The Study of the 160Ah Ni-MH battery for Diesel Engine Starting (디젤 엔진 시동을 위한 160Ah급 니켈 수소(Ni-MH) 축전지)

  • For this study, a 160Ah Ni-MH battery is produced with parallel arranged two 80Ah Ni-MH batteries as an unit, in order to start diesel generator(engine) in place of Lead Acid battery or Ni-cd battery which contain indicated toxic pollutant of Environmental pollution, by high capacity Ni-MH battery. And the ternary electrolyte recipe is requested to develop proper electrodes of the 160Ah Ni-MH battery, and then the 160Ah battery can be tested at high rate discharging performance. Zn is added to negative electrode for the improvement of performance. 160Ah Ni-MH battery has been tested in various experiments for diesel engine starting. As the result, diesel engine starting is found successfully.

  • In order to use railway system standby power, produced 160Ah NiMH battery that would be able to substitute the lead acid battery or NiCd battery form which contain the toxic material in environment, using parallel connected 80Ah NiMH battery. And in order to develop proper electrode in the 160Ah NiMH battery, tested high rate discharge performance of the ternary electrolyte. 160Ah NiMH battery evaluated the various test in order to use railway system standby power.

  • 코로나 19로 인한 사회적 거리 두기가 계속되면서 온라인 쇼핑을 이용하는 고객이 증가했다. 그중 원활한 소통이 가능한 라이브 커머스 시장이 크게 성장했다. 모바일 기기만 있으면 시간과 장소의 제약 없이 라이브 커머스를 이용할 수 있지만 제한된 정보제공과 장애인을 위한 서비스가 없다는 것이 단점이다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 다양한 정보를 제공하기 위한 멀티뷰 화면을 송출하고 TTS, 딥러닝 기반의 STT 기술을 활용해 시·청각 장애인을 위한 기능을 포함한 새로운 형태의 라이브 커머스 플랫폼 및 시스템 구조를 제안한다.

  • Large plastic Li-ion (PLI) cells (25 to 28-Ah) were fabricated for an EV application. The 28-Ah cells showed high specific energy (160 Wh/kg), high specific power (526 W/g), excellent round-trip energy efficiency $(92\%)$, and low self-discharge rate ($6\%$ in 30 days). A 25-Ah cell of an earlier design showed good cycle life of up to 750 cycles at $100\%$ DOD to $80\%$ of its initial capacity, while cycle life test of a 28-Ah cell of a later design is in progress. Preliminary safety tests were also carried out using 6-Ah cells of a similar electrode design giving very encouraging results for development of a safe hish-energy density PLI battery for EV application.

  • To fabricate a full-scale pilot model of the cost-effective Na-(Ni,Fe)Cl2 cell, a Na-beta-alumina solid electrolyte (BASE) was developed by applying a one-step synthesis cum sintering process as an alternative to the conventional solid-state reaction process. Also, Fe metal powder, which is cheaper than Ni, was mixed with Ni metal powder, and was used for cathode material to reduce the cost of raw material. As a result, we then developed a prototype Na-(Ni,Fe)Cl2 cell. Consequently, the Ni content in the Na-(Ni,Fe)Cl2 cell is decreased to approximately (20 to 50) wt.%. The #1 prototype cell (dimensions: 34 mm × 34 mm × 235 mm) showed a cell capacity of 15.9 Ah, and 160.3 mAh g-1 (per the Ni-Fe composite), while the #2 prototype cell (dimensions: 50 mm × 50 mm × 335 mm) showed a cell capacity of 49.4 Ah, and 153.2 mAh g-1 at the 2nd cycle.

  • $ZrV_{0.1}Mn_{0.7}Ni_{1.2}$ alloy ingot (bulk alloy) made by the arc melting was found to be consisting of mostly of $ZrV_{0.2}Mn_{0.98}Ni_{1.04}$ matrix alloy and $ZrV_{0.01}Mn_{0.13}Ni_{1.2}$ 2nd phase alloy. The former alloy had the form of the C15 type Laves alloy structure and the latter one had the intermetallic compound structure of $Zr_9Ni_{11}$. In order to investigate the effect of these two phases on the electrochemical charge-discharge characteristics of bulk $ZrV_[0.1}Mn_0.7}Ni_{1.2}$ alloy, the matrix and the 2nd phase alloys were fabricated separately by arc melting method and their electrochemical characteristics were studied and compared with the bulk alloy. It was found that the discharge capacity was the lowest of 160 mAh/g in the 2nd phase alloy. The matrix alloy exhibited 200 mAh/g. Both were lower than that of the bulk alloy of 250 mAh/g. The matrix and the bulk alloys showed a similar properties in the activation stage, the high rate dischargeability and the self discharge characteristics. Also a signigicant capacity decrease was observed after activation in both alloys. Whereas the 2nd phase alloy showed the very different characteristics. This alloy was found to be difficult to activate. However the capacity was remained constant after the activation. Also the self discharge rate was seen to be better than those of the matrix and the bulk alloys.

Quality Characteristics of Yackwa Baked and Dipping with Goami Powder (굽기와 집청 조건에 따른 고아미 구운 약과의 품질 특성에 미치는 영향)

  • The quality characteristics of yackwa made with goami powder at different baking temperatures (150, 160, 170, 180) and baking times (15, 20, 25 min) and at different dipping temperatures (65 and $80^{\circ}C$) and dipping times (15 and 30 min) were evaluated. To determine the optimal temperature and time for yackwa containing goami powder, color values, preference color and pictures were determind. The baking temperatures were $150^{\circ}C$ for 25 min, $160^{\circ}C$ for 15 min and 20 min, and $170^{\circ}C$ for 15 min. The weight of yackwa was heavier at low dipping temperatures and long dipping times. L-values and b-values were the highest at short dipping times. Hardness, moisture and overall preference was the lowest at low dipping temperatures and long dipping times.

  • ELVs (End-of-Vehicles) in Korea incrasease continusely because of increase of used car. Automobile Shredder Residue (ASR) is final product of ELVs (End-of-Vehicles) after recycling. Automobile Shredder Residue are composed of light and heavy fluffs and soil/dust. In this study, 5 ton/day pilot plant of shaft type has been designed and constructed and 15 times of test run were performed. For the stable operation, operation conditions such as the amount of fed ASR and cokes, air flow and temperature in the gasification melting system have been changed and the composition of the produced gas such as $H_2$, CO and $CH_4$ and air pollution compound including dioxin discharged from the stack have been analyzed.
