Study on the Affects and Specifications of Repeaters in 1xEVDO Networks (1xEVDO 서비스망에서 이동통신 중계기가 미치는 영향 및 규격연구)

  • 본 논문은 기존에 사용하고 있는 음성 및 저속데이타 서비스용 이동통신 중계기가 초고속 무선 데이터 서비스용 1xEVDO서비스에서도 적합한지 그리고 중계기 전송 특성상 문제가 있는 부분이 있다면 규격을 어떻게 개정할 것인지에 대한 연구에 관한 것이다. 우선 기존에 KTF무선망에 설치되어 있는 이동통신 중계기에 대해 종류별로 선정하여 중계기를 통한 1xEV-DO신호의 전송특성이 얼마나 열화되는지를 현장시험 하였다. 측정결과 대부분의 이동통신 중계기에서 출력된 1xEV-DO신호 전송률이 1xEV-DO BTS에서 직접 출력된 신호의 데이터 전송률에 비해 데이터 전송률이 거의 저하되지 않는 정도의 특성을 보인 반면 몇몇 이동통신 중계기는 그보다 훨씬 큰 10%의 데이터 전송률이 저하되는 특성을 보였다. 데이터 전송률에서 많은 특성 저하를 나타내는 이동통신 중계기의 특성을 분석하여 그에 해당된 규격을 개정하였고, 그 규격에 적합한 중계시스템을 개발하여 동일한 시험을 수행한 결과 그렇지 못한중계기들에 비해 많은 특성 향상을 보여주는 것을 알 수 있었다.

컬러복사기·복합기의 호조에 힘입어 2007년까지 플러스 성장 지속

  • (사)비즈니스기계·정보시스템 산업협회(JBMIA)에 따르면, 일본 및 세계 경제환경이 실질 GDP 플러스성장이 이어지면서 사무기기의 일본내 출하 금액은 컬러복사기·복합기가 순조롭게 나아가 2006년에 6410억 엔(전년비101.6%), 2007년에 6571억 엔(동 102.5%)의 견조한 신장을 나타낼 것으로 예측된다. 사무기기의 해외 출하금액은 일본과 마찬가지로 컬러복사기·복합기의 호조에 힘입어 2006년에 1조2486억 엔(전년비 103.1%), 2007년에 1조2911억 엔(동 103.4%)으로 예측했다. 이 결과 향후 2년간의 사무기계 총 출하금액은 2006년이 1조8895억엔(전년비 102.6%), 2007년이 1조9482억 엔(동 103.1%)으로 예측되며, 2조엔 규모를 목전에 두고 있다.

A 10-bit 10-MS/s 0.18-㎛ CMOS Asynchronous SAR ADC with split-capacitor based differential DAC (분할-커패시터 기반의 차동 디지털-아날로그 변환기를 가진 10-bit 10-MS/s 0.18-㎛ CMOS 비동기 축차근사형 아날로그-디지털 변환기)

  • This paper describes a 10-bit 10-MS/s asynchronous successive approximation register (SAR) analog-to-digital converter (ADC) using a split-capacitor-based differential digital-to-analog converter (DAC). SAR logic and comparator are asynchronously operated to increase the sampling frequency. The time-domain comparator with an offset calibration technique is used to achieve a high resolution. The proposed 10-bit 10-MS/s asynchronous SAR ADC with the area of $140{\times}420{\mu}m^2$ is fabricated using a 0.18-${\mu}m$ CMOS process. Its power consumption is 1.19 mW at 1.8 V supply. The measured SNDR is 49.95 dB for the analog input frequency of 101 kHz. The DNL and INL are +0.57/-0.67 and +1.73/-1.58, respectively.

The fabrication of a coaxial line impedance transformer with low transmission loss and wideband operation range (저손실 광대역 동작 특성을 가지는 동축 선로 임피던스 변환기 제작)

  • The coaxial line impedance transformer that performs impedance conversion using the coupling of two or more coaxial lines of the same length is often used for impedance matching in the low frequency region due to many advantages. This paper measures the phase and magnitude characteristics of each coaxial line in a 4:1 coaxial line impedance transformer using two 100mm coaxial lines. This experiment shows that it is more effective to make the length of the auxiliary coaxial line shorter than the main coaxial line by about 5 mm in order to realize a low loss impedance transformer. In addition, it measures the transmission characteristics by directly connecting a 4:1 impedance transformer and a 1:4 impedance transformer. This experiment shows that it is effective to connect a 1pF capacitor between the ground and the outer conductor input point of the main coaxial line in order to increase the operating frequency range.

인공위성용 태양전력 조절기의 병렬운전을 위한 전류제어 방식

  • 태양전력 조절기는 태양전지에서 전력을 생성하여 배터리를 충전하고 인공위성의 모든 부하에 전력을 공급하는 역할을 한다. 이러한 태양전력 조절기는 신뢰성 확보와 대전류 처리를 위해 병렬운전한다. 병렬운전 시 전류가 각 태양전력 조절기에 균등하게 분배되지 않을 경우, 한 태양전력 조절기에만 과도한 전류가 흐르게 되고 해당 태양전력 조절기에 문제가 발생한다. 따라서 병렬운전 하는 각 태양전지 조절기에 전류를 균등하게 분배하기 위해 전류 제어기가 필요하다. 전류 제어 방식에는 Inner Loop방식과 Outer Loop 방식이 있다. Inner Loop방식은 전류 제어기가 태양전력 조절기의 전류를 제어하고, 전류 제어기의 기준 전압을 외부의 전압 제어기가 제어하는 방식이다. 한편, Outer Loop 방식은 전압 제어기가 태양전력 조절기의 전압을 제어하고, 전압 제어기의 기준 전압에 태양전력 조절기의 전류 정보를 더하여 전압을 제어하면서 간접적으로 전류를 제어하는 방식이다. 한편, 태양전지는 전압과 전류가 강한 비선형성 관계를 가지므로 태양전지의 동작점에 따라 태양전력 조절기의 소신호 특성이 변화하고, 이는 전류제어기 안정도에 심각한 영향을 미친다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 태양전지의 각 동작점에 관계없이 전류 제어기가 안정적으로 태양전력 조절기의 전류분배를 수행할 수 있도록 Inner Loop방식과 Outer Loop방식의 전류 제어기를 해석하고 두 방식을 비교한다.

A $2{\sim}6GHz$ Wide-band CMOS Frequency Synthesizer With Single LC-tank VCO (싱글 LC-탱크 전압제어발진기를 갖는 $2{\sim}6GHz$의 광대역 CMOS 주파수 합성기)

  • This paper describes a $2{\sim}6GHz$ CMOS frequency synthesizer that employs only one LC-tank voltage controlled oscillator (VCO). For wide-band operation, optimized LO signal generator is used. The LC-tank VCO oscillating in $6{\sim}8GHz$ provides the required LO frequency by dividing and mixing the VCO output clocks appropriately. The frequency synthesizer is based on a fractional-N phase locked loop (PLL) employing third-order 1-1-1 MASH type sigma-delta modulator. Implemented in a $0.18{\mu}m$ CMOS technology, the frequency synthesizer occupies the area of $0.92mm^2$ with of-chip loop filter and consumes 36mW from a 1.8V supply. The PLL is completed in less than $8{\mu}s$. The phase noise is -110dBC/Hz at 1MHz offset from the carrier.

An X-band Low Phase Noise MMIC Oscillator Using a Planar-Type MMIC Resonator (평면형 MMIC 공진기를 이용한 낮은 위상잡음을 갖는 X 대역 MMIC 발진기)

  • In this paper an X-band low phase noise HBT oscillator using a planar type MMIC resonator is designed. The chip area of the proposed resonator shows a quarter of the conventional hair-pin resonator using distributed transmission lines. The measurement results show oscillation frequency of 8.295 GHz, the power output of 4.8 dBm, and phase noise characteristic of -106.8 dBc/Hz and -121.7 dBc/Hz at 100 kHz and 1 MHz offset frequencies respectively.

  • The modeling of SDR was carried out for the application of the solid waste incineration system. To find optimum operating condition for removal of acidic gases, computation fluid dynamic(CFD) model was used. In this study, the temperature profile of SDR(spray dry reactor) and the gas velocity profile for different models were investigated. In this model, the diameter of SDR was 3 meter and the height of SDR was 9 meter. The amount of inlet combustion gas of SDR was $6,125Nm^3/hr$ and the inlet temperature of SDR was 493 K. The amount of lime injection of SDR was 151 kg/hr. When the inlet shape of SDR was changed, the temperatur of SDR was changed and the gas velocity of SDR was 0.48 m/sec to 1.17m/sec and the outlet gas velocity of SDR was 6.9 m/sec to 7.42m/sec As a result of modeling, the average velocities in SDR and outlet were 0.489 m/sec and 7.424 m/sec, respectively, in which the temperature of outlet in SDR was 448 K.

A Performance Study of Vent Mixer with Geometric Characteristics in Supersonic Flow (초음속 유동 내 벤트 혼합기의 형상적 특성에 따른 성능 연구)

  • This paper studies the aerodynamic performance that the vent mixer-new conceptual supersonic mixer-showed with its geometric characteristics. The hole is 2 mm with 2 mm's distance from the wall in case 1 and with no distance in case 2. In case 3 die hole is 1 mm. Case 1 and case 2 showed the same total pressure recovery ratio, of which the case 3 was lower than that. While cases 1-3 had the same reattachment length, the shear layer was thicker in cases 1 and 2 than in case 3. Within the recirculation zone, cases 1 and 2 had lower pressure loss and higher velocity gradient difference than case 3-they enhance mixing between air and fuel. Separation bubble which is developed by the inflow into the recirculation zone has a significant effect on the total pressure recovery ratio in the combustor. Also separation bubble influences pressure distributions and recirculation flows in the recirculation zone. Therefore, inflow rate of air into the recirculation zone mainly affects the performance of vent mixer.

Simulation on the performance of an automobile climate control system with Internal heat exchanger and TXV (내부열교환기와 TXV를 적용한 자동차용 공조시스템의 성능에 관한 수치적 연구)

  • Recently, automobile air conditioning systems have applied an alternative refrigerant that can replace the high GWP refrigerant R134a due to the global warming problem. This study simulated the performance of an automobile climate control system with an internal heat exchanger and TXV. Refrigerant R1234yf was applied as the working fluid. Amesim, a commercial software program, was used to model the main components of the compressor, condenser, TXV, evaporator, and internal heat exchanger. As the outside temperature increased from 30℃ to 40℃, the cooling capacity of the system decreased by 3.1%, and the power consumption of the compressor increased by 17.1%. In addition, The performance characteristics of the refrigeration cycle were simulated by increasing the fin pitch of the condenser from 0.8 mm to 1.4 mm. When the fin pitch was larger than 1.0 mm, the condenser capacity decreased, and the system COP was lowered by 5.9%. When the fin pitch of the condenser was 0.8 mm, which was smaller than 1.0 mm, there was no significant change in the system performance. Hence, the optimal performance was observed at a fin pitch of 1.0 mm.
