The D/H ratio of N2H+ in the inner envelope of YSOs

  • Recent interferometric observations toward embedded protostellar systems show a clear offset between the emission peaks of N2D+ and N2H+. However, the chemical model that con-siders solely freeze-out and desorption from the dust grains could not reproduce the ob-servations. This difference between two spe-cies in the depletion zone might be caused by the reduction of the deuterated molecules, due to the reactions on grain surfaces. We present that the abundance offset between N2H+ and N2D+ can be explained if the chemi-cal model includes the surface chemistry, especially for the deuterated.

국내위성을 위한 경면수정 오프셋 그레고리안 안테나의 설계 (Design of Shaped Offset Gregorian Antennas for Domestic Satellites)

  • 본 논문에서는 향 후 발사될 국내 통신.방송위성의 Ku 밴드 FSS 경면수정 오프셋 그레고리안 안테나를 전기적으로 설계하였다. 이를 위하여 경면수정 오프셋 그레고리안 안테나의 설계과정을 명확하게 하고 이를 이용하여 위성탑재 안테나를 설계하였다. 설계안테나의 복사특성을 평가하여 설계목표와 비교하였다. 설계안테나는 Tx 12.25 GHz에서 빔폭 1.2$^{\circ}$, EOC 이득 38.57 dBi, 이득 43.19 dBi, Rx 14.0 GHz에서 빔폭 1.08$^{\circ}$, EOC 이득 38.12 dBi, 이득 44.11 dBi의 특성을 갖는 것으로 나타났으며, 사이드로브 레벨과 교차편파 레벨도 각각 -30 dB, -33dB 이하로 나타났다. 이상으로부터 설계된 안테나는 국내 위성탑재용 FSS 안테나로 사용될 수 있을 것으로 생각된다.

OFDM 시스템에서의 패킷들의 상관관계를 이용한 주파수 오프셋 예측 알고리즘 (A Frequency Offset Estimation Algorithm using Frequency Offsets Estimated from Previous Packets in OFDM System)

  • 본 논문에서는 패킷기반의 OFDM 무선 통신 시스템에서 주파수 오프셋 예측 결과를 인접한 패킷들의 상관관계를 이용하여 오차를 최소화하는 알고리즘을 제안한다. 제안한 알고리즘은 이전 패킷에서 예측된 주파수 오프셋과 현재 패킷에서 예측한 주파수 오프셋의 신뢰도를 판단하고 가장 높은 신뢰도를 가진 예측치를 선택하여 최종 주파수 오프셋 예측치의 오차를 최소화하였다. 본 논문에서는 IEEE802.11a와 IEEE802.11p의 표준에서 제시한 프리앰블을 훈련심볼로 사용하였다. 실험결과를 통해 제안된 알고리즘은 주파수 오프셋 예측치의 신뢰도를 판단하기 위해 사용하는 비교 패킷의 수에 따라 주파수 오프셋 예측성능의 차이가 있으며, SNR이 비교적 낮은(2dB 이하) 환경일수록 주파수 오프셋 예측성능이 기존 예측 알고리즘보다 우수함을 확인하였다.

Fractional-N Frequency Synthesizer with a l-bit High-Order Interpolative ${\sum}{\Delta}$ Modulator for 3G Mobile Phone Application

  • This paper presents a 18-mW, 2.5-㎓ fractional-N frequency synthesizer with l-bit $4^{th}$-order interpolative delta-sigma ($\Delta{\;}$\sum$)modulator to suppress fractional spurious tones while reducing in-band phase noise. A fractional-N frequency synthesizer with a quadruple prescaler has been designed and implemented in a $0.5-\mu\textrm{m}$ 15-GHz $f_t$ BiCMOS. Synthesizing 2.1 GHzwith less than 200 Hz resolution, it exhibits an in-band phase noise of less than -85 dBc/Hz at 1 KHz offset frequency with a reference spur of -85 dBc and no fractional spurs. The synthesizer also shows phase noise of -139 dBc/Hz at an offset frequency of 1.2 MHz from a 2.1GHz center frequency.

Diminution of Current Measurement Error in Vector Controlled AC Motor Drives

  • The errors generated from current measurement paths are inevitable, and they can be divided into two categories: offset error and scaling error. The current data including these errors cause periodic speed ripples which are one and two times the stator electrical frequency respectively. Since these undesirable ripples bring about harmful influences to motor driving systems, a compensation algorithm must be introduced to the control algorithm of the motor drive. In this paper, a new compensation algorithm is proposed. The signal of the integrator output of the d-axis current regulator is chosen and processed to compensate for the current measurement errors. Usually the d-axis current command is zero or constant to acquire the maximum torque or unity power factor in the ac drive system, and the output of the d-axis current regulator is nearly zero or constant as well. If the stator currents include the offset and scaling errors, the respective motor speed produces a ripple related to one and two times the stator electrical frequency, and the signal of the integrator output of the d-axis current regulator also produces the ripple as the motor speed does. The compensation of the current measurement errors is easily implemented to smooth the signal of the integrator output of the d-axis current regulator by subtracting the DC offset value or rescaling the gain of the hall sensor. Therefore, the proposed algorithm has several features: the robustness in the variation of the mechanical parameters, the application of the steady and transient state, the ease of implementation, and less computation time. The MATLAB simulation and experimental results are shown in order to verify the validity of the proposed current compensating algorithm.

위성통신 단말용 저 위상잡음 주파수 합성기 설계에 관한 연구 (A Study on Low Phase Noise Frequency Synthesizer Design for Satellite Terminal)

  • 본 논문에서 위성통신 단말에 적용할 PLL 주파수 합성기의 잡음 특성을 분석하였고, 주파수 간격(step size)을 작게하면서 저 위상잡음 특성을 갖도록 설계 및 구현하였다. 구현된 주파수 합성기 모듈은 950~1450 MHz 대역에서 -2dBm 이상의 출력을 보였으며, 위상잡음은 10kHz offset에서 -101dBc/Hz로 측정되었다. 주파수 합성기의 위상잡음 특성을 분석한 결과 루프대역 내에서의 위상잡음은 분주기 값을 작게 하기위한 LO의 특성을 따라 감을 알 수 있었다.

  • 본 논문에서는 광전자 밴드갭의 공진 특성을 이용하여 마이크로웨이브 발진기에서 위상잡음을 줄이기 위한 새로운 구조를 제시하였다. 낮은 Q값을 가지고 있는 마이크로스트립 라인 공진기의 접지 면에 PBG 구조를 적용하였다. 그래서 2.4 GHz 대역의 100 KHz offset에서 기존의 마이크로스트립 라인 발진기의 위상잡음 특성에 비해 약 10 dBc 개선시킨 결과를 얻었다. 출력전력은 7.09 dBm을 획득하였다.

QUANTITATIVE DATA TO SHOW EFFECTS OF GEOMETRIC ERRORS AND DOSE GRADIENTS ON DOSE DIFFERENCE FOR IMRT DOSE QUALITY ASSURANCE MEASUREMENTS

  • To quantitatively evaluate how setup errors in conjunction with dose gradients contribute to the error in IMRT dose quality assurance (DQA) measurements. The control group consisted of 5 DQA plans of which all individual field dose differences were less than ${\pm}5%$. On the contrary, the examination group was composed of 16 DQA plans where any individual field dose difference was larger than ${\pm}10%$ even though their total dose differences were less than ${\pm}5%$. The difference in 3D dose gradients between the two groups was estimated in a cube of $6{\times}6{\times}6\;mm^3$ centered at the verification point. Under the assumption that setup errors existed during the DQA measurements of the examination group, a three dimensional offset point inside the cube was sought out, where the individual field dose difference was minimized. The average dose gradients of the control group along the x, y, and z axes were 0.21, 0.20, and 0.15 $cGy{\cdot}mm^{-1}$, respectively, while those of the examination group were 0.64, 0.48, and 0.28 $cGy{\cdot}mm^{-1}$, respectively. All 16 plans of the examination group had their own 3D offset points in the cube. The individual field dose differences recalculated at the offset points were mostly diminished and thus the average values of total and individual field dose differences were reduced from 3.1% to 2.2% and 15.4% to 2.2%, respectively. The offset distribution turned out to be random in the 3D coordinate. This study provided the quantitative data that support the large individual field dose difference mainly stems from possible geometric errors (e.g., random setup errors) under the influence of steep dose gradients of IMRT field.

A Study on the Mixture Formation Process of Evaporating Diesel Spray by Offset Incidence Laser Beam

  • This paper analyzes heterogeneous distribution of branch-like structure at the downstream region of the spray. The liquid and vapor phase of the spray are obtained using a 35㎜ still camera and CCD camera in order to investigate spray structure of evaporating diesel spray. There have been many studies conducted on diesel spray structure but have yet only focused on the analyses of 2-D structure. There are a few information which is concerned with 3-D structure analysis of evaporating spray. The heterogeneous distribution of droplets in inner spray affects the mixture formation of diesel spray and the combustion characteristics of the diesel engines. In this study, the laser beam of 2-D plane was used in order to investigate 3-D structure of evaporating spray The incident laser beam was offset on the central axis of the spray. From the analysis of images taken by offset laser beam, we will examine the formation mechanism of heterogeneous distribution of the diesel spray by vortex flow at the downstream of the spray. The images of liquid and vapor phase of free spray are simultaneously taken through an exciplex fluorescence method. Through this, the branch-like structure consisting of heterogeneous distribution of the droplets forms high concentrated vapor phase at the periphery of droplets and at the spray tip.

통합마스트 적용을 위한 컨포멀 어레이 빔 합성 기법에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Conformal Array Beam Synthesis Technique for Integrated Mast Application)

  • 본 논문에서는 컨포멀 어레이(Conformal Array) 빔 합성 기법에 관한 연구를 수행하였다. 일반적인 선형 배열에서의 빔 조향에 따른 성능 열화 없이 빔 조향을 수행할 수 있는 컨포멀 어레이는 다양한 레이다 시스템에 적용되고 있다. 평면형 선형 배열에서의 빔 합성 기법과 달리 컨포멀 배열은 곡면상에 복사소자가 위치하므로 복사소자별로 파면(Wave Front)까지의 위상을 보상해 주어야 한다. 또한 복사소자별 옵셋 각도(Offset Angle)를 계산하여 실제 q빔 합성 시 적용함으로서 정확한 빔 패턴을 예측할 수 있었다. 본 논문에서는 위상 보상 및 옵셋 각도를 계산하여 빔 패턴 합성 시 적용한 후 빔 패턴 비교를 수행하였으며, 수학적인 분석을 통해 성능을 비교하였다.
