  • GPSR은 차량간 ad hoc 네트워크에서 위치기반 라우팅을 위하여 개발된 알고리즘이다. GPSR에서의 라우팅은 Greedy Forwarding을 사용하지만 차량 밀도가 높은 VANET환경에서는 한계가 있다. 이러한 한계를 극복하기 위하여 본 논문에서는 새로운 프로토콜을 제안하였다. 본 논문에 제시된 기법은 밀도가 높은 환경과 밀도가 낮은 환경에서의 가중치를 설정하여 current node, next-hop node 그리고 destination node 간의 관계를 반영한 값들을 구하고 그 중에서 최소치 값을 가지는 next-hop을 선택한다. 특히 가중치를 기반으로 하면 차량이 밀집되거나 희박한 환경하에서 GPSR 보다 더 최적화된 경로를 찾아낸다. 성능평가는 수학적 모델과 네트워크 시뮬레이터인 NS를 이용하여 본 모델에 기반한 고속도로 시뮬레이션을 진행하였다. 결과적으로 볼 때, 본 논문에 제시된 기법은 시간 지연 측면에서 GPSR보다 나은 결과를 보여 주었다.

Investigation on the Injection Timing and Double Ignition Method for Heavy-duty LPG SI Lean Burn Engine (액상분사식 대형 LPG 희박연소엔진의 분사시기 및 이점점화에 관한 연구)

  • An LPG engine for heavy-duty vehicles has been developed using liquid phase LPG injection (hereafter LPLi) system which has regarded as one of the next generation LPG fuel supply systems. In this wort to investigate the lean bum characteristics of heavy-duty LPLi engine, various injection timing (SOI, start of injection) and double ignition method were tested. The results showed that lean misfire limit of LPLi engine could be extended. by 0.2 $\lambda$ value, using the optimal SOI timing in LPLi system. Double ignition method test was carried out by installing the second spark plug and modified ignition circuit to ignite two spark plugs simultaneously. Double ignition resulted in the stable combustion under ultra lean bum condition, below $\lambda=1.7$, and extension of lean misfire limit compare to ordinary case. Therefore, LPLi engine with optimal SOI and double ignition method could be normally operated at around $\lambda=1.9$ and showed higher engine performance.

  • This paper presents the results of an experimental investigation on one dimensional excess enthalpy flame formed in a porous block. The investigation is undertaken in order to further the physical understanding of internal heat recirculation from reaction zone to unburned mixture. Two porous blocks are placed at both sides of combustion block to control the temperature distribution in the combustion block by means of radiation heat transfer. Mean temperature measurement reveals the general nature of the reaction zone in the porous material. It is conformed that the temperature of reaction zone exceeds the adiabatic flame temperature and the flame is stabilized at the out range of flammibility limit derived by conventional burner.

  • In order to see the flame behavior in the gas turbine combustor, combustion test was performed by using sector combustor. Ignition test with torch ignition system was carried out at the various combustor inlet velocity and air fuel ratio. Also, flame blow out limit was measured by changing fuel flow rate with fixed air mass flow rate. In the test results, stable ignition is possible at air excess ratio of 6 and this limit is gradually increased with combustor inlet air velocity. The minimum blow out limit is about 4 at 40 m/s of combustor inlet velocity. This blow out limit is also increased up to about 10 with increasing combustor inlet velocity.

  • A heavy duty hydrogen-natural gas fueled engine can obtain stable operation at ultra lean conditions and reduce emissions extremely. Reduction of $CO_2$ in its engine is one of the most benefit. In this study, rate of hydrogen addition($R_{dH2}$) and compression ratio($\varepsilon$) were investigated including performance of this engine. As results, it was found that phenomenon of pressure oscillation when increasing $R_{dH2}$ and $\varepsilon$, it means occurring knock. It consider that pressure oscillation was increased due to fast burning speed of hydrogen. Even if same compression ratio, pressure oscillation was remarkable increased according to increasing $R_{dH2}$. Therefore, limit compression ratio of knock occurring was reduced by increasing $R_{dH2}$.

  • It is required to predict a limit cycle amplitude controlled by system's nonlinear behavior as well as an eigen-frequency and initial growth rate of instabilities under the linear motions, in order to fully understand combustion instabilities in a lean premixed gas turbine combustor. Special focus of the current work is placed on the limit cycle amplitude prediction using flame describing function(FDF) where the ratio of a heat release fluctuation to a given flow perturbation is expressed as a function of frequency and amplitude. In this study, the CFD modeling work based on RANS is carried out to obtain FDF, which makes that the nonlinear thermo-acoustic model is successfully developed for predicting the limit cycle amplitude of the combustion instability.

  • This paper is the second of companion papers, which investigate port-masking effects on emission and fuel economy. Port-masking was applied to commercial SOHC 3-valve engine by inserting masking plates between manifold and port. To induce various conditions of stratification, six types of masking plates were applied. In this paper, main interest is focused on the influence of injection timing on emission and fuel economy. Various injection timing was applied to the six cases, under the stoichiometric and lean-limit air-fuel ratio. Under the stoichiometric condition, an explanation about the reason of the change in emission level due to injection timing change is given. It is observed that NOx emission under the LML condition varies significantly when the injection timing changes.

Visualization of Initial Flame Development in an SI Engine (스파크 점화 엔진에서 초기화염 발달의 가시화)

  • Initial flame development and propagation were visualized under different fuel injection timings to relate the initial flame development to the engine stability in a port injection SI engine. Experiments were performed in an optical single cylinder engine modified from a production engine and images were captured through the quartz window mounted in the piston by an intensified CCD camera. Stratification state was controlled by varying injection timing. Under each injection condition, the flame images were captured at the pre-set crank angles. These were averaged and processed to characterize the flame. The flame stability was estimated by the weighted average of flame area, luminosity, and standard deviation of flame area. Results show that stratification state according to injection timing did not affect on the direction of flame propagation. The flame development and the initial flame stability are strongly dependent on the stratified conditions and the initial flame stability governs the engine stability and lean misfire limit.

  • In this research, we use IDI type constant volume combustion chamber which may make up stratified combustion to construct the design back data of lean-burn engine. Some experiments are conducted by the passagehole angle in the adapter of main chamber and sub-chamber. The effects on the combustion characteristics according to the ignition timing are investigated. The used fuel is methanol prospective for alternative fuel. Fuel is injected under 10.78MPa using solenoid and accumulator. As the results of the experiment, combustion characteristics reveals that ignition timing, passagehole angle and shape greatly effects on. Lean inflammability limit is extended to 0.45 in equivalence ratio.

  • A high energy ignition system is essential for lean burn or high EGR gasoline engine, which is getting more and more interest to improve fuel economy. The high energy ignition systems comprise plasma jet, laser beam, corona discharge and so on. In this study, a high energy ignition system using corona discharge is developed and tested in a constant volume combustion chamber. The developed system shows extension of lean limit of propane-air mixture and enhencement of combustion speed. Various shape of corona discharge plugs are also tested and compared in this study.
