The purpose of this study was to examine and fully understand the transformation of female's ideal beauty through time based on word analysis. Word selection was made from the very exemplary Women's magazines : Yuhwon, Jubu-Saengwhal, and Yuhsung-Dongah. Further, in order to research the understanding of female's ideal beauty, a random research was done on 445 women, ranging from the ages 20's through 60's. From the result, a frequency analysis was performed to further analyze the meaning of ideal beauty to each sector of the age groups for different time periods : the 1980's and the 1990's. To the 20's, beauty awareness was defined by the word ‘intelligence’, however, the 1980's endorsed confidence with composure and calmness where as the 1990's preferred beauty to be defined by ‘refinement and goal oriented’. The 30's selected ‘individuality’ marked with confidence in character, but there was a shift from ‘mature intelligence’ in the 1980's to ‘professionalism’ in the 1990's. The 40'E chose mediocrity and commonness, however, likewise, a sense of ‘earnestness’ for life and family was looked upon as beautiful. For the 50's, comfort with a reserved tenure was frequently noted and for the 60's, women chose ‘health and independence’ as describing ideal beauty. The results from the research are justifiable because the articles are in a neutral perspective and are from the representative women's magazines. This research proved that the younger the age group, the more exterior beauty was considered, as opposed to the older generation who found inner beauty to be of most importance.

Design has been proceeding to 21 century undertaking the many-sided and complicated characteristics of the modern industrialized society much more heavily comparing to past. The rapid change of technology and media of communication faces the new concept of relationship between users and environment, and newly developed material leads designers to change the way of building concept and the process of designing. Especially the important points of user-friendly and environment-friendly approaching for designing influences over choosing, controlling meterials and forming the structure and shape organically, or simply. From the tendency of chairs designed in 1990s the very adaptable new material shows both the unlimited possibility for new design is in the turn of this century, but also it can be analogized that 'the design which can make users think' will be the philosophical basis for future desigv.

The purpose of this study is to dlassify into types of traditionality reflected in modern Korean houses in 1990's designed by architec Modern houses were divided into five types through qualitative analysis. Analysis is categorized into three parts, space-pl structural elements ornamental elements. Characteristics of each type were defined as 'Indicative expression of the traditionalit', 'Decorative expression of the traditionality', 'Eclectic expression of the traditionality', 'Contemporary expression of the traditionalit', 'Abstract expression of the traditionality'. The results showed that 'Contemporary or Abstract expression of traditionality(type IV and V) were major types of modern Korean houses expressed traditionality. This reveals that in order to apply traditionality to the modern houses, simplifed and sbstracted for were preferred comparing with the direct imitation of traditional forms.

Applying the globalization theory to the fashion phenomena which regarded the phenomena of the contemporary culture as globalization, this study had an object of looking into the globalization tendency of the fashion phenomena shown Paris, London, Milno, New York, Tokyo, and Seoul collections from 1995 to 1999. The results of this study were as follows; 1. It was the blend of romanticism that was the most common trend shown at the six world collections. 2. The works appeared at the six world collections showed the regional peculiarity under the historical background or the sociocultural influence each city had. 3. Another character appeared at the six city collections was the appearance of multi-ethnic style mixed various regional motive at a work. After all, the world fashion phenomena in the second half of 1990's could be condensed into globalization appeared homogenization, regionalization and hybridization at the same time.

This study investigated aesthetic characters of textile design on the modern fashion in 1990s. 1. Spiritual desolation caused by modern society of high-technology made people be interested in ethnic image. 2. It was expressed aesthetic beauty by application of various kinds of art for more new and creative designs. 3. Resistance against environmental pollution or ecosystem destruction caused by scientific technology and industrial development pursed ecology, so lots of natural patterns were used. 4. It was persued beauty of simplicity and visual angels by using geometrical graphism. 5. Self-consciousness or resistance of period was expressed by deconstructive symbol. Accordingly, textile design is expressed related to the trend of modern fashion, the current thought of the times, social phenomenon and art. So we need various analysis on above factors. Then, it will be helpful to develope the creative and distinguished fashion design.

This paper aims to introduce the background history and development of records management in brief prior to and after the 1990s based on the records life cycle. This paper also explains the development of electronic document imaging systems and shifts to ERM systemsin the 1990s. The paper explains functional requirements in archival management and software application standards suggested by the industry of electronic records management. The paper concludes with providing problems and issues associated with software design in electronic records management for further development.

From 1990s, the lunar exploration programs, suspended over 20 years after the project Apollo's first successful human landing on the Moon in 1969, have been restarted according to a revived interest in Moon. In recent, several nations progress their own lunar exploration program successfully. In this report, to investigate the technical trends of the onboard propulsion system for the lunar orbiter, technical features related to the performance of the propulsion system of the lunar orbiters developed since 1990 are surveyed. In the future, it is expected that this technical report can provide a fundamental guideline for selecting a proper type of the onboard propulsion system for the domestic lunar orbiter.

This study focused on situational simularity of psychedelic expressed in the mid-1960s with culture including costume in the end of 20th century. So this study is composed of psychedelic concept and the comparision of temporal background and general characteristics of psychedelia in the 1960s and 1990s and relationship with Art-Nouveau which has originated psychedelia and psycheelic image including mysticism play illusionism and narcissism. The New psychedelic revival of the early 1980s came at a time when as in the mid-1960s the world's attentions were firmly focused on British youth. The same could be said of the mid-1990s when 'BriPop' once again has international appeal and the result has been a kind of New New Psychedelic revival with all manner of British youth styles from the 1960s blended together.
