  • This is the one concept of the Korea paintings which defines the korea Art sprite. The line of korea painting is very important. It is impressions, korea artist had mastered the difficult art line of representing movement. That offers the important motive, that is discovery of Identity. this korea painting's line is like to meditation. To meditate is to think and ponder about the same holy truth for many hours on end, to fix an idea in one's mind and to look at it from all sides without letting go of it. That is the purpose behind the greatest of the korean landscape paintings Futhermore that is the purpose Shui-Mo paintings. This is the most important. What the korean value most highly in art. There is something wonderful in this restraint of Korea art, in its deliberate limitation to a few simple motifs of nature. But today, anyone did not interested in this motif. So that Shui-Mo paintings did not concerned too. Therefore, we consider it childish to look for details in pictures and then to compare them with the real world. We masters to acquire such a facility in the handling of brush and ink that write down their vision while their inspiration was still fresh.

  • This study is to exhibit the iconographic narrative and visual culture of ancient Chinese art. The focus of the study is the composite integration of literature and graphic forms, in particular the heterochronous expression of different scenarios of scenes occurring in different time periods in pictures of ancient art. The unity of their origins with picture narration and comic art creation is the fusion of our modern times. The ancient Chinese understanding of visual art includes the traditional style of images and their symbolic meanings. Among artistic narrative expression, imagery contemplation and visual presentation have significance. Artistic thinking is inseparable from visual articulation. It is a rational thought process through creative language interpretation in visual media of imagery narratives. The characteristics of ancient imagery thinking and the way of presenting sequential incidents in the form pictures is a creative space of time. This is the spatial thinking of modern comic art, which is demonstrated through acceptance in artistic styles. Image narration needs new forms and media styles, including integrating with cultural values as aesthetic communication is necessary.

  • Postmodernism has blurred the line between design and art. We would like to suggest a design case that took diversity in the modern era that harmonizes functionality and shape of the top board of a furniture and trend of the role of furniture and objet into consideration. This study aims to project a new role into space via convergence of objet that has aesthetic function and furniture design that plays practical role in space. Thus, furniture design attempts to combine ceramic and carpentry and demonstrate the value and potential the combination possesses. By creating a distinct design from previous furniture that had visual limitations with ceramic bridge that adopted existing piling method in ceramic design, we expect a fresh blend of furniture and space that encompasses a different sensation from color and texture of soil and glaze, unable to attain from simple wood.

  • Printmaking is a field of fine arts and is placed on a vague boundary that is perceived as a commercial product with a popular character due to the speciality of editions. Advances of modern science and technology has developed a new technique of printmaking, and the fusion of printmaking and computer has shown the possibility of reproduction art. Reproduction printmaking has been heavily influenced by photography and extended areas, and the various forms of printing have brought about many changes and attempts by stimulating the possibilities of indirect art at various angles. As the history of printmaking and technology closely relate, the development of computer makes widespread expansion of plural artistry, technological and artistic change. A new conceptual shape can be created on the copied image simply by placing the material of the print on the smoothly flat surface expressed in digital form. The process and the result of such work show the area of unique work which is different from the value of the $\grave{a}$ la carte art or the characteristics of the material given by the print. The deprecated perception of reproducibility evaluated the value of the work in a direct sense of printmaking. It is undeniable that it is devalued by a bundle of works regardless of the value of each edition. However, the physical properties of the prints on the paper are brought up with hand drawings drawn on the canvas by hand. And it becomes an opportunity to show new aspect and change through the process of combining digital print information on paper. The diversity of media is sometimes a controversy of identity between art and technology. In the future, it should be discussed how the limit of the media which can be enjoyed in the field of art can be set as a standard.

  • The target stimulating human's sensitivity can include several things; the first is human like us including beautiful women and cute babies. The next ranking is the dog animal that established itself as a human's companion. It is the 3B law(beauty, baby, beast - much used in the ad or election due to the positive image) that is widely used in the advertising. This relationship is being expressed in the art history for a long time. Dogs that have lived a history more than 10 thousand years with humans hunted, protected flock of sheep, and kept the farmer's house and property. They have been human's assistants and companion who entered into the modern urban culture. Like this, dogs have adapted to several situations endlessly such as the nomadic life, farming, country life, and urban life. This paper will explore the close relationship of humans and companion animals through various icons of dogs and pups that appeared through a number of artists' skills. The companion animal means an animal that lives with people, which means the relationship of round-trip rather than the one-way relation those each other gives a help. Therefore, there artist tries to examine the figure of great hunter for survival, highly evaluated figure as the royal dignity, and the mascot-like figure delivering the daily happiness to modern people as presenting joy through a discussion of the 'countenance', a visual signal of the dogs and pups. They have been influenced by screen and popular media in 20C. • From two viewpoints the writer investigated the beauty of space by overall arrangement and composition of a picture in Oriental painting. In particular, she examined the expanded representation and significance of space use which had not properly been recognized in the field of a colored picture contrary to a painting in India ink. She studied that the boundary for the representation and appreciation of space was unlimited to one field of painting by studying and analyzing it in connection with other fields of art which had something in common with it in techniques or languages of representation. The writer considered the aspects of similar forms and spirits as the methods of understanding and representing the essence of an object in creating a work. She generally considered the aspect of perfecting knowledge by studying the principle of an actual thing for the representation of revealed forms corresponding to the aspect of similar forms, and tried to reach the stage of 'materialization' united with the spirit of the subject of creation for the formless forms corresponding to the aspect of representing an artist's inner world as well as the external shapes of things. She tried to reach the stage of spiritual cultivation in pursuit of the boundary between 'mental vanity' and 'sitting quietly and attaining the state of perfect selflessness', which were presented by Chuang-tzu, to express the spirituality internal to it. She recognized that the projection of the cultivation on a work could convey internal essence as well as external forms to a picture. It was because the image of the form represented in a picture was based on the aesthetic experience got from realty. In the concept of space and a method of representing it, she explored and analyzed the basic concept of space, arranged the concept of space shown in Oriental ideas dividing it into the concepts of space in Confucianism, Taoism and the Zen sect. What she felt acutely through this study was that she should establish the identity of her work by succeeding to, changing and re-creating tradition based on the historical heritage left by successive excellent painters and theorists. Putting together all these things showed that establishing the identity in the world of work pursued and oriented by her required searching the direction in future works by mixing tradition with modern times in a creative way, which is just the purpose of study in this thesis.

  • Design prototype is described from the stately aspect as a principle of formative art, and from the shapeable aspect of physical feature. The prototype can be a common denominator which is contained in one nation's culture, art and life, as the thing which corresponds to the daily industrial craft, architecture and art's production intention and activity with the thought and background of the culture. We have formed the design prototypes with time and space in the process which absorbs and integrates the new culture. Modern Korean design's prototype can be seen in the late Chosun. As the upper culture and sub-culture were combined, the active culture was developed. Nobody can deny that Chosun's culture and art becomes a basis of today's design and Korea's beauty. In creating the design prototype, the natural environmental factors such as topography and climate are the most important. Such natural environmental factor led the design recognition of art and craft art, as well as an architecture and indoor environment's form. Korea design produced the artisan sprite which is devoted to a moral duty and instinct as our nation's nature and emotion, and ensured the emotional process not the rational process. So, it created naturalism which accepted the material and shape. Our design prototype's path tracking as an energy of future society's new design identity, can be the important theme for our design development.
