  • In this paper, the creep behavior of bolted rock was analyzed by using the unconfined creep tests and the numerical results. Based on the test results, the Bolted Burgers creep model (B-B model) was proposed to clarify the creep mechanism of rock mass due to rock bolts. As to the simulation of the creep behaviour of bolted rock, a new user-defined incremental iterative format of the B-B model was established and the open-source $FLAC^{3D}$ code was written by using the object-oriented language (C++). To check the reliability of the present B-B creep constitutive model program, a numerical model of a tunnel with buried depth of 1000 m was established to analyze the creep response of the tunnel with the B-B model support, the non-support and the bolt element support. The simulation results show that the present B-B model is consistent with the calculated results of the inherent bolt element in $FLAC^{3D}$, and the convergence deformation can be more effectively controlled when the proposed B-B model is used in the $FLAC^{3D}$ software. The big advantage of the present B-B creep model secondarily developed in the $FLAC^{3D}$ software is the high computational efficiency.

  • In order to improve the microstructure of the strip cast Nd-Fe-B alloys that are frequently used for production of high energy sintered magnets, influence of various strip casting conditions on the microstructure and phase formation and distribution were investigated. Nd-Fe-B strips consisting of microstructures suitable for preparation of high energy sintered magnets could be obtained when the wheel speed was below 5 m/s. The compositional limit that can avoid the crystallization of free iron in the as-cast state was estimated to be Nd$\_$14/Fe$\_$79/B$\_$7/. Regardless of the compositional variation, <001> preferred orientation of Nd$_2$Fe$\_$14/B normal to the strip surface was always occurred below 5 m/s, which would eventually enhance the grain alignment during pressing the powder under a magnetic field. While the coercivity of the strip cast alloys increased with the increase of the wheel speed, mainly due to the refinement of Nd$_2$Fe$\_$14/B grains, it decreased with the reduction of Nd content in the alloy composition as the formation of free iron increased.

  • In this paper, we have evaluated BER performance of digital subscriber line(DSL) using the twisted-pair channel model by means of Semi-analytic simulation technique. As a result, it was known that the Semi-analytic simulation was proved to be a good technique because of the attenuation of 0.5dB. To keep the BER=10$\^$-7/, 4dB of E$\^$b//N$\^$0/ is needed more when the DSL length extends to 5000m, while 2dB increase of E$\^$b//N$\^$0/ is required when Nyquist frequency goes to 512kb/s with the keeping same distance. In addition, the effect by FEXT noise is serious, when the FEXT noise damping constant, k is over 10/sup-10/ in DSL length and 10$\^$-14/ in the aspect of Nyquist frequency. As the basic, results of this analysis can be used in setting in internal and external standardization of DSL system in the future.

  • In this paper, the noise pressure propagated in the air on account of the engine revolution of a stern trawler, Sae-Ba-Da(G. T. 2275.71) was measured at the check points No.1 through No.43 when the vessel was cruising, towing nets, and drifting. The experiment was carried out in the period from August 23 to October 22, 1978 at the locations of lat. $33^{\circ}$ 47'N, long. $127^{\circ}$ 34'E; lat. $34^{\circ}$ 24'N, long. $128^{\circ}$ 23'E; and lat. $6^{\circ}$ 01'N, long. $108^{\circ}$ 04'E. In case of cruising, noise on the weather deck came from funnel noise. The highest noise pressure was 92dB at observation point No.9 where tile noise pressure from main engine was 105dB when the engine was operated at 730rpm and $12^{\circ}$ sorely propeller pitch. The noise measured was reduced to 90dB at observation point No.9 when the screw propeller pitch was changed to $8^{\circ}$ that resulted in reduction of engine to 103dB. In case of towing net, the main engine revolution and screw propeller pitch was fixed at 730rpm and $8^{\circ}$ respectively. But the engine noise pressure was increased up to 106dB due to the towing resistance by 14 tons of the nets, and the noise pressure was 90dB at No.9 point. A hight noise was also generated from screw because of the towing reoistance and could be measurable even in the wall of the insulated freezing room. When the vessel was drifting: the noise pressure from the generator operated, at 720rpm was 100dB. This caused 87dB noise pressure at No.9 point. The noise pressure in the boarding or residence sections was 45 to 60dB in each case of cruisinrg towing net or drifting but it was so high as 82dB on the open deck that voice could hardly be heap.

  • This paper presents compact dual-band WLAN filter and filter module. They were developed by embedding all of the passive lumped elements into a LTCC substrate. In order to reduce the size/volume of the filter and avoid EM parasitic couplings between the passive elements, the proposed filter was designed using a 3rd order Chebyshev circuit topology and J-inverter transformation technology. The 3rd order Chebyshev bandpass filter was firstly designed for the band-selection of the 802.11b and was then transformed using finite transmission zeros technologies. Finally, the dual-band filter was realized by adding two notch resonators to the 802.11b filter circuit for the band-selection of the 802.11a/g. The maximum insertion losses in the lower and higher passbands were better than 2.0 and 1.3 dB with minimum return losses of 15 and 14 dB, respectively. Furthermore, the filter was integrated with a diplexer to clearly split the signals between 2 and 5 GHz. The maximum insertion and minimum return losses of the fabricated module were 2.2 and 14 dB at 2.4 - 2.5 GHz, and 1.6 and 19 dB at 5.15 - 5.85 GHz, respectively. The overall volume of the fabricated filter was $2.7{\times}2.3{\times}0.59mm^3$.

  • The 14-membered tetraaza macrocyclic ligand 1,8-diethyl-5,12-dimethyl-1,4,8,11-tetraazacyclote tradeca-4,11-diene(B) can be synthesized as its dihydroperchlorate salt by the one-pot reaction of 2-ethylaminoethylamine, methylvinyl ketone, and perchloric acid in absolute ethanol. The reaction of Ni(II) or Cu(II) ion and the salt yields $[M(B)]^{2+}$ (M = Ni(II) or Cu(II)), which reacts with $NaBH_4$ to produce $[M(D)]^{2+}$ (D = 1,8-diethyl-5,12-dimethyl-1,4,8,11-tetraazacyclote tradecane). The complexes $[M(L)]^{2+}$ (L = B or D) have planar geometry and contain two ethyl groups at the donor nitrogen atoms of the ligands. The red solids $[Cu(B)](X)_2(X)$ = $ClO_4-$ or $PF_6^-$) react with water molecules of atmospheric moisture to produce the purple solids in which water molecules are coordinated to the metal ion. Synthesis, characterization, and the properties of the new N-ethylated macrocyclic ligands and their Ni(II) and Cu(II) complexes are reported.

  • This paper describes realization of digital filter using $\mu$p controler and discusses measured characteristics of this filter, The idea of P. L. implementation[1] is used in realization, and in this system we utilize a DMA and arithmatic control program of $\mu$p. In this way, we can get more flexible capability than the basic PL method, and higher speed than a filter using general purpose $\mu$p in hardware, Furthermore, we get a 15 KHz sampling frequency(fs) as speed limit in real time processing, and know that this limitation is restricted by execution time (58$\mu$ sec) of DMA control statement. As for filter charateristics, maximum stop band frequencies (fsp) are 1665 Hz, 1445 Hz in Butterworth and Tchebichef approximation, respectively, when fs = 14 KHz. Measured errors between the design specification and the actual result are 0.2dB, 0.1 dB in pass band (when cufoff frequency is 500Hz),-1.1dB (when fsp is 1000Hz), 0.4dB(when fsp is 750 Hz) in stop band frequency of Butterworth and Tchebichef, respectively.
