In order to raise people with mathematical power and positive attitude toward mathematics fit for the 21st century, individual students should be provided with equal learning opportunities according to their ability and level, and the need of such mathematics education is even stronger for underachievers. As textbooks were considered the optimal learning materials at each stage, this study purposed to examine changes in students' mathematical learning abilities and mathematical tendency brought by the activities of analyzing and reviewing the textbooks of the previous grades. The subjects of this study were 5 mathematics underachievers from 3 fifth grade classes at D Elementary School. They were sampled from those who were selected based on the results of diagnostic assessment and the records at the end of April and gave their consent to participation in this study. For the sampled children, their current state was surveyed first, and then the experimental classes were given twice a week and a total of 32 sessions. The children judged their mathematical abilities through reviewing the textbooks from the 1st grade to the 4th grade, and studied the textbook of each stage by themselves. After the self study, they had the textbook contents review activity that extracted 10 problems considered important per semester, and the textbook analysis activity that grouped units in each stage according to relevancy, identified similarities and differences, and examined hierarchy. From the results of this study was found that the mathematics underachiever teaching method using the textbooks of the previous grades gives mathematics underachievers confidence in their abilities, strengthens mathematical connection, and develops the habits of exploring key contents through self study.

In the 21st century, as the emergence of the age of creative economy is expected, interest in the cultivation of creative talents required in society around the world is newly rising. Sustainable development education should not be limited to school education, but should be promoted and supported at all social education sites for the purpose of lifelong education. Therefore, the purpose of this paper is to consider the relationship between the possibility of formal and informal learning and the development of capacity in higher education. Exploratory and qualitative research based on intensive groups was designed using several groups of formal and informal learning settings. In China, the creation of a creative economy is set as a major national policy direction for the new government. What is required for talented people in the creative economy era and how to educate them is becoming a major policy issue. The development of core competencies requires multiple contexts based on cognitive non-cognitive disposition. By combining the formal and informal learning environment within higher education for the purpose of a new learning culture, it can provide a variety of situations and improve competency development. While this study can identify aspects of formal and informal learning settings, the interdependencies between them are still difficult to grasp. However, practical implications can be seen clearly. In other words, based on the results, you can point out key aspects of competency acquisition that can be a key element in the higher education environment. As a result, this study analyzed implications for formal and informal learning environments for new ways of developing core competencies in higher education.
Recently, the food industry has evolved into a new and innovative trend according to its globalization and change of food consumption patterns. However, it is hard for the traditional food industry in Korea to meet the changing consumers' needs because of its poorer quality control and lower industrialization technology than other advanced industries. Also the knowledges acquired through a lot of time and efforts would be lost after the human resources with tacit knowledges leave by their too much aging. Especially, the 21st century would be called as knowledge based society which means that knowledge be the important contributing factor in the economic growth. In this regard, this study aimed at proposing the knowledge based system for systematically managing or preserving knowledges of Mosisongpyun industry in Yeonggwang County to seek for the sustainable development of the traditional food industry in Korea. The knowledge based system of Mosisongpyun industry in Yeonggwang County is finally proposed as follows; First, hardware is composed with the necessary unit facilities such as interpretive center, learning and experience room, library, etc. And the integrating facilities such as Mosisongpyun theme park, traditional village, and knowledge industrialization support center are proposed. Second, software is composed with the necessary unit softwares such as the preservation manual of traditional knowledge and skill, web-site administrator, development of graded textbooks, development database software, etc. And the integrating softwares such as development of innovation and management ability in Mosisongpyun industry are proposed. Third, humanware is composed with the necessary unit programs such as exhibition, own training program, incubator support system, etc. And the integrating programs such as the farm association corporation, the testing and research institute, the institution of learning and training are proposed.

In this study, we propose a learning method that can be extended to take advantage of the knowledge of the various disciplines in the project related to the subject to perform the process of restoring stork. The development program is grade 3.4 Group 4 class hours, grade 5.6 Group 4 class hours, total 8 class hours, and in each class hour, it was designed to be extended such creativity, problem solving skills, communication skills and ability to learn, based on knowledge and concepts of the elementary curriculum related to storks. Content validity was verified using a method consisting of 12 experts to verify the validity of the program. Feasibility evaluation of Lawshe (1975) content validity ratio for the analysis: we used (Content Validity Ratio CVR) calculation formula. As a result of a feasibility study in total 8 class hours, It was analyzed that match with the development effect except for program of grade 3.4 group 4 class hours. grade 3.4 group 4 class hours program was raised this issue for the academic linkage region, was fixed. Later, It is necessary to measure the degree of learning skills improves effectiveness by applying it to the elementary school students in the proposed research program.

It is known that the smart education has a positive impact of critical thinking skills and problem solving, communication and collaboration, creativity and innovation in the 21st century. However, some people concern about the adverse effects of smart education such as smart devices addiction and health problems. In this study, we conducted the adverse effects of education using smart devices on students. The questionnaire survey was conducted and analyzed for students in 9 schools at A city(four elementary schools, three middle schools, two high schools) that are receiving smart education. The types of adverse effects of smart education includes smartphone addiction, lack of information ethics, health problems, and lack of social and learning ability. We showed the differences each item compared among elementary school, middle school and high school about adverse effects of smart education. The result of survey didn't have any adverse affect of smart education such as internet addiction or smartphone addiction. However in order to protect the copyright, the school needs to fight against indiscriminated downloads and perform the information ethics education. Plus we surely need to be more open-minded in reading and exercise at school and home.

Computing thinking is regarded as one of the important skills required in the 21st century, and many countries have introduced and implemented computing thinking training courses. Among computational thinking education methods, educational game-based methods increase student participation and motivation, and increase access to computational thinking. Autothinking is an educational game developed for the purpose of providing computational thinking education to learners. It is an adaptive system that dynamically provides feedback to learners and automatically adjusts the difficulty according to the learner's computational thinking ability. However, because the game was designed based on rules, it cannot intelligently consider the computational thinking of learners or give feedback. In this study, game data collected through Autothikning is introduced, and game score prediction that reflects computational thinking is performed in order to increase the adaptability of the game by using it. To solve this problem, a comparative study was conducted on linear regression, decision tree, random forest, and support vector machine algorithms, which are most commonly used in regression problems. As a result of the study, the linear regression method showed the best performance in predicting game scores.

Objectives : Integrative medicine in Korea is the 21st century-style medical practice of two orthodox medical doctrines, traditional Korean medicine and western conventional medicine, as well as complementary and alternative medicine (CAM). CAM with scientific evidence should be incorporated in undergraduate curricula for the purpose of Korean integrative medicine. Methods : Items of detailed objectives, syllabi, textbooks, instructor's experiences, and effectiveness and reason for difficulty of the CAM curriculum for undergraduate students were analyzed and the preference of CAM therapies and others were also evaluated. Results and Discussion : The effectiveness of this CAM class curriculum was high (8.0$\pm$1.4) enough to be used in other Oriental medical colleges. Development of ability for self-study was rated as 7.0$\pm$1.7 and the helpfulness for clinical use was marked as 6.8$\pm$1.9. Students preferred placebo, Ayurveda, aromatherapy, yoga, functional food, bio-feedback and homeopathy. The difficulty degree was 7.2$\pm$1.6, and the amount of content was suggested as the major reason for it. We also found that this curriculum can be a model for self-oriented study and problem-based learning. Discussions were made for the improvement of the implemented CAM curriculum, which was shown to be very effective for the achievement of Korean integrative medicine. Conclusion : We have successfully installed a CAM curriculum for undergraduate students at the College of Oriental Medicine, and it can be used in others.
The basic direction of mathematical education for the 21st century is focused on helping student to understand mathematics and developing their problem solving abilities, mathematical disposition and mathematical thinking. Elementary mathematics teachers should help students make sense of mathematics, confident of their ability, and make learning environment comfortable for students to participate in. Through making activities 1 to 100 with digits 1,9,9,6, students improved the interest and preference of students about mathematics. This game is useful to foster students' mathematical thinking(concepts of exponential number expression, roots concept(${\sqrt}$), gauss function([])) and mathematical disposition. If students are helped to be interested in mathematics through mathematical games, they regard mathematics as interesting and challengeable subject to let themselves think many ways.
In a globalization and information society in the 21st century, the emphasis of education is on producing people who can create intellectual value. To meet the purpose in mathematics education, students should be taught to be able to understand basic logics and principles and exchange mathematical information each other. Also they had better be guided to study on their own at home in an effective way. In reality, however, most of the home study does not go beyond confirming the same homework. It is very difficult for students to plan systematic preparation and review of their lessons and study on their own. Moreover there seems to be no integration between the lessons students receive at school and in private classes. Therefore the need for more systematic home study in relation to school lessons is high to maximize the teaming effect. Studying through Web has little restriction in terms of time and space. Students can collect useful information inexpensively and share their learning assignment with each other. But mathematics education through Web has not yet been developed in such a way as to see a positive result from it. This research intends to develop a web site where students can study mathematics systematically in a self-guided way. The research methods applied included survey, student discussion and online home study. The questionnaires were designed to figure out students'and parents'changes in their concept of mathematics home study. The research also tried to look for ways to cut down the burden of expensive private lessons in mathematics. The student discussions were made up of problem-making and problem-solving. The discussion procedure was analysed so as to check if students used their creativity while they were working. As stated above, the research aims to develop a web site to support effective home study, enhance students' mathematical ability and reduce the burden of private lessons.

Various studies have been conducted on cloud observation using all-sky images acquired with a wide-angle camera system since the early 21st century, but it is judged that an automatic observation system that can completely replace the eye observation has not been obtained. In this study, to verify the quantification of cloud observation, which is the final step of the algorithm proposed to automate the observation, the cloud distribution of the all-sky image and the corrected image were compared and analyzed. The reason is that clouds are formed at a certain height depending on the type, but like the retina image, the center of the lens is enlarged and the edges are reduced, but the effect of human learning ability and spatial awareness on cloud observation is unknown. As a result of this study, the average cloud observation error of the all-sky image and the corrected image was 1.23%. Therefore, when compared with the eye observation in the decile, the error due to correction is 1.23% of the observed amount, which is very less than the allowable error of the eye observation, and it does not include human error, so it is possible to collect accurately quantified data. Since the change in cloudiness due to the correction is insignificant, it was confirmed that accurate observations can be obtained even by omitting the unnecessary correction step and observing the cloudiness in the pre-correction image.
