상으로 설문지 조사를 실시하였다. 음료섭취의 빈도와 이에 영향을 주는 요인은 다음과 같다. 물은 하루 평균 8.55회 섭취하였으며, 우유 및 요구르트 3.01회, 스포츠 음료는 2.13회, 탄산음료는 1.93회, 과일 및 야채 쥬스는 일주일에 1회 섭취하는 것으로 나타났다. 남학생이 여학생보다 탄산음료 및 스포츠음료를 더 선호하는 것으로 나타났으나, 물과 우유 및 쥬스와 전통음료에서는 남학생과 여학생이 유의적인 차이를 보이지 않았다. 학생들은 식사시 주로 물을 마시는 것으로 나타났으며, 그 다음으로 우유를 마시는 것으로 나타났다. 운동 실태에 따른 음료의 섭취는 규칙적인 운동이나 3시간 이상 운동 시 1시간 이하 운동시보다 탄산음료 또는 스포츠음료 및 우유와 요구르트를 선호하는 것으로 나타났다. 음료를 마시는 때는 주로 운동시였고 그 다음으로 쉬는 시간에 스낵과 함께 마시는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구의 결과 잘못된 음료섭취에 대한 학생과 학부모를 대상으로 영양교육이 필요하며 학교차원에서의 정책적인 접근이 필요하다고 사료된다.
