College Students' Learning Satisfaction and Academic Achievement of Learning Nursing English Based on Smart Education (스마트 교육에 기반 한 전문대 학생들의 간호영어 학습에 대한 학습 만족도와 학업 성과)

  • The purpose of study is to comprehend learning satisfaction and academic achievement about the mobile program of nursing English learning constructed as a solution of supporting smart education in J college. The study was conducted from March to December in 2014. The subjects of study are 342 freshmen (39 males, 303 females) of nursing department. Learning satisfaction was analyzed through questionnaires, and academic achievement was investigated through test produced by 3 professors who majored in nursing. Resources analysis was implemented by SPSS 21.0. The study leads to 3 results from the macroscopic perspective. First, there is a difference of satisfaction with whole program between all factors such as mainly used devices, available times, available days, average hours of use per day, available places. Also, items under program satisfaction (subject or content, availability, academic ability) has a difference. Lastly, change of achievement scores by each time was significant.

Automatic Text Categorization based on Semi-Supervised Learning (준지도 학습 기반의 자동 문서 범주화)

  • The goal of text categorization is to classify documents into a certain number of pre-defined categories. The previous studies in this area have used a large number of labeled training documents for supervised learning. One problem is that it is difficult to create the labeled training documents. While it is easy to collect the unlabeled documents, it is not so easy to manually categorize them for creating training documents. In this paper, we propose a new text categorization method based on semi-supervised learning. The proposed method uses only unlabeled documents and keywords of each category, and it automatically constructs training data from them. Then a text classifier learns with them and classifies text documents. The proposed method shows a similar degree of performance, compared with the traditional supervised teaming methods. Therefore, this method can be used in the areas where low-cost text categorization is needed. It can also be used for creating labeled training documents.

  • This paper investigates the teaching and learning of Linear function relating functional contexts and suggests the improved methods of representation-shift through this analysis. The methods emphasize the link between students' preacquired knowledge of mathematical representations and the way of using those. This methods are explanatory teaching, teaching and teaming based on modelling perspectives or tasks (interpretation, prediction, translation and scaling). We categorize the 8th grade middle school students' errors on the linear function relating real contexts and make a comparative study of the error-remedial effects and the teaching and teaming methods. We present the results of a study in which representation-shift methods based on modelling perspectives and tasks are more effective in terms of flexible connection of representations and error remediation. Also, We describe how students used modelling perspective-taking to explain and justify their conceptual models, to assess the quality of their models and to make connection to other mathematical representation during the problem solving focusing on the students' self-diagnosis.

The acquisition effect by measurement periods of adult learners learned through English pattern practice (영어 패턴 연습을 활용한 성인 학습자의 측정 시기별 습득 효과)

  • This study was carried out to find out the acquisition effect by measurement periods of adult learners learning through English pattern practice. The subjects of this study were divided into adult learner groups including the learners in their 40s and those who were over 65 and the child group who were 8 years old as a comparative group. After the subjects had a pre-test at first, person agreement and tense were instructed though English pattern practice and right after that, they had a post-test. Then 4 weeks later, they had a delayed test. As a result, the acquisition result of adult learners learning though English pattern practice showed the largest rise by those in their 40s and the learners of those over 65. However the adult learners aged over 65 showed the largest drop in delayed test of the reading comprehension. Based on these results, it is necessary to develop teaching method for adult learners in consideration of their characters and weak points.

  • 본 논문에서는 텍스트 문서의 주제어를 추출하고 문서를 주제별로 분류하기 위해 확률적 그래프 모델을 사용하는 방법을 제안하였다. 텍스트 문서 데이터를 문서와 단어의 쌍으로(dyadic)표현하여 확률적 생성 모델을 학습하였다. 확률적 그래프 모델의 학습에는 정의된 likelihood를 최대화하기 위한 EM(Expected Maximization)알고리즘을 사용하였다. TREC-8 AdHoc 텍스트 에이터에 대하여 학습된 확률 그래프 모델의 성능을 실험적으로 평가하였다. 이로부터 찾아 낸 문서에 대한 주제어가 사람이 제시한 주제어와 유사한 지와, 사람이 각 주제에 대해 분류한 문서가 이 확률모델로부터의 분류와 유사한 지를 실험적으로 검토하였다.

Fuzzy Supervised Learning Algorithm by using Self-generation (Self-generation을 이용한 퍼지 지도 학습 알고리즘)

  • In this paper, we consider a multilayer neural network, with a single hidden layer. Error backpropagation learning method used widely in multilayer neural networks has a possibility of local minima due to the inadequate weights and the insufficient number of hidden nodes. So we propose a fuzzy supervised learning algorithm by using self-generation that self-generates hidden nodes by the compound fuzzy single layer perceptron and modified ART1. From the input layer to hidden layer, a modified ART1 is used to produce nodes. And winner take-all method is adopted to the connection weight adaptation, so that a stored pattern for some pattern gets updated. The proposed method has applied to the student identification card images. In simulation results, the proposed method reduces a possibility of local minima and improves learning speed and paralysis than the conventional error backpropagation learning algorithm.

  • Although people want to learn guitar easily and happily, it is difficult to learn because many restriction comes from expense, student's efficiency and teacher/s skill. In this paper, the guitar teaching program has been developed for who is difficult to learn guitar fingering. The guitar teaching system with ATmega 128 was programed using visual studio MFC program. The guitar fingering U/I program was investigated for beginners easy to learn the code and playing with guitar.

  • 초등학교 어린이들의 글쓰기 자료를 수집하여 분석한 결과 각 학년마다 공통적으로 오류를 범하는 글자가 있었다. 수업시간 또는 수업 후에 개개의 어린이들에게 맞춤법지도를 하고 올바른 한글 사용법을 가르쳐야 하겠지만 여건상 모든 어린이들을 상대로 지도한다는 것은 사실상 어렵다. 따라서 공통적으로 오류를 범하는 글자를 조사하고 올바른 표현법으로 수정하여 학습자료로 제작하면 맞춤법 지도에 특별한 시간을 할애하지 않더라도 학습자 개개인이 개별학습용으로 사용할 수 있다. 본 연구의 목적은 웹을 이용하여 올바른 한글 맞춤법에 대하여 인터넷과 컴퓨터라는 공간에서 시간과 공간의 제약을 받지 않고 상호작용이 가능하도록 구현하여 한글맞춤법 학습활동이 자기 주도적으로 이루어지도록 하는데 있으며 나아가 올바르게 한글을 사용하도록 태도를 형성하는데 있다.

Fuzzy RBF Network using FCM (FCM을 이용한 퍼지 RBF 네트워크)

  • RBF 네트워크의 중간층은 클러스터링하는 층이다. 즉, 이 충의 목적은 주어진 자료 집합을 유사한 클러스터들(homogenous cluster)로 분류하는 것이다. 여기서 유사하다는 것은 입력 데이터들에 대한 특징 벡터 공간사이에서 한 클러스터내의 벡터들 간에 거리를 측정하여 정해진 반경 내에 존재하면 같은 클러스터로 분류하고 정해진 반경 내에 존재하지 않으면 다른 클러스터로 분류한다. 그러나 정해진 반경 내에서 클러스터링하는 것은 잘못된 클러스터를 선택하는 단점을 가지게 된다. 그러므로 중간층을 결정하는 .것은 RBF 네트워크의 전반적인 효율성에 큰 영향을 준다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 효율적으로 중간층을 결정하기 위한 방법으로 퍼지 C-Means 클러스터링 알고리즘을 적용한 퍼지 RBF 네트워크를 제안한다. 제안된 퍼지 RBF 네트워크의 학습은 크게 두 단계로 구분된다. 첫 번째 단계는 입력층과 중간층 사이에 퍼지 C-Means 알고리즘이 수행되고, 두 번째 단계는 중간층과 출력층 사이에 지도학습이 수행된다. 제안된 방법의 학습 성능을 평가하기 위하여 실제 주민등록증에서 추출한 숫자패턴에 적용한 결과, 기존의 RBF네트워크 보다 학습 성능이 개선된 것을 확인하였다.
