  • In our present work, we developed a GMI (giant magnetoimpedance) sensor system to detect magnetic fields in the milli gauss range based on the asymmetric magnetoimpedance (AGMI) effect in Co-based amorphous ribbon with self bias field produced by field-annealing in open air. The system comprises magnetoimpedance sensor probe, signal conditioning circuits, A/D converter, USB controller, notebook computer, and program for measurement and display. Sensor probe was constructed by wire-bonding the cobalt based amorphous ribbon with dimensions $10\;mm\;{\times}\;1\;mm\;{\times}\;20\;{\mu}m$ on a printed circuit board. Negative feedback was used to remove the hysteresis and temperature dependence and to increase the linearity of the system. Sensitivity of the milli gauss meter was 0.3 V/Oe and the magnetic field resolution and environmental noise level were less than 0.01 Oe and 2 mOe, respectively, in an unshielded room.

  • This paper proposed a real-time earlobe detection system using deep learning on the web. Existing deep learning-based detection methods often find independent objects such as cars, mugs, cats, and people. We proposed a way to receive an image through the camera of the user device in a web environment and detect the earlobe on the server. First, we took a picture of the user's face with the user's device camera on the web so that the user's ears were visible. After that, we sent the photographed user's face to the server to find the earlobe. Based on the detected results, we printed an earring model on the user's earlobe on the web. We trained an existing YOLO v5 model using a dataset of about 200 that created a bounding box on the earlobe. We estimated the position of the earlobe through a trained deep learning model. Through this process, we proposed a real-time earlobe detection system on the web. The proposed method showed the performance of detecting earlobes in real-time and loading 3D models from the web in real-time.

  • The objective of this study was to create intelligent rail robots that are optimized for facility management and implement digital twin systems for smart road tunnel management. An autonomous surveillance system is formed by combining the sensing platform consisting of railing robots, fixed cameras and environmental detection sensors with the digital twin data platform technology for tunnel monitoring and early fire suppression. In order to develop mobile rail robots for fire extinguishing, we also designed and manufactured robots for extinguishing & monitoring and fire extinguishing devices, and then we examined the optimization of all parts. Our next step was to build a digital twin for road tunnel management by developing continuous image display system and implementing 3D modeling. After constructing prototypes, we attempted simulations by configuring abnormal symptom scenarios, such as vehicles fires. This study's proposal proposes high-accuracy risk prediction services that will enable intelligent management of risks in the tunnel with early response at each stage, using the data collected from the intelligent rail robots and digital twin systems.

  • A low cost and versatile data acquisition system for the field and laboratory use was developed by using a single board microcomputer. Data acquisition system based on a Z80 microprocessor was built, tested and modified to obtain the present functional system. The microcomputer developed consists of 6 kB ROM, 5 kB RAM, 6-seven segment LED display, 16-Hex. key and 8 command key board. And it interfaces with an 8 channel, 12 bits A/D converter, a microprinter, EPROM programmer for 2716, and RS232C interface to transfer data between the system and HP3000 mini-computer manufactured by Hewlett Packard Co., A software package was also developed, tested, and modified for the system. This package included drivers for the AID converter, LED display, key board, microprinter, EPROM programmer, and RS232c interface. All of these programs were written in 280 assembler language and converted to machine codes using a cross assembler by HP3000 computer to the system during modifying stage by data transferring unit of this system, then the machine language wrote to the EPROM by this EPROM programmer. The results are summarized as follows: 1. Measuring program developed was able to control the measuring intervals, No. of channels used, and No. of data, where the maximum measuring speed was 58.8 microsec. 2. Calibration of the system was performed with triangle wave generated by a function generator. The results of calibration agreed well to the test results. 3. The measured data was able to be written into EPROM, then the EPROM data was compared with original data. It took only 75 sec. for the developed program to write the data of 2 kB the EPROM. 4. For the slow speed measurements, microprinter instead of EPROM programmer proved to be useful. It took about 15 min. for microprinter to write the data of 2 kB. 5. Modified data transferring unit was very effective in communicating between the system and HP3000 computer. The required time for data transferring was only 1~2 min. 6. By using DC/DC converting devices such as 78-series, 79-series. and TL497 IC, this system was modified to convert the only one input power sources to the various powers. • The objective of this study is to provide faster mobile web service by improving performance of Contents Cache used for mobile web service in the existing Mobile Gate System. It was found that two elements existed in Mark-Up page transcoded by Contents Generator. One of the elements was dependent only on the requested DIDL page and Mark-Up type. The other was dependent on each of the requested DIDL page, Mark-Up type, size of mobile display 모바일 장치 to request service, type of images available and color depth count of the images available. The conventional Contents Cache saved the entire Mark-Up page to hold both of the two elements. This caused the problem where storage space was not effectively used because reusable elements were repetitively saved in cache memory domain due to change in one of the elements even though all the other elements were the same. As a result, a larger number of transcoded Mark-Up pages could not be saved in the same cache memory size. Therefore, in this study, Mark-Up pages transcoded by Contents Generator were divided into two elements and were separately saved. Also, in order to respond to the demand for replacing data in cache with new data, this study applied two algorithms of LFU and LRU. This study proposed the method to implement cache performance of faster speed by enabling to save more number of the transcoded Mark-Up pages in the same cache storage space.

  • A 16-views 3 dimensional imaging system is designed by spatially combinding two 8-views time multiplexed image channels. Each 8-views channel composed of 3 primary color CRTs and a dichroic beam splitter which combining the three CRTs as one channel. Each CRT displays 8-view images time sequentially. These images are projected to a holographic screen of a size 1$\times$0.8 $m^2$ through a projection optics. Characteristics of the three different configurations of projection optics are examined with the optics designing program "DEMOS" to select an optimized projection optics for the system. The configulation of the optimized projection optics is found like following; images from each channel combined by two-fold mirror are projected by a projection objective through a 16-strips LCD shutter. In this configuration, the shutter should be located at the entrance pupil of the objective, and the folded edge of the two-fold mirror should contact symmetrically to the center line of the shutter.e shutter.

  • Augmented reality makes people feel realistic and reduces the damage to cultural properties that can come into contact with the actual cultural heritage. Augmented reality has the advantage that it can show the past appearance of the historical building or relics, the environment, or related information in addition to the current real environment. Despite these values and advantages, As a result of researches and analyzes of the Augmented Reality contents of the National Museum, 'palace in my hand', and the Miruksa project In the field of domestic cultural heritage warriors, augmented reality technology has shown a very negative attitude such as simply showing cultural heritage content or using it as a guide. However, various conditions such as display and sensor hardware and technology needed to realize augmented reality more effectively are improving day by day. And If you have various facilities such as the idea of adding storytelling to the exhibits and WiFi building, In the near future, it will be equipped with a display system of cultural heritage contents that combines augmented reality with a more complete one.

  • Real-time traveler information disseminated through Variable Message Signs (VMS) is known to have effects on driver route choice decisions. In the past, many studies have attempted to optimize the system performance using VMS message content as the primary control variable of driver route choice. This research proposes a VMS information provision optimization model which searches the best combination of VMS message contents and display sequence to minimize the total travel time on a highway network considered. The driver route choice models under VMS information provision are developed using a stated preference (SP) survey data in order to realistically capture driver response behavior. The genetic algorithm (GA) is used to find the optimal VMS information provision strategies which consists of the VMS message contents and the sequence of message display. In the process of the GA module, the system performance is measured using micro traffic simulation. The experiment results highlight the capability of the proposed model to search the optimal solution in an efficient way. The results show that the traveler information conveyed via VMS can reduce the total travel time on a highway network. They also suggest that as the frequency of VMS message update gets shorter, a smaller number of VMS message contents performs better to reduce the total travel time, all other things being equal.
