  • 공공도서관과 학교도서관이 긴밀한 연관성을 유지하면서 그들의 모든 시설, 자료, 인력 등을 서로 나누어 활용하는 상호협력활동은 양질의 봉사프로그램을 제공할 수 있고 조화로운 공동목표를 성취할 수 있다. 사서들의 상호협력에 대한 인식조사결과 상당히 긍정적이며 지역사회에 지도력을 발휘하고자 하는 태도를 가지고 있다. 양 도서관의 지리적인 문제는 분관설치나 이동도서관의 증설 등으로 해결할 것을 제시하였고 재교육의 기회를 활용하여 협력봉사를 위한 자질을 증진시키는 방향도 제시하였다.

An Empirical Study on the Job Burnout of Teacher Librarian (사서교사의 직무소진 경험에 관한 실증적 연구)

  • In this study, 15 teacher librarians working in the high school library were interviewed in order to understand the factors and situation of teacher librarian's job burnout. The results showed that job environment, teacher librarian's role and identity, school community members' lack of awareness of school library and teacher librarians were found to be influential factors in job burnout. In order to solve this problem, it is necessary to develop proper compensation system, to divide librarians and teacher librarians into clear jobs, to provide opportunities for the other teachers to extend their understanding of teacher librarians, and to provide opportunities for self development and recharging.

Study on Activity of Student Assistants in a High School Library : focusing on case study of S High School and K High School (고등학교 도서반 학생들의 활동에 관한 연구 : - S고등학교와 K고등학교 사례를 중심으로 -)

  • The aim of this study was to find out how the activity and the effect of the service of school library assistance is done. To this end, a library in S high school was visited, and interviews were conducted with regard to the student assistants to find out how the selection of new members, operating organization and activities are done. Also, a survey was conducted to examine the service activity and satisfaction level with regard to 77 student assistants in libraries of four high schools. In addition, a survey was conducted to find out the satisfaction level of the service provided by the student assistants in the school library with regard to 386 general students. The study results showed that the satisfaction level of the student assistants in the school library was high, and the satisfaction level of the service provided by the student assistants in the school library was positive.

  • 도서관문화 12월호에서는 <2004년도 국정감사와 '도서관'>이라는 주제로 두가지 자료를 정리해 보았다. 첫째는 2004년 10월 4일(문화관광부회의실)과 10월 22일(국회 문화관광위원회회의실)에서 있었던 문화관광부 본부에 대한 2004년도 국정감사의 회의록 중 '도서관' 또는 '독서'와 관련된 발언들만 발췌하여 정리한 것이며, 둘째는 국회 문화관광위원회 위원들이 문화관광부와 국립중앙도서관에 보낸 서면질의와 이에 대한 각 기관의 답변을 요약한 것이다. 법률을 입안하고 제정하며 이에 따른 정책을 추진하는 국회와 정부가 '도서관'에 대해 어떤 인식을 가지고 있는지 알아볼 수 있는 자료가 되었으면 한다. 첫번째 자료는 국회 홈페이지 '국정감사시스템'에 공개된 회의록을 이용했으며, 두번째 자료는 문화관광부 문화정책과와 국립중앙도서관 도서관정책과에서 제공해 주었다. 자료 제공에 감사드린다. 아울러 2004년도 국정감사 자료집으로 발행된 '학교도서관정책자료집'(유기홍 의원과 학교도서관문화운동네트워크 공동)과 '장애인도서관서비스 관련 정책제안 자료집'(정병국 의원)도 참고해 볼 만하다.

A Study on the Education for Teacher Librarians in Inclusive Educational Environment (통합교육환경에서의 사서교사 교육에 관한 연구)

  • In recent years, inclusion of students with disabilities in regular classrooms and special classrooms in mainstream schools has been a major stream of special education. However education for teacher librarians in Korea has not been responsive to these trends. A few of departments of library & information science in Korea universities offer courses that include information about special needs students. This study addressed the implications of inclusive education, the roles of school library and the training needs of teacher librarians for service to special needs students. And it analyzed tendency and current states of teacher librarians education on inclusive education. As a result, it is recommended that departments of library & information science in Korean universities offer more courses concerning educational support for special needs students in their curriculum and include of special modules in their most of courses offered to enhance the skill of future teacher librarians to cater for special educational needs.

A Study on the Effectiveness for Information Literacy Instruction in School Library (학교도서관과 정보활용교육의 효용성에 관한 연구)

  • The types of information literacy in school library is classified into usage instruction of school library, reading education, instructional development o4 courseware with school library and integrated instruction of collaboration with school librarian and teacher. A measure of scholastic achievement on information literacy varies in each school. The cause is rely on the absence of librarians who teach information literacy and lack of understanding on the role of school library in information literacy. Nevertheless, we know that the program based on subject teacher is successful in terms of the effectiveness of the program. It demonstrate that if information literacy will be considered as important course in the curriculum for school librarian, the effectiveness of information literacy can be enhanced dramatically. For the purpose some strategies are required. In this paper, propose three strategies, which are integration of information literacy into curriculum of schools, analysis of the curriculums and a practical method for training school librarian.

Analysis on the Operation Situation of School Library Librarians' Study Circle in Suwon (수원지역 학교도서관 사서연구회 운영 현황 분석)

  • This study attempts to derive the necessity and effects of study circles and the direction for their future improvement by understanding the current operation situation of study circles by the librarian who are in charge of school libraries and their perception about the study circle activities. For this purpose, those in charge of school libraries in 25 Offices of Education Support in Gyeonggi-Do were surveyed by telephone interview regarding the operation of study circles by the school librarians. Survey analysis and in-depth interview were conducted particularly focusing on Suwon region where the school librarians turned out to be most actively involved in the study circle activities. According to the analysis results, study circle activities by librarian gives an opportunity of sharing information related to school library operation and cultivating competence as a librarian, in addition to being helpful in enhancing their performance capability in school libraries.

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the utilization status of the Comprehensive Support System for Reading Education and other Online tools to draw implications for its improvement. The levels of utilization of the system before and after the COVID-19 were compared, in order to analyze the degree of support and the level of contribution of the system to school library education in the COVID-19 situation, where the online platform utilization has been maximized in elementary and secondary education. A questionnaire survey was conducted among teacher librarians to compare the perceptions of the overall online tools and the utilization of the system in the school library education before and after the COVID-19. Requirements for the better system primarily based on teacher librarians' opinions were analyzed. Based on these, it was possible to discover necessary implications for the improvement of the system in order for the system to function as an online platform for school libraries.

  • It is general for industrial body to adopt information system using ASP(application service provider) model according to the increase of management expense. the change of information system circumstance and the trend of application development cycle. ASP model is a variation on outsourcing system support and services. ASP maintains servers and software for different customers at a centralized location. The purpose of this study examined the feasibility to implement school digital library and information system using ASP model. Based upon the examination, this study is suggested information system of school digital library to aspects of H/W, S/W, components. functions.

An Analysis on the Perception of Students & Parents to Comics for Learning in Elementary Schools (학습만화에 대한 초등학생과 학부모의 인식 분석 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to survey the reading reality of comic books for learning in elementary schools, to research the perceptions of students and their parents to reading comic books for learning, and to suggest the methods which librarians and teachers make use of the comic books for learning in their classes. For doing this, firstly 3 elementary schools were chosen and every school, 4 classes from 3rd year to 6th year, total 12 classes' students and their parents were searched. As the results of this, it's revealed that most of students have experiences of reading the comic books which are circulated in school libraries, etc., and both groups of students and their parents thought the comic books to help their academic achievement, and they have the thought that the reading comic books induce themselves to read the other normal books for more informations. It's suggested that the comic books for learning should be thought of the important media for teaching learning, and be utilized as the media for normal reading attitude s and habits of students in elementary school libraries.
