Partial Miscibilities in Binary Solutions with Two Kinds of Specific Interactions (두 종류의 특정상호작용을 갖는 이성분 용액의 부분 혼합도)

  • In this article, new Gibbs free energy of mixing is derived when there are specific interactions between solvent-solute molecules and between solute-solute molecules in binary solutions. It is asssumed that a probability of specific interactions satisfies a binomial distribution. Using this Gibbs free energy of mixing, we investigate possible types of partial miscibilities and show that Ω-shaped temperature-composition phase diagrams can exist. We calculate Ω-shaped temperature-composition phase diagram of water-2-butanol system and compare that with result calculated by the method of Hino5 et al. and the experimental data.

  • 혼합설계의 교호작용에 대한 F 검정이 유효하려면 다표본 구형성(multisample sphericity) 가정과 다변량 정규분포 가정이 만족되어야 한다. F 검정을 실시하기 위한 가정들이 위반된 조건하에서 혼합설계의 교호작용에 대한 검정법들의 1종오류가 비교되었다. 비교된 검정법들은 (1) F 검정(F), (2) 절사평균을 사용한 F 검정($F_T$)(3)$\varepsilon$-수정 F 검정($\varepsilon)$(4) 절사평균을 사용한 $\varepsilon$-수정 F 검정$(\varepsilon_T$) (5) CIGA검정(CIGA), (6) 절사평균을 사용한 CIGA검정($CIGA_T$)이었다. 결과는 CIGA와 $CIGA_T$는 1종오류를 대체로 잘 관리하나, F검정들과 ($\varepsilon$)검정들은 일부 조건에서 아주 작은 1종오류나 아주 큰 1종오류를 갖는 것으로 나타났다.

  • 미용 향장분야에서 많이 사용되고 있고, 소염작용, 진통효과, 면역증진작용, 강장작용이 있다고 알려진 저먼 카모마일, 라벤더, 샌달우드, 호호바 등의 혼합 아로마 오일을 NC/Nga 생쥐의 피부에 도포하여 생쥐의 피부조직내 염증세포와 mast cell 의 변화를 파악하여 아토피 피부염에 대한 효과를 검증하였다. 그 결과 아로마 혼합오일인 CLS 가 아토피 피부염의 주증상인 표피세포의 각질화와 mast cell의 감소에 영향을 주어 아토피 피부염에 효과가 있을 것으로 사료된다.

  • Performing random number simulations, we obtained an approximate distribution of the number of ways arranging molecules in a binary lattice solution of nonrandom mixing with a specific interaction. From the distribution an approximate equation of excess Gibbs energy for a binary lattice solution was derived. Using the equation, liquid-vapor equilibrium at constant pressure for 15 binary solutions were calculated and compared with the result from Wilson equation, Van Laar equation and Redlich-Kister equation.

  • In this paper, we review relevant technologies of MR (Mixed Reality) and show important components of perspective that can overcome technical limitations of the current MR. An MR technology combines real and virtual objects in a real environment, and runs interactive in real time, and is regarded as an emerging technology in a large part of the future of IT (Information Technology). We've grouped the major obstacles limiting the wider use of MR technologies into three themes: technological limitations (i,e., tracking, rendering, authoring, and registration), user interface limitations(i.e. UI metaphor for MR interaction), and social acceptance Issues.

  • Mixed and augmented reality technique deals with mixing content between real world and virtual world containing augmented reality and augmented virtuality excluding of pure real and pure virtual world. In mixed and augmented reality, if a live actor and entity moving in real world can be embedded more naturally in 3D virtual world, various advanced applications such 3D tele-presence, 3D virtual experience education and etc can be serviced. Therefore, in this paper, we propose a standard model which is supporting to embed the live actor and entity into 3D virtual space, and to interact with each other. And also the natural embedding and interaction of live actor and entity can be performed based on the proposed model.

  • Interactions of herbicide mixtures were assessed for effective control of annual and perennial paddy weeds by isobole method(90% control) using Echinochloa crusgalli Beauv. var. oryzicola Ohwi, Scirpus hotarui Ohwi, Sagittaria pygrnaea Miquel, and Cyperus serotinus Rottb which are dominated in the paddy field of Korea. Mixture of butachlor and pyrazolate showed additive effect for control of E. crusgalli Beauv. var. oryzicola Ohwi, S. hotarui Ohwi and C. serotinus Rottb, but synergistic effect for control of S. pygmaea Miquel. Interaction of bifenox and bromobutamide showed synergistic effect to E. crusgalli Beauv. var oryzicola Ohwi and C. Serotinus Rottb, but slightly antagonistic effect to S. pygmaeo Miquel.

  • A simple three-dimensional cubic model is applied to the formation of the Yellow Sea Cold Water Mass in Summer. We studied how the tidal mixing and the Kuroshio Water Mass affect the formation of the Yellow Sea cold Water. The tidal mixing effect is parameterized into the vertical diffusion coefficient because of the technical difficulties in the numerical model In this study, the thermal front along the coast could be formed only by the tidal mixing effect. However, the southern front of the Yellow Sea Cold Water Mass has to consider the warm Kuroshio water. the resultant shows the opposite temperature distribution in upper layer and lower layer. the center of the model is warmer in the upper layer and colder in the lower layer than the coast. The resultant circulation pattern is also reverse, clockwise circulation in the upper layer and counter-clockwise circulation in the lower layer.

  • The interaction between Lactobacillus acidophilus and Kluyveromyces fragilis on the utilization of amino acids in soymilk was investigated. K. fragilis assimilated relatively well various amino acids such as Met., ILe., Phe., Leu., Thr., Lys., Val., Arg., Tyr., Ser., Asp., Ala. and Glu. that existed only in trace amounts in soymilk. K. fragilis did not utilized Gly., while hi accumulated His. L. acidophilus hydrolyzed soyprotein to liberate various amino acids. Among various amino acids, it utilized Met., ILe., Thr., Tyr., Ser., Val. and His. as growth factors and accumulated Leu., Phe., Lys., Arg., Glu., Asp. and Ala. among the essential amino acids required by K. fragilis and Gly. These results implied that K. fragilis grew on amino acids that existed only in trace amounts in soymilk, but it's growth was stimulated by amino acids such as Leu., Phe., Lys., Arg., Glu., Asp. and Ala. ac-cumulated by L. acidophilus.
