  • Supercapacitors, which can deliver significant energy with high power density, have attracted a lot of attention due to their potential application in energy storage. Among various oxide materials, sodium vanadate has been recognized as one of the most promising electrode materials because of high electrical conductivity. In addition, larger layer spacing of ${\beta}$-Na0.33V2O5 compared to V2O5 makes easier Li+ insertion. Moreover, ${\beta}$-Na0.33V2O5 has a tunnel like structure along b axis with 3 kinds of V site allowing it to enhance the ion intercalation by introducing three different intercalation sites along the tunnel. The tunnel can act as a fast diffusion path for ion diffusion, which can improve the overall charge storage kinetics. In this study, high quality single crystalline sodium vanadate (${\beta}$-Na0.33V2O5) nanowires were grown directly on Pt coated $SiO_2$ substrate by a facile chemical solution deposition method without employing catalyst, surfactant or carrier gas. The results show that great enhancement in capacitance was observed compared with previous reports.

  • Objectives : The purpose of this study was to examine effect of attribution disposition and self-efficacy on test anxiety in selected college students who major in dental hygiene. This study provides basic data to develop a program for dental hygiene students to reduce test anxiety. Methods : 328 students from A college in Kyungnam, B college in Chunnam and C university in Chungnam who majored in dental hygiene were asked to answer the self-efficacy scale, attribution disposition and test anxiety scale in November and December. 2008. Total of 311 copies were analyzed. Using SPSS 15.0, correlation analysis was conducted and structural model was verified using AMOS 7.0. Evaluation of mediated effect of attribution disposition in suggested structural model was assessed using Sobel verification. Results : 1. Looking at the correlation among self-efficacy, attribution disposition and test anxiety. Self-efficacy had negative relation with external attribution disposition and test anxiety. External attribution disposition had positive relation with test anxiety. 2. Path coefficient from self-efficacy to internal attribution disposition was significant positively and path coefficient from self-efficacy to external attribution disposition was significant negatively. However, the path coefficient from self-efficacy to test anxiety was insignificant. 3. Path coefficient from external attribution disposition to self-efficacy was positively significant. However, the path coefficient from internal attribution disposition to self-efficacy was not significant statistically. 4. In structural model among attribution disposition, test anxiety and self-efficacy, indirect effect of external attribution dispositions was significant statistically. The students with higher self-efficacy showed lower external attribution disposition, the students with lower external attribution disposition showed lower test anxiety. Conclusions : To reduce test anxiety, educators should find a strategy that can improve students' self-efficacy and change their attribution disposition.

  • The important requirements of designing a pattern classifier are high throughput and low memory requirements, and low cost hardware implementation. A pattern classifier by using Multiple Attractor Cellular Automata(MACA) proposed by Maji et al. reduced the complexity of the classification algorithm from $O(n^3)$ to O(n) by using Dependency Vector(DV) and Dependency String(DS). In this paper, we generate a pattern classifier using LFSR to improve efficiently the space and time complexity and we propose a method for finding DV by using the 0-basic path. Also we investigate DV and the attractor of the generated pattern classifier. We can divide an n-bit DS by m number of $DV_i$ s and generate various pattern classifiers.

  • External insulation method is used to conserve energy of buildings. However, the current external insulation method uses organic insulating materials to become a diffusion path in case of fire. In this study, the purpose of this study is to provide basic data on the required performance of the plastering material according to the CaCO3 powder addition of the finishing material of the external insulation method. In Figure 1, when powder was added, the adhesion strength decreased by 30% to 35% at 10% and 0% to 50% at 20% compared to Plain. In Figure 2, the moisture permeability increases approximately twice when powder is added. The results for the water absorption coefficient are shown in Figure 3.

  • Kinetic studies of the pyridinolysis $(XC_5H_4N)$ of aryl dithiomethylacetates $(CH_3CH_2C(=S)SC_6H_4Z,\;1)$ are carried out in acetonitrile at $60.0^{\circ}C$. A biphasic Bronsted plot is obtained with a change in slope from a large $({\beta}X\;{\cong}\;0.8)$ to a small $({\beta}X\;{\cong}\;0.2)$ value at $pK_a^{\circ}$ = 5.2, which is attributed to a change in the rate limiting step from breakdown to formation of a zwitterionic tetrahedral intermediate, $T^{\pm}$, in reaction path as the basicity of the pyridine nucleophile increases. This mechanism is supported by the change of the cross-interaction constant ${\rho}xz$ from a large positive ( ${\rho}xz$ = +1.36) for the weakly basic pyridines to a small negative ( ${\rho}_xz$ = -0.22) value for the strongly basic pyridines. The magnitudes of ${\rho}z$ and activation parameters are also consistent with the proposed mechanism.

  • This paper proposes an enhanced degree computationless modified Euclid's(E-DCME) algorithm and its architecture for Reed-Solomon decoders. The proposed E-DCME algorithm has shorter critical path delay that is $T_{mult}+T_{add}+T_{mux}$ compared with the existing modified Euclid's algorithm and the degree computationless modified Euclid's(DCME) algorithm since it uses new initial conditions. The proposed E-DCME architecture employing a systolic array requires only 2t-1 clock cycles to solve the key equation without initial latency. In addition, the E-DCME architecture consisting of 3t basic cells has regularity and scalability since it uses only one processing element. The E-DCME architecture using the $0.18{\mu}m$ Samsung standard cell library consists of 18,000 gates.

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the fitness of a Path model to represent relations between stress, social support, depression, and suicidal ideation in middle-aged males. The participants were 236 middle-aged males, and data were collected from April 11 to June 1, 2018. The analysis was performed using descriptive statistics and Pearson's correlations in PASW Ver. 21.0, and AMOS Ver. 18.0 (a statistical structural equation modeling program), fitness characteristics of the final model were RMSEA 0.05, GFI 0.98, AGFI 0.95, and NFI 0.98. The major study results were as follows. First, stress had a direct effect on depression and drinking, and social support had a direct effect on depression. Second, stress and social support both directly affected suicidal ideation. Results also suggested depression had partial mediating effects on relations between stress, social support, and suicidal ideation. We suggest a program be devised to reduce suicidal ideation by middle-aged males. It is hoped our results will provide basic data for future studies.

  • Objectives: This purpose of this study was to make clear the fitness to data of the causality model related to father's child-rearing participation in a double-income household. Methods: Subjects of this survey consisted of the fathers of 2,006 households that use 21 day-care centers and 4 kindergartens whose cooperation was received via the city government departments that have jurisdiction over day-care centers and kindergartens in cities A and B in prefecture I and in city C in prefecture II (city A: 499 households; city B: 1,113 households; city C: 988 households). The surveyed items consisted of the father's age, the father's educational history, the number of children, the age of the youngest child, the father's parental-role awareness, the father's daily working hours, the father's return-home time, and child-rearing participation by the father. Results: The fit indices were found to be CFI = 0.912, GFI = 0.948, and RMSEA = 0.082. Regarding the path coefficients, the path coefficient of the pathway from the age of the youngest child to the father's parent positivity (0.08) and the path coefficient of the pathway from the father's parent positivity to child-rearing participation (0.19) were both at statistically significant levels. Also, the father's return-home time and the working hours, which were considered as disincentives exhibited a direct effect on child-rearing participation without being influenced by the father's parent positivity or parent negativity. The path coefficient of the pathway from return-home time to child-rearing participation was -0.43, and the path coefficient of the pathway from working hours to child-rearing participation was -0.13. The value of the path coefficient expressing the relationship between the return-home time and working hours was 0.80. Conclusion: Authors infered that it'll be the basic material to build a generation mechanism about vanity and father's child-rearing participation appropriately as a result of this research.
