An Empirical Study on the Effect of Korean Wave on the Brand Loyalty of Korean Products in Chinese Market (중국시장에 있어서 한류효과가 한국제품의 브랜드 충성도에 미치는 영향에 관한 실증적 연구)

  • The mid-20th century witnessed a wide spread of Korean culture in Japan, China and Southeast Asia and China now has become the biggest trade partner and export market, as well as the No. 1 source of import and the biggest investment country of Korea. With the spreading of the Korean popular culture in China, brand loyalty to Korean products is improved. Taking the Chinese market as the basis, this research aims to make an analysis of the implications of 'Korean Wave', Korean advertisements and the image of Korea on brand loyalty to cosmetics made in Korea. To achieve the research aim, questionnaires were used in conducting the survey, mainly in Beijing. Excluding the invalid ones, altogether 180 questionnaires were collected, based on which an empirical analysis was carried out on the correlation between 'Korean Wave', effects of Korean advertisements, image of Korea, brand recognition, and brand loyalty to products made in Korea. The major analyzing tools are SPSS 20.0 and AMOS 20.0. The findings are as follows: 1. Korean films, dramas, and attachment for Korean movie stars (representative of 'Korean Wave') all have a positive influence on brand loyalty. Recognition of the country image of Korea, to some extent, also has positive implications on brand recognition. 2. Empirical analysis assists in the testing of the degree of recognition and attachment of cosmetics made in Korea, as well as brand loyalty to them.

A Study on the Students' Needs for the Improvement of Liberal Arts Curriculum : Focused on the Case of J University (교양교육과정 개선을 위한 학생 요구 분석: J대학 사례를 중심으로)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze students' needs for improving the liberal arts curriculum at J University. In order to achieve such as this, 422 students from 11 departments of J University's two campuses looked at the core goals of 1 liberal arts education, 2 core competences that they think should be achieved in the liberal arts curriculum, 3 subject areas of the liberal arts curriculum they wish to open, 4 hopeful subjects, and 5 urgent tasks in reforming liberal arts education. The results are as follows. First, male students were most likely to point out the achievement of core competency as a key goal of liberal arts education. Second, the core competences to be achieved in the liberal arts curriculum were found to place importance on communication and interpersonal relations, character, self-care development and job creation skills. Third, there was a high percentage of people who wanted to open a curriculum in the field of arts and sports. Fourth, liberal arts courses that wish to be opened appeared in the order of women's studies or feminism, sports related subjects, philosophy, and psychology. The results of this study could be used as basic data for the revision of the J University liberal arts curriculum.

Science Experience's Type and Meaning of Korean Middle School-Science Gifted Students in Parent.School.Out-of-School Institution (중학교 과학 영재들의 부모.학교.학교 밖 교육 기관에서의 과학 경험의 유형과 그 의미)

  • The Study aimed to observe Science Experience's Type in parent school out of school institution and Meaning of Middle School- Science Gifted Students in Korea. Twelve middle school gifted education institution and science high school students participated in this study. Data source was retrospective and in-depth interviews with individuals. Results were as follows. First, science experience with parents influenced interest and inquiring mind in science, choice of career in field of science. Second, science experience in school curriculum recognized that gifted students have talents of themselves in science and changed in Attitude toward science from science teacher. Third, science experience with education institution for out of school curriculum changed interest in science from Experiment for identified scientific knowledge and obtained new product through creative inquiry process. Furthermore, It was gained self-confidence, feel a sense of accomplishment and a challenging, the spirit of team work including of taking lead the team.

Risk Factors for Allergic Diseases in School-Aged Children (알레르기 질환을 가진 초등학교 고학년의 식생활·환경적 요인 및 성장과의 관련성 분석)

  • Allergies are one of the most common chronic diseases during childhood. While the prevalence of allergic disease in children is increasing dramatically, few studies have evaluated the risk and preventive factors related to this health condition, especially in South Korea. The purpose of this case-control study was to evaluate independent determinants of allergic disease, and to examine whether it is associated with growth and other health conditions in childhood. The current study included 209 cases and 311 age and sex-matched controls (fifth and sixth graders) residing in Daegu, South Korea. Environmental data was collected, including child and family histories of allergies, birth information, and reaction to weaning foods during infancy. In addition, current dietary habits (assessed by 2 day-24 hr food records), health conditions, and anthropometric data were obtained through questionnaires and student health check-ups at the school. Based on chi-square tests, cases had a significantly higher prevalence of having a disease at birth, an allergic reaction to weaning foods, frequent hospital visits, and frequent experiences of the common cold and digestive diseases. In addition, significantly more mothers had a higher education in the cases compared to controls. Based on multivariable conditional logistic regression analysis, factors significantly associated with greater odds for having allergies were parental (OR=21.42) and fraternal (OR=14.40) histories of allergies. The anthropometric measures showed that cases tended to be shorter in height and lighter in weight than the controls, but these differences were not statistically significant. These findings may indicate that current nutrient intakes may not be the only critical factor associated with delayed growth delay in the allergic group. A well-planned, large cohort study is warranted to confirm our findings in the future.

The Relationship among Calling of the University Career Center Counselor, Client Perception of Counselor, and Working Alliance (대학취업센터 상담자의 소명, 내담자의 상담자 지각, 작업동맹 간의 관계)

  • This study was conducted on the counselors who work in university job centers and visiting students to analyze the relationship among counselors' calling, visitors' perception of counselors and work alliance perceived by the visitors and counselors. The data were collected from 110 counselors who are in charge of career counseling in university job centers and 208 visitors to the center, on which multiple regression analysis was performed. The results of this study are as follows. First, counselors' calling had positive effect on work alliance perceived by counselors (β=.48, p < .01) with explanatory power of 25%. Counselors' calling had positive effect on work alliance perceived by visitors (β=.21, p < .01) with explanatory power of 7%. Second, counselors' calling had positive effect on visitors' perception of counselors (β=.21, p < .01) with explanatory power of 8%. Through these results, this study found out that counselors with high level of calling tend to form great work alliance while visitors tend to perceive that counselors with high level of calling are professional, trustworthy and likable.

Analysis and Application of Nursing Management Practicum Case Simulation for Developing Performance-Centered Education (성과중심 교육과정 개발을 위한 간호관리실습 사례시뮬레이션 적용 및 내용 분석)

  • The purpose of this study was to develop a nursing management case simulation (NMCS) framework based on the five components of nursing management process and to apply it to clinical nursing practice of nursing college students. The subjects of this study were NMCS reports submitted by the 4th grade 105 nursing students of an university. The research tool is a simulation framework for nursing management practice. It reflects the brainstorming and debriefing process used in the previous simulation exercise based on the five elements of planning, organization, human resource management, directing and control of the nursing management process respectively. As a result of the study, 32 nursing management cases were found to have 79.6% correct rate, 11.6% concept error rate, and 5.6% classification error rate in the first brainstorming and debriefing process for the five components of nursing management process. On the other hand, in the second brainstorming and debriefing process, 94.6% correct rate, 0.0% concept error rate, and 4.4% classification error rate. Based on these results, the NMCS framework developed in this study can be applied to the nursing management theory and practice course of nursing college students as well as simulation based job training and maintenance educations for clinical nurses. Therefore, we propose follow-up studies in various clinical nursing settings and a longitudinal cohort study to investigate the effect of nursing management job skills of nursing college students after graduation.

A Study on the Educational Needs and the Review of the Validity of the Establishment for Invention Gifted School (발명영재학교의 교육수요 진단 및 설립 타당성 검토 연구)

  • The purposes of this research were to review the validity and to investigated educational needs of the establishment for invention gifted school. And this study was conducted on the establishment plan through diagnosis necessity and validity of the establishment for invention gifted school. The methodes of this study were review, investigation researches, workshop, expert review for validity and a seminar. The results was as follows: First, the invention gifted school presented distinctive curriculum and instruction methods. The curriculum focus on engineering, technology, invention, problem solving, and STEM. And it presented scenario on the establishment of invention gifted school from the viewpoint of necessity and distinction. Second, the invention gifted school investigated high-level transition from demand of education of students and their parents. Third, the necessity level was higher than the validity and feasibility with expert assessment. But, before the establishment of the invention gifted school institute will review pre-requirements and hinder factors.

A Study of Indoor Air Quality of School Classrooms (일부 학교 교실의 실내공기질 특성에 관한 연구)

  • The aim of this study is to analyze the IAQ concentrations of school rooms. In this study we measured and characterized IAQ at 440 school rooms from May 2009 to November 2012. At some school rooms, the PM10 concentrations exceeded the IAQ guidelines (100μg/m3) of the Ministry of Education. CO2 concentrations at high schools were 1.18 and 1.06 times higher than that of the elementary and middle schools, respectively. CO2 concentrations of some school rooms were exceeded the IAQ guidelines (1,000 ppm). Moreover, TBC concentrations at elementary school rooms were 1.23 and 1.33 times higher than that of the middle schools and high schools, respectively. TBC and HCHO concentrations did not exceed the IAQ guidelines. The classroom/non-classroom ratio of PM10 was 1.06, while that CO2 was 1.04, HCHO was 0.62, and TBC was 1.16.

A Study on the Type of Reading Aloud Performance for Children (어린이를 위한 낭독공연의 유형 연구)

  • A reading aloud performance is an activity in which the actors convey the meaning of the play to the audience through reading the play without memorizing the play. Although this term has been used for a long time, it can be said in the early 2000s that Korea began to pay attention to reading aloud performance in the cultural world. As the theater education is strengthened in the 2015 revision curriculum, interest in this "reading aloud performance" is also growing. In this article, we analyzed the reading aloud performance of the 8th contemporary Japanese drama '2018' in order to utilize the reading aloud performance in the educational field and to utilize it in the lecture of the children education. There are two types of rehearsals for the actors on stage: 'Reading by watching drama', 'Playing by memorizing drama', and 'Mixing two types'. In the end, the key is that there is no set rule for the type of reading aloud performance. It's not trouble to see or not to see the play. It is not necessary to have a stereotype that you should do a proper reading aloud performance in consideration of your situation, but that you should do this. If children understand the concept of read aloud performance in a flexible way, the educational effect will be greater. Based on this analysis, we suggested 'not sticking to the form of reading aloud performance' and 'choosing various types of reading aloud performance' as a criterion for applying to the education field for children. In addition, the sub-criteria required for selecting 'various types of lecture performances' include' selecting a specific scene in the content of the play ',' considering the level or situation of the student ',' not hesitating to make a new type of lecture performance '. I hope that this article will be a stepping stone to revitalize the discussion in the educational world where discussion on the performance of reading aloud is requested, and to solve the problem of lack of educational design due to lack of theory.

The Effects of Supplementary Education Awareness on Interpersonal Communication for Health Care Providers (종합병원 의료인의 교육훈련 인식이 의료인 상호간 커뮤니케이션에 미치는 영향)

  • This study was conducted to identify the effects of interpersonal communication between health care providers after receiving supplementary education. The participants of this study were 433 health care providers who work at 29 general hospitals in Gwangju Metropolitan City and Jeollanamdo Province. Data were collected from June 8 to June 25, 2018 and evaluated by t-tests, dispersion analysis, correlation analysis and stepwise regression. The results were produced by investigating interpersonal communications according to socio-demographic and health-related characteristics including age, education level, bed size of the hospital at which the participant worked, job satisfaction, hospital location, personal health status, experience with health care management and experience with depression. There were significant differences in communication observed according to supplemental education awareness regarding age, bed size of hospital, occupation, wage, type of medical institution of employment, job satisfaction, work location, health status, health care education experience and chronic disease. There were positive correlations between supplemental education awareness in health workers and their interpersonal communication. The factors that had positive effects on interpersonal communication were level of education and health-related education experience, while age, hospital bed size and job dissatisfaction had negative effects. Finally, support environment, learning transfer and results were identified as sub-factors of supplemental education. Based on the results above, it was proposed that educational training to enhance results, provide a supportive environment and foster learning transfer be developed to increase communication between health workers and provide a safe health service for patients.
