  • The present study surveyed 300 adults who completed orthodontic treatment to determine their oral health-related quality of life and changes in oral health behavior in orthodontic patients. The collected data is analyzed using the spss 22.0 program. Before orthodontic treatment, social factors (4.68) had the lowest associated quality of life score, and after orthodontic treatment, socially related quality of life showed the highest increase at 3.72 points. Changes in oral health behavior showed that many phosphorus scaling increased by 1.28 points after correction compared to before correction. As oral health quality of life and oral health behavior have changed through orthodontic treatment, dental professionals need to take appropriate management of each patient's individual quality through health education. Appropriate management needs to be developed.

  • This paper reports a meta-analysis of sixteen studies that evaluated the efficacy of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) for persistent primary insomnia. PubMed, Cochrane Library, EMBASE, CINAHL and several Korean databases were searched between January 2015 and June 2015. The main search strategy involved the terms that indicate CBT-I (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy-Insomnia) and presence of insomnia. Methodological quality was assessed using Cochrane's Risk of Bias. Data were analyzed by the RevMan 5.3 program of Cochrane Library. Sixteen clinical trials met the inclusion criteria, resulting in a total of 1503 participants. Stimulus control, sleep restriction, sleep hygiene education, and cognitive restructuring were the main treatment components. CBT-I was conducted for a mean of 5.4 weeks, 5.5 sessions, and an average of 90 minutes per session. The effects of CBT-i on total sleep time (d=-0.31), sleep onset latency (d=-0.29), awakening time after sleep onset (d=-0.55), sleep efficiency (d=-0.70), insomnia severity (d=-0.77) and sleep belief (d=-0.64) were significant. Overall, we found a range from small to moderate effect size. CBT-I also was effective for anxiety (d=-0.30) and depression (d=-0.35). The findings demonstrate that CBT-I interventions will lead to the improvement of both sleep quality and quantity in patients with insomnia.

As a result of the analysis, first, it was found that the sub-factors of Rapport Building Behavior in the banking service environment, Attentive, Courtesy, and Information Sharing, had a significant positive (+) effect on customer loyalty, and Connecting was found that there was no positive (+) effect on customer loyalty. Second, Attentive, Courtesy, and Information Sharing, which are sub-factors of rapport building behavior, were shown to have a significant positive (+) effect on customer attitude, and Connecting was found that there was no positive (+) effect on customer attitude. Third, customer attitude was found to have a significant positive (+) effect on customer loyalty. Fourth, customer attitude was shown to mediate the relationship between rapport building behavior and customer loyalty. Therefore, it was found that rapport building behavior is a factor influencing customer attitude and customer loyalty in the banking service environment. This means that rapport building behavior between customers and banks can change customer attitudes and have a positive effect on customer loyalty. It can be seen as implying that customer management is necessary to increase customer loyalty through rapport building between customers and banks even in the changing banking service environment.

  • Sedation is a useful behavior management technique for dental patients who may be uncontrollable or have medical problems. The aim of this study is to investigate the changes in patterns of sedative treatments in pediatric dentistry by analyzing the distribution of patients and used sedative agents. Patients and sedative agents were reviewed based on the electronic medical records (EMR) of the department of pediatric dentistry in Yonsei University Dental Hospital from 2011 to 2016. The number of patients who were treated under sedation generally increased. Male received more sedation treatment than female by 2014, and they became similar from 2015. The treatment percentage of patients with systemic disease decreased in 2013, remained constantly afterwards. The ratio of sedative treatment for the age 4 - 5 and age 6 - 10 generally increased, while that of the age 0 - 2 and older than age 11 decreased. The ratio of the age 3 remained steady. Nitrous oxide was the most frequently used sedative agent. The use of benzodiazepine increased while the use of chloral hydrate decreased. Although the use of sedation has expanded, multidimensional approaches for ensuring safety have been less focused. Therefore, it is necessary to explore further studies for the safety and efficacy of the use of sedation.

  • In the present study, a group of subjects consisting of "Fire Professional Engineers" was selected to examine the effects of life safety awareness and safety behaviors of the subjects on life safety through an analyses of the descriptive statistics, factors, reliability, and correlation; simple regression and three-stage regression analyses on mediation were also carried out based on the hypotheses developed. The results showed that the degree of safety behavior increased by 72.1% in accordance with the increased safety awareness of fire professional engineers; the life safety was also increased by 61.5% and 64.5% by the increases in safety awareness and safety behavior of fire professional engineers, respectively. In addition, the safety behaviors demonstrated a partial mediatory effect in the relationship between safety awareness and life safety. All hypotheses (H1, H2, H3, H4), established for the present study, were accepted based on statistical verifications that justified an amendment of the Acts pertinent to firefighting service focusing on life safety; the data are expected to be exploited to reflect significance of life safety.
