The purpose of this study is to analyze new words in Korean and Chinese based on changes in popular culture. As China and Korea embrace increasingly close communication in recent years, their languages have influenced each other. A lot of new Korean and Chinese words have been discovered to have the same linguistic characteristics. New words are considered as new developments of a language. They are welcomed and widely used by young people in Korea and China. Therefore, in terms of the communicative function of languages, it is worthwhile to understand new words in Korean and Chinese from the perspective of academic research. This study takes Chinese words created in 2018 as the research object. Firstly, a morphological and semantic comparison of Chinese words created in 2018 and those created in 2017 is carried out to extract the characteristic indicators of Chinese words created in 2018, with emphasis on compound words, abbreviations, substitutions, patters and rhetorical expressions. Secondly, the similarities and differences of these Chinese words with Korean words created in 2018 in terms of morphology are analyzed. Finally, after conducting sample classification and comparison, the characteristics of new Chinese and Korean words and the interaction mechanism under mutual influence are concluded. According to the study, the majority of the new words are created on the basis of existing words. Thus, it is important to explore the morphology of new words as a standard language.
This study used a latent growth curve models(LGCM) to examine longitudinal changes in youth's game usage, self-control and the longitudinal mediation effect of adaptive game use in the relationship between game usage and self-control. A four-year longitudinal data of 863 adolescents from the Game User Panel Survey, provided through participation in the 2019 Game User Panel Research Conference hosted by the Korea Creative Contents Agency, was used to verify the longitudinal mediation effect of adaptive game use. SPSS 21 was used to verify the normality of variables from each wave, and to conduct correlation analysis. Mplus 6.12 was used to verify the longitudinal mediation effect. The results are as follows. First, game usage, self-control and adaptive game yielded linear temporal growth. Second, latent growth curve models showed that the direct effect of game usage on self-control was insignificant, but game usage had a significant indirect effect on self-control through adaptive game use. Continuous adaptive gaming increased self-control. Third, sobel test results showed that both the initial value and change rate of adaptive game use had a full-mediation effect, confirming the longitudinal mediation effect. This study verified the longitudinal change of self-control affected by change in game usage and adaptive game use.

With the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic situation, the attention on Metaverse has been soared throughout media and publications. Recently the entertainment industry is also changing to actively utilize the virtual world with artists working through Metaverse platforms. With the recent high interests on Metaverse, this study attempts to illuminate how the public perceives and accepts Metaverse experiences. While research on Metaverse has been mainly focused on specific technologies or technical objects, this study focuses on exploring how fans recognize and understand the concept of Metaverse through newly debuted idol group 'aespa', composing of 4 human members and 4 AI avatar members that integrate real and virtual world. For this, this study seeks to analyze the reaction and recognition of fans by exploring online community 'DC Inside'. As a result of analyzing the reactions of fans in the early days of aespa's debut, the perspectives of understanding AI members of aespa are categorized into three groups: first, the type of equating and accepting the real and the virtual world; second, the type of recognizing the real world and the virtual world separately and recognizing the virtual member as an avatar or concept, not a genuine member; and finally, a type of recognizing virtual worlds separately from reality. Based on these results, the implications that Metaverse contents may have in the entertainment industry are suggested.

Yeonjae(淵齋) Song Byeong-seon(宋秉璿, 1836-1905) was the ninth-generation descendant of Uam (尤庵) Song Si-yeol (宋時烈). During his lifetime, he gained the trust of Yu-rim(儒林) and was called to the court several times. However, he eventually refused an official] post and spent his life cultivating his studies in the wild. When the Eulsa Treaty(乙巳條約) was signed on November 17, Yeonjae pleaded with King Gojong about the abolition of the treaty. And on the morning of December 30, Yeon-jae committed suicide at his old house in Hoedeok(懷德). At this time, Yeon-jae sent the final appeal to the king, leaving a message to the king, the people, and Yu-rim about the restoration of national sovereignty, fulfilling his duties as a leader of Sarim(士林). After that, in 1962, Yeonjae was awarded the Order of Independence Medal of National Founding. Song Byeong-seon's excursions took place throughout his life. 22 long and short travelogues are existed today. The excursions were mainly done by land, so most of them rode horses or mules. He sometimes used floats or kilns. But he sometimes knew how to use the waterways effectively. This is because in some travel reports, routes using inland waterways and sea routes appear. The journey of the series continues all the way to finding the relics of his ancestors. In this process, it is clear that he reaffirmed its mission of succession to the family and promised to be a part of the brilliant feat of the ancestors. In addition, the reading of the scriptures and Neo-Confucian discussion were added to the excursions. His excursions continued as a means of publicizing and expanding the Neo-Confucian worldview. Thus, Yeonjae inherited the spirit of John Wangyangi(尊王攘夷) left by his ancestors, and finally raised the banner of Wijeongcheoksa(衛正斥邪) high. And he resolutely set out on the road to death for the country.

No language can be separated from other languages and exist independently. When a language comes in contact with a foreign culture, they continuously affect each other and bring changes. Hallyu boom(Korean wave), which was derived from the emergence of K-drama and K-pop due to rapid developments in global scientific technologies and digitization after the 90's, affected the Chinese language. As a result, neologisms that are derived from the Korean language are being commonly used for making exchanges and becoming social buzzwords. Neologisms derived from Korean reflect the effects and results of language contact between the two languages. We examined the background and cause of Chinese neologisms derived from Korean based on the sociocultural factors and psychological necessity, and explained neologisms by using four categories of transliteration, liberal translation, borrowing Korean-Chinese characters and others. Despite having the issue of being anti-normative during the process of coining new words, neologism enriches Chinese expressions and is a mirror for social culture that reflects the opinions and understandings of young Chinese people who pursue novelty, change, innovation and creativity in linguistic aspects. We hope that it will serve as an opportunity for the young people in Korea and China to change their perceptions and become more friendly by understanding each other's language, culture and by communicating. We also expect to provide assistance in regard to teaching and learning the applications of Korean-Chinese language fusion at Chinese education fields.

Second, in the parenting experience, the fathers felt that "family survival was at stake". Third the support systems that the fathers had in raising single parent families were "social resources" made available through workplaces, acquaintances, institutions, and the government. Such systems also took the form of "family resources" including brothers and parents. An "internal resource" was the presence of children along with psychological sources of support, such as responsibility and the satisfaction experienced by the fathers through parenting. Based on the capabilities of smartphone cameras which have developed rapidly in recent decades, coupled with and the global market penetration rate, it will study the possibility of various international exchanges through smartphone filmmaking. This aims to achieve a civilian-oriented cultural exchange, instead of simply providing capital-oriented exchanges and film production education. The Smartphone Film Workshop was held as an auxiliary event of the Korea-Vietnam Film Festival, which ran from November 17 to 22, 2017. The three-day workshop, which took place within the festival period, drew attention for its international collaboration project between Korean film directors and Vietnamese film students. The researcher conducted practical-based research while participating as a mentor at this workshop. A step-by-step approach to the entire process of production and post-production was administered, including workshop team composition, scenario, and pre-production in Korea such as shooting equipment, schedule, completion of local works, and screening. Through an analysis of exchange cases at international workshops, we will use trial and error as ways to improve and consider the results of cultural exchanges and the effects of future expectations. Taking this empirical case study into account, we anticipate more active international exchanges through the smartphone workshops.
