  • 시계열(time series)이란 한 사상 또는 여러 사상에 대하여 시간의 흐름에 따라 일정한 간격으로 이들을 관측하여 기록한 자료를 말한다. 이러한 시계열은 어떠한 경제현상이나 자연현상에 관한 시간적 변화를 나타내는 역사적 계열(historical series)이므로 어느 한 시점에서 관측된 시계열자료는 그 이전까지의 자료들에 주로 의존하게 된다. 따라서 시계열분석을 통한 예측에서는 과거의 자료들을 분석하여 법칙성을 발견해서 이를 모형화하여 추정하고. 이 추정된 모형을 사용하여 미래에 관측될 값들을 예측하게 된다. 본 연구에서는 ARMA (p, q)모형 (autoregressive moving-average model)을 이용하여 시계열 데이터를 분석하며 계수의 추정에는 Levinson-Durbin 알고리듬과 Newton-Raphson Method를 이용한다.

  • 장례의식은 불교에서 가장 중요한 정기적인 의식들 중에 하나이다. 이러한 의식은 수도자나 죽은 사람들을 위해서 행해지고 있다. 그렇다고 장례의식의 목적이 죽은 사람들만을 위한 것이 아니라 근원적으로는 'saṃsāra'의 윤회로부터 완전한 해방을 구하는 모습을 의미한다. 티벳불교에서의 죽음은 두 가지를 의미를 인식한다. 하나는 열반으로 입적하는 것으로 다섯 가지에 완전히 융해되는 것을 뜻한다. 이러한 죽음은 더 이상의 '태어남'이 없다. 열반의 경지는 카르마 안에서 융해 되거나 평화를 얻은 경지인 것이다. 또 하나의 죽음은 카르마의 법칙에 의해서 통제 되거나 하나의 영혼이 열반 안으로 들어가기 전까지 순환적인 주기 안에서 지속적으로 반복되는 것이다. 카르마는 불교의 관례를 통해서 카르마의 힘은 없어질 수 있다고 할지라도 근본적으로 외부적인 간섭을 수행하지는 않는다. 즉 불교의 이념들은 각자의 노력을 통해 해방을 얻는 것을 가르치고 있다. 하지만 카르마의 경로가 식별하기 어려워 제의식의 효과나 수행의식을 통해 알아 볼 수밖에 없다. 여기서는 티벳불교에서 죽은 후의 몸을 적절히 배치하는 방법을 얻는 제의식이나 축제에 관심을 갖는 것이 아니라 이를 통한 실질적이고 복합적인 힘, 그리고 카르마적 흐름을 바꾸거나 심지어 없애버릴 수 있는 의식에 관심을 갖고자 한다.

Formulation of Fully Coupled THM Behavior in Unsaturated Soil (불포화지반에 대한 열-수리-역학 거동의 수식화)

  • Emerging issues related with fully coupled Thermo-Hydro-Mechanical (THM) behavior of unsaturated soil demand the development of a numerical tool in diverse geo-mechanical and geo-environmental areas. This paper presents general governing equations for coupled THM processes in unsaturated porous media. Coupled partial differential equations are derived from three mass balances equations (solid, water, and air), energy balance equation, and force equilibrium equation. With Galerkin formulation and time integration of these governing equations, finite element code is developed to find nonlinear solution of four main variables (displacement-u, gas pressure-$P_g$), liquid pressure-$P_1$), and temperature-T) using Newton's iterative scheme. Three cases of numerical simulations are conducted and discussed: one-dimensional drainage experiments (u-$P_g-P_1$), thermal consolidation (u-$P_1$-T), and effect of pile on surrounding soil due to surface temperature variation (u-$P_1$-T).

An Experimental Study on AutoEncoder to Detect Botnet Traffic Using NetFlow-Timewindow Scheme: Revisited (넷플로우-타임윈도우 기반 봇넷 검출을 위한 오토엔코더 실험적 재고찰)

  • Botnets, whose attack patterns are becoming more sophisticated and diverse, are recognized as one of the most serious cybersecurity threats today. This paper revisits the experimental results of botnet detection using autoencoder, a semi-supervised deep learning model, for UGR and CTU-13 data sets. To prepare the input vectors of autoencoder, we create data points by grouping the NetFlow records into sliding windows based on source IP address and aggregating them to form features. In particular, we discover a simple power-law; that is the number of data points that have some flow-degree is proportional to the number of NetFlow records aggregated in them. Moreover, we show that our power-law fits the real data very well resulting in correlation coefficients of 97% or higher. We also show that this power-law has an impact on the learning of autoencoder and, as a result, influences the performance of botnet detection. Furthermore, we evaluate the performance of autoencoder using the area under the Receiver Operating Characteristic (ROC) curve.

Numerical Studies on Bearing Capacity Factor Nγ and Shape Factor of Strip and Circular Footings on Sand According to Dilatancy Angle (모래지반에서 팽창각에 따른 연속기초와 원형기초의 지지력계수 Nγ와 형상계수에 대한 수치해석 연구)

  • Bearing capacity factor $N_{\gamma}$ and shape factor were studied for rigid strip and circular footings with a rough base on sand by numerical modelling considering the effect of dilation angle. The numerical model was developed with an explicit finite difference code. Loading procedures and interpretation methods were devised in order to shorten the running time while eliminating the exaggeration of the reaction caused by the explicit scheme. Using the Mohr-Coulomb plasticity model with associated (${\psi}={\phi}$) and nonassociated (${\psi}$ < ${\phi}$) flow-rules, the bearing capacity factor $N_{\gamma}$ was evaluated for various combinations of internal friction angles and dilation angles. Bearing capacity factor decreased as the dilation angle was reduced from the associated condition. An equation applicable to typical sands was proposed to evaluate the relative bearing capacity for the nonassociated condition compared to the associated condition on which most bearing capacity factor equations are based. The shape factor for the circular footing varied substantially when the plane-strain effect was taken into account for the strip footing. The numerical results of this study showed closer trends with the previous experimental results when the internal friction angle was increased for the strip footing. Discussions are made on the reason that previous equations for the shape factor give different results and recommendations are made for the appropriate design shape factor.

  • In this study, analysis of the flow of water in the soil environment was attempted to examine the changing patterns of permeability coefficient, k, presented in Darcy's law depending on soil particle size and the pattern of mixed soil that main factor affecting ground water flow in soil environment. In addition, permeability coefficient patterns depending on changes in water temperature and concentration were measured. As a result, the permeability for the soil particle size and mixing pattern is proportional to the size of the particles, and it was also influenced by the porosity depending on the mixed pattern and stratification. Especially compared with the single particle, mixing different sizes samples showed a lower k than the value of smaller single particles. In addition, permeability of groundwater increased with increasing temperature, also permeability decreased depending on the concentration of ions in groundwater. The results of this study were expected to use as meaningful data for the phenomenon reflects the characteristics of the soil to understand mobility of groundwater in soil environment.

  • Due to science and technology evolutions, modern systems are becoming larger and more complex. In developing complex systems, Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), which is approach to reduce complexity, is being introduced and applied to various system domains. However, because of the modeling being made through a variety of languages, there is a problem with communication within the stakeholders and a lack of consistency in the models. In this paper, by investigating the rule explaining the transformation of one of the only traditional diagrams, DFD, to SysML and reusing the formerly built models, we attempt to implement by SysML. Analyzing each diagram's Metamodel and validating the connection of each component through bipartite graph especially suggest an effective transformation rule. Also, by applying to naval-combat system, we confirm efficiency of this study. Establishing the results of this study as basis for conducting further study, we will be able to transform other previous models gained from formerly built system to SysML. In this way, the stakeholder's communication can be improved and we anticipate that the application of SysML will be beneficial to the much efficient MBSE.

Modelling of Principal Stress Rotation in Ko Consolidated Clay (Ko-압밀점토지반속 주응력회전 현상의 모형화)

  • The isotropic single-hardening constitutive model has been applied to predict the behavior of soils during reorientation of principal stresses in the field. The predicted response by the model agrees well with the measured behavior for a series of torsion shear tests performed on hollow cylinder specimens of Ko consoildated clay along various stress -paths. This indicates that the soil behavior during reorientation of principal stresses can be predicted by using the model with application of simple informations given by isotropic compression tests and conventional consolidated-undxained triaxial compression tests. Isotropic elasto-plastic soil behavior has been served during primary loading from both the torsion shear tests and the predictions by the model. However, the directions of maj or principal strain increment given by the model have not coincided with the directions for tests during stress reversal, such as unloading and reloading, within isotropic yield surface for Ko consolidated stress. This indicates that kinematic hardening model instead of isotropic hardening model should be developed to predict the soil behavior during stress reversal. The experimental strain increment vectors in the work-space have been compared with the directions expected for associated and nonassociated flow rules.

  • This paper describes scheduling algorithms of the UNIX operating system and shows an analytical approach to approximate the average conditional response time for a process in the UNIX operating system. The average conditional response time is the average time between the submittal of a process requiring a certain amount of the CPU time and the completion of the process. The process scheduling algorithms in thr UNIX system are based on the priority service disciplines. That is, the behavior of a process is governed by the UNIX process schuduling algorithms that (ⅰ) the time-shared computer usage is obtained by allotting each request a quantum until it completes its required CPU time, (ⅱ) the nonpreemptive switching in system mode and the preemptive switching in user mode are applied to determine the quantum, (ⅲ) the first-come-first-serve discipline is applied within the same priority level, and (ⅳ) after completing an allotted quantum the process is placed at the end of either the runnable queue corresponding to its priority or the disk queue where it sleeps. These process scheduling algorithms create the round-robin effect in user mode. Using the round-robin effect and the preemptive switching, we approximate a process delay in user mode. Using the nonpreemptive switching, we approximate a process delay in system mode. We also consider a process delay due to the disk input and output operations. The average conditional response time is then obtained by approximating the total process delay. The results show an excellent response time for the processes requiring system time at the expense of the processes requiring user time.

  • Across the secondary school, students deal with the algebraic conditions like as identity, inverse, commutative law, associative law and distributive law. The algebraic structures, group, ring and field, are determined by these algebraic conditions. But the conditioning of these algebraic structures are not mentioned at all, as well as the meaning of the algebraic structures. Thus, students is likely to be considered the algebraic conditions as productions from the number sets. In this study, we systematize didactically the meanings of algebraic conditions and algebraic structures, considering connections between the number systems and the solutions of the equation. Didactically systematizing is to construct the model for student's natural mental activity, that is, to construct the stream of experience through which students are considered mathematical concepts as productions from necessities and high probability. For this purpose, we develop the program for the gifted, which its objective is to teach the meanings of the number system and to grasp the algebraic structure conceptually that is guaranteed to solve equations. And we verify the effectiveness of this developed program using didactical experiment. Moreover, the program can be used in ordinary students by replacement the term 'algebraic structure' with the term such as identity, inverse, commutative law, associative law and distributive law, to teach their meaning.
