학생과 프리셉터가 지각한 프리셉터 역할의 중요도와 수행도 (Comparison on Perceived Importance and Performance of the Preceptor's Role between Nursing Students and Preceptor Nurses)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 임상교육에서 프리셉터 역할의 중요도와 수행도에 대한 학생과 프리셉터의 지각정도를 확인하여 그 차이를 비교 검토하는 것이다. 본 연구는 서술적 조사연구로 간호학생 339명과 프리셉터 간호사 52명을 대상으로 하였다. 프리셉터 역할중요도는 간호학생 평균(3.59)이 프리셉터 간호사 평균(3.34) 보다 유의하게 높게 나타났으나, 프리셉터 역할수행도에서는 간호학생의 평균(2.54)이 프리셉터 간호사의 평균(2.79)보다 유의하게 낮게 나타났다. 프리셉터 역할수행도에 대한 지각정도는 중요도에 대한 지각정도보다 더 낮았다. 또한 프리셉터 역할중요도와 수행도는 오직 간호학생에게서만 상관관계가 높은 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 간호학생 임상 교육 프로그램 개발시에 프리셉터 역할의 중요도와 수행도를 고려할 필요가 있으며, 이러한 연구 결과는 프리셉터 역할 모델링 및 프리셉터 역할수행도 향상의 전략 수립을 위한 가이드라인이 될 수 있을 것이다.

프리셉터십 프로그램 참여 간호사의 경험에 대한 융합적 고찰 (A Convergence Study on Nurses' Experiences Participating in a Preceptorship Program)

  • 본 연구는 종합병원의 프리셉터십 프로그램 과정에서 나타나는 프리셉터와 프리셉티 간호사의 참여 경험과 프리셉터십 프로그램의 개선점을 탐색하기 위한 질적 연구이다. 2018년 5월 1일에서 6월 20일까지 종합병원의 프리셉터십 프로그램에 참여 경험이 있는 프리셉터와 프리셉티 간호사 9명을 대상으로 개별 심층 면담을 실시하였고, 연구참여자들의 경험적 진술을 주제 분석 방법으로 분석하였다. 연구참여자들의 의미 있는 진술을 바탕으로 프리셉터 간호사의 경험은 4가지, 프리셉티 간호사의 경험은 5가지 주제가 도출되었다. 본 연구에서 프리셉터십 프로그램은 프리셉터 간호사의 교육에 효과적일 뿐 아니라 프리셉터 간호사의 직무 만족과 역량 강화에도 도움이 되었다. 그러나 프리셉터십 프로그램의 보다 효율적인 운영을 위해 병원기관의 적극적인 지원과 간호부서의 체계적 준비가 필요하다. 또한 프리셉터 간호사를 위한 교육과정 커리큘럼 개발과 함께 이들의 노력에 대한 적절한 보상과 근무 여건이 마련되어야 할 것이다.

  • 본 연구의 목적은 신규간호사의 공감수준과 인지된 프리셉터의 공감수준이 그들의 직무만족도, 직무스트레스 및 이직의도에 미치는 영향을 확인하는 것이다. 이를 위해 신규간호사를 대상으로 프리셉터십을 운영하는 3개의 의료 기관에 재직 중인 12개월 이하의 신규간호사에게 설문을 실시하였다. 성인학습이론에 따른 프리셉터십에서 프리셉터는 신규간호사에게 심리적 환경을 조성해 줄 필요가 있으며, 공감은 경험 주체가 인지하여야 한다. 연구 결과 신규간호사의 공감수준이 높을수록 인지된 프리셉터의 공감수준이 높았으며, 신규간호사의 공감수준이 높은 집단은 직무만족도가 높고 직무스트레스와 이직의도가 낮았으며, 공감 수준은 신규간호사의 직무만족도에 영향을 미치는 것으로 드러났다. 신규간호사가 경험한 인지된 프리셉터의 공감수준이 낮은 집단은 직무만족도가 낮고 직무스트레스와 이직의도가 높았으며, 인지된 프리셉터의 공감수준은 직무스트레스와 이직의도에 영향을 주었다. 이러한 결과를 토대로 신규간호사와 프리셉터 교육과정에 공감능력향상 프로그램의 도입을 제언한다.

프리셉터 교육이 프리셉터 역할인식과 직무만족도에 미치는 효과 (The Effects of Preceptor Preparation Education on the Preceptor's Role Recognition and Job Satisfaction)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of preceptor preparation education on the preceptor's role recognition and job satisfaction. Method: This study was designed as a pre-experimental, one group pre-test and post-test design. The subjects of this study were 44 preceptors who had the preceptor preparation education at a university hospital in Suwon, Korea. Data were collected from May 26th to June 15th, 2003. The collected data were analyzed using SPSS WIN 10.0 with paired t-test and Pearson's correlation. Result: The results were as follows; (a) After the preceptor preparation education, preceptor's role recognition increased significantly compared to before the preceptor preparation education (t=-4.910, p=.000), (b) After the preceptor preparation education, job satisfaction increased significantly compared to before the preceptor preparation education(t=-4.470, p=.000), (c) Preceptor's role recognition was significantly positive correlation with job satisfaction(r=.422, p=.004). Conclusion: The results of this study shows that preceptor preparation education was effective in increasing preceptor's role recognition and job satisfaction.

간호조직문화가 프리셉터의 직무만족에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Nursing Organizational Culture on Job Satisfaction of Preceptors)

  • Purpose: This study was to identify effect of nursing organizational culture on job satisfaction of preceptors. Method: The subjects were 73 preceptors who were working for the 4 of university hospitals in Seoul, Daejeon and Kyong Ki. This study was conducted from Aug to Oct 2005. The data was collected by questionnaires and were analyzed using descriptive statistics, pearson correlation coefficient, stepwise multiple regression. Result: Job satisfaction of preceptors were significantly correlated among nursing organizational culture. The stepwise multiple regression analysis on job satisfaction revealed that nursing organizational culture was a powerful predictor of job satisfaction. Conclusion: The findings indicate that nursing organizational culture is important for improving job satisfaction of preceptors. Therefore it is necessary to develop of good nursing organizational culture for successful preceptorship.

신규간호사와 프리셉터가 인지하는 프리셉터의 교수효율성 비교 (A Comparison of Preceptors' and New Graduate Nurses' Perception of Teaching Effectiveness)

  • Objective: The purpose of this study was to compare preceptors and new graduate nurses on their perception of preceptor teaching effectiveness. Methods: The participants were 90 new nurses and 90 preceptors who worked in A medical center. The data were collected from July 1 to September 30, 2008. A cross-sectional descriptive survey was done using a structured questionnaire. Results: New nurses' perception ($4.07{\pm}.44$) of the preceptor teaching effectiveness was significantly higher than perception of the preceptors ($3.57{\pm}.37$). Fifty five percent of new graduate nurses reported a lack of coherence in the preceptor's practice guidelines. For 5 causal factors classified on the teaching effectiveness, the factor of 'Professional knowledge and ability' showed the highest score, but 'Interpersonal and communication skill' got lowest score for both group. Preceptors responded that they did not have enough time to teach well because of their heavy workloads. Conclusions: These results suggest that the preceptors need appropriate compensation and education opportunities, and new graduate nurses need consistent education by the teaching professionals. Therefore, it is important to give preceptors full charge of the preceptorship. Also, it will be necessary to develop education programs to enhance interpersonal and communication skill for preceptors and new nurses.

신입간호사와 프리셉터 간 갈등경험에 따른 프리셉터의 핵심역량 (The Preceptor's Core Competency Related to Conflicts between Newly Graduated Nurses and Preceptors)

  • Purpose: This study was to investigate actual conflicts between newly graduated nurses and preceptors during preceptorship period and the preceptor's core competency related to their conflicts in order to prepare an educational program to develop a preceptor's core competency. Method: A total of 100 questionnaire sheets were collected for data analysis from a valid pair of 94 newly graduated nurses and 94 preceptors. The questionnaire consisted of the preceptor's core competency evaluation tool, and experiences of the conflicts between newly graduated nurses and preceptors. Data was analyzed using SPSS 12.0. Result: Preceptors faced more conflicts than newly graduated nurses, but the former went through conflicts for a shorter time. The conflict-experiencing newly graduated nurses evaluated their preceptor's core competency more excellently than the other's except 'role model'. The conflict-experiencing preceptors evaluated 'learning plan implementation' competency more excellently than the other's. Conclusion: It is advisable to have educational programs and opportunities for increasing preceptor's core competency.

프리셉터의 핵심역량과 지도유형에 따른 프리셉터 자기효능감 (Effects of Core Competency and Teaching Style on Preceptor Self-efficacy Among Preceptors)

  • Purpose: This study was aimed to find out the effect of core competency and teaching style on preceptor self-efficacy among preceptors. Methods: One hundred twelve nurses working at four university hospitals with previous preceptor experience participated in the survey. The data were analyzed by t-test, ANOVA, Pearson correlation coefficients and multiple regression. Results: The preceptors used 'judgment-initiative' teaching style most frequently, and reported the highest scores in the role model dimension of core competency. There were significant positive relations between age (r=.266, p=.005), clinical experience (r=.274, p=.004), preceptorship experience (r=.204, p=.032), core competency (r=.593, p<.001) and preceptor self- efficacy. But preceptor self-efficacy was not significantly different depending on the teaching style (F=0.72, p=.54). The most predictive factors of the preceptor self-efficacy were core competency and teaching style (judgment)(F=31.849, p<.001). The explained variance for preceptor self-efficacy was 35.9% in the model. Conclusion: The preceptor self-efficacy is essential for the preceptors' successful teaching experience and the clinical competency improvement of the entry level nurses. Management for an effective preceptor training program needs to focus on the improvement of core competency of preceptors, which will lead to strengthen their self-efficacy.

프리셉터의 핵심역량과 경력몰입에 관한 연구 (The Core Competency and Career Commitment of the Preceptors)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to examine the core competency and career commitment of the preceptors to identify utility of the preceptorship as career management program. Method: The subjects were 107 clinical nurses who were working in one university hospital composed of the head nurses(n=27), non-preceptors(n=28), new graduate nurses(n=26) and preceptors(n=26). Demographic characteristics, core competency and career commitment were measured. The core competency was evaluated by the head nurses, non-preceptors, new graduate nurses, and preceptor themselves. And the career commitment was compared between the preceptors and non-preceptors. For data analyses, percentage, mean, t-test, ANOVA were adopted with the use of SPSS WIN 10.0. Result: The results of this study showed that the core competency of the preceptors was evaluated excellently by all subjects. In three domains, there were no significant difference in role model, socialization facillitator and educator except for learning experience planning between the head nurses, non-preceptors, new graduate nurses and preceptors. The career commitment was significant difference between the preceptors and non-preceptors. Conclusions: The finding above indicated that the preceptorship utilized the improvement of the core competency and career commitment of the preceptors as career management program. therefore, continually, the effort and interest for development of the preceptorship can be a remarkable contribution for nurses' career management in nursing organization.

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of preceptor preparation education on the preceptor's role recognition, role conflict and professional self-concept. Method: A Quasi-experimental design with non-equivalant control group was used. The subjects included 39 nurses, 19 in experimental group, and 20 in the control group. The program consisted of introduction of preceptor education program & curriculum, change of hospital management environment, the newest trend of nursing course, concept of preceptorship, steps of preceptorship, role of preceptor, attitude of preceptor, role of education, etiquette in nursing situation, policy of clinical education ability improvement, communication, conflict management, nursing ethics, contents concerned nursing professionalist, cardiopulmonary resuscitation, and medication. The data was collected from September 29 to November 17, 2007 using a structured questionnaire. Result: Preceptor's role recognition was increased significantly in the experimental group. However, role conflict and professional self-concept weren't significantly changed in the experimental group, compared to the control group. Conclusion: This study provides evidence for potential and beneficial effect of preceptor preparation education program on nurses.
