A Distance Education System for Supporting Learners' Interaction (학습자 주도의 상호작용을 지원하는 원격 교육시스템)

  • With progress of informationalization, education has been transformed from traditional uni-direction education to bi-directional and consumer-oriented education, which is performed by learner's self study and interactive education of multiple dimension between a learner and contents, between a learner and a teacher, and between a learner and a learner irrespective of space-time. According to this trend, a new education method has been required. Therefore, in this paper, we will propose real-time consumer-oriented distance education system of making interaction maximum using WBI. In this system, a learner can participate in an individual study case by multiple interaction with a learner's designing and plaining study, and also participate in group study case by way of discussion and conversation among participants.

  • 본 연구는 학습자 중심의 구성주의 학습 모형인 문제중심학습( Problem-Based Learning: PBL) 모형 개발을 통한 효과적인 HTML 학습 방안의 탐색을 위해 수행되었다. 초등학생이 HTML( Hyper Text Markup Language )학습을 통해 프로그래밍을 학습할 때 단순문법을 익히는 것을 넘어 프로그래밍 언어를 자율적이고 창의적으로 활용하기 위해서는 고차원적인 자기 주도적 학습 능력과 문제 해결 능력이 요구된다. 이를 위해 본 논문은 문제중심학습의 기존모형들이 갖고 있는 특징을 기반으로 하여 개발되었다. 본 연구의 문제중심학습의 절차는 문제와의 만남- 문제의 해결 전략 세우기- 문제 해결을 위한 정보수집- 문제의 해결 -평가 단계와 같다. 학습과정 에세이 기록을 통해 학습절차를 설계하고 과정을 돌이킬 수 있으며 피드백 과정을 통하여 학습의 결손을 방지하도록 하였다. 구성주의 학습 모형인 문제중심학습(PBL)을 HTML 언어교육에 적용 할 경우 학습자의 자기 주도적 학습 능력과 의사소통능력, 창의력 논리력을 키울 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

  • 스마트 미디어 기기의 보급으로 많은 교육용 어플리케이션이 개발되고 있으며, SNS를 교육적 접근으로 활용한 학습모델의 사례들이 늘어나고 있는 추세이다. 현대 정보화 사회에서 요구되는 학습자 중심의 구성주의 교육 패러다임에 초점을 맞춰 학습자 스스로 학습콘텐츠를 구성하며 자기주도적 학습을 하기 위한 시스템 개발을 위해 본 논문에서는 소셜러닝 기반의 학습자 중심형 학습콘텐츠 개발도구의 설계방법에 대해 제시하고자 한다.

  • The purpose of the research is to assure the effect of learner-centered instruction driven from the constructivism. The school in participation of the research is one of them called "achievement increase intensive school". Quasi-experimental design is applied for the research. Some conclusions were drawn from the research. Experimental group' achievements of both "learned contents" and "none learned contents" were more superior than ones gained from comparative group with statistically significant difference. The results implied that learner-centered instruction is effective for students who have low achievements from standards tests.

  • In this paper we propose mechanism for course scheduling of learner-oriented using weakness analysis algorithm. The proposed mechanism monitors learner's behaviors constantly evaluates them and calculates his accomplishment. From this accomplishment the schedules the suitable course for the learner. The learner achieves an active and complete learning from the repeated and suitable course.

On Student's Immersion in Learner-Centered Instruction (학습자 중심 수업과 학생들의 수업에의 몰입에 관한 소고)

  • In this paper, some factors such as the perspective of children, instructional materials(especially activities in textbooks for elementary school mathematics), and teacher's questioning styles are discussed as ones influenced on students' immersion in leaner-centered instruction. This discussion is based on the author's two implementations of the kind of two instructions. About the first theme, constructivists assert that even children who are in elementary school can have reflective abstracting ability. Teachers' asking questions with the belief differ from ones with traditional perspective of children, which is relevant the third factor. They value and respect learners' thinking outcomes, even though they are not sometimes wrong and have errors. Also, they have them opportunities to think different from others and to ask how they get their answers. To do these, they frequently ask open-ended questions, not closed. All of them is possible through the activities provided in textbooks. Some characteristics which can prompt such teacher's questions using activities in elementary mathematics textbooks are discussed.

Effect of Cooperative Skill Training on Problem Based Learning for Science Class (지구과학 문제중심학습에서 협동기술 훈련의 효과)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of cooperative skill training on problem based learning for elementary school science class. Two experiment groups were involved, in which problem based learning model was used and control group, in which traditional instruction was employed. One of experiment groups was trained in cooperative skills before the instruction. The results demonstrated a significant main effect in the scores of achievement and a significant interaction effect between the instructional strategies and learning ability level. The performance of high-level students in the two experimental groups was higher than that of control group. However, the performance of medium and low-level students trained with cooperative skills training was higher than that of students without cooperative skills training. A significant main effect was also found in self-esteem, but there was no significant interaction between instructional strategies and learning ability. Therefore, this study suggests that cooperative skills training is of great importance for minimizing the free-rider effect and increasing collaborative interaction in cooperative learning.

Teachers' Recognition of the Problems in Mathematics Education and Development of Math Textbooks from the Perspective of Learner-Centered Education (학습자 중심 교육의 관점에서 교사들의 수학교육의 문제점 인식과 수학 모델 교과서 개발)

  • As people get to aware that the traditional teacher-centered education can not develop individual students' diversity and creativity and cope with the rapidly changing future society, Korean government has emphasized the learner-centered education since the 7th curriculum. Under this background, we have analyzed the problems of mathematics education that teachers recognized and the features of mathematics textbooks that they developed within the framework of leaner-centered education on the basis of the resources developed from 'Student-centered mathematics textbook improvement teacher research group in 2015.' As a result of using the framework of 'Learner-centered psychological principles (APA, 1997)' for analysis, teachers pointed out the problems related to the principles of Motivational and emotional influences on learning, Individual differences in learning, Developmental influences on learning, Nature of the learning process, and Construction of knowledge, in order. The features of textbook teachers developed reflected the principles of Nature of the learning process, Construction of knowledge, and Motivational and emotional influences on learning, in order. Finally, as we have compared teachers' recognition of the problems with the features of the textbooks developed, most of the problems teachers recognized are reflected in the textbooks; however, the Cognitive and metacognitive factor takes higher possession on the textbooks compared with the problems being recognized, and the Motivational and affective factor takes lower possession on the textbooks compared with the problems being recognized. Accordingly, we have been able to search for the solution to realize the learner-centered education through math textbooks.

  • Problem-Based Learning(PBL) is one of constructionism's model which is learner-centered learning. In this paper, a role-play base PBL using character is proposed to study importance of information security. It is different from the other PBL models in that it reflects the characteristics of learners, learning task. And it is learning support system which the learners preside their own learning activities using Internet and mobile devices. By experimental result showed that proposed method was more effective than traditional teacher-oriented teaching method about information security in self-directed learning, cooperative learning, contents-making and attraction.

  • 급속한 정보통신 기술의 발달은 교육에서도 새로운 패러다임을 요구하고 있다. 수동적이며, 일방적인 교육 시스템에서 즉각적인 피드백과 학습자의 자기주도적인 학습패턴을 지원하는 교수-학습 및 평가 시스템을 요구하는 것이다. 본 논문에서는 기존의 문제 출제 중심의 평가시스템이 학습내용의 정 오답만을 평가하고, 적절한 피드백을 제시하지 못하는 단점을 보완하여 질적인 피드백을 지원하는 문제 출제 중심의 웹기반 교육평가시스템을 구현하였다. 학습자의 평가결과를 분석하여 문제출제의 난이도를 재조정하며, 학습자의 학습결손과 선수학습에 대한 정보를 제공하여 학습자로 하여금 적극적이며, 능동적인 학습 진행의 주체자 역할을 가능하게 한다.
