The Diameter Control for improved performance of the Crystal Grower (단결정 실리콘 성장기의 성능향상을 위한 직경 제어)

  • In this paper the automatic diameter control system of the CZ-150 Crystal Grower is proposed in order to achieve a good performance for the industry applications in MEMC Korea. The effectiveness of the design parameters is verified by means of the computer simulations and the proposed controllers showed the better performance than the conventional PD controllers which always have steady-state errors.

  • A fuzzy control algorithm is used to weigh alloy metal into electric arc furnace and implemented by using ladder program for programmable logic controller, where weight error and its derivative are used for input variables and vibration amplitude of alloy bin is used for output variable. Proposed fuzzy control algorithm is applied to the plant and results in higher measuring accuracy as well as faster measuring term than conventional on-off control system.

  • The Korean real-time traffic responsive control systems, Cycle Offset Split Model of Seoul (COSMOS), employs a single theoretical model to estimate the degree-of-saturation (DS) on approaches. However, the deployment of the system has been accomplished without practical consideration of its field performance. This paper delivers a diagnosis study performed to find the relationships yet known on the DS values against the operational conditions unproved in theory but ordinarily observed in field practice. Based on the analysis of the historical log data (476,505 cycles) obtained from the COSMOS server, it was found; (1) full coverage of lane detections should perform better than the sample coverage of detection in ordinary conditions, (2) the sample coverage of detection perform better than the other case with an exclusive bus lane, (3) detection in which a shared lane is involved provide poor estimation of DS, (4) poor DS estimation when a detection lane is adjacent to a shared lane, and (5) the DS values obtained during a day can hardly be stable all time. The findings suggest traffic engineers a progressive direction to move forward for the next real-time traffic control systems.

  • Since field control equipment such as PLC has no function to log key event information in the log, it is difficult to analyze the accident. Therefore, it is necessary to secure information that can analyze when a cyber accident occurs by logging the main event information of the field control equipment such as PLC and IED. The protocol analyzer is required to analyze the field control device (the embedded device) communication protocol for event logging. However, the conventional analyzer, such as Wireshark is difficult to process the data identification and extraction of the large variety of protocols for event logging is difficult analysis of the payload data based and classification. In this paper, we developed a system for Big Data based on field control device communication protocol payload data extraction for event logging of large studies.

  • 산업현장에서의 인터넷환경 및 원격 제어를 위한 시스템 개발에서 신뢰성이 있고 경제적이며 지능적인 Power Supply가 요구되고 있다. 최근 통신시스템의 Power Supply는 수 kA이상의 출력전류를 가지고 있으며 최소 10개 이상의 모듈로 이루어져 있다. High-End 서버 시스템과 같이 수백 개의 마이크로프로세서를 내장한 시스템은 수십 kW의 전력을 소모한다. 이들이 사용하는 Power Supply는 별도의 시스템 제어기와의 통신으로 시스템에서 발생하는 발열, 소모전력, Total Harmonic Distortion (THD)에 대한 정보를 바탕으로 시스템이 갖는 각각의 Module에 대해 효과적이고 신뢰성 있는 전력공급을 하여야 만다. Distributed Power System (DPS)에서 가장 중요만 역할을 담당하는 Power Factor Correction (PFC) AC-DC Converter의 디지털 제어는 시스템 제어기와의 통신능력을 충분히 고려하면서 DPS를 위한 적합한 솔루션을 제공할 것이다. 본 논문에서는 Digital Signal Processor (DSP)를 사용하여 PFC 제어에 필요한 전파정류전압, 입력전류, 출력전압을 계측하여 역률개선과 THD의 저감을 위한 전류의 추종을 제어하면서 이들 제어기에서의 파라미터를 PC를 통해 모니터하여 최근의 추세를 만족시킬 수 있는 시스템을 구현할 수 있을 것으로 사료된다.

  • 100MW급 유류 연소 드럼형 열병합발전소의 주증기온도와 드럼수위 제어를 위한 비선형 PMBC를 개발하고 그 성능을 PID 알고리즘과 비교하였다. "first principle" approach를 사용하여 개발된 프로세스 모델은 정상상태를 과도상태에서 그 정확도를 현장의 데이터와 비교 검증한 것으로 제어기 성능 평가와 설계에 적합한 정교한 것이다. PMBC와 PID 제어의 성능을 부하증가와 연료의 열량변화 등의 외란에 비교한 결과, PMBC가 PID에 비하여 속응성, 절대오차 적분차, 제어노력 등에서 월등하게 우수한 것을 확인하였다. 것을 확인하였다.

  • This study proposes a method of controller design for precise position control in the use of solenoid which is widely used in industrial field. First, we design a Luenberger's observer that can accurately estimate the disturbance and set the appropriate gain. Based on the observed state, a fractional PD controller is designed and applied to the position control. As a result, the fractional order controller can obtain almost the same control performance even if the target position is different. In addition, it was confirmed that the position error of the steady state is within 0.1 [%] and the rising time is within about 0.05 second.

  • There are a lot of methods available in designing PID(Proportional-Integral-Derivative) and Lead/Lag controllers in the industrial field of technology because of their useful advantages such as simplicity and robustness. In an early stage of development process, a computational simulation approach is a very efficient tool for the designs of the controllers. Thus, in this paper we propose a cost-effective, and practically efficient. The PID and Lead/Lag controllers. To show the effectiveness of the proposed Lead/Lag controller, we compare and contrast of the simulation results of each controller with the Matlab simulator. Although we have only considered the DC motors for the controllers, but it could be extended in future developments to more complex plants. As a result, the proposed frameworks could be used to solve industrial problems such as a reduction in development cycle time and minimizing system errors.

  • There are so many kind of a control program that is applied in various process fields such as power generation plant, water treatment plant, incinerator plant, chemical plant, cement plant etc.. Because an engineer in field edits and changes and debugs and tests properly control programs using text-based control language, it is very hard for the him to apply to plant. Therefore, this research implemented a graphical tool for control program builder that is applicable to various plants and usable engineers having a little knowledge for control language. I wish to run more efficiently precision process control offering function that can see visual expression about flow of control signal and intermediate output values of control program displayed in screen using this implemented function block builder.

Chattering Reduction of Variable Structure Controller for Position System of Induction Motor (유도전동기의 위치제어 시스템을 위한 가변구조제어기의 떨림저감)

  • It has been known that variable structure control(VSC) has theoretically powerful control technique of providing fast response, no overshoot, and very robust control with respect to system parameter variations and disturbances. However, the technique has not become more widely extended in the industrial circles because chattering phenomenon which may excite high-frequency unmodelled plant dynamics and damage to system components exists. In this paper, a modified variable structure control(MVSC) is developed to alleviate these problems which are applied to the position control of induction motor. While the conventional VSC makes the structure of the system change with high-frequency switching on the center of the one switching surface, in the MVSC two switching surface are used to establish a sliding sector. The structure of the system will be changed with low-frequency switching. Therefore, the proposed algorithm has the properties of reducing chattering, retaining the benefits achieved in the conventional VSC, and working even under the influences of parameter variations. Experimental results show the effectiveness of the control strategy proposed here for the position control of induction motor.
