A Study of Teaching Methods Using Metaphor in Mathematics (은유를 활용한 수학 학습 지도 방안 연구)

  • This study is centered on the application of metaphor theory to math education from the cognitive-linguistic view. This study, at first, introduced what metaphor is, and looked into it from the math-educational view. Furthermore, on the basis of that, this study examined the significance of metaphor to math education, and dealt with its relevance to math education, focusing on the functions that metaphor has. This study says that metaphor has the function of explanation, elaboration and representation. In addition, this study examplifies that using metaphor can be an effective math learning strategy for mathematical concept explanation, mathematical connection and mathematical representation learning.

  • Currently the mose used software to make presentation is Powerpoint. But a few learners only can use that program to present. Lately free software called Prezi is available to many users. Prezi is free to general users. To evaluate the experiences of making presentaion by Powerpoint and Prezi effects on the learning motive is the purpose of study. In conclusion, my goal of this study is that by using convenient Prezi, I would like to prove that it will really analyze the learning motives(attention, relevance, confidence, satisfaction) when learners is being thaught through Prezi not unuseful Powerpoint.

  • In this study, in order to use history of mathematics in mathematical learning effectively, we investigate application of history of mathematics shown textbooks in simultaneous equations. History of Mathematics can be used in order to enhance comprehension and increase interest in an introduction to the simultaneous equations. It also can be used to help motivate middle school students to solve the simultaneous equations with much interest during the development phase, and develope open thinking and reflective thinking in the enrichment learning.

The Features of Contents and Structures of Mathematics Curriculum of China (중국 수학 교육과정의 내용과 구성 방식의 특징)

  • China becomes more and more important for Koreans in political and social aspects as well as in educational aspect. However, there hasn't been any study regarding the mathematics curriculum of China. Thus, it is necessary to introduce the recent mathematics curriculum of China, compare the curriculum of China with that of Korea, and find the features of the curriculum. Several characteristics of the mathematics curriculum of China were identified; 1) mathematics strands were combined, 2) condensed and linear structure of contents, 3) providing examples for mathematics topics stated in the curriculum, and etc. Based on these characteristics, some implications were elicited for the next mathematics curriculum revision in Korea.

  • This article tried to review the meaning and implication of six stages theory of learning mathematics suggested by Zoltan Dienes in "Building up Mathematics" in 1971. It was not much concretely known to Korean mathematics education society. In particular, there is no mathematical example which could cover all the stages to know what the theory tells. So this article focused on the example which Dienes developed for learning integers in 2000 to dig the theory. As a result, some critical aspects and problems of six stages theory were found. And finally educational implication was described.

그래프 마법사와 함수교육

  • 최근 10 여년 동안 교육 현장의 각 부분에 여러 가지 종류의 테크놀로지가 도입되면서, 교육의 내용과 방법에 있어서 점진적인 변화가 나타나고 있다. 예를들어, 수학 과목에 있어서는 그래픽 계산기, 도형 및 기하 학습 프로그램, 스프레드 시트, 함수 그래픽 프로그램 등의 도입으로 교과 과정 전반에 걸친 변화가 일고 있는데, 처음에는 이들 테크놀로지가 단순히 기존의 수업에서 수많은 반복을 요하거나, 지필식 방식으로는 정확하게 나타내기 어려운 도형이나 그래프를 빠르고 정확하게 그려내주는 보조수단으로 사용되었지만, 시간이 지나면서 이들 테크놀로지에 대한 활용도가 높아지게 되고, 이들 테크놀로지에 대한 교사들의 활용능력이 증대됨에 다라서, 이러한 테크놀로지가 단순한 보조수단에 머무르지 않고 주지에 기술이나 개념을 설명하는 방법 자체를 변화시키고 있다. 예를들어, 함수 교육에 있어서 그래픽 프로그램이 사용될 때에도, 초기 단계에서는 이들 함수의 개념을 설명할 때에는 거의 집합론이나 대수학적인 방법을 이용하였고, 최종 단계로 이들 함수를 좌표계 위에 표현하기 위한 보조수단으로 잠깐씩 사용되는 경우가 대부분이었으나, 최근들어서는 함수 학습의 초기과정부터 곧바로 이들 그래프 프로그램을 적극적으로 도입하여 학습자로 하여금 다양한 그래프 조작을 하게 함으로써, 어려운 집합론이나 대수학적인 개념을 도입하지 않고서도 함수에 대한 개념을 시각적으로 직관적으로 파악하도록 하는 학습 방안들이 제시되고 있는 것이다. 본 고에서는 현행 중고등학교 함수 교육 과정에서 그래프에 대한 다양한 조작 기능을 제공함으로써 학습자로 하여금, 제시되는 함수에 대한 시각적이고 직관적인 이미지를 가질 수 있도록 하기 위해서 개발된 ‘그래프 마법사’라는 프로그램을 소개하고자 한다.

  • 본 프로젝트는 Unity3D Tool 기반의 가상 체험용 VR 프로젝트를 설계하고 개발하였다. 프로젝트의 핵심 기능 및 환경은 게임 제작용 툴인 Unity를 사용하여 웹과 모바일 앱에서 다양하게 접근할 수 있도록 제작하였다. 웹에서는 키보드와 마우스로 제어하고 모바일 앱에서는 자체 컨트롤러 기능을 활용하여 이동 및 제어 처리하였다. 그리고 VR 장치를 활용한 앱 컨트롤러는 시선으로 제어 할 수 있도록 하였다. 프로젝트 활용환경의 공통적인 기능으로는 화면 중앙에 위치한 이동 포인터를 액션 이미지에 일정 시간 올려놓으면 이벤트가 발생하는 레이케스트 기능을 사용하였다. 건물 내부를 표현한 파노라마 이미지는 해당하는 각 장소마다 360' 카메라를 사용하여 촬영하여 기능을 구현하였다. 본 프로젝트는 다양한 네트워크 및 컴퓨팅 환경에서 활용할 수 있는 가상 체험 프로젝트이다. 가상 체험을 통해 가상공간에서 거리, 공간, 시간에 구애받지 않고 학교 소개 및 홍보를 위한 마케팅 효과를 가질 것이다.

A case study on the building of integrated CCTV control center at Busan metropolitan city (부산광역시 CCTV통합관제센터구축 사례연구)

  • Public agencies and local governments have been installing CCTV cameras for the prevention of crime, traffic jam, and unauthorized waste. Additionally, national government agencies and schools, a special corporation by special law, local construction and industrial company installed CCTV cameras of their own and are operating them. Various types of CCTV systems disclosed technical heterogeneity. In February, 2011, Ministry of Public Administration and Security presented guidelines for building an integrated control center. This study examines the case of Busan by using the administrative guidelines. Busan integrated CCTV control center among themselves, police agency and fire department. This study looks into the potential problems with the integration process of CCTV cameras and proposes a solution to them.

  • The purpose of this study is to design and materialize the simulated courseware which is based on new educational environments and student-based education. The scope of this study is reflection and refraction of in the physics of high school. This paper introduce the theoretical background of courseware and investigate the structure and process of the teaching-theory by visualized computer simulation. We applied the basic concept about the reflection and refraction of light and explained the simulated images of spherical mirror and lens with the principles expressions and relative image forms. The last we simulated the various kinds of the images, shapes and distance of the images by changing the distance of object and focus which are made by computer simulation.

  • The visual cryptography scheme is a simple method which can be decoded directly the secret information in human visual system without performing any cryptographic computations. For some secret of image type, we scatter them to random n images and if any threshold (or more) of them are stacked together then original image is visible. In this paper we consider (2,n) visual cryptography scheme and show a construction method of the sample matrix using the rule of binomial coefficients $_nC_2$. This scheme can contribute interesting and effectiveness to the study of mathematics.
