The Correlation Analysis of Factors Impact on the IT Investment Performance - Extended IS Success Model (IT 투자와 성과간의 상관관계에 대한 분석 - 발전된 IS 성공 모형 -)

  • 지난 수년간, IT 비용의 지속적인 증가에 따른 IT 투자 의사결정 및 평가를 위한 성과 분석은 최근 가장 주요한 이슈가 되고 있다. IT 투자와 성과간의 상관 관계를 규명하기 위한 수많은 노력에도 불구하고 IT 투자 성과 측정의 어려움과 이에 영향을 미치는 요소들의 복합성으로 인하여 낮은 IT 투자 성과의 원인을 제시하는 것은 여전히 쉽지 않은 문제이다. 본 연구는 실제 IT 투자 규모와 IT 투자 성과간의 상관관계를 분석하고, 이에 조직, IS프로젝트, 사용자 요인들이 어떻게 영향을 미치는지 나타내고자 하였다. 2개 제조업체의 총 44개의 단위시스템들에 대하여, IT 투자 비용은 형태별로, IT 투자 성과는 정성적, 정량적인 효과를 정보, 시스템, 사용자, 조직효과 관점에서 측정하고 있다. 또한, 각 시스템을 구축하였던 업무 담당자들, 사용자들에 대한 인터뷰 및 설문을 통하여 조직, IS프로젝트, 사용자 요인을 측정하고 있다. 본 연구는 효과적인 IT 투자 성과를 얻기 위해서는, 절대적인 IT 투자 규모도 중요하지만 구체적인 정보전략계획의 수립, 경영진의 지원, 사용자의 적극적 참여와 같은 IT 투자 실행의 중요성을 제시하고 있다. 이들 결과를 바탕으로 IT 투자를 고려하고 있는 기업들에게 효과적인 투자 방안을 제시할 수 있을 것이다.

Predicting Bug Severity by utilizing Topic Model and Bug Report Meta-Field (토픽 모델과 버그 리포트 메타 필드를 이용한 버그 심각도 예측 방법)

  • Recently developed software systems have many components, and their complexity is thus increasing. Last year, about 375 bug reports in one day were reported to a software repository in Eclipse and Mozilla open source projects. With so many bug reports submitted, developers' time and efforts have increased unnecessarily. Since the bug severity is manually determined by quality assurance, project manager or other developers in the general bug fixing process, it is biased to them. They might also make a mistake on the manual decision because of the large number of bug reports. Therefore, in this study, we propose an approach of bug severity prediction to solve these problems. First, we find similar topics within a new bug report and reduce the candidate reports of the topic by using the meta field of the bug report. Next, we train the reduced reports by applying Naive Bayes Multinomial. Finally, we predict the severity of the new bug report. We compare our approach with other prediction algorithms by using bug reports in open source projects. The results show that our approach better predicts bug severity than other algorithms.

  • 조선야드에서 외업의 여러 생산단계에 조립블록을 적기에 공급하여 생산작업을 진행하는데 지장이 없게하고, 희소자원인 작업장과 적치장을 효율적으로 사용하여 사내 물류비용을 절감하기 위해서는 효율적인 조선 조립블록 운영방안이 수립되어 한다. 본 논문의 목적은 현재 현대중공업에서 진행 중인 조선 조립블록 운영효율화 방안에 대한 프로젝트를 소개하여 현업에 종사하는 담당자들 및 연구자들에게 유익한 정보를 제공하고, 또한 본 논문의 저자들도 유익한 피드백을 받고자 함이다.

  • 전 규모에서 소규모에 이르는 MMIS(Man Machine Interface System) 모사설비는 실제의 원자력발전소에 사용될 MMIS를 응용 소프트웨어로 구동되는 모사환경을 통하여 사전에 시험 및 검증할 목적으로 사용된다. 기존의 MMIS 모사설비 개발은 잘 정의된 개발 프로세스에 기반을 두지 않고 프로젝트 관리자 또는 개발 담당자의 경험과 직관에 의존하여 수행되었다. 이로 인하여 MMIS 모사설비의 개발 일정이 지연되거나 개발의 결과가 초기목표를 만족하지 못하는 불만족 사항이 나타났다. 본 연구는 MMIS 모사설비의 응용 소프트웨어 개발을 위한 프로세스를 정의하고 이에 따라 설비개발을 진행하였다. 개발 프로세서는 계획 단계, 설계 및 구현단계, 시험단계의 세 부분으로 구성하였다. 본 논문에서는 MMIS 모사설비에 요구되는 일반적인 성능특성요건과 개발공정요건을 살펴보고, 본 연구가 정립한 응용 소프트웨어 개발의 프로세스 및 각 프로세서에서의 공정활동을 제시한다.

  • 현재 BPM (Business Process Management)은 급변하는 사업 환경의 변화에 기업이 신속하게 대응하기 위한 해결책으로 많은 기업에서 도입을 추진하고 있다. BPM은 조직 내부, 또는 복수 조직간에 걸쳐서 발생하는 사람과 IT 시스템 간의 상호작용을 비즈니스 프로세스 관점에서 이해하고 분석하여 기업의 전략을 실행하기 위한 새로운 개념으로서 기존의 IT 시스템 개발 개념과는 많은 차이가 존재한다. 그럼에도 불구하고 BPM의 등장과 확산이 최근 몇 년 동안에 급속하게 이루어진 까닭에, 기업 현장에서의 IT 담당자는 물론 BPM의 확산을 추진하는 IT 전문가들조차 BPM에 대한 진정한 이해와 확산에 어려움을 겪고 있으며, 과거의 단순한 솔루션 중심 도입 방식으로 BPM 도입을 추진하였다. 결과적으로 급변하는 사업 환경에 실시간으로 대응하기 위해 도입하는 BPM의 핵심 장점을 제대로 살리지 못하고 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 BPM의 진정한 의미를 재조명하고, A 사(社) BPM 프로젝트의 실제 사례를 통하여 성공적인 BPM 도입을 위해 고려해야 할 사항들에 대해 분석하였다. 이번 사례 연구를 통해 기업 혁신을 위해 BPM을 도입 하고자 하는 기업에게 성공적인 가이드라인을 제시하고, 향후 BPM의 미래 청사진을 제시하고자 한다.

Conceptual Cost Estimating System Development for Public Apartment Projects (공공아파트 프로젝트 기획단계 공사비 산정시스템 개발)

  • At the conceptual phase of a construction project, estimated construction cost is very important as it significantly influences the owner's decision-making. Accurate cost estimating, in the early stage of a public construction project, serves as a critical factor because initial decision-making effects the final cost of a construction project. However in the cases of Korean public apartment projects, excluding a few of the public owners, there is a problem in properly estimating construction cost due to the lack of construction cost estimating system. Thus, this research developed a public apartment cost estimating system using case-based reasoning that was suggested by a previous research with 66 cases of Korean public apartment projects. Based on the system experiments involving 19 public officers and 10 cases of Korean public apartment projects, the effectiveness of the system in terms of estimation accuracy and user-friendly was confirmed. As a result, the developed system has an error range of 1.47% to 13.74% and mean of 6.15%. In addition, the system was evaluated that it could greatly improve the current estimation task of public officers. Consequently, the results of this research can be used as a foundation for a technological advance in estimating construction cost and improving the accuracy and consistency of construction cost estimation.

  • The construction industry has been behind in informatization compared to other industries such as banking, manufacturing, medical, etc. since it is not conscious of informatization and it also has difficulties in attracting investments and attracting IT experts. Furthermore, there has been lack of survey and research on that specifically what areas and how much degree they are behind in informatization. This paper presents a framework and strategy for assessment of informatization based on end users' viewpoints. The authors has already performed the assessment of informatization of general contractors based on IT experts' viewpoints. However, this paper tries to assess informatizaton of construction based on end users' aspects. The result of this research is expected to provide various aspects such as assessment, identification of needs, and problems regarding information systems. These could be effectively used as a guideline and a direction for information system development.

An Improved Process System to File a Claim in Construction Projects (건설공사 시 클레임 제기를 위한 프로세스 시스템 개선 방안)

  • Judging from the past cases, the contractor has frequently suffered losses caused by disapproved requests or reduced payments since it has not known the conditions of the contract or it has filed a claim to the owner without any proper claim system. Therefore, the existing claim process needs to be reformed. In order to reform the claim process, the contractor should consolidate the organizational structure, grant accurate duty assignments to the claims manager, implement regular staff training on how to deal with claims. In addition to this reformation, the contractor needs to improve the management of construction period and process control, and manage related documents thoroughly. Regular meetings are also necessary in claims. This study attempts to prove the effectiveness of the reformed process applied to Project "A", where the owner was responsible for the delayed supply of materials, inaccurate oral instructions, insufficient information on the work, and frequent changes of design. The project was completed in 96 months, which was extended by 34 months from the initial construction period of 62 months. The reformed claim process is expected to be of great help not only to largescale construction works but also to smallscale ones.

  • K-company, being in charge of domestic railway construction and facilities management, got a success rate of 41% with the implement of a improvement scheme by prosecuting of 6 Sigma and the achievement of CTQ (Success criteria : more than 0.5 in achievement of CTQ). It is clear that the factors having an effect on achievement of CTQ are the level of project when pushing forward the project(Big Y and small y according to the scope of the work), the degree of interest of an officer in charge like sponsors, and the continuous feedback toward the implement of a improvement scheme. For improvement CTQ achievement, firstly redefine about a type of project. Secondly, derive small y by Big Y and derives a unit work by small y. Then grouping the unit works and achieve Big Y by performing of every unit work as an executive subject. Thirdly organize a committee of subject selection which is supervised by the general manager. Therefore exhibit staff's leadership, for example motivation, by strong incentives. Lastly, provide ongoing learning and enhance system monitoring about a result management of an betterment execution department.

Decision Making Model for a Public Construction Project Delivery Method Selection based on Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP를 이용한 공공공사 입찰 방식 의사결정지원 모델)

  • The bidding method of public works is decided based on the experience of the officials in charge and the convenience of the work, but the validity of decision making process for the bidding method has not been verified. Another challenge in the bidding method selection is its objective validation is not easy because the decision making is based on experience, when a new type of project is ordered or a new bidding method is applied In this study, therefore, a decision making model to facilitate the selection of a public construction project delivery method was developed and examined with its applicability. This model was developed using the Analytic Hierarchy Process and was verified through 32 persons who were actually in charge of the works. As a result of applying this model, 5 of the 32 persons showed consistency in using the model. and they expressed positive opinions about the model. The model can provide a guide while recognizing the fact that they cannot depend entirely on the model. Therefore, the model proposed in this study is expected to reduce the work-related burden of the persons who are involved in the related work and help the objective performance of their tasks when a new bidding method or project appears in the future.
