Synthesis and Electrochemical Characteristics of Carbon added Li3V2(PO4)3 (탄소첨가한 Li3V2(PO4)3의 합성 및 전기화학적 특성)

  • The purpose of this study was to improve the conductivity of $Li_3V_2(PO_4){_3}$ by adding carbon source so that the discharge rate and cyclic properties were improved. Glucose and CNT were added to $Li_3V_2(PO_4){_3}$ and the structure and electrochemical properties were studied. $Li_3V_2(PO_4){_3}$, $Li_3V_2(PO_4){_3}$/C and $Li_3V_2(PO_4){_3}$/CNT were synthesised by solid state reaction using hydrogen reduction method at 600, 700, 800, $900^{\circ}C$. The cathode materials were assembled to coin cell type 2032 with Lithium metal as a counter electrode. The coin cell was galvanostatically evaluated in the voltage range of 3.0~4.8 V.

Hydrothermal Synthesis of LaCO3OH and Ln3+-doped LaCO3OH Powders under Ambient Pressure and Their Transformation to La2O2CO3 and La2O3

  • Orthorhombic and hexagonal lanthanum(III) hydroxycarbonate ($LaCO_3OH$) and $Ln^{3+}$-doped $LaCO_3OH$ ($LaCO_3OH:Ln^{3+}$, where Ln = Ce, Eu, Tb, and Ho) powders were prepared by a hydrothermal reaction under ambient pressure and characterized by thermogravimetry, powder X-ray diffraction, infrared and luminescence spectroscopy, and field-emission scanning electron microscopy. The polymorph of $LaCO_3OH$ depended on the reaction temperature, inorganic salt additive, species of $Ln^{3+}$ dopant, and solvent. The calcination of orthorhombic $LaCO_3OH:Ln^{3+}$ (2 mol %) powers at $600^{\circ}C$ yielded a mixture of hexagonal and monoclinic $La_2O_2CO_3:Ln^{3+}$ powders. The relative quantity of the latter increased with decreasing ionic radius of the $Ln^{3+}$ dopant ion and increasing doping concentrations. On the other hand, the calcination of hexagonal $LaCO_3OH:Ln^{3+}$ (2 mol %) powders at $600^{\circ}C$ resulted in a pure hexagonal $La_2O_2CO_3:Ln^{3+}$ powder, regardless of the species of $Ln^{3+}$ ions (Ln = Ce, Eu, and Tb). The luminescence spectra of $LaCO_3OH:Ln^{3+}$ and $La_2O_2CO_3:Ln^{3+}$ were measured to examine the effect of their polymorph on the spectra.

3D Figure Creation System Based on Content-Awareness for 3D Printing (3D 프린팅을 위한 콘텐츠 인지 기반 3D 개인 피규어 생성 시스템)

  • We present a system for generating 3D personalized figures. This system provides 3D figures model modification and combination functions based on the content-awareness. The integrity of the 3D model must be guaranteed at the time of slicing of the 3D model for 3D printing. In addition to this, with 3D printing, we generally have to print a hollow model in order to save money, time, and the integrity of the print. This paper proposes the automatic algorithm that creates the 3D individual figures with depth sensor and the easy UI functions for deformation, thickness adjustment, and combination of the generated 3D figures model based on the content-awareness. Our proposed method maintains the unique features of the generated 3D figures and ensures the successful 3D printing.

An Empirical Study Approach to Investigating Impact of 3D Stereoscopic Film's Customer Satisfaction (3D입체영화의 만족에 관한 탐색적 연구)

  • This study is an empirical study approach to investigating impact of 3D stereoscopic film's customer satisfaction. Using conventional methods, there were identified 3D stereo films's factors that character, story, dialogue, music, and 3D technical factors. And There were trying to analyze the impactive gaps of 3D stereoscopic film's customer satisfaction between high participation and low participation of customers about 3D film's. The results of this study can be summarized broadly as follows. First, the story and 3D technical factors was high-impact of customer's satisfaction at watching the 3D films. Second, 3D technical factors were highly correlated with customer satisfaction at the low participation group. And 3D technical factors and story were highly correlated with customer satisfaction at the high participation group. The conclusion is expected to provide useful suggestions about the selection of variables at the future 3D film study.

Volatile Compounds Formed by Thermal Degradation of Ascidian Tunic Carotenoids (우렁쉥이 껍질 카로테노이드의 가열분해로 생성되는 휘발성 화합물의 특성)

  • As an investigation for utilization of ascidian tunic carotenoids as a food color additives, we attempted to collect the volatile thermal degradation compounds from ascidian tunic carotenoids. Oxygenate volatile compounds were extracted by simultaneous distillation and extraction/concentration apparatus and analyzed by gas chromatography and mass spectrometery. Total 63 compounds were identified and some of them were caused by thermal degradation. They included 1,3,5-trimethylbenzene, 3,5,5-trimethyl-3-cyclohexen-1-ol, 3,5,5-trimethyl-3-cyclohexen-1-one, 1,1,2,3-tetramethyl-2-cyclohexen-5-ol, 1,1,2,3-tetramethyl-2-cyclohexen-5-one, 2,3,4,4-tetramethyl-6-hydroxy-2-cyclohexene-1-one, 1,2,3,8-tetrahydro-3,3,6-trimethyl-1-naphtol, dihydroacetinidolide, ${\beta}-ionone$, 2-(1,1,5-trimethyl-3-hydroxy-5-cyclohexen-6-yl)-1-tolylethene, 2,6-dimethyl-8-(1,1,5-trimethyl-3-hydroxy-5-cyclohexen-6-yl)-1,3,5-octatriene-7-yne. Proposed mechanism of formation of some compounds as thermal degradation products of ascidian tunic carotenoids are provided.

14-3-3ζ Regulates Immune Response through Stat3 Signaling in Oral Squamous Cell Carcinoma

  • Ectopic expression of $14-3-3{\zeta}$ has been found in various malignancies, including lung cancer, liver cancer, head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC), and so on. However, the effect of $14-3-3{\zeta}$ in the regulation of interactions between tumor cells and the immune system has not been previously reported. In this study, we aimed to investigate whether and how $14-3-3{\zeta}$ is implicated in tumor inflammation modulation and immune recognition evasion. In oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC) cell lines and cancer tissues, we found that $14-3-3{\zeta}$ is overexpressed. In OSCC cells, $14-3-3{\zeta}$ knockdown resulted in the up-regulated expression of inflammatory cytokines. In contrast, $14-3-3{\zeta}$ introduction attenuated cytokine expression in human normal keratinocytes and fibroblasts stimulated with interferon-${\gamma}$ (IFN-${\gamma}$) and lipopolysaccharide (LPS). Furthermore, supernatants from $14-3-3{\zeta}$ knockdown OSCC cells dramatically altered the response of peritoneal macrophages, dendritic cells and tumor-specific T cells. Interestingly, Stat3 was found to directly interact with $14-3-3{\zeta}$ and its disruption relieved the inhibition induced by $14-3-3{\zeta}$ in tumor inflammation. Taken together, our studies provide evidence that $14-3-3{\zeta}$ may regulate tumor inflammation and immune response through Stat3 signaling in OSCC.

Sintering Behavior of Al2O3-15v/o ZrO2(+3m/o Y2O3) Ceramics Prepared by Precipitation Method (침전법으로 제조한 Al2O3-15v/o ZrO2(+3m/o Y2O3)계 세라믹스의 소결거동)

  • Al2O3/ZrO2 composites were prepared by precipitation method using Al2(SO4)3.18H2O, ZrOCl2.8H2O and YCl3.6H2O as starting materials and NH4OH as a precipitation agent. Al2O3/ZrO2 composites(series A) were prepared by mixing Al2O3 powder obtained by single precipitation method with ZrO2(+3m/o Y2O3) powder obtained by co-predipitation method. Al2O3/ZrO2 composites (series B) were prepared by co-precipitation method using the three starting materials. In all cases, the composition was controlled as Al2O3-15v/o ZrO2(+3m/o Y2O3). The composites of series A showed higher final relative densities than those of series B and tetagonal ZrO2 in all cases was retained to about 95% at room temperature. ZrO2 particles were coalesced more rapidly in grain boundary of Al2O3 than within Al2O3 grain. ZrO2 particles were located at 3-and 4-grain junction of Al2O3 and limited the grain growth of Al2O3. It was observed that MgO contributed to densification of Al2O3 but limited grain growth of Al2O3 by MgO was not remarkable. In all Al2O3/ZrO2 composites, exaggerated grain growth of Al2O3 was not observed and Al2O3/ZrO2 composites were found to have homogeneous microstructures.

Synthesis and characterization of CaZrO3:Pr3+ phosphor by skull melting method (스컬용융법에 의한 CaZrO3:Pr3+ 형광체 합성 및 특성분석)

  • Ca1-xZrO3:xPr phosphor with perovskite structure was successfully synthesized by using skull melting method. The crystal structure, morphology and optical properties of synthesized phosphor were characterized using X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), ultraviolet fluorescence reaction and photoluminescence. The XRD results indicated that single crystals of CaZrO3:Pr3+ belongs to orthorhombic perovskite system. The synthesized phosphor could be excited by UV light (254 nm) and the emission spectra results indicated that green luminescence of CaZrO3:Pr3+ due to charge transfer transition 3P03H4, 3P13H5 and 3P03H5 at 506, 536 and 548 nm was dominant.

Trusted Non-3GPP Access Interworking in 3GPP 5G System (3GPP 5G 시스템에서 Trusted Non-3GPP 액세스 연동 기술)

  • A common core network is the one of main architectural principles in 3GPP 5G System which has common interfaces with different multiple accesses. 3GPP 5G System Phase 1 (Release 15) supports Untrusted Non-3GPP access as well as 3GPP access with common interfaces. Non-3GPP Interworking Function (N3IWF) has been defined to interface with a UE and a core network for supporting Untrusted Non-3GPP access in 3GPP Release 15. However, interworking with Trusted Non-3GPP access is under study to be completed in 3GPP 5G System Phase 2 (Release 16). Therefore, this paper proposes a Trusted Non-3GPP access network architecture and related signaling procedures, and then the implementation based on the proposal shows how to interwork between Trusted Non-3GPP access and the 5G core network. In our proposal, N3IWF can interwork with either Untrusted or Trusted Non-3GPP access without any architectural modification or addition of 3GPP 5G system Phase 1.

Isolation of Polyphenol from Green Tea by HPLC and Its Physiological Activities (HPLC에 의한 녹차의 polyphenol 화합물의 분리 및 polyphenol의 생리활성)

  • Polyphenols were isolated from Korean green tea using Sephadex LH-20 and HPLC. The isolated polyphenols were procyanidin B-4, procyanidin B-2-3,3'-digallate, prodelphinidin C-2-3,3'-di-O-digallate, (+)-catechin-3-O-rhamnose, procyandin B-5, procyanidin B-7-3-0-gallate, gallate, epiafzelechin-$(4{\beta}{\rightarrow}8)$-epiafzelechin, procyanidin B-3-3-O-rhamnose, afzelechin-$(4{\alpha}{\rightarrow}8)$-catechin, prodelphinidin B-5-3,3'-di-O-digallate and (+)-taxifolin-3-O-D-xyloside. The inhibitory effects of prodelphinidin C-2-3,3'-di-O-gallate and procyanidin B-2-3,3'-digallate $(at\;100{\mu}M)$ on angiotensin.converting enzyme were 68.8 and 54.6%, respectively, while the inhibitory effects of prodelphinidin C-2-3,3'-di-O-gallated and procyanidin B-2-3,3'-digallate $(at\;100{\mu}m)$ on xanthine oxidase were 54.5 and 38.2%, respectively. Lastly, the inhibitory activities of prodelphinidin C-2-3,3'-di-O-gallate $(at\;100{\mu}m)$ on tyrosinase was 42.1%.
