  • 기존 활성탄의 표면 코팅으로 인해 GAC의 방전 및 온도 상승을 제어 함으로써 탈착 시 문제점으로 나타났던 폭발의 위험을 줄였으며 또한 급격한 온도 상승으로 인한 톨루엔의 분해를 줄임으로 톨루엔 회수의 가능성을 확인할 수 있었으며 GAC의 내구력 또한 강화된 것으로 사료 된다.

Mobility Characteristics of Veterinary Antibiotics in Soil Column (토주실험에서 동물용 의약품의 이동 특성)

  • Veterinary antibiotics can enter the soil ecosystem and then may be transported into groundwater via leaching process. The main aim of this study is to investigate the distribution and mobility of tetracycline, amoxicillin and sulfathiazole in soil. The adsorption of veterinary antibiotics were applied to the Freundlich adsorption isotherms. Adsorption coefficient ($K_F$) was indicated oxytetracycline > amoxicillin > sulfathiazole. Oxytetracycline concentration was highly detected in soil than in leachate. It is assumed that oxytetracycline was strongly absorbed by divalent cations such as $Ca^{2+}$ in soil. However, amoxicillin and sulfathiazole were shown higher mobility due to the lower distribution coefficient.

  • This paper summarizes fundamental research on a metal hydrides for the development of new energy. We made a study of the characteristics of the hydrogen absorption-desorption of $DiNi_5$ alloys. As a result, we found that the maximum amount of the hydrogen absorption of $DiNi_5$ alloys (the maximum in the absorption equilibrium pressure section) was H/M=1.04 at $30^{\circ}C$. The hysteresis was the smallest at $30^{\circ}C$. The capability of the hydrogen absorption-desorption was excellent. The number of cycles of the hydrogen absorption-desorption was about 9000 times at $30^{\circ}C$. We found also that the rate of the hydrogen desorption was the largest at $40^{\circ}C$.

Analysis of a-IGZO photoresponse using Red, Green and Blue Laser (RGB laser 를 이용한 온도에 따른 a-IGZO photo-response 분석)

  • RGB laser 를 이용하여 rf-magnetron sputtering 법으로 합성한 a-IGZO 박막의 photoresponse 를 관찰하였다. Air 분위기에서 red 파장을 조사 할 경우 비교적 slow recovery 특성을 보였으며, green 과 blue 파장을 조사 할 경우 red 보다 fast recovery 특성을 나타내었다. 그러나 진공에서 측정할 경우, red 파장에서는 recovery 가 빨라졌으며, green 과 blue 파장의 경우 recovery 가 매우 느려짐을 확인하였다. 이는 passivation 을 하지 않은 소자의 oxygen gas 의 흡/탈착 때문으로 예상할 수 있었으며, red 파장이 gas 탈착에 기여하는 정도가 매우 작고, green 과 blue 파장이 gas 탈착에 기여하는 정도가 매우 크기 때문인 것으로 생각할 수 있었다. 온도를 증가시킬 경우, 모든 경우에서 recovery 가 빠르게 나타났는데 이는 흡/탈착에 필요한 barrier 및 $V_o{^{2+}}$에서 Vo 로 돌아오기 위한 barrier 를 쉽게 넘어갈 수 있기 때문으로 이해 할 수 있었다. 이러한 결과를 stretched exponential equation 을 이용하여 해석하였으며 수치화 하였다.

균열암반 대수층에서의 방사성 핵종원소 거동예측을 위한 이론적/실험적 고찰

  • 최근 Lee et al.$^{l-2)}$ 은 화강암질 편마암내 균열면의 방해석이 Eu의 변화에 큰 영향을 주며, 아울러 Eu 은 Am의 유사체로서 매우 적합한 원소라고 제안하였다. 이 논문에서는 1)희토류원소와 액티나이드 원소의 이온반경, 배위수 등의 상호비교와 2) 응집력(cohesive energy)의 유사성과 물리적/화학적 특성 그리고 3) 희토류원소 지구화학의 최근 연구결과를 토대로 하여, 고준위 방사성 핵종원소인 Am의 지질매체내 거동을 예측하기 위한 유사체(analog)로서 Eu이 매우 유용한 역할을 해준다는 가설2)을 검증한 결과를 보고하고자 한다. 연구방법으로서, 핵종원소의 지질매체별 흡착특성을 밝혀내기 위해 금번 실험에서는 희토류원소 암상별 분포의 특성을 고려하여 4종류(화강암질 편마암류 2종, meta-basalts, 응회암)의 시료를 선별하였다. 방사화학적 흡탈착 실험의 핵종동위원소로서는 152Eu와 241Am을 선택하였다. 이는 본 연구팀의 연구결과, Eu과 Am의 밀접한 물리적/화학적 상관관계 그리고 지질환경내에서의 거동특성을 고려한 것이다. 실험결과 양 동위원소의 지질매체와의 흡착 반응 특성을 비교해 볼 때, 시간의 경과에 따라 서로간에 매우 유사한 양상의 증감을 보여주면서 변화함을 알 수가 있었다. 이 결과는 희토류원소가 액티나이드 원소의 지질환경내 거동예측을 위한 유사체로서 매우 훌륭한 도구라는 것을 입증해 주는 것이라 할 수 있다.

A Study on the Thermal Adsorption and Desorption Characteristics of Industrial Odorants using Activated Carbon (활성탄을 이용한 산업체 악취물질의 열적 흡탈착 연구)

  • Desorption reaction characteristics of the commercial activated carbons which were used for the removal of industrial odorants were investigated. BET specific surface area was analyzed to investigate the chemicophysical property of activated carbon. Adsorptivity of activated carbon was estimated by iodine number. Thermogravimetric analyzer (TGA) was used to investigate the desorption characteristics. Activation energies and reaction orders for reaction characteristics according to adsorption and desorption of activated carbons were estimated by employing the Friedman method and Freeman-Carroll method. Adsorptivity of reprocessed activated carbons were significantly lower than that of fresh activated carbons. In this study, it was found that the activation energies were 15.9~23.4 kJ/mol in Friedman method and 22.7~33.8 kJ/mol in Freeman-Carroll method.

Adsorption and Storage of Natural Gas by Nanoporous Adsorbents (나노세공체 흡착제에 의한 천연가스의 흡착 및 저장)

  • In order to utilize natural gas (NG), one of the clean energy sources in next-generation, as a fuel for vehicles, it is important to store natural gas with high density. To store NG by adsorption (ANG) at room temperature and at relatively low pressure(35~40 atm) is safe and economical compared with compressed NG and liquefied NG. However, so far no adsorbent is reported to have adsorption capacity suitable for commercial applications. Nanoporous materials including metal-organic frameworks can be potential adsorbents for ANG. In this review, physicochemical properties of adsorbents necessary for high adsorption capacity are summarized. Wide surface area, large micropore volume, suitable pore size and high density are necessary for high energy density. Moreover, low adsorption-desorption energy, rapid adsorption-desorption kinetics and high delivery are needed. Recently, various efforts have been reported to utilize nanoporous materials in ANG, and it is expected to develop a nanoporous material suitable for ANG.

Studies on Ammonium Adsorption by and Desorption from Various Soils -II. Desorption of Ammonium (토양별(土壤別) 암모늄의 흡착(吸着)및 탈착(脫着)에 관한 연구 -II. 암모늄의 탈착(脫着))

  • Ammonium desorption from 16 soils treated with $(NH_4)_2HPO_4$ solution (2000 ppm $NH_4$) was investigated by seven extractions with 0.01M $CaCl_2$. 1. There were 2 to 4 steps alternately appeared with fast and slow mode. 2. Desorption equation, log y=b-ax where y is desorption amount, b a constant indicating adsorption maximum, a retention constant, and x extraction number, was held for each step. 3. Desorption rate (100${\times}$desorption / adsorption) was 65% for the average of 15 soils, maximum 87% in Gimcheon series, minimum 32% in Samgag series. Yongho series (a peat soil) showed 156% indicating the release of large quantity of indigenous soil ammonium. 4. Desorption rate was negatively correlated with initial adsorption and in this relation the tested soils were classified into 3 groups. 5. The cumulative desorption curve was approaching almost to maximum in all tested soils with seven extractions. The final retention amount, ranged from 25% of CEC (Gimhae series) to 502% (Samgag Series). 6. Amount and rate of desorption did not have any significant relation with Langmuir adsorption maxima of ammonium, CEC and contents of clay, available phosphorus and organic matter. 7. The above results may indicate that adsorption and desorption of ammonium is closely related with iron, aluminum silicate and adsorption and desorption characteristics of accompanied anions.

Thermal Effusion of Implanted Inert Gas Ions from Si(100) (Si(100)에 주입된 불활성 기체 이온들의 방출 특성)

  • Thermally-driven effusion of inert gases out from Si(100), into which energetic $\~l keV\;He^+,\;Ne^+,\;A^r+,\;and\;Kr^+ ions$ had been implanted at a moderate substrate temperatures of $\~400 K$, was investigated by means of temperature-programmed desorption (TPD) mass spectrometry. While He effused out broadly over $500\~1,100 K$, Ne, Ar, and Kr effusion occurred sharply at 810, 860, and 875 K, respectively. Hydrogen adsorption/desorption analysis for the ion-treated Si(100) surfaces indicated minimal to severe damage by ions with increasing mass from He to Kr. Implications of these results in light of literature reports are discussed.
