  • Photovoltaic and wind power generation have an advantage of unlimited and unpolluted amount of energy resource. In conventional wind generation systems, since the blade rotates at low speed when the velocity of wind decreases their operations are possible only under limited conditions. Therefore they are in trouble of self-generation without the help of auxiliary generation devices outside. The system driven by the wind force in this paper consists of a generator, an invertor, batteries and sets for power storage with a spring. In this paper, the operation characteristics of system were analyzed through experiments for a trial product.

  • In this paper, we applied the Utility Interactive Photovoltaic-Wind Hybrid Generation System for stock raising waste disposal system. For the power consumption reduction of proposed system, we used the electromotive control system. So as to verify the propriety of proposed system, we made a Pilot Plant and examined the system.

  • Combined generation system of Photovoltaic and wind generation have shortcoming that is different output power according to change of weather. So, the combined generation system is required backup system that such as a storage battery to supply energy, when not enough photovoltaic and wind power source for power supply equally and continually, because the energy source is changeable and stable through change of weather as irradiation, temperature, wind speed, wind direction, seasons, etc..

  • This study suggests a modeling of grid-connected wind power generation system that has induction generator, and aims to perform simulations for outputs by the variation of actual wind speed and for fault current of wind generation system by the transformer winding connection. This study is implemented by matlab&simulink. The simulation shall be performed by assuming single line to ground fault generated in the system. Generator power, rotor speed, terminal voltage, system voltage, and fault current shall be observed following the performance of simulation. The fault current change will be dealt through the simulation results for fault current of wind generation system following the grid-connected transformer winding connection and the simulation result by the transformer neutral ground method.

  • 본 논문은 뉴로-퍼지 제어기를 이용한 최적의 퍼지 소속함수에 동조하는 다층 신경회로망을 사용한 성능이 개선된 MPPT 알고리즘을 제안한다. 퍼지 제어기의 성능은 퍼지규칙과 퍼지 소속함수의 폭의 영향을 받는다. 뉴로-퍼지 제어기는 신경망 학습을 통해 퍼지 소속함수의 최적 폭을 이용하기 때문에 기존 퍼지 제어기보다 우수한 응답특성을 갖는다. 실험과 시뮬레이션 결과를 통해 제안된 알고리즘의 우수한 제어특성을 확인한다.

  • A wind power system with squirrel-cage induction generator has irregular change of output power according to the sudden change of wind speed. This paper describes the development of a active and reactive power compensator, which is composed of a 3-phase inverter and a bidirectional DC/DC converter with super-capacitor. The operational characteristic was analyzed through simulations with PSCAD/EMTDC and experimental works with a scaled model. The developed system can continuously compensate the active power change with energy storage and the reactive power change with 3-phase inverter.

  • Blade pitch control system monitors and adjusts angle of the blades and controls rotation speed of blades. This paper shows 2MW pitch system hardware and electric part. Blade pitch system consists of pitch drive, gear box, motor and energy storage. Fieldbus is base on CANopen protocol. Fail-Safe system moves the blades to a safety position in case of any fault condition. The super capacitor energy storage provides emergency back up to the Pitch servo driver during feathering the blades. This paper studied Blade pitch servo driver and a bi-directional DC-DC converter for fail-safe system.

  • This paper proposes the variable wind generation system based on the direct torque control(DTC)for the interior permanent magnet synchronous generator. The proposed system can achieve the MPPT control without wind speed in addition to the speed and position sensorless control as well as the conventional current control method. The DTC has several advantages such as simply system configuration, ease of the flux weakening control and the sensorless control. The experimental results show the performance of the proposed wind generation system.

  • As the increasing integrity of VLSI, the BIST(Built-In Self Test) is used as an effective method to test chips. Generally the pseudo-random test pattern generation is used for BIST. But it requires too many test patterns when there exist random resistant faults. Therefore we propose a mixed test scheme which applies to the circuit under test, a deterministic test sequence followed by a pseudo-random one. This scheme allows the maximum fault coverage detection to be achieved, furthermore the silicon area overhead of the mixed hardware generator can be reduced.

  • This paper describes the operation mode development for the grid-tied PMSG(permanent magnet synchronous generator) wind power system combined with a battery energy storage. The development of operation modes was carried out through simulations with PSCAD/EMTDC software and experiments with a 10kW hardware prototype. The detailed simulation models for PMSG wind power system and battery energy storage were developed using user-defined models programed with C-code. A 10kW hardware simulator was built and tested in connection with the local load and the utility power. The simulation and experimental results confirm that the grid-tied PMSG wind power system combined with battery energy storage can supply highly reliable power to the local load in various operation modes.
