Educational Support Activities of Private Organizations to Alleviate the Educational Gap: Focusing on Teach For America in USA and Dream Touch For All in Korea (교육 격차 해소를 위한 민간단체의 교육지원 활동: 미국의 Teach For America와 한국의 Dream Touch For All을 중심으로)

  • This paper aims to compare the two groups of TFA in U.S. and Dream Touch For All in Korea established with the same goals: 1) goal and core value, 2) qualification and training of teachers, and 3) educational performance. As a result of the analysis, the two groups showed that they focused on the role of teachers to improve the academic achievement of the underprivileged under the goal of solving the inequality of education. However, while TFA in the United States was able to function within public education, Korea's Dream Touch For All played a complementary role in public education. In the case of the United States, it appears to be a 'quasi-open' teacher training system that allows teachers from alternative teacher groups such as TFA to be accepted, while in Korea it shows the character of 'closed teacher training system' to be. For this reason, the two groups showed differences in core value, teacher training, and operating program, and as a result, they also set different educational models.

Relationship of Goal Orientation, Flow Experience and Self-Accomplishment among College Students Receiving Lifeguard Education (수상인명구조 교육 참여 대학생들의 목표지향, 몰입경험 및 자아성취감에 관계된 요인)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship of goal orientation, flow experience and self-accomplishment among students who received lifeguard education. The findings of the study were as follows: First, the task-involvement of the college students receiving lifeguard education, which was one of the sub-variables of goal orientation, had an impact on cognitive flow and behavioral flow, and ego-involvement affected cognitive flow. Second, the task-involvement of the college students receiving lifeguard education, which was one of the sub-variables of goal orientation, exercised an influence on their self-realization, display of ability and development of ability, which were the task-involvement of self-accomplishment. Besides, ego-involvement impacted on self-realization. Third, the cognitive flow and behavioral flow of the college students receiving lifeguard education, which were the sub-variables of flow experience, exerted an influence on self-realization, display of ability and development of display, which were the sub-variables of self-accomplishment. Fourth, the goal orientation of the college students receiving lifeguard education had a firsthand relationship to flow experience and self-accomplishment, and that had a secondhand causal relationship to self-accomplishment through flow experience as well.

A Systematic Review of AI Education Research Trends (인공지능교육 연구 추이에 대한 체계적 문헌고찰)

  • 본 연구는 최근 10년간 발표된 국내 학술지 및 학위논문을 대상으로 체계적 문헌고찰을 실시하였다. 이를 통해 인공지능교육에 대한 연구 활동 추이를 살펴보고, 향후 연구 방향성을 위한 기초자료를 확보하는 것을 목표로 한다. 연구방법으로는 학술연구정보서비스 데이터베이스를 활용하였고, '인공지능교육', '인공지능교육프로그램', 'AI교육' 등을 키워드로 검색하였다. 최종적으로 선정된 문헌은 51편이었으며 선정된 문헌의 연도별 발표 현황, 연구대상, 연구주제어에 대해 분석하였다. 그 결과 인공지능교육 연구 활동은 2020년부터 많은 연구가 시작되었으며 초등학생을 대상으로 한 연구가 가장 많았고, 키워드로는 인공지능, 인공지능교육, 초등학교, 소프트웨어교육, 언플러그드컴퓨팅 순으로 나타났다. 이를 토대로 향후 중·고등학교에 인공지능 적용 연구를 하고자 한다.

Development and Effectiveness Analysis of Sustainable Dietary Free-year Program for the Improvement of Youth Empowerment in Middle School Home Economics (청소년의 임파워먼트 향상을 위한 가정교과 지속가능한 식생활 자유학년제 프로그램 개발 및 효과분석)

  • The purpose of this study was to develop a sustainable dietary education program for middle school home economics subject using a teaching strategy to improve the empowerment of adolescents and to verify and evaluate the effectiveness of the program. To achieve the purpose of this study, the program was developed and evaluated according to the ADDIE teaching design model. The contents related to the dietary area were extracted from the technical & home economics curriculum of the 2015 revised middle school and SDGs, and their relevance was analyzed to select the contents of dietary education. The program developed based on the analysis results is 'dietary life together' and consists of five learning topics: 'living together in the global village', 'maintaining healthy diet', 'creating a dietary culture together', 'living with nature and people', and 'maintaining a safe diet'. As a strategy for improving empowerment, we presented four situations, each of which represents value judgment, prediction of results, responsible behavior choice, and decision making. The developed program was reviewed by experts and applied to 17 unit classes for 17 weeks (1 unit hour per week) to the third graders of middle schools in Gyeonggi-do. Significant differences were found between before and after the class measurements of the personal empowerment and the political and social empowerment, which shows the classes were effective in improving empowerment. However, since there was no significant difference in interpersonal empowerment before and after the program, suggestions were made to utilize strategies to facilitate discussion and cooperative learning when implementing the program. The students who participated in the class evaluated the program positively as a whole. The program was evaluated to have helped the students believe they could change society through solving dietary problems.

Navigating Identity: A Qualitative Content Analysis of Related Field Professionals' Views on Arts Education for North Korean Refugee Youth (탈북 청소년 대상 문화예술교육에 대한 질적 내용 분석 연구 - 정체성 형성 과정을 중심으로 -)

  • This research aims to identify current issues of arts education programs which have designed for North Korean Refugee Youth in South Korea and then navigates further steps to better serve the group. The purpose of study also pertains to the '2010 Seoul Agenda: Goals for the Development of Arts Education' announced at the Second World Conference on Arts Education, particularly, to the third Goal indicating how arts education practices can contribute to resolving social and cultural issues and promoting social cohesion and intercultural dialogues (UNESCO, 2010). This research engages with critical theory approach and adopts qualitative content analysis for collected documents and interview data. Based on the findings of this research, interview participants found its need of current arts education program for North Korean refugee youth become more value-driven and participant-centered. Currently, those programs available seem to incline to helping their adjustment to the South Korean society through arts-related activities, such as enhancing Korean language skills and learning Korean culture. Rather, it has been addressed that providing emotional and psychological supports and opportunities to search their own 'voice(s)' should be core objectives of the arts education programs. Moreover, when it is offered, arts educators and administrators need to make sure that participants can feel safe and secure as being present at the space for programs in order to express and encounter their true inner voice(s).

  • This paper is to analyze an app curriculum using smartphone authoring solution for the education of smartphone applications with optimized effectiveness by reducing time period of development. In addition, The best goal will find the effective training methodology for developers to develop application program running on smartphones with quick and easy way. The final goal of the paper is to find the best way on how to develop business application programs using an authoring solution for smartphone application. In conclusion, this paper covers the best solution and education of an high-tech authoring solution design for the effective smartphone applications to be used by experienced developers with perfect knowledge of the field for practical on-site.

The Influence of Robot Education Using Magnetic Force on the Computational Thinking (자력을 활용한 로봇 교육이 컴퓨팅 사고력에 미치는 영향)

  • The fourth industrial revolution is emerging as the talk of the times. The industrial structure is changing greatly from the past, as well as the social scene, changing our daily lives. Especially, the importance of the software sector is growing. For students who have to live in this future society, computational thinking is a key capability. In order to achieve this goal, this study was carried out in the following steps. First, we organized a SW education convergence program based on life-oriented aspects. Second, the configured program was applied to the site to verify the effectiveness of computational thinking. The results of this study show that the experimental group has 32 points better than the pre-test, and the comparative group has about 2 points better. The statistical significance probability was a significant difference of .028. The results of this study may be used as a reference for the training of SW convergence education and future talent in the future.

  • The purpose of this paper is to clarify the actual conditions of entrepreneurial school which was drawn from the new industry-academy cooperation paradigm, and to suggest a role model for educational program for entrepreneurial school, in order to increase its self-generating ability. According to survey of 5 entrepreneurial schools, most of curriculums did not show a user-based. This indicates that series of processes, such as analyzing user's(learner, local community, institution) request and setting up the goal are not being conducted professionally and systematically. Through this study, I would like to deliver the importance of new industry-academy cooperation paradigm of entrepreneurial schools and incite them to apply major principles of new industry-academy cooperation paradigm to their entrepreneurial education program, in order to enable continuous survival and development. This study has conducted research on the actual conditions of entrepreneurial school to examine whether the role model of entrepreneurial education program coincides with the paradigm of new industry-academy cooperation paradigm. Thus, this study has conducted two verifications as whole. First, through theoretical examination, this study has drawn out the major principles of new industry-academy cooperation paradigm and considered effective applying method for it. Second, this study has analyzed overseas' cases for development of entrepreneurial education program and proved the propriety of major principles. Through theory and case studies, the study presented a role models for each subjects and provided necessity for applying major principles to entrepreneurial school's research on the actual operating condition.

  • 의사와 환자의 관계에서 제도적 조건의 차이로 인한 대화 주도권의 불균형이 발생하고, 환자의 인식이 변화됨에 따라 의사와 환자간의 커뮤니케이션이 원활하게 이루어지지 않는 점이 문제가 되고 있다. 최근 의학 전문대학원 과정이 시작되면서 의학교육 프로그램이 통합 개선됨에 따라 인문사회 의학적 측면의 교육이 강조되기 시작하였고, 의료커뮤니케이션을 위한 교육적 필요성이 커졌다. 그러나 국내에서 시작단계에 불과한 의료커뮤니케이션의 교육은 그 내용과 방법론에서 체계성과 전문성이 부족한 상태이다. 이런 문제를 해결하기 위하여 의학분야에서는 의료커뮤니케이션 교육 과목과 정보통신기술을 활용한 교육도구를 개발을 목표로 하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 의료커뮤니케이션 교육에 사용되는 강의자료를 체계화하고, 체계화된 자료들을 이용하여 강의형태를 구성하여 강의흐름을 쉽게 파악할 수 있는 교육도구를 개발하여 의료커뮤니케이션 교육 강의에 대한 질과 효율을 높인다.

A Study on Changes in Chinese Public Diplomacy Strategy and Performance (중국 공공외교 전략과 수행방식 변화 연구)

  • This paper analyzes the implications of the change in the way China conducts public diplomacy, through an in-depth study of international education programs promoted under China's public diplomacy strategy. The leadership of Xi Jinping is now trying for China to become the top power in the world, not just a G2 country, based on China's economic growth over the past 40 years. Also, as a vision for the goal, the leadership is presenting the dream of the great revival of the Chinese nation. Currently, the international education program promoted at the level of public diplomacy in China is operated in an active, mid- to long-term manner within the national strategy, away from the past passive and responsive method. In other words, while China's past international education program was a passive model for dispelling the "Chinese Threat Theory," China's current international education program is evolving into an active model that can promote the "Chinese" order in the world.
