Examining the Intellectual Structure of a Medical Informatics Journal with Author Co-citation Analysis and Co-word Analysis (저자동시인용 분석과 동시출현단어 분석을 이용한 의료정보학 저널의 지적구조 분석)

  • Due to the development of science and technology, the convergence of various disciplines has been fostered. Accordingly, interdisciplinary studies have increasingly been expanded by integrating knowledge and methodology from different disciplines. The primary focus of biblimetric methods is on investigating the intellectual structure a field, and analysis of the characterization of interdisciplinary studies is overlooked. In this study, we aim to identify the intellectual structure of the field of medical informatics through author co-citation analysis and co-word analysis by the representative journal "IEEE ENG MED BIOL." In addition, we examine authors and MeSH Terms of top three representative journals for further analysis of the field. We examine the intellectual structure of the medical informatics field by author and word clusters to identify the network structure of medical informatics disciplines.

Development of Convergence Education Program for 'Understanding of Molecular Structure' using Machine Learning Educational Platform (머신러닝 교육 플랫폼 활용 '분자 구조의 이해'를 위한 융합교육 프로그램 개발)

  • In this study, an educational program was developed so that artificial intelligence could be used as a transdisciplinary convergence education with other disciplines. The main educational content is designed for 8 hours using machine learning to help students understand the molecular structure dealt with in high school chemistry. The program developed in this study calculated the I-CVI (Item Content Validity Index) value through expert review, and as a result, none of the items were rejected with a score of .80 or higher. Because the program of this study combines the content elements of the chemistry subject and the information (artificial intelligence) subject academically, it is expected that the learner will be able to increase the convergence talent literacy. In addition, since it is not required to secure a additional number of hours for this educational program, the burden on teachers may be low.

  • Humanity's sustainability issues have long been discussed, and the World Commission on Environment and Development (WCED) in 1987 proposed the concept of sustainable development and became a global issue. In September 2015, we announced the latest goals for sustainable development at the UN's 70th General Assembly to address social problems and achieve mature economic growth. In order to achieve social, economic and environmental sustainability goals, parallel development of various disciplines is required. However, existing disciplines are limited in supporting sustainable development due to inherent nature. This study proposes to revitalize service science research as a way to overcome limitations of existing studies, and suggests that sustainable development goals can be achieved through convergence with service science and existing disciplines. Modern economic societies need the evolutionary development of individual disciplines because the paradigm shifts from the existing tangible environment to the intangible environment, the boundary between industries is dismantled, and the boundaries between disciplines disappear. In particular, sustainable development goals require a convergent approach, so convergence service science research is useful. In this study, we analyze economics, business administration, pedagogy, sociology which are representative of related to sustainable development and suggest the necessity of introduction of service science. Through this study, the development of service science and interdisciplinary research in existing academic fields will be activated.

사회진화현상으로서의 융합의 전개 및 방향성

  • 현재 진행되고 있는 과학기술의 융합현상은 여러 학문분과와 기술간 융합이 동시다발적으로 집적화되어 나타난다는 점에서 하나의 패러다임적 전환을 예고하고 있다. 특히 IT, BT, 나노 분야간 융합이 활발하게 일어나고 있으며, IT기술은 기술간 융합을 매개하는 인프라로서의 역할이 두드러지게 나타나고 있다. 도래하는 융합기술경제패러다임에서 국가경쟁력을 지속하기 위해서는 교육, 연구조직 및 관리, 금융, 정책 등의 차원에서 개방형의 융합친화적인 사회제도적 틀의 구축이 반드시 병행되어야 한다.

  • 학문 간의 전통적 경계가 허물어지고, 기술 융합이 경제체제와 사회구조를 급격히 변화시키는 4차 산업혁명시대가 다가오고 있다. 스마트제조(smart manufacturing)는 인간, 기술, 정보의 융합을 통해 제조업의 전략적 혁신을 도모하고자 하는 패러다임으로서 ICT와 제조기술을 융합하고자 하는 기술이다. 또한 스마트공장(smart factory)은 이러한 기술 융합을 통하여 공장의 설비, 장비와 공정이 지능화되어 네트워크로 연결되고, 생산데이터와 정보가 실시간으로 공유 활용되어 최적화된 생산운영이 가능한 공장으로, 공장 간의 협업적인 운영이 지속되는 지능형 ICT융합 제조시스템을 말한다. 이 글에서는 제조업 ICT융합과 스마트화, 그리고 스마트공장의 개념, 구성과 관련 동향에 대해 소개하고자 한다.

In Search of Narrative Science as a Convergence Discipline and its Implication and Direction (융·복합 학문으로서 내러티브 과학의 시사점 및 방향 탐구)

  • Until now, Academic disciplines were categorized according to the standards of the National Research Foundation of Korea, and this categorization has contributed to the development of each disciplines. However, as time goes by, there is a need for a transition to the new trends, convergence. Therefore, to suggest the resolution for pre-existing phenomenon and problems, this study explored the concept and traits of narrative science as a convergence discipline and discussed its implications and tasks. Narrative Science is a human science, based on narrative epistemology, and it focuses on human's interpretation, communication, and inter-subjectivity. Narrative Science has many inner structures per trait, and it provides pre-existing disciplines with narrativistic inter-relation. It also pays attention to human's inner areas. For the development of Narrative Science in the future, it should be free from a misunderstanding as a narratology discipline or a methodology of qualitative research. Under this change, Narrative Science discipline areas should be fused in the perspective of human science, based on narrative philosophy and psychology.

해외지역 연구를 위한 지식지도시스템 설계

  • 최근에 디지털융합에 대한 연구가 활발히 진행되면서 디지털융합의 한 분야인 전자문화지도는 연구자들의 학문연구방법으로도 활용되고 있다. 전자문화지도는 특정지역의 문화를 나타내기 위해 지도를 인터페이스로 활용하여 점, 선, 면 등 다양한 방법으로 지도위에 정보화된 데이터를 나타낸다. 본 논문에서는 지도의 특성을 효율적으로 활용할 수 있도록 특정지역연구를 위한 연구방법으로 활용할 수 있는 지식지도시스템을 설계한다. 세부적으로 해외지역 가운데 지중해지역을 중심으로 시스템을 설계하며 지중해지역과 관련된 연구결과물에 대한 요약정보를 주제, 지역, 시간값의 매핑을 통해 제공한다. 본 시스템은 학문동향에 관한 정보를 효율적으로 제공함으로써 인문 지역학 연구자들의 연구방법으로 활용하고자 한다.

  • 나노기술은 특정의 기술 영역에 속하는 것이 아닌, 나노크기 수준의 물질(소재)이나 부품 또는 소자, 시스템(기계) 등 거의 모든 기술 영역과 관련되어 있는, 응용의 성격이 강한 기술이다. 나노기술 개발 수준은 국가 간, 혹은 기업 간의 경쟁력을 결정할 중요한 요인 중 하나로 자리잡을 것이며, 나노기술의 현황과 발전 양상의 분석은 기술 기반 산업의 미래를 위해서도 꼭 필요한 연구의 주제일 것이다. 본 연구에서는 논문의 서지정보를 통해 최근 국내에서 연구되고 있는 나노기술 중 나노소재 분야의 융합도를 측정하고, 그 결과에 대한 시사점을 제시하고자 한다. 나노소재기술과의 융합은 주로 다학제과학과 화학, 물리학 등 응용분야가 넓고 여러 학문을 포괄적으로 수용할 수 있는 학문에서 많이 발생하였고, 그 외 전기전자, 엔지니어링 분야와의 융합 역시 발견할 수 있었다. 내부중심성과 융합도와의 연관성에 대한 연구가 더욱 활발히 이루어져 그 설명력을 높일 수 있다면, 현실적합성을 획득하여 과학정책과 기술발전에 방향성을 제시하는 하나의 모형이 될 수 있으리라 기대한다.

A Convergence Dilemma of Lifelong Education for the Persons with Disabilities in Korea (한국 장애인 평생교육의 융합 딜레마)

  • The purpose of this study was to specifically explore the dilemma posed by lifelong education for the disabled in Korea at the point of convergence. Research to achieve the research objectives consisted of areas that should be considered in developing and implementing support systems for lifelong education for the disabled. The outcome of the area consisted of five things: convergence dilemmas in fields, convergence dilemmas in institutions, convergence dilemmas in eligibility, convergence dilemmas in disability areas, and convergence dilemmas in national administration. And the five areas were considered by interlinked views and contexts. Based on the results of the study, the university's special education department (including vocational special education) was concluded and considered with emphasis on strengthening the role functions of the university's special education system for the support system for lifelong education for the disabled, including the preconditions for establishing the academic identity of lifelong education for the disabled. Through this ideal, it is worth suggesting that the academic identity of lifelong education for the disabled should be established as appropriate based on convergence between the categories of lifelong education and special education based on the practical nature and context of education for the Korean.

  • 'Healthcare 3.0' paradigm, which comes from the convergence of medical and department of ICT(Information and Communication Technology), meets the government's 'creative economy'. It has emerged as new higher value-added markets and industries, created jobs, and got the 'land of opportunity'. Despite of the global recession, the health care market in the world from 2009 to now has earned a steady growth. The annual growth rate in domestic industrial scale is expected to more than 10% higher based on 153 trillion won in 2010. In particular, combination of health care and ICT, BT(BioTechnology), NT(NanoTtechnology), which is so called 'super-convergence', leap in the health care industry, is expected to open up a new paradigm. In addition, by 2020 all of the health care industry, the IT convergence industries account for the largest proportion, and more than 50,000 of the employment are to be expected. In this study, we survey and analyze problems of medical and IT convergence technology, the future of the medical and health care industry, the demanded healthcare IT staff, finally suggest education plan of human resources required in convergence industry of medical and IT.
