A Study on the Circuit Design Methodology and Performance Evaluation for Hybrid Gate Driver (하이브리드 게이트 드라이버를 위한 회로 디자인 방법과 성능 평가에 관한 연구)

  • As Head-Mounted Displays(HMDs), which are mainly used to maximize realism in games and videos, have experienced increased demand and expanded scope of use in education and training, there is growing interest in methods to enhance the performance of conventional HMDs. In this study, a methodology to utilize Carbon NanoTubes(CNTs) to improve the performance of gate drivers that send control signals to each pixel circuit of the HMD is discussed. This paper proposes a new circuit design method that replaces the transistors constituting the buffer part of the conventional gate driver with transistors incorporating CNTs and compare the performance of the suggested gate drive with that of a gate driver comprising only conventional transistors via simulations. According to the simulation results, by including CNTs in the gate driver, the output voltage can be increased by approximately 0.3V compared to the conventional gate driver high voltage(1.1V) at a speed of 12.5 GHz and the gate width also can be reduced by up to 20 times.

Corrosion Resistance of Al6061-T6 by Organic/Inorganic Hybrid Coating Solution (유/무기하이브리드 코팅액에 의한 Al6061-T6의 내식 특성)

  • In this study, the corrosion resistance by salt spray was evaluated using A6061-T6 for an electric vehicle battery pack case coated with an organic/inorganic hybrid solution. The lowest curing temperature of 190 ℃ resulted in significant corrosion and pitting. Meanwhile, no corrosion was observed in the coated specimens at 210 ℃ and 230 ℃ except at 210 ℃ - 6 min and 8 min. The surface of the as-received coating specimen observed by FE-SEM exhibited streaks and dents in the rolling direction, but the coating surface was clean. On the 190 ℃ - 6 min coating specimen, which had a lot of corrosion, rolling streaks spread, and dents were caused by corrosion. The 200 ℃ - 12 min coating specimen did not show corrosion, but it showed an etched surface. In the line profile, Si, the main component of the coating solution, was detected the most, and Ti was also detected. In the coating specimens with salt spray, O increased and Si decreased, regardless of corrosion. The peeling rate by adhesion evaluation was 26 - 87% for the 190 ℃ coating specimen, 4 - 83% for the 210 ℃ coating specimen, and 94 - 100% for the 230 ℃ coating specimen. The optimal curing conditions for the coating solution used in this study were 210 ℃ for 10 min.

  • Various digital literacy and critical competencies are crucial for success in the information and media-rich 21st century game of life. This study explores and describes the digital literacy practices of role-players in WildStar, a science fantasy Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game (MMORPG). Active role-players create and participate in group-driven interactive stories while in-character. A hybrid ethnographic method integrating overt participant observation and engagement, collection of community artifacts across multiple sites (such as wikis, discussion boards, and social media), and semi-structured interviews was employed to understand how role-players seek, use, evaluate, and manage information, media, and technology. Role-players used various media and technologies to supplement, simplify, and make role-playing more immersive. The relative digital literacy skill levels of individuals varied, leading role-players to leverage the skills of more proficient or experienced community members. Given the broad appeal of online games and educational benefits of role-playing, implications and applications for digital literacy skills instruction and library programming are also discussed.

Design and Implementation of Interface System for Swarm USVs Simulation Based on Hybrid Mission Planning (하이브리드형 임무계획을 고려한 군집 무인수상정 시뮬레이션 시스템의 연동 인터페이스 설계 및 구현)

  • Defense fields widely operate unmanned systems to lower vulnerability and enhance combat effectiveness. In the navy, swarm unmanned surface vehicles(USVs) form a cluster within communication range, share situational awareness information among the USVs, and cooperate with them to conduct military missions. This paper proposes an interface system, i.e., Interface Adapter System(IAS), to achieve inter-USV and intra-USV interoperability. We focus on the mission planning subsystem(MPS) for interoperability, which is the core subsystem of the USV to decide courses of action such as automatic path generation and weapon assignments. The central role of the proposed system is to exchange interface data between MPSs and other subsystems in real-time. To this end, we analyzed the operational requirements of the MPS and identified interface messages. Then we developed the IAS using the distributed real-time middleware. As experiments, we conducted several integration tests at swarm USVs simulation environment and measured delay time and loss ratio of interface messages. We expect that the proposed IAS successfully provides bridge roles between the mission planning system and other subsystems.

Characteristics of Science-Engineering Integrated Lessons Contributed to the Improvement of Creative Engineering Problems Solving Propensity (창의공학적 문제해결성향에 기여한 과학-공학 융합수업의 특성)

  • This study is to investigate the effects and characteristics of science and engineering integrated lessons on elementary students' creative engineering problem solving propensity (CEPSP). The science and engineering integrated lessons used in this study was a 10 lesson-hours STEM program, co-developed by University of Minnesota and Purdue University. The program was implemented in the 6th grade science class of H Elementary School located in P Metropolitan city. The main data of this study are the pre-post CEPSP result and interview with 5 students collected before and after the research. The CEPSP result was analyzed by a paired-sample t-test and hierarchical cluster analysis. As a result of the t-test, it was found that overall, the program has a positive effect on the students' CEPSP score. As a result of cluster analysis, it was confirmed that studnets' CEPSP could be classified into two groups (lower and higher score cluster). Five students whose, CEPSP score has significantly improved after the lessons were interviewed to find out what the characteristics of the program that contribute the significant change are. As a result of conducting centroid analysis of the interview transcription and the hybrid analysis method, it was found that the meaningful experiences that the five students commonly shared were 'problem solving through collaboration' and 'through repeated experiments (redesign)', problem solving' and 'utilization of scientific knowledge'. As minor reactions, 'choice of the best experimental method' and 'difference between science and engineering' appeared.

A Study of the sustainable Design Direction for a City Commuter Vehicle (씨티 커뮤터 자동차를 위한 지속 가능한 디자인 방향에 관한 연구)

  • This thesis is about design spirit demanded by the 21st century vehicle design studied in consideration of city commuter. First of all, going over the transition of the last century vehicle design led to the arrangement of the changes in vehicle models. Even though the invention of vehicles brought about immense improvement in living standard of the people, it also brought about other factors that were harmful for human living. Through this realization the main fact that should be emphasized is that the vehicles in 21s1 century should not be a threat to the human life or be the main cause for the environmental pollution of the earth. With the question as to whether the vehicles development direction at the beginning of the year 2000 like the Retro design and Hybrid-Compact car development is appropriate to these demands, the development of City Commuter vehicle (the most human and environment-friendly concept which can also serve as the connecting means in transportation system) and its case studies were compared. Through this, the design spirit that should be inherent in environment and vehicle human and vehicle relationships and the design factors needed for the continuous development of the vehicles were arranged.(classified) Rather than suggesting a new direction for the specific style for vehicle design, this thesis is to emphasize that to improve the standard living of the people with vehicle as a product that will be continually produced in the 21st century, the morals and the mission of the designers about the environment and humanity recovery should be the core of the active movement and education of vehicle design.

A Routing Optimization for Hybrid Routing Protocol in Wireless Ad Hoc Networks (Ad Hoc망에서 하이브리드 라우팅 프로토콜을 위한 경로 설정 최적화)

  • Ad Hoc망은 전형적인 무선 네트워킹과는 다른 새로운 무선 네트워킹 파라다임으로써 기존 유선 망의 하부 구조에 의존하지 않고 이동 호스트들로만 구성된 네트워크이다. Ad Hoc망에서 통신을 하기 위해서는 출발지 노드에서 목적지 노드까지 데이터 전송을 위한 라우팅에 관한 문제이다. Ad Hoc망에서는 모든 단말기의 위치변화가 가능하기 때문에 경로설정에 어려움이 따른다. 노드간에 정보를 보내고자 할 때 노드가 인접한 상태가 아니면 정보를 직접 보낼 수 없고 여러 중간 노드들을 거쳐서 정보를 보내는 다중-홉 라우팅 방식을 사용해야 한다. 따라서 중간 노드들은 패킷 라우터의 역할을 해야하는데 무선 통신자체가 좁은 대역폭과 한정된 채널을 가지고 전송 범위가 제한되는 문제가 있다. 또한 노드자체의 이동성과 전력 소모 등으로 인한 이탈은 망 위상을 수시로 변화시키므로 노드간에 정보를 전송하는데 가장 좋은 경로는 수시로 변경될 수 있으므로 많은 어려움이 따르게 된다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 문제의 해결방안으로 경로유지 과정에서 Ad Hoc망 내의 노드들은 이동성의 특성으로 인해 현재 사용되는 경로 보다 더 짧고 효율적인 경로가 발생하고 중간 노드가 이동 될 때 새로운 경로로 갱신하여 솔기없는 최적의 경로를 유지할 수 있는 방법을 제안한다. 제안 방법은 ZRP의 IERP에서 감청모드를 통하여 사용중인 경로보다 최적의 경로를 감지하여 새로운 경로로 갱신하는 방법과 중간 노드가 이동하여 경로가 깨진 경우 부분적으로 경로를 복구하는 방법을 제시하여 항상 최적화된 경로를 유지함으로써 Ad Hoc망의 위상변화에 대한 적응성을 높일 수 있도록 한다.기반으로 하는 교육용 애플리케이션 개발의 용이성의 증대를 기대할 수 있으며, 모델의 재사용성을 보장할 수 있다. 제안한다.수행하였다. 분석에서는 제품의 효율성뿐만 아니라 보안성을 중요하게 생각하였으며, 앞으로 보안 관련 소프트웨어 개발에 사용될 수 있는 도구들이 가이드 라인에 대한 정보를 제공한다.용할 수 있는지 세부 설계를 제시한다.다.으로서 hemicellulose구조가 polyuronic acid의 형태인 것으로 사료된다. 추출획분의 구성단당은 여러 곡물연구의 보고와 유사하게 glucose, arabinose, xylose 함량이 대체로 높게 나타났다. 점미가 수가용성분에서 goucose대비 용출함량이 고르게 나타나는 경향을 보였고 흑미는 알칼리가용분에서 glucose가 상당량(0.68%) 포함되고 있음을 보여주었고 arabinose(0.68%), xylose(0.05%)도 다른 종류에 비해서 다량 함유한 것으로 나타났다. 흑미는 총식이섬유 함량이 높고 pectic substances, hemicellulose, uronic acid 함량이 높아서 콜레스테롤 저하 등의 효과가 기대되며 고섬유식품으로서 조리 특성 연구가 필요한 것으로 사료된다.리하였다. 얻어진 소견(所見)은 다음과 같았다. 1. 모년령(母年齡), 임신회수(姙娠回數), 임신기간(姙娠其間), 출산시체중등(出産時體重等)의 제요인(諸要因)은 주산기사망(周産基死亡)에 대(對)하여 통계적(統計的)으로 유의(有意)한 영향을 미치고 있어 $25{\sim}29$세(歲)의 연령군에서, 2번째 임신과 2번째의 출산에서 그리고 만삭의 임신 기간에, 출산시체중(出産時體重

  • Although Intelligent Tutoring System(ITS) offers individualized learning environment that overcome limited function of existent CAI, and consider many learners' variable, there is little development to be using at the sites of schools because of inefficiency of investment and absence of pedagogical content knowledge representation techniques. To solve these problem, we should study a method, which represents knowledge for ITS, and which reuses knowledge base. On the pedagogical content knowledge, the knowledge in education differs from knowledge in a general sense. In this paper, we shall primarily address the multi-complex structure of knowledge and explanation of learning vein using multi-complex structure. Multi-Complex, which is organized into nodes, clusters and uses by knowledge base. In addition, it grows a adaptive knowledge base by self-learning. Therefore, in this paper, we propose the 'Extended Neural Logic Network(X-Neuronet)', which is based on Neural Logic Network with logical inference and topological inflexibility in cognition structure, and includes pedagogical content knowledge and object-oriented conception, verify validity. X-Neuronet defines that a knowledge is directive combination with inertia and weights, and offers basic conceptions for expression, logic operator for operation and processing, node value and connection weight, propagation rule, learning algorithm.

A Study on the Role of Library in Urban Regeneration (도시재생 참여 주체로서 도서관의 역할에 관한 연구)

  • Libraries are one of the essential living infrastructures in urban regeneration. Beyond its meaning as a basic living infrastructure, it is necessary to first understand the role, nature and forms of participation in existing urban regeneration projects in order for libraries to perform their functions and roles effectively as participants of urban regeneration. Therefore, this study investigates the contents related to libraries in the contents of the strategic plan related to urban regeneration projects, and considers them in terms of the role of the library and the form of participation. Through this, the city's library would seek to maximize its role and function as a participant in urban regeneration. As a result, the library in urban regeneration is expected to improve the quality of living environment, Urban vitality, culturally, educationally, socially/welfare role closely related to life, and the role of community as a hub. In addition, the types of library participation could be largely divided into regional and geographical libraries, hybrid libraries combined with various services, libraries based on community cooperation and linkage, and regional community hub libraries based on community participation. In the future, the library needs to promote a more active role change based on the five roles expected as participants in urban regeneration. In addition, more detailed discussions on librarians, services, and programs, which are the main subjects of library services, will be needed in developing urban regeneration plans in order for libraries to successfully fulfill their role as urban regeneration centers.

An Empirical Study on the Impact of Entrepreneur's Strategic Competency and Characteristics of Their Experiences on Performance of Social Enterprises: Focused on the Mediating Effect of Social-value Seeking (창업가의 전략적 역량과 경험 특성이 사회적기업의 성과에 미치는 영향 실증 연구: 사회적 가치 추구의 매개 효과를 중심으로)

  • The promotion of social economy is one of the Korean government's top 100 initiatives. As of August 2019, there are 2,249 certified social enterprises in Korea, showing explosive growth with a 41-fold increase from 2007 when the Social Enterprise Promotion Act was first enacted. Currently, the discussion of the sustainability of social-economic organizations is lively, including the issue of changing the certification system to the registration system. Noting the unusual management structure of social enterprise - seeking both social and economic value, this study identifies factors affecting the performance of social enterprises. The study focuses on an empirical investigation of the relationships between characteristics of entrepreneurs' experiences in social economy, strategic competency, the extent to which they seek social value, and their performance. This study is unique in social enterprise research due to its approach to the hybrid management structure of social enterprise with a focus on entrepreneurs' characteristics. Accordingly, this empirical investigation focuses on how social-value seeking mediates the relationships between strategic competency emphasized in typical for-profit enterprises, the characteristics of experiences stressed in social-economic organizations, and the performance of social enterprises. The study findings suggest that, firstly, social entrepreneurs must seek social value as a top priority and improve economic performance using strategic competency to keep pursuing social value, and secondly, social-value seeking must be founded upon entrepreneurs' understanding and experiences in social economy. Practical implications of the study findings include concrete directions for training in social enterprises offered by relevant agencies and the establishment of competency models for current and future entrepreneurs.
