Analysis of Magnetic field with Line Source by Coupling FEM and Analytical Solution (유한요소법과 해석해의 결합에 의한 선전류 문제의 해석)

  • 유한요소법을 이용하여 전자장을 해석할 경우 전류원이 전 영역에 비해 극히 작은 영역이면, 요소분할 과정에서 소스부분을 세분하여야 하므로 결국 미지수의 증가를 가져오게 된다. 또한, 선전류 문제의 경우 2차원 유한 요소 해석이 용이하지 않다. 이를 보안하기 위해 본 논문에서는 소스가 선전류이고 관심 영역이 선전류원으로부터 떨어져 있는 경우, 소스 영역은 해석해를 적용하여 유한요소법과 결합하는 방법을 제시하였다. 해석적인 해는 원통좌표계에서 반정에 대한 멱함수와 회전각도에 대한 삼각함수의 곱의 형태로 표현된다. 이때 두 종류의 적분 상수가 있는데, 이는 경계상의 포텐셜값과 유한요소법의 경계 적분항을 푸리에급수로 전개한 계수로 표현된다. 제안한 알고리즘의 검증을 위하여 해석해가 존재하는 모델을 설정하여 해석적인 방법, 기존의 유한요소 법 및 결합 방법에 의한 해를 비교 검증하였다.

  • 열탄성 부영역, 열탄점소성/손상 부영역, 공유면, 접촉 공유면에 기반을 둔 영역/경계 분할법을 적용하여 재료 비선형성을 갖는 열탄점소성 손상 문제와 경계 비선형성을 갖는 접촉 문제의 효율적인 해석을 제안하였다. 영역 및 경계 분할에 관련된 공유면 및 접촉 공유면에서의 연속 구속 조건을 처리하기 위하여 간단한 벌칙 함수 기법을 적용하였다. 결과적으로 재료 및 경계 비선형성은 소수의 부영역과 접촉 경계면에서 계산되는 유한요소 행렬들에 국한된다. 따라서 적절한 해석 알고리듬을 구성하면 대폭적인 효율성 향상이 가능하게 된다. 대변형과 같은 기하학적 비선형성은 고려하지 않았으며, 간단한 수치 실험을 통해서 열탄점소성 손상 및 접촉 해석의 효율성에 관련된 기본적인 특성을 분석하였다.

Time Domain Analysis on Deck Wetness of a Caisson Wet-towed in Irregular Waves (불규칙 파랑 중 직접 예인하는 케이슨의 상판침수에 대한 시간 영역 해석)

  • A numerical analysis on deck wetness is carried out for a large caisson directly wet-towed by tugs in irregular waves. A constant panel method is used for linear analysis in frequency domain and a statistical post-processing for the deck wetness is presented. Hydrodynamic coefficients obtained from the frequency domain computation are imported for time domain analysis which enables complete modeling for towing equipment, environment, etc. Both frequency and time domain computations over two sea states are performed and comparison is made. In the time domain analysis, towing systems of various arrangements of tugs are investigated from short-term prediction for the largest deck wetness and the number of occurrences of deck wetness.

  • Vibration analysis is one of the most powerful tools available for the detection and isolation of incipient faults in mechanical systems. The methods of vibration analysis in use today and under continuous study are broad band vibration monitoring, time domain analysis, and frequency domain analysis. In recent years, great interest has been generated concerning the use of time- frequency repesentation and its application for a machinery diagnostics and condition monitoring system. The objective of the study described in this paper was to develop a new diagnostic tool for the rotating machinery. This paper introduces a new time frequency representation. Directional Winger-Ville Distribution, which analyese the time-frequency structure of the rotating machinery vibration.

  • Expecting fatigue life of mounted radar in aircraft is very important when designing, because the mounted radar in aircraft is exposed to long-term external random vibration. Among the methods of predicting the fatigue life, Fatigue analysis method in frequency domain has continuously been proposed in this field. In this paper, four fatigue analysis methods in frequency domain, which are widely used, have been selected and compared with the results for Specimen fatigue test. As a result, Dirlik and Benascicutti-Tovo methods have been matched better with fatigue analysis in time domain than the method in frequency method through the comparison between the fatigue analysis method in time domain and the method in frequency domain by conducting the specimen fatigue test with strain gage. Based on the results of the specimen fatigue test, We have conducted fatigue analysis of mounted radar in aircraft with Dirlik and Benasciutti-Tovo methods in the finite element model, and confirmed that the required life was satisfying.

무한요소(Infinite Elements)를 이용한 기초공학해석

  • 공학문제에 있어서, 해석적으로 접근할 수 없었던 많은 경우의 문제들이 유한요소법(Finite Element Methods)의 정형화된 모형화 및 해석과정을 통하여 쉽게 접근되어질 수 있었다. 최근 보다 효율적인 요소개발과 컴퓨터 기술의 발달로 유한요소법은 더욱 효과적인 해석 수단이 되어가고 있다. 그러나 지반공학 문제와 같은 무한영역 문제를 유한요소법으로 해석할 경우, 매우 큰 영역을 모형화하기 위하여 많은 수의 요소가 요구되며 이에 따른 자유도(Degree of Freedom) 수의 증가로 많은 계산시간을 요구하게 된다. 본 고는 무한영역 문제를 효과적으로 모형화하기 위하여 연구, 개발되어진 무한요소(Infinite Element)에 대하여 소개하려 한다. 무한요소의 기본개념과 강성행렬의 형성방법을 보인 후, 기초공학 문제를 예로 하여 이의 적용방법을 간략하게 설명하였다.

  • 단조하중(monotonic loading)하의 강재 보-기둥 절점의 패널영역(panel zone) 거동을 정의하기 위해 해석요소를 개발하였다. 본 해석요소를 위한 하중-변위관계로 단조모델(monotonic model)을 제안했는데 이 모델은 실험결과와 좋은 상관관계를 보여주었다. 개발된 해석요소인 패널영역 요소(panel zone element)는 단순하면서도, 이를 이용한 구조해석결과가 실험결과와 잘 일치하는 것으로 나타났다. 한편 단조 모델에 근거한 좀 더 현실적인 패널 영역의 설계전단강도를 제안하였다.

Laterally Loaded Soil-Pile Interaction Analysis in Frequency Domain (횡하중을 받는 지반-말뚝 상호작용계의 동적 주파수 응답해석)

  • In this study, a numerical analysis method for soil-pile interaction in frequency domain problem is presented. The total soil-pile interaction system is divided into two parts so called near field and far field. In the near field, beam elements are used lot a pile and plain strain finite elements for soil. In the far field, dynamic fundamental solution for multi-layered half planes based on boundary element formulation is adopted lot soil. These two fields are coupled using FE-BE coupling technique. In order to verify the proposed soil-pile interaction analysis, the dynamic responses of pile on multi-layered half planes are simulated and the results are compared with the experimental results. Also, various numerical analyses of piles considering different conditions of soil-pile interaction system are performed to examine the dynamic behavior of the system. It has been found that the developed method which satisfies the radiation conditions of multi-layered half planes can be applied to various structure systems effectively in frequency domain.

  • Analysis problems of tunnels whose geometrical dimensions are very small compared with surrounding media can be treated as infinite region problems. In such cases, even if finite element models can be applied, excessive number of elements is required to obtain satisfactory accuracy. However, inaccurate results may be produced due to assumed artificial boundary conditions. To solve these problems, a hybrid model, which models the region of interest with finite elements and the surrounding infinite media with infinite elements, is introduced for the analysis of infinite region. Three-dimensional isoparametric infinite elements with various decay characteristics are formulated in this paper and the corresponding parameters are presented by means of parametric studies. Three-dimensional tunnel analysis performed on a representative example verifies the applicability of hybrid model using infinite elements.

The Region Analysis of Document Images Based on One Dimensional Median Filter (1차원 메디안 필터 기반 문서영상 영역해석)

  • To convert printed images into electronic ones automatically, it requires region analysis of document images and character recognition. In these, regional analysis segments document image into detailed regions and classifies thee regions into the types of text, picture, table and so on. But it is difficult to classify the text and the picture exactly, because the size, density and complexity of pixel distribution of some of these are similar. Thu, misclassification in region analysis is the main reason that makes automatic conversion difficult. In this paper, we propose region analysis method that segments document image into text and picture regions. The proposed method solves the referred problems using one dimensional median filter based method in text and picture classification. And the misclassification problems of boldface texts and picture regions like graphs or tables, caused by using median filtering, are solved by using of skin peeling filter and maximal text length. The performance, therefore, is better than previous methods containing commercial softwares.
