This paper critically investigates the cultural phenomenon surrounding the news mobile phone app in which 'curation', relying on the news editing and adaption, has become much more significant than making the news directly. This study affirms the fact that a copying culture which is basically a combinative effect of duplication (alias) and imitation(mimesis) enables us enrich the human beings' creative activities. However, we need to warn the regressive aspects of copying culture challenging the journalistic principles. This study exemplifies a case of Pikicast, which has become the most rapid growing news content mobile app in Korea. By doing a case study, this paper suggests that 'social gift' should be given to the online users as a whole. The communal and social gift would be an alternative way to the unpaid crawling of the news resources from the digital commons by the news content curating corporation such as Pikicast.

Energy management aims to financial and ecological success by optimizing the energy consuming sources such as sensors, computers and appliances. Hence, acquiring energy-related data from the sources in an automated manner is the starting point of managing energy. Recently, awareness computing has been emerging in system and cybernetics area. Awareness is the most fundamental ability for any living things to survive, and also the first step to make systems intelligent with the help of artificial intelligence. Even though the potential reciprocal benefits between energy management and awareness computing, frameworks which show how awareness computing contributes to manage energy-related strategy have been very few. Hence, this paper aims to introduce the awareness computing issues to improve energy management. In particular, we focus on satisfaction awareness computing which potentially realize the balance of energy savings and user's utility.

In this paper, our goal is to investigate the influencing factors on the online-based interpersonal relationships formation of the SNS users. To achieve this, first, we collected the influencing factors on the online-based interpersonal relationships, conducted survey, and then we analyzed the data with the PLS(Partial Least Square) and structural equation. As a result, we verified the main cause of factors as personal, relational and environmental factors and 8 kinds of detailed factor as social attraction, physical attraction, informational post, reciprocality, similarity, contents quality, web appearance and perceived spatiality are the influencing factors on the online-based interpersonal relationships dimensions. Finally, these factors were proposed as the influencing factors on the online-based interpersonal relationships formation of the SNS users.

This study is to analyze the effects of the FDI inflows service industry on China's economic growth using panel data from China's service industry for the period 1990-2012. The results of this study show that the FDI inflows into service industry in China is behind a key driving force to develop its economic growth, and that other factors like investment in the fixed assets and investment in human capital and labor make contribution to promoting its economic development. The results suggest that in order to enhance its growth, the government should expend a great deal of effort trying to make a good environment for investment to increase the FDI inflows into China's service industry.

This paper provides an empirical analysis of the effects of trust determinants on firm performance in the buyer-supplier relationships by considering warehousing firms in Busan, South Korea. We employed AVAS transformation regressions to address the limitations of linear regressions and found nonlinear relationships between firm performance and trust determinants. Specifically, "longterm and repeated interactions," "geographical proximity," and "cultures and norms of firms and formal institutions" had positive linear relationships with firm performance, and "information sharing and reciprocity" induced an increasing pattern in firm performance. Finally, "interdependence and asset specificity" and "uncertainty removal" led to a decreasing pattern in firm performance. These results suggest that the relationship between trust and firm performance is contingent on the trust determinants that are important source of trust in buyer-supplier relationships and the influence of trust determinants on firm performance varied according to their levels.

Guanxi could be regarded as communities based on blood, regionalism, school ties centering on individual person. It has been used as a means of personal interests security and acquisition. What is more, it has formed a mode of socio-economic order, which is an inter-obligation relations based on mutual benefits. In practice, it is necessary to understand and accept guanxi in China, as it is a key factor to understand consumer patterns, inter-firm relations and extra-firm relations between firm and government. In this context, the main aim of the reserach is to identify the impact of guanxi on the business activities of Korean foreign direct investment firms in China by investigating their networks based on guanxi.

This study examines the differences of support exchange and factors impacting on the support exchange between the elderly and their grown-up children in 2011. Socioeconomic variables are introduced as independent variables. Emotional, physical, and financial support exchanges are used as dependent variables. Descriptive statistics and multiple analysis of variance are used for the statistical analysis. Findings of this study are as follows: First, the support exchanges between the grown-up children living with parents and elderly parents are significantly varied by the socioeconomic factors. Second, the support exchanges between the children not living with their parents and the elderly parents are significantly varied by the socioeconomic factors. A majority of the elderly are suffering from financial difficulties and they do not receive appropriate supports from their grown-up children. On the other hand, it turned out that the elderly parents are highly contributable to provide the emotional support for their family members, and provide the emotional support to their grown-up children.

In recent years, the importance of collaboration has been emphasized in the public sector as well as private companies. In a study for private enterprises, individual enterprises stressed the innovation through collaboration with other organization such as enterprise, university, and other agencies. Other companies and agencies have the technology they need, so that they share skill or knowledge, and they do to create more new developments. This implies a collaborative system can be a win-win collaboration with all partners. It also requires collaboration in the public sector. Because they have many problems that can not be solved at the level of individual institutions. However, public institutions lie ecologically unfavorable in a collaborative environment than the private sector. The organizational structure is hierarchical. In addition, relationships between collaboration partners not recognize horizontally. Of course, communication is not smooth. This study examines successful collaboration case in private sector and we want to draw implications for public organizations. Finally, we discussed ways to promote collaboration in the public sector.

The study derives various anticipated benefits resulting from locating small and medium sized IT service firms in a specific industrial cluster area. The study also derives IT service agility factors to obtain competitive advantages vital to real-time global enterprises. The anticipated benefits were then used to analyze how they improve the firms' agility. Using questionnaire data, factor analyses were used to figure out eight anticipated benefit factors including coordination, information sharing, business costs, speciality, communication, trust improvement, mutual business understanding, and reciprocity. The eight empirically derived benefit factors were then used to examine how they affect the IT service agility including flexibility, speed, responsiveness, and lean efficiency. The results of regression analyses showed that each one of the anticipated benefit factors except communication influence one or more IT service agility factors.

This study is about an apparel industry in Guro-Gasan where is growing up to the one of the apparel industry cluster beyond an agglomeration in Seoul. The purpose of this study is twofold: (1) to define industrial functions and roles of Guro-Gasan in a value chain of the apparel industry; and (2) to understand whether an industrial cluster is built on the local networks. This study reviewed formation and transitions of its local industries and industrial size, characteristics, spatial distribution and spatial properties using GIS analysis and field surveys. Through in-depth interviews, it analyzed the production system and spatial dispersion of the value chain to understand its functions and roles.
