Korean traditional paper is more than paper itself to the Korean people because of its excellence, compared to western paper, in keeping records, flexibility, strength. air permeability. and blocking ultraviolet rays. It has been used for various purposes such as book-making. covering for walls. windows or floors. making clothes and living appliances. and so on. Notwithstanding these merits. mass-produced paper has been substituted for Korean paper. Recently, however, there is a growing tendency to re-evaluate Korean paper because of its physiochemical properties. traditional beauty. eco-friendliness. and applicability to crafts. Korean paper deserves widely received re-evaluation as teaching materials for the education of ecology. creativity. and traditional arts. The purpose of this study was to find out a way of using Korean paper as sewing materials in Practical Arts classes for the elementary school. Previous researches on what properties Korean paper has and how many kinds of crafts have been made of Korean paper were reviewed. Concrete methods of utilizing Korean paper as sewing materials. especially for the finishing skills of sewing. were also proposed.

This study developed an 'Eco-friendly Clothing Life Cycle' class applying gamification. And the effect of and learners' satisfaction on the class were examined after implementation. The developed class was applied to 40 sophomore students from "A" high school in Gyeonggi-do from February 3, 2022, to February 10, 2022, in a total of 4 sessions. The class was conducted in the stages of production-distribution-consumption-disposal, and was conducted in a way that a mission is solved after learning in Gather Town. It is designed so that learners continuously repeat learning until they accomplish the mission. The learners completed pre-class and post-class questionnaires. And a focus group interview was conducted with a randomly selected group of three learners. According to the pre-/post-class test comparison, the gamification class on the theme of "Eco-friendly Clothing Life Cycle" was found not to have a significant effect on learners' immersion or self-directed learning attitudes. However, in the case of the learners with high levels of non-immersion tendency, the level of immersion in the class increased, and the satisfaction level was positively associated with the level of immersion and self-directed attitude. Learners expressed 'concern' and 'expectation' about the gamification class, and said that although the developed class was using a 'new teaching method', 'appropriate use' was necessary. And learners were evaluated this class as a 'student-centered class' and acknowledged that it allowed 'self-directed learning'. The teacher who implemented the class said that this class was more effective in attracting students' expectations and interests compared to the conventional classes, and that the class in the meta-verse environment was perceived as a new type of class in the non-face-to-face era. The teacher also mentioned that when applied to the actual educational field, a detailed design is needed that allows the learners to proceed smoothly, and the role of the teacher in the class was more important. And the teacher also mentioned that the class should be properly designed so that the expectations given by the 'game' do not obscure the essence of the class.

Concerns about green building construction were quite increasing around the world. Therefore, Korea Government has executed the Green Building Certification Criteria(GBCC) in 2002. The GBCC of educational facilities was executed in 2005 and was revised in 2010. The aim of this paper is to check the reliability of weighting factors in all assessment categories of GBCC and to suggest the future revision direction of GBCC. For the study, the old and current version of GBCC were examined and the 5 cases certificated by the old version were analyzed and reassessed by current version to compare with the differences of the two in obtaining the green building certification. According to the results of the study, the GBCC requires additional amendments about the assessment categories of the energy consumption monitoring and building commissioning as required subjects in order to secure the stable performances of building. In addition, the categories of building management need to be assessed more intensively and the certification criteria for existing building should be enacted as soon as possible.
This study explored how the elementary schools provided proper interior environments to the students in terms of ecological aspects. 14 cases-7 in Busan and 7 in Osaka which were newly built or remodelled since 2000 were selected. These schools were analyzed based on the eco-school guideline suggested In the former study. The guideline categorizes into three parts: 1) energy efficiency related with lighting, ventilation, heating and insulation, 2) greening, 3) sustainability including recycling water system and use of environmentally friendly materials. The results showed that Korean schools require more systematic planning for natural lighting, ventilation, Insulation, greening and new water system while Japanese schools need use of environmentally friendly materials and consideration for natural lighting, insulation and interior greening. Especially, natural lighting and natural ventilation through roof window, atrium, wind tower and use of natural insulation and blind window system should be basically considered at the Initial planning. Also, this study reveals that ecological approach including greening and natural lighting with various architectural form should be applied in future elementary school design to make the school environment more agreeable and economical.

The nitrogenous compounds in the muscle extracts of cultured and wild olive flounder, Paralichthys olivaceous, were analyzed. The analyzed coumpounds were extractive nitrogen, free amino acids, oligopeptides, ATP and its related ompounds, quaternary ammonium bases, and guanidino compounds. The distribution pattern of these compounds in cultured and wild fish was found to be very similar. Although the ATP and its related compounds and creatine in the muscle of cultured fish were slightly abundant than those in the muscle of wild one, the extractive nitrogen, total free amino acid, oligopeptides, and TMAO were found to be slightly rich in the muscle of wild fish than those in the muscle of cultrued one. The moisture content of cultured fish was relatively lower but the protein and fat contents of cultured one were higher than those of wild fish. However the differences in the proximate composition, extractive nitrogen and nitrogenous compounds between two fishes were not significantly different.
This study aimed to investigate the effect of environmental education programs using action learning on elementary school students' environmental literacy and self-efficacy. To this end, an environmental education program using action learning was applied to 22 sixth graders of 'A' Elementary School in Busan. The results of this study were as follows. The purpose of this study is to find out eco-friendly attitude and level of knowledge about environment of pre-service elementary teachers and find relationship between these. In this study, we investigate and analyse with surveys about eco-friendly attitudes and environmental knowledge questionnaire targeting the 2nd semester of 2013 32 people of fast stream class 2nd grade. Also, we analyzed correlation between environmental knowledge and the test results of eco-friendly attitudes. Results for the analysis are as follows. First, pre-service elementary teachers' average of eco-friendly attitudes test result is 'cognitive area(60.22)> definitional area(53.69)> behavioral area(52.72)'. These results are re-service elementary teachers are knowledgeable about the environment, but they are passive at the execution act about environment. Second, the average of pre-service elementary teachers' environmental knowledge result is the highest to the protect the environment, for the average(26.25). It is interpreted that they acquired the most the knowledge related to the conservation of the environment. Third, It is no significant correlation between pre-service elementary teachers' eco-friendly attitudes and environmental knowledge. It means that although they acquired a lot of knowledge related to the environment, it is not affected to environmental friendly attitude putting ideas into action about environment.
