Calculation of Hotel R's Investment Effects of ERP System Implementation (R호텔의 ERP시스템 구축에 대한 투자 효과의 예측)

  • Recently, the Korean Hotel market has expanded to Asia rapidly including China. However Korean hotels' competitiveness has weaken with Korean won's appreciation and increasing real estate cost. To cope with these problems, Korean hotels are varying and differentiating their services and adopting advanced information system such as ERP(Enterprise Resource Planning) System. ERP Systems requires large amount of cost and time, otherwise successful implementation is not guaranteed. Thus, It is necessary to analyze critical success factors and calculate effect before investment on the ERP system implementation. In this study, I surveyed a Five-star ranked Hotel, named R. To find a method of investment effect calculation. This research is conducted on the basis of previous studies and AHP(analytic hierarchical process), which is suggested by Saaty. Finally, This study presents a significant method of analysis and calculation on investment effect of Hotel's ERP system based on the Hotel R's case.

The Effects of Experiential Consumption Characteristics in the Hotel Business on Customers' Revisiting and Switching Intention (호텔의 경험적 소비특성이 재방문의도와 전환의도에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study is the findings of the effects of the experiential consumption characteristics in the hotel business on customers' revisiting and switching Intention. Also, this study is to examine revisiting and switching intention in accordance with visit frequency. For this study, the author analyzed empirically 534 copies of questionnaires. The first finding of this study discovered that playfulness, symbolism, usefulness and aesthetics had positive effects on revisiting intention. Second, symbolism, usefulness and aesthetics had negative effects on switching intention. Especially, symbolism had more significant effect on revisiting and switching intention than other variables. And finally, visit frequency had moderating effects between the experiential consumption characteristics and revisiting intention, switching intention. The hotel companies are possible to obtain several strategic implications on the basis of this empirical results.

  • 본 연구는 서비스산업인 호텔기업을 대상으로 특 1 급, 특 2 급, 1 급 호텔의 시장지향성이 관리자와 종업원들간에 어떻게 지각되고, 호텔등급별로 시장지향성은 차이가 있으며, 호텔등급별로 시장지향성이 사업성과에 미치는 영향력은 차이가 있는가를 알아보고자 이에 관련된 연구과제를 설정하고 실증분석 하였다. 본 연구의 실증분석 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 호텔등급별로 관리자와 종업원들은 특 1 급 호텔의 경우 경쟁자의 가격구조에 대한 반응(Moi3)(p<.01)과 시장세분화를 근거로 한 신제품/서비스 개발(Mor1)(p<.05), 특 2 급 호텔의 경우 고객여론 조사 정도(Mog2) (p<.05), 시장세분화를 근거로 한 신제품/서비스 개발(Mor1)(p<.05), 제품/서비스 개발 노력이 고객욕구와 일치하는 가의 정기적 점검 (Mor2)(p<.05)., 1 급 호텔의 경우 비공식적 수단에 의한 호텔산업 정보 수집 정도(Mog3) (p<.05), 사업계획이 시장조사보다는 기술발전에 따라 이루어지는 정도(Mor3)(p<.05) 등의 시장지향성 항목에 대해서 유의적인 지각 차이를 보이는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 특 1 급 호텔의 시장지향성이 특 2 급, 1 급 호텔의 시장지향성보다 높은 것으로 나타나 특 2 급, 1 급 호텔은 특 1 급 호텔을 전략적 벤치마킹의 대상으로 설정할 필요성이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 호텔등급 별로 시장지향성이 성과에 미치는 영향력(R2)을 분석한 결과, 특 1 급과 특 2 급 호텔이 1 급 호텔에 비하여 유의적으로 높은 것으로 나타났다. 한편 특 1 급과 특 2 급 호텔은 통계적으로 유의적인 차이는 없었으나 특 1 급 호텔의 시장지향성이 더 높은 것으로 나타났다.

  • With the help of information technology the number of email users and personal home page owners are increasing. Marketers have much interest in using the email and personal home pages as a marketing promotion tool which can provide potential customers with messages they want to send. Marketers can facilitate the promotion efforts once if the profiles of potential customers' information can be databased by sending proper messages to the targeted market. Because of the merit of email and personal home page hotel firms are expected to adopt the information applications in their promotions for customers. This study proposes the Possibilities of email and personal home pages as a marketing promotion tool in the hotel industry and discusses problems to be overcome.

A Development of Hotel Bankruptcy Prediction Model on Artificial Neural Network (인공신경망 기반 호텔 부도예측모형 개발)

  • This paper develops a bankruptcy prediction model on an Artificial Neural Network for hotel management. A bankruptcy prediction model has a specific feature to predict a bankruptcy of the whole hotel business after evaluate bankruptcy possibility on the basis of business performance data of each branch. here are many traditional statistical models for bankruptcy prediction such as Multivariate Discriminant Analysis or Logit Analysis. However, we chose Artificial Neural Network because the method has accuracy rates of prediction better than those of other methods. We first selected 100 good enterprises and 100 bankrupt enterprises as experimental data and set up a bankruptcy prediction model by use of a tool for Artificial Neural Network, NeuroShell. The model and its experiments, which demonstrated high efficiency, can certainly provide great help in decision making in the field of hotel management and in deciding on the bankruptcy or financial solidity of each branch of serviced residence hotel.

Effects of Customers' Perceived Service Justice in Membership Discount on Customer's Satisfaction and Relationship Quality in Deluxe Hotel (특급호텔 고객의 서비스 공정성 인식이 고객만족과 관계품질에 미치는 영향 -서울지역 특1등급 호텔 중심으로-)

  • This paper examines the critical role of customers' perceived service justice in relationship hotel marketing and service. Three types of service justice, distributive justice, procedural justice, and interactional justice are proposed to affect both customer satisfaction and trust, and customer service satisfaction is likely to take effects on relationship quality variables, trust and commitment. Empirical results, based on data from 250 customers of two membership discount deluxe hotel in Seoul, showed satisfactory data-fitness to the proposed model and supported seven research hypotheses. Interactional justice was found to have significant relationship with both trust and customer satisfaction, while distributive justice had significant relationship with trust and procedural justice with customer satisfaction. Also, the customer satisfaction had strong relationship with core variables of relationship quality (trust and commitment) and the trust variable was found to be a powerful antecedent leading to customer's commitment to service organization.

  • The purpose of this study is to understand the cognitive power from user who have used hotel management information system and to search contribution level for hotel management. The survey results are : There are different cognitions, between PKG and developed user system, short term employee and long term employee, reservation part and front office part. Specially IT service management parts(mostly outsourcing) have low degree cognition, because of lated supporting and being short of IT service management system. Hotel information system construction gives us to be easy management operating and to be fast management but Hotel information system has to lead value creation, to support decision making, to present advavced management for hotel.

  • Competition between corporations is getting more intense, so they need customer feedback in order to fulfill an effective management. Recently, SNS (Social Network Service) such as Twitter and Facebook has grown dramatically because of smart phones. Social media like Twitter and Facebook let customers to express their needs, and using big data such as data on SNS is a very effective method for getting customer's feedback. Collecting and analyzing social big data are operated by Buzz monitoring system. This research suggests how to utilize big data for getting customer's feedback on hotel CRM(Customer Relationship Management), which considers customer itself as asset of business. This paper demonstrates the research of buzz monitoring system that analyzes big data, and presents results of hotel customer reputation using buzz monitoring system. It would analyze the result from the hotel customer reputation, and research the implication in this paper.
